5 – Do you respond to comments?

All the time! I was able to respond to literally every single comment back in 2022, but as last year went on, I realized I probably can't realistically do that anymore. It's a blessing and a curse.

6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

We already knew how this would turn out. Title not given directly in my answer in case of spoilers. My readers saw it coming because I had built up to it, but I took my time writing the gradual reveal in the last chapter to make sure it landed the way I wanted it to.

And one more comment I won't post here bc (for anyone who wants to read it) spoils the ending but shoutout to the person who physically felt the shock lurch through their body when the realization hit them after the slow build-up.

As much as I love angsty stories with happy endings, what gets me more are stories that are happy at face value, with endings that are heartwrenching because of the underbelly of what lurked beneath that facade.

7 – What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The Risen Lamb and the Fallen God. Bit a spoilers below if you're avoiding that

The original wedding fic (as part of the original series) is up, but it's going to get a good polishing in the rewrite. Lambert and Narinder are going to have a private first dance, Thenana and Narinder are going to have a deeper conversation, Ratau's interactions with Lambert are gonna be shown rather than just told, Aym and Baal will be revived.

8 – Do you get hate on fics?

Mostly no. There was one time last year that I was compared to another writer in the fandom and slowly asks evolved into "your own concepts are being done better by others" and shit, and the other writer got hate messages as well, and... well, it was a whole thing. Don't wanna talk too in detail about it because I don't wanna beat a dead horse but cotl writers have unionized so we got the last laugh I guess

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

lol ya it's on remainderofreality. What "kind?" uh. experimental because I'd never tried the genre before this fandom and it kinda shows but that's okay.

10 – Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Honestly, I'm not really into crossovers! Unless it's Webber in cotl. He can stay, he's cute.

11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yeah. It was actually the first fic I posted online, ever. In middle school, I wrote a whole ~100k-ish word self-insert pokemon fanfic, which I wrote by hand in like five composition notebooks, so I never posted that online. But after that I decided to post shorter one-shots for pokemon online, and a few months later I found one of mine reposted without credit. Plagiarized entirely, basically. It scared me and I deleted everything I had posted online, and I don't have extra copies of the works now. :(

12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but I'd be okay with it if I was asked beforehand and proper credit was given!

13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yeah! Of Duty and Devotion is basically a glorified roleplay between me as Aym, @i-eat-deodorant as Baal, @checkplzjuliet as The Lamb, and @surfdudeboy as Narinder. I also wrote Hide and Seek, a cute little Bishop family one-shot, with @lordiedams (hi Damien I miss you).

14 – What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Narilamb. I haven't focused on a ship for this long, except maybe Rupphire back in the day, but I'm fixated so much more on CotL than I was for SU.

15 – What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Honestly, Of Duty and Devotion lmao. I'm much more focused on my own projects and so are Pavi, Surf, and Juliet. I do want to finish it though.

16 – What are your writing strengths?

Pacing, diction, syntax, getting the intended point across and doing it well. Once I commit to doing something, I don't usually let myself "give up" on it, hence why I barely have any unfinished WIPs. That's a skill honed with tons of practice, though. I have massive ADHD, and I'm bad at finishing things, but when it comes to writing by god I'm gonna do it.

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

I often struggle to get to a point where I'm totally focused in on what I'm writing. It does happen once or twice a month, but honestly, I'm usually so busy with life stuff that I don't get to do that most of the time! I wish I had more time to make room for my hobbies, but alas. At least summer is coming up, and I'll be able to do that more often, hopefully!

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It's possible to do it naturally for sure, but I rarely see it done well in fic. I've never attempted it...... or, wait, have I? I guess Thenana's sign language counts, huh? ...I feel like I need to do more research about this topic to answer the question properly.

19 – First fandom you wrote for?

20 – Favorite fic you’ve written?

The Risen Lamb and the Fallen God or The Care and Keeping of Eldritch Gods.

Risen/Fallen (and the enemies-to-lovers narilamb dynamic) was like the first thing that I did to make a "mark" on this fandom, and I didn't expect it to inspire so many people for sure! But, the first iteration of the series was so rushed. I wrote the whole thing in just over three weeks and averaged one chapter published every day and a half. Now that I have a better grasp on the characters after playing with them for a long while, I get to see my improvement, and I get to see so many friends I've made along the way sticking with me, the revamped "director's cut" version is definitely on track to be my favorite work.

However. It has yet to surpass Care and Keeping. As the oldest of four kids in my family, I based so much of Shamura on my experiences as an eldest sibling, and many of the experiences the younger bishops had in their formative years on our own childhoods. I based Narinder's childhood off of brother #1's (brother who is two years younger than me), Kallamar's childhood on my own, Heket's childhood on my sister's (five years younger than me), and Leshy's off of my youngest brother's (ten years younger than me). This story wasn't just an exploration of the Bishops and their dynamic/relationship pre-canon, it's also a testament to my own love as an eldest sibling... and all the anxiety associated with that, too.

The Future of Dragon Ball

I was going to play Mega Man X5 tonight, but it's acting kind of buggy and I'm not in a mood to try to troubleshoot my copy of Legacy Collection 2, so I'll write about Dragon Ball instead. Specifically, what happens next?

Let me make this clear up front: I don't actually know the answer to this. I'm not an "insider" claiming to have "leaked" information. All I want to do is discuss the possibilities, and the culture of speculation that seems to persist in the fandom.

I tend to call this "modern" era of the Dragon Ball franchise a "renaissance", because very little official material came out between 1998 and 2012, and then after Battle of Gods ushered in this new wave of Dragon Ball movies, TV episodes, web series, and comics. I've been covering this all year in the #2023dbapocryphaliveblog, in case you're new to this blog, and while much of it hasn't been very good, there were a lot of bright spots. Battle of Gods, Broly, and Super Hero were classics, the Tournament of Power basically saved and otherwise lackluster Dragon Ball Super anime, and the Granolah Saga in the DBS manga is a fun read with a great cliffhanger.

However, things have slowed down a lot this year. The Granolah Saga ended and the manga began a long, long adaptation of the Super Hero film. There was some hype about a new Tenkaichi Budokai video game, but there's been no word on when it'll come out what we can expect to see. I get the sense that the fans are champing at the bit for some big announcement, like a new movie or anime series, but it hasn't happened.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but back in my day you just had to wait and see, and accept the possibility that you may never get what you were hoping for. The vibe I get from DBTwitter is that people think they can somehow manifest a new animation through sheer force of will. News will spread of some Toei panel and fans will cling to the hope that there must be some big Dragon Ball announcement, and it must be nothing less than a teaser trailer for Xenoverse 3, a DBZ remake, and release dates for the next five movies. Then the panel will come and go, and it just ends up being a fluff PR thing where a spokesperson says "Dragon Ball is very fun and Goku is cool." and that's it. And all the fans get upset until the next panel, where they put their clown makeup on all over again.

"No, this can't be happening. Dragon Ball 2uper is real..."

When I was still new to the fandom, I always wondered how Dragon Ball AF could be such a potent fantasy for so long. But now I've lived through the Dragon Ball Super era, and seen fans chasing similar dreams. People have been waiting for Xenoverse 3 for over six years. They've been expecting "Dragon Ball Super II" ever since Dragon Ball Super I ended five years ago. And I'd say it's a pipe dream, except fans held out hope for Tenkaichi 4 since 2010, and it looks like we're actually going to get that one? You never can tell with this franchise. My kneejerk reaction to Dragon Ball Magic is to dismiss it as fake, but I can't be completely sure.

The weird thing is that 2uper, Magic, and XV3 have been hyped up during a boom period for the franchise. Dragon Ball Super had a 131 episode run, followed by two feature films. It's still going, but people want 2uper to animate the Moro Saga. People want a new web anime, but there's already a web anime. Super Dragon Ball Heroes has been running since 2018 and it's still going. Xenoverse 2 is still releasing DLC packs. I recognize that some of this content isn't what everyone wanted, but it's weird how fans are demanding new projects before the old ones have run their course. At least when AF became a legend, there weren't any official works to compete for its attention.

It occurs to me that maybe this is just part of the fan culture, and every so often fans will collectively agree on some imaginary premise and Goncharov their own series. Maybe that's what AF was then, and what Magic is today. They're not hoaxes, but rather some sort of mutually-agreed-upon daydream. I'm not sure I get it, but it is what it is.

Anyway, my position has always been that Dragon Ball has ended before and can end again, so there's no reason to assume that there will be some new anime or movie or video game to look forward to. I watched Super Hero fully believing that this could be the last one, even though the box office numbers suggest that a sequel is probably inevitable. But nothing is guaranteed. Dragon Ball GT started strong in the ratings, only to get canceled about a year later.

And yet, there seems to be some kind of guarantee, because of this guy:

I think there are a lot of fans who believe that Dragon Ball Super has a lot of loose ends to tidy up, and the series can't end until Goku and Vegeta surpass Jiren, Beerus, Whis, and Orange Piccolo. And maybe this is true, but I'm not so sure. But Black Frieza isn't just a loose end. This seems like a pretty big honkin' deal, and it would be pretty weak if they wrapped things up without some kind of reckoning here. Frieza's the main villain of Dragon Ball Super now, and in his most recent appearance he revealed he can defeat Goku and Vegeta with frightening ease. And yet, he spared them. Why?

So that seems like the obvious direction going into 2024. This is why fans are so burned out on the manga this year, because they know a Black Frieza arc is coming, but they have to wait for Toyotaro to retell Super Hero before we can even find out when it's happening.

My guess is that Toei/Shueisha decides to tease this out even longer. We get to chapter 100 of the manga and it starts some bullshit arc about Goten and Trunks playing superhero park rangers on 17's island. Or... that dumb android from the Moro Saga comes back and they jerk around with that guy for 18 chapters. They'll get to Black Frieza eventually, but I suspect that they're holding off until they can set up a Black Frieza movie. Then the manga can just adapt that movie and everything gets paid off around the same time.

Either way, I'm a little skeptical about it just being Goku and Vegeta training to beat Black Frieza. I keep coming back to how he let them live at the end of the Granolah arc. Ostensibly, he just wanted to frighten them, and make it clear that he no longer sees them as a threat. But maybe there's more to it than that. Maybe Frieza needs them alive for some reason. Like he plans to use them to achieve some goal, or he needs their help to stop some even greater menace that we haven't seen yet.

Maybe that's what Frieza was talking about at the end of the Broly movie when he said he wanted "one other". I kind of thought he meant to use Broly as an ally against Goku and Vegeta, but maybe he's planning a campaign against some other guy, and he sees Broly as a potential resource. And maybe that's why he spared Goku and Vegeta on Planet Cereal. If he kills them, he might not be able to find Broly when the time comes. Or maybe he just needs all three Saiyans, so he has to pull his punches.

Or maybe I'm overthinking this, and it just turns out that Black Frieza ends with a manga arc where Goku turns "Ultra Instinct (Defined) (Remastered)" and wins a paint-by-numbers battle. Or Roshi beats Black Frieza, because that sounds like something Toyotaro would do.

So what would happen after Black Frieza? See, that's where I wonder about the future of the franchise, because so much work has gone into mining past arcs. The first DBS movie was about bringing back Broly, Bardock, and Gogeta. The second movie brought back the Red Ribbon Army, the androids, and Cell. Frieza will almost certainly get another turn, and then what? What's left?

I mean, let's break this down by the major antagonists we've had so far.

Pilaf Saga. The Pilaf gang are still living in Bulma's house, apparently, so that comic relief bit from Battle of Gods shows no signs of ending.

Red Ribbon Army. DBS Super Hero brought them back and opened some interesting doors for future Red Ribbon stories. It's hard to imagine the Army making another comeback since Cell Max destroyed their secret base and all their top leaders were killed. But the Red Pharmaceutical Company still exists and someone must have taken over after Magenta's death.

Tien Shinhan. Tien never left, and while I'd be down for a Tien-centric saga, it seems pretty unlikely after all these years. At best, he gets a prominent role in a story featuring some more important player.

King Piccolo/Piccolo Junior. Piccolo never left either, and now he's got his own movie in Super Hero.

Saiyans Saga. Vegeta never left, and DBS: Broly pretty much covered the idea of "here are some new Saiyans we didn't know about before."

Frieza Saga. Resurrection F, Tournament of Power, DBS: Broly, this upcoming Black Frieza thing, I think this has been covered.

Androids/Cell Saga. 17 and 18 never left, and the idea of more androids and a new Cell was already covered in Super Hero.

Majin Buu. It's been 27 years and no one seems to want to do anything with this guy. Maybe 2025 is the year when Akira Toriyama finally does some big Buu story to justify keeping him around this whole time.

Zamasu. I mean, the dude got erased, so it'd be pretty bullshit to bring him back. Then again, it was pretty bullshit of Toriyama to create this idea in the first place, so I can't rule it out. "Whoops, more Zamasu" might be the storyline that would force me to quit the Dragon Ball fandom for good.

Tournament of Power. I mean, they could do another Tournament of Power for funsies, but it probably wouldn't live up to the spectacle or the novelty of the original. More likely, I could see some adventures featuring prominent characters from the event, like Jiren, Hit, the U6 Saiyans, etc.

Moro. I did not enjoy the Moro arc much at all, so it kind of bums me out when people suggest that Toei should do an anime adaptation of it. To me, that would be just as big a waste of time as the DBS manga doing the Super Hero adaptation that's going on right now, but it would be even worse because Moro kind of sucks. In the same vein, doing stories that follow up on the Moro arc would be difficult because you'd have to refer back to the Moro arc, which only appeared in the manga, which not everyone read. So it's this difficult spot where you'd have to animate the Moro arc first, just to do a new arc about Merus and Jaco or whatever. It's probably not worth it.

Other Z Movies and GT: The success of DBS: Broly sort of opens the door for similar reboots of guys like Cooler, Turles, Janemba, Baby, etc. But honestly, this seems pretty far-fetched to me. Broly was a much, much bigger star than any of those other characters, so what worked for Broly isn't necessarily a road map for a guy like Bojack or Omega Shenron.

Looking over all of this, I kind of wonder what's left to do. Maybe something with Majin Buu, or the big shots from the Tournament of Power, and after that, I think they'll have used up all the viable nostalgia. After that, Dragon Ball will probably have to come up with something brand new, which is kind of a dicey proposition, because they've been hit-or-miss with that. Granolah and Tournament of Power were good, Moro and Zamasu were bad, so when I hear they're doing something all-new, I get kind of nervous.

But in the end, I don't know what will happen, which brings us back around to where I started. We'll just have to see what shakes out.

alsoooo, did you see that xenoblade chronicles X got announced? 🥰 i haven't played that one yet but i know a hell lot about that game and can't wait to finally experience it for myself! if you decide to ever get that game, we def need to play it together!! (there's at least a bit of multiplayer in the original X, so i'm assuming it'll return for the X remake/remaster)

I been enjoying A LOT Xenoblade Chronicles and Persona 3 <333 sadly I haven't get the oportunity to play them myself so im watching a gamplay (a pretty good one because it has almost all the content of the game :D)

I hope one day I can play the games personally, but if Xenoblade Chronicles X has multiplayer I will do everything in my power to get the game <3

I already finished the story Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and I! was! in! tears! That fight take too much from us to dont even be the last fight and not even be inside of the world tree!!! Seeing Klaus again make me feel angry but also happy haha, his desing was AMAZING! and the way it conects the story to the first game makes it an absolute masterpiece!

For My favorite characters I had to say that in the top of the list is Zeke and Pandy, I absolutely both those two and their dinamyc, having a friendship as caotic as that one is one of the most valuable treasures you can have in life <3 also I like Adam just as much as I love Zeke, both are so silly thats it is even cute and funny, of course Vandhan and Jin will forever live in my heart, and Mikhail, and Akhos, and probably Malos too I love him bit also hate him

For Persona 3 im right after the travel to Kyoto, right in the grief for Chidori 🥺(im still crying) I been enjoying the story a lot! The gameplay is so cool! I love how the importance of the social links <333

For My favorite characters first of all Junpei, I dont know why but I absolutely love him! He is so silly and adorable and dumb and silly 🥺 (he is so cute whenever he is with Chidori <333), i love a lot Ken too, but like my cutie patootie, I love how mature and determinated he is and yet he is still a child, I love him, I will take him as my baby 😺🌸 (also Maiko, she is so cute <3)

I absolutely adole Akihiko but he brings one of the worst part of me, idk why but whenever i saw him i feel the need to be silly and make self-depracation jokes, maybe because he is too serious? haha, Shijiro and and Makoto will live forever in my heart! and Aigis and Fuuka and Elizabeth and Theodore and Rioji and Chihiro and Yuko and Bebe

☀️ AnalyzGolden's Reactions To Disventure Camp Season 1: All Eliminations, Plot Twists, Etc. *Merge COMPILATION* ☀️

This Post is compilation of my reactions to Disventure Camp's Eliminations, Plot Twists, & Overall Big Moments.

For those of my followers who don't know, Disventure Camp is an independent animated YouTube show by OddNation Cartoons, that originated as a Total Drama fanfiction.

But due to legal stuff (Fresh TV HATES it when fan stuff of their shows get attention), they found a way around it by changing up the show to make it original, with completely original characters and settings. Because of this, they remade the first season after Season 2 was already done and published, and the remake (which is the version I watched) is the one that is canon to the show's story.

But surprisingly, I don't actually like zombie apocalypse stories. It's not just my cup of tea.

And I just naturally find that less compelling than stuff like Hunger Games, Squid Game, and Danganronpa, where there IS a possibility to escape your fate, even if it's really small.

With these kinds of stories, I'm just waiting for everyone to die. So I get less attached.

So, this is being written TEN MINUTES after I paused the episode in that frame.

What happened in between that ten minutes was that I PAUSED the episode, got out of my seat paced around my room in rage, SCREAMED THE F WORD, I'm lucky my family isn't home at the moment so they can't hear me, and I left the room and paced around in my kitchen to calm down because I felt SICK, HURT, TRIGGERED, and ATTACKED.

This is SHAMING someone with serious mental problems that need help.

This is not 'Oh, Ellie's ROASTING Jake right now, what a powerful moment for her! Hell ya, he deserved it!'

I actually KNEW this scene existed before I watched the show. But I had no context, didn't know what episode it was, didn't know when it showed up, and I didn't remember the exact dialogue. But it was in a clip of a reaction that was cheering for Ellie doing this.

I won't give names, I won't throw hands, that's not their fault if they see it that way. This is just VERY PERSONAL FOR ME.

I won't give massive details, because it's so personal, but why it triggered me? I HAVE BEEN THERE IN MY LIFE.

I HAVE BEEN THERE YEARS AGO, MULTIPLE TIMES, WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE DOING THIS SHIT TO ME. Acting JUST LIKE how Ellie does here, towards me.

It caused me a lot of problems growing up. My family AGREED with the people doing that, so that was not fun. They said 'I needed to hear this. I deserved it.'

So I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. This shit does no favors to the person you're 'roasting'. If anything, this makes the behavior you're calling out WORSE. They act even MORE like this whiny bratty type as a way to cope with the thought that everyone hates them!

While we're on the topic of the remake of Another Code

(⚠️ SPOILERS FOR THE WII SEQUEL PART OF THE GAME⚠️ I'm going to try to not get into it in too much detail but I'm still putting the warning up)

I personally never owned a Wii, and for the longest time I wasn't even aware there was a sequel, so I was very excited to experience it for the first time in the Switch remake. I played it completely with no prior knowledge at all and i thought it was nice! But after finishing the game and doing some research about the sequel, it turns out they especially changed a lot of stuff compared to the original Wii game. I think they changed more in the sequel than in the original DS game?

There were some changes that were pretty nice, like them adding a couple more characters of colour when previously, Ashely and her mom were the only non-white people in the whole cast. I also like some of the characters' redesigns way more than their original designs.

Some other changes were a bit understandable, I guess. Like the remake completely removing two extremely minor NPCs who only had like 2 or 3 lines. Sure, that's fine

The changes that surprised me the most though, was the game completely changing a major character's backstory. In the original game, the character is alive, but in the remake, they had them actually be dead the whole time. Their motivations are very different too. There's also a side story that got removed from the remake as well. I don't understand why they felt the need to drastically change so much

Again, as someone who never played the Wii sequel before, I thought the remake version was pretty good and I had fun with it! But after learning how much was changed, I do feel a teensy tiny bit disappointed since I was really looking forward to seeing what exactly I missed out on, but I can't really do that with the remake.

It's a good game, don't get me wrong!! But yeah if anyone wants to experience what the original story was like, it's best to play the DS and Wii versions or watch a playthrough on youtube. The Switch version is more of a retelling of the story

I actually haven't played the sequel yet (I was undergoing a treatment that severely affected my memory and starting a completely unknown puzzle game while in that state seemed like a great way to miss a Chekov's gun until it shot me in the face, and then during that time a new girl started at work and we were talking about our hobbies and I mentioned my love for DS-era puzzle games "like Ace Attorney or Trace Memory" and she lost her shit because she had played Trace Memory when she was younger but then forgotten it's name and had been trying to remember for ages, and then since I wasn't using my switch at the time, I lent it to her so she could play the remake and she still has it, so I'm just... logging hours in Sims while I wait for her to finish it) so this is helpful information to know! I definitely want my first experience with it to be actually playing it myself, so I'll wait until Karina is done (though I also told her she could play all the other puzzle games because so help me god I will BRUTE FORCE HER INTO MY INTERESTS) (though I think the one she wants to play the most next is Hotel Dusk since we literally work at a hotel, so we'll probably trade off DS for switch and I'll have the chance to play it then) and then look up a playthrough or something. That's interesting that they made so many changes and also makes me even more wary and protective of Hotel Dusk. I will Kill Anyone Who Touches It.

I'm really happy I made this decision! One of the best decisions when it came to characters even though I don't usually redesign my oc (only after 4 years or so - maybe even longer). But if God says so, then I'll do it!⭐

In my opinion, he's cool xD can't wait to show him the story and how God makes a way to write this amazing book!!

i've got 2 words : Mika Singh. but i will let the general public know what this disgusting song is about. it's portraying the female character as a car. and then proceeds to talk about how she should be able to go fast in a tedhi-medhi lane. and how she shouldn't slow down. and how she shouldn't have a break. how the world will tease her. and not to run away. give me attention. don't reject me. or else. basically if she does not do said things. it basically says she will get slapped. let's all just agree to the heinous crime that the existence of this atrocious song is. i can't even with mika singh. like. this song. what the fuck man. like what the actual fuck.

8. Tera Yaar Hoon Main.

i saved this for last. because i kinda love it. but also it fills me with so much sadness at the same time. With all the hype for the ffvii remake i watched some gameplays and AC and CC and okay 1- I absolutely love it, 2- I can't wait for E3 3- My fav is (of course) Cloud and I get some Allen vibes with the memory issues, guilt-complex and 'puppet' thing haha. Also, I saw that people call him 'emo' in AC and it bugs me because uhhh he clearly has ptsd?? What do you want him to do, jump around happily after what he went through?? (is this because in shonens the protag can shrug off anything?)

AND RIGHT???? Oh my god okay you have no idea how happy that makes me because I do see a lot of similitudes between Cloud and Allen (all you say + also the need to play up the mask of a loved one who’s death they feel guilty for for exemple. Also big sword linked to said person who died) but i was afraid i was just reaching bc they were two of my ultimate fav character ever and I try to find stuff to connect them a ha ha. And it make sme happy you like Cloud too aahhh he’s a bae

AND RIGHT!!!!! God i’ve never understood the backlash against AC. It’s true Cloud in the OG has far more nuanced personalities, but like, he was also holding back all his trauma in. (and a huge part of the game this nuance comes from the fact Cloud is managing to ignore his trauma so his personality can shine through). I think the problem of AC is that it’s relatively short in comparaison to a fullgame, so the plot cannot lose this much time with Cloud’s silly moments too all while his situation is pretty traumatic yeah?

I’ve seen a lot of people complain that “by the end of the OG he was over it, “let’s mosey” and all” and, to me i’ve always interpreted it much more as he knew the world was going to end if they did nothing, there was a sense of emergency that held back the impact of the trauma, also perhaps the “i’m probably going to die soon so who cares” attitude, and ppl also complain that “it is set years after the OG how is he not over Sephiroth/Aerith/Zack” and it still baffles me because 1) yeah so, not to mention symtoms of trauma can last a lifetime, the trauma he held back due to emergency at the end of the OG ended up biting him back, as it often happens in situations like this, 2) He was dying due to the geostigma, while also a kid he has in charge is dying from it, and everything he tried to save him had failed, so it brings him back into his trauma of all the people he couldn’t save, even deaths he had tried to come to term with 3) Geostigma is linked to Jenova which is linked to Sephiroth, the only fact he would suffer from it would call back to Sephiroth. The geostigma triggers back the sensations and memories he had from the pstd, the experiments made on him and all the puppet stuff 4) When it comes to the Zack’s stuff the OG seems to imply that Cloud’s memories remain blurry so the fact he still has to remember a lot of it + have to deal with the guilt of having forgotten and everything that followed gives plenty reasons to have still a large amount of backlash. 5) He has all the reasons ever to not manage to get over Aerith��s death and i find it bold from a group of fans who had never got over her death to blame him for that

Like, I understand wanting to see Cloud’s more light-hearted side, and apparently a lot of the spinoff games had mostly based their Cloud on himbeing grumpy and unfunny which yeah is a shame, (I would argue though that said spinoff always drag him back to Sephiroth, me too i’d be upset if it kept happening) but AC!Cloud in himself has all sorts of good reasons to be relapsing and experiencing symptoms of PTSD that aren’t that pretty. I personally love AC!Cloud’s characterization, to me it’s an opportunity for him to deal with his trauma for once rather than ignoring it.

I am looking forward to see him more joyful in the Remake hopefully! I just like AC still!

And honestly i cannot stress enough how glad i am that you felt this way omg bc this is one of my frustration in general with the fandom and i’m so glad you feel that for Cloud, and also i feel so validated in having drawn comparaisons to Cloud and Allen a few times ahah this is so great!

Nattoppet - Music used in the wonderful animation, "A Lullaby for Gods" I remember vividly watching the artist @guzusuru posting it bit by bit in gifs and short updates, and I remember the feeling of pure elation upon seeing this glorious animation completed. I actually use this song on a playlist for a Time God in another fandom now bc of how iconic it is. Here's the Tumblr post!

Fancy Footwork - This song was fucking ICONIC. The only bit of this that gets used in anything Homestuck is the last minute or so of the song, which was used in the "what now" gif meme. I actually put this on around my old OLD Homestuck friends and wait until the very end of the song for the payoff of them telling me to die lmao. Here's a video that still exists!

Nilili Mambo - MAMBO STUCK! It's a dope ass animation by @toastyglow, and even has an unofficial part 2 bc people wouldn't stop asking them for more. The original post doesn't exist bc iirc Toasty's entire blog got deleted a while ago and they had to remake, but the animation lives on in reposts, reblogs, and on youtube here. They were able to find the original post despite the deletion, it's here!!

Just Lose It - This was originally a Flash animation on Deviant Art and someone fucking uploaded it on Tumblr uncredited, but OP actually uploaded it on youtube! I used to just have it on in the BG for when I was vibing. But it still exists here!! I think their username is @notheterium (I owe u my life, thank u for this wonderful shitpost)

Oh No! - This was a dope as FUCK Vriska AMV using canon panels. It keeps getting fucking nuked into oblivion by copyright. I think the most recent re-upload I can even find is here. It's such a damn good AMV and I hope OP knows I will kill for them.

Stealth 零号式JPN - Remember back in like 2013 when everyone was drawing screenshots/panels as anime? Because Homestuck is our favorite anime! There was a really really lovely AMV using a bunch of the art being made. It slapped honestly, but the audio kept getting every upload taken down, but @twinkgami was able to send me a copy of the original file, so it lives on! There's no safe place to upload it unfortunately :( But the song is on youtube too! I'm not sharing it bc I don't want those videos to get absolutely clapped by copyright.

If I'm not mistaken, this AMV started the trend of putting series finales to this song! Ever since I've seen one for Gravity Falls, and Steve Universe among others. It's just. Iconic.
