Cross doesn't like fighting Epic since they are pretty close but this doesn't stop him from getting competitive.

On a few occasions they will team up on you. I don't think they would really plan it unless it was your birthday or something special like that. When they do it it's usually just an accident and their moods synced to cause chaos.

When they team up they are menaces! Road trip with those I love

You stuck your head out of the window, enjoying the roads rolling past you and the almost-sweet smell of the air… you’d always liked the more rural parts of Japan. Akito hummed along to the CD you’d put in at the start of the drive, it had looped a few times by now but he didn’t mind.

You two didn’t talk much, only occasionally pointing things out to each other… like the bakery near the exit that he wanted to try or the fields of sunflowers that you wanted to run free in. You two could do those things on the way back, if you ended up on the same road- you’ve got a destination you need to get to. A music festival with a competition for rising street-style singers… and of course Vivid Bad Squad wanted in. So, the two of you got to adventure your way there, rendevouzing with the other group members when night falls and you need to find a hotel, or when they want to go do something together. The two of you got some alone time during it all, but you did have to admit sometimes you wish you all took the same car. Both because you could tease Akito without the risk of him crashing the car and because you could share some calmer moments with him and the rest of VBS.

“Hey, you hungry? Kohane’s stopping to get soba with An and Toya.” You tap his shoulder, and he softly smiles at you.

“Yeah, sounds nice. You think Toya would mind riding with us and taking over driving for a bit?” He hums, following Kohane’s car to the soba resturant- a small joint, nothing much. You hop out of the car much faster than him-

“Hey, wait for me, dork! You can’t just abandon your partner-“ He’s going red… you pivot from heading to meet up with An and instead bolt over to Akito, hugging him as tight as you physically can.

“There we go, you are henceforth unabandoned!” You giggle, and he sighs warmly.

“I wonder how you can just use the word henceforth like it’s normal… this is what I get for choosing a nerd, huh?” He brushes his head against yours, before breaking away to talk with Toya and the others.

You eat lunch together, and you and Akito manage to convince Toya to drive you two for this leg (at the price of various coffee hard candies and various kisses). As he starts up the car, Akito worms his arms around your waist and leans his head on your shoulder.

“How is the seatbelt not digging into your neck and killing you.” You’re just honest and blunt as per usual, not acknowledging the affection verbally though you do raise a hand up to ruffle his hair.

“Shh, don’t care.” He nuzzles in and as you get moving again you can feel him slowly drift off to sleep. You talk with Toya, quietly so as not to disturb your partner, until the warm coziness of a rumbling car and arms around you and your favorite maestro’s humming mixed with the soft breaths of your marigold’s slumber lull you to sleep. You wonder how An and Kohane are doing… you hope your mouse and melody are driving safe.

You wake up to Kohane’s giggling and the sound of a camera flashing… Akito is still dead asleep, the car’s parked somewhere and it seems Toya met up with Kohane and An again. While you slowly shake the sleepy fog from your eyes, An wakes Akito up via a kiss on the lips sleeping beauty style… and then when that doesn’t work on him a light smack on the forehead.

“Huh? Whuh? Where…” His voice is all sleep-raspy…

“We’re gonna check out the venue. You’re coming with, it’s important to scope out where we’ll be performing.” While An speaks, you get up, stretching out your stiff muscles.

“And also leg stretch before the hotel. We’ve been driving for hours, we need to stretch.” Kohane’s voice is extra sweet today, you flush a little at the sound of her.

You nod, Akito joining the group outside, as you giggle and race each other to the stage.

Three Captains

Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar Law, Eustass Kid. Three Captains from the Worst generation. I love their relationship and interactions so much, because they remind me a lot of siblings! All their rivalry, jokes, malicious teasing on the sly and infuriating with snide comments. Inciting and dared eachother to commit illogical, absurd and actually stupid actions.

What’s especially funny is that Luffy, Kid and Law, despite their undoubted mutual respect, recognition of each other’s strengths and moral qualities (which, however, they will never say directly or show clearly), simply cannot be around without pissing each other off. Like three mischievous idiot brothers constantly poking each other with sticks.

We certainly know how Luffy’s childish spontaneity affects Trafalgar and how it can triggered our stern Surgeon of Death. But what about Eustass Kid?

Always cool and calm, Law instantly becomes a bully just by looking at his competitor in the Worst Generation, as was the case when they first met. It’s as if he’s a 13-year-old teenager again: his middle finger extended towards his opponent, and his mischievous grins in a verbal spat with him and quite ambiguous remarks and jokes about his battle tactics against Big Mom. At these moments, even the younger Kid seems like his older brother next to Law.

If Luffy simply infuriates Trafalgar with his childish spontaneity, like a real little brother, Law’s relationship with Eustass is more like a squabble between the same age kids or twins. Well, or at least classmates. And they are both, for a moment, quite adults!

One of them is always angry and aggressive, the second is cold, somewhat arrogant and unsociable. But both seem to happily and unconditionally succumb to the adventurous provocations to which this rivalry pushes them. But Law, even as a child, never succumbed to emotions like that, was a calm and serious older brother for his little sister, and he behaved almost the same way in the Doffy family, before getting closer to Cora. Only with Cora-san his emotions manifested themselves much more vividly and diversely. Who knows, maybe Kid evokes in Law some hidden associations with his benefactor, at least externally, since he can feel so relaxed and spontaneous in his presence.

So I'm very interested in what kind of chemistry is between the three Captains. Is this the influence of the power of Luffy’s fruit, or the influence of D. It still seems to me that Kid may also very well turn out to be a representative of this clan, because we don’t know anything about him yet (and besides, that’s exactly how I explained that erroneous the disappearance of the second letter D from his name, ha ha). Or is it simply a clash of similar sides of independent and free characters, but at the same time I get the feeling of precisely brotherly ties with all their feigned hostility and causticity.

I really hope that in the future they will remain comrades on the same side of the barricades, and that the fight for the Main Prize will not make them real enemies. I find their stupid relationship very valuable and touching. After all, this is a real, albeit not blood, brotherhood. And One Piece is wonderful in precisely these interactions and relationships.

Всегда хладнокровный и спокойный Ло моментально заводится и включает хулигана, только взглянув на своего конкурента по Худшему поколению, как было при первой их встрече. Словно он снова 13-летний подросток: и этот его средний палец, вытянутый навстречу сопернику, и шкодные ухмылки в словесной перепалке с ним и вполне себе двусмысленные замечания и шуточки по поводу его тактики боя против Большой Мамочки. В эти моменты даже более младший по возрасту Кид кажется рядом с Ло его старшим братом.

Если Луффи просто бесит Трафальгара и выводит из себя непосредственностью, как самый настоящий младший братишка, с Юстассом у Ло отношения больше похожи на перепалки погодок или близнецов. Ну или хотя бы одноклассников. А они оба, на минуточку, вполне себе взрослые люди!

Один — мрачно-злобный, вечно сердитый и агрессивный, второй — холодно-отстраненный, несколько высокомерный и нелюдимый. Но оба словно с радостью, безоговорочно поддаются авантюрным провокациям, на которые их толкает это соперничество. А ведь Ло, даже будучи ребенком, никогда так не поддавался эмоциям, был спокойным и серьёзным старшим братом для своей сестрёнки, практически также он себя вел и в семье Доффи, до сближения с Корой. А вот с ним как раз его эмоции проявлялись куда более ярко и разнообразно. Как знать, может Кид и вызывает в Ло какие-то скрытые ассоциации со своим благодетелем, хотя бы внешние, раз он может себя чувствовать настолько расслабленным и непосредственным в его присутствии.

В общем, мне очень интересно, что же это за химия такая между тремя Капитанами. Воздействие ли это силы фрукта Луффи, или же влияние Ди (мне до сих пор кажется, что Кид тоже вполне может оказаться представителем этого клана, ведь мы ничего про него пока не знаем, ну и, к тому же, я именно так себе и объяснила то ошибочное исчезновение из его имени второй буквы Д, ха-ха). Либо же это просто столкновение схожих сторон независимых и свободных характеров, но при этом у меня возникает ощущение именно братских связей при всех их напускной враждебности и колкости.

Очень надеюсь, что в будущем они останутся боевыми товарищами по одну сторону баррикад, и борьба за главный приз не сделает их настоящими врагами. Мне кажутся очень ценными и трогательными их дурацкие отношения. Ведь это и есть настоящее, пусть и не кровное, братство. А Ван Пис именно такими взаимодействиями и отношениями и чудесен.

Rana/Neve ship alphabet to flesh out some dynamic headcanons - SFW version

Most of these are answered in a sort of post-canon together, when they're working in their detective agency. But also I'm inconsistent.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

They're sweeties once their walls come down. Neither is a big feelings-talker if they can avoid it; there are times when only words will do, but thankfully many other times when actions speak louder. What really counts for both of them is effort and time, so that's how they show each other their love day to day.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

We know all about Neve, thee ride or die, through her canon friendships with Rook and Bellara especially. Rana is pretty similar but more upbeat/less cagey - a ride or die (she learned her lesson when she didn't ride for Neve against Aelia in Tevinter Nights - and Neve almost died), a bit of an earnest dork, generally friendly and helpful.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Cuddling comes to both of them slowly like awkward shelter cats. They have sex, then what? Is it okay to want to touch each other still, once they're "done"? It takes some time before they're comfortable touching each other outside of that context. Neve used to feel smothered being on the bottom at all, but she comes to love the feeling of Rana (taller, heavier) laying on top of her, head on her chest. She likes to scratch Rana's scalp or rub her shoulders. Rana likes it too; she feels reassured that Neve is safe, warm, and happy and there's no better way to be sure than listen to her heart and feel her full-body warmth. When they sleep, either Rana is usually the big spoon or she lies on her back with Neve cradled against her side. They each need their space sometimes, even in bed, so they don't sleep all tangled up every night.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

"Settling down" is a little off-base for Rana and Neve - neither desires a "traditional" life and neither is likely to want to slow down on work any time soon. But in the way "settling down" means "maturing in a relationship, choosing it, and prioritizing it in one's life", then yes, they want that. Neve is certified disaster woman and has limited domestic skills, as Rana and others tease her about. Her apartment is "clean" in the sense that she doesn't have anything in it and is never there to make it dirty. She has a hotplate and can Prepare Food but cannot Cook, but can wash a mean dish and pick a great wine. Rana was both raised to be a homemaker and is a generally fastidious person, so her domestic skills are great. Her room is always in perfect condition, her laundry is all ironed, she washes dishes as she uses them. She hasn't had much opportunity to cook, having spent her adult life living in the Templar quarters, but still knows all her family recipes and can make solid nutritious meals

E = Ending (If they had to break up, how would they do it?)

If they broke up, they would have half a conversation about it before feeling too vulnerable and cutting each other off and agonizing over the things left unsaid forever :c

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

The "commitment" part is probably the least of their apprehensions in being together. They ARE commitment to everything they care about, so once they get over themselves and commit to each other, it's a pretty natural progression. Do they care about being "married"? Probably not. Same-sex marriage is definitely not legal in Tevinter until Archon Pavus/Tilani gets their hands on the place, so it may not quite even register as a possibility let alone a priority. I could see them eventually marrying in a hush-hush, intimate ceremony with like 10 friends, but there's no rush and neither would be particularly bothered if they never got around to it

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Neve is far gentler than she'd like to admit. Rana can be a bit clumsy and single-minded, making her sometimes come off gruff/cold, but her heart's in the right place. Their relationship built off tentative contact, both physical and emotional. But they don't mince words - they'll argue, they'll call each other out, they'll push each other around, they'll grab the other to keep her from storming away. Rana is a little more hesitant, but not because she's gentler - she's worried about Neve icing her out if she pushes too hard. So they're a mixed bag. They're gentle, but they don't hold back when the situation calls for a firmer hand (for Neve especially, this would be a colossal turnoff).

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

As much as I want it to be a very long time, it doesn't work with my headcanon timeline. I think it could go two ways - either they get the tortured "If I don't say it now..." moment that Rook/Neve shares before departing for the final battle, or they get basically the blightmance post-credits scene. So by my timeline, there's like max a month between quasi-getting together post-Aelia/forming their gay detective agency and vomiting out their feelings under duress.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Neither of them is really the jealous type - they don't feel possessive of each other, they trust each other, they're too old for any immature "that saleswoman flirted with you why didn't you tell her you have a girlfriend??" crap. Sure a bit of jealousy crops up sometimes - they're passionate women, hearts on their sleeves, oftentimes emotionally stressed by work - , but they take it as a 'me' problem. When Neve feels jealous, it's usually rooted in a self-defeating "well, she'd be better off without me anyway" fallacy which she increasingly knows is bullshit. Rana's more run of the mill jealousy from time to time - Neve's a popular girl, especially post-canon, so it grates on her sometimes to see people fawn over her girl. But she's too pragmatic to date the hottest shit in the world and get mad because other people have eyes, too.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Neve likes a slow, sensual kiss, even if she's not trying to warm up for sex. She allows herself so few indulgences, and that's one. She balances herself out with more chaste kisses on Rana's cheek, forehead, shoulders, knuckles - little affectionate things she'd have felt too skittish to do before. Making out has always been pretty easy because it leads to sex which is also easy; laying a tender butterfly kiss on the bridge of her sweetheart's nose as she falls alseep in her arms is intimate and thus vulnerable which is icky but she's getting better every day! Rana has a bit of the same hesitance, but it's more about her-and-Neve after years of keeping each other at arms' length than it is about intimacy in general. Rana's kisses are very physical, not just regarding her lips but how she holds Neve and touches her while they're kissing: cradling Neve's face in her hands, rubbing her back, squeezing her hands and also her ass. Rana likes to kiss Neve's new scars, her nose and boob freckle, the back of her neck every morning.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Neve's got a soft spot the size of Thedas when it comes to the little ones of Docktown. Of course she'll help find a puppy, of course she'll do whatever she can to make sure an orphan is looked after, of course she keeps little drawings and trinkets that the kids who look up to her give her. Rana is about as good as any adult who doesn't interact with kids much; she's a little awkward and doesn't quite know what they expect from her, but she's kind and tries to make them feel comfortable.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

They often work nights and sleep during the day, so instead of "morning" I mean "the time period after they awaken." They're both get-up-and-go people. They make their own schedule, so there's usually nothing super pressing first thing in their day, but they don't like to linger for too long. They'll have a quick snuggle or maybe a quickie if they're feeling saucy, make breakfast, wash up, and they're out the door if only to take a walk before the craziness sets in.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

They're often working nights so as above, this is more "the time period when they're both home before they go to sleep." After a day of working together, they both like to decompress and spend a little time alone. Neve likes to read or play with the not-theirs cats, or writes to friends. Rana also reads - she picked up Brom's romance serials after they put Aelia away, to her slight embarrassment - and exercise. Sometimes Neve pretends to join her, but she mostly just watches. They try to go to bed together, mostly because their apartment/bed is small and they'd hate to wake the other up, but also to reconnect a little (or a lot).

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

*extremely loud incorrect buzzer* If it weren't for a crisis like the one that unfolds in-game, Neve and Rana would probably never get over themselves and express their feelings. Hell literally froze over before they mustered a "so, what are we" conversation. They've lowkey been each other's 'person' for years; they seek each other out when they need help'; they trust each other more than anyone else. They're a classic slow burn, but shit ramps up so fast and they're both so emotionally constipated that it feels like going from 0-100 to hold hands the first time.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Both pretty patient and thick-skinned. Righteous fury, indignation, feeling insulted, etc - those come much much faster than "anger". They both will get heated on behalf of others long before they get heated on their own egos.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

They're detectives - goes without saying they're locked in on every detail forever. They both also hold grudges. Not against each other (mostly), but they'll beef with other people for eternity.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Neve will never forget when she warned Rana that she'll lose her job for going after Aelia, and Rana not even hesitating to stick by her because it was the right thing to do. Rana failed to show up for her when it counted once before - so the proof that Rana's both grown as a person since (developing her own morals and caring for more than just following the rules) and will stand by her through and through this time means a lot. Even though it opened up a can of worms and became awkward pretty much immediately, Rana's favorite is the memory of waking up together after the first time they slept together. She always knew Neve's coldness was a front, and she had empiric evidence to prove her hypothesis then. It's hard to express herself through words, but she could feel how much Neve needed the touch and it was a bit of a revelation to realize how badly she (Rana) wanted to be that for her.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Both of them are very independent, so they'd bristle and feel smothered by the other being overly "protective", nor would they expect the other to appreciate the same. This goes double for Neve, who profusely rejects anything she perceives as coddling due to her disability (definitely something Rana fucked up early on - she thought she was being courteous, but she was wrong). They'll each throw themselves in front of the other to take a nasty blow, but they're not going crazy over every lump the other takes. It's just the way the cookie crumbles when you do what they do, and they're both pragmatic on top of having faith in the other's capabilities. They'll go to bat for each other any time, for any reason, against any challenge. That's what counts for them both - it's not about feeling "protected", but about feeling safe. And knowing they can rely on each other, seek each other out for help, and share triumphs and failures is what makes them feel safe together.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

It's definitely more about everyday sustained effort for them VS any sort of big gesture. They're both sentimental, so they *like* going on dates and celebrating their anniversaries, but it's not what really makes them both feel loved so they don't put a lot of effort (or money - which is always pretty tight) into them. Everyday tasks like Rana making breakfast and Neve doing the dishes, Neve making the bed even though she doesn't gaf about that because she knows Rana does, Rana grabbing a new bottle when she notices Neve's favorite conditioner is running low, etc - that's their bread and butter. They don't always know what to say to show each other how much they care, but they can always figure out what to do.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Neve can really be her own worst enemy. She's prone to agonizing and suffering in silence, no matter how much she knows she doesn't have to. Eating primarily fried fish is also a bad habit, as is over-working herself, skipping sleep, and not resting enough. Rana can be judgmental and rigid, so she might put her foot in her mouth even when she means well or die on a hill she doesn't need to die on. Like Neve, she'll burn the candle from both ends to get the job done, and let her sense of righteousness lead her unprepared to places she probably should have gone with a gun.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

This is a certified Vain4Vain relationship despite both of them otherwise being pretty down to earth. It's not about Being Beautiful; it's about being highly concerned with the way they're perceived by others. Plus they're Tevene, and public presentation is part of their culture. Neve's appearance is wholly part of her costume and she's very deliberate about maintaining it: her ceaseless tidiness (despite being a disaster woman), her uptown vibe (despite being broke), her intimidating imagery (despite having the softest wettest heart in the world), her disarming beauty (but don't look farther than skin-deep!!). In many ways, Neve's beauty is a means for her to push people away, not to attract them. Rana is all about portraying an image of order and effort; her reputation as a 'clean' Templar is something she's proud of, and so she demonstrates it in her appearance. Her armor is shined, her boots are polished, her braid is perfect with every single hair in place, her spine is straight. That said, they know they're both hot and they don't *hate* it.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you each other?)

Absolutely yes, they're pathetic in many ways but not this one.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Misc headcanons include:

Rana was among the small group of Templars who were on the job with Neve when she lost her lower leg, and helped carry her to a healer. Part of why they're awkward about each other as of Tevinter Nights is that they shared this highly sensitive and delicate experience as virtual strangers, probably about 45 minutes after making eye contact for the first time and mutually thinking "she sucks... smash"

They had sex exactly once pre-DAV: after Brom's funeral (grief, not wanting to be alone, also drunk) and never talked about it, so they still feel Conflicted about it months later. This is why they're even weirder about each other in the game than they were in Tevinter Nights.

They don't 'adopt' cats together per se, but they don't stop cats from coming into their apartment and they feed the strays in their alley. They're all named "Wisp"

Rana comes from the type of middling Soporati family that sees themselves as temporarily-embarrassed Altus mages, so they had high hopes of pushing her into an illustrious marriage in hopes of starting the Savas mage line. She ran away and joined the Templars as soon as she came of age. Although the attention embarrasses her, she does lowkey love the possibility that her parents are out there fuming reading the shitty rags and hearing alll about their daughter being the main squeeze of Thee Neve Gallus, notorious shit-strirrer, extremely powerful mage, and Hero of the Veilguard

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Any sort of spinelessness or posturing is a huge turnoff for them both - stand for what you stand for, and mean it, or sit down. Despite recognizing its major issues, they're both proud to be Tevene and Mintrathous natives, so outsiders shit-talking their homeland pisses them both off. In a partner, Neve can't stand someone who's too clingy - she'll feel smothered. She's starved for affection and touch, but there's definitely a too-much that would make her skin crawl, just as there's a too-little that would make her feel vulnerable and rejected. Shelter cat style. Rana also doesn't want to feel tied down, but she's not as sensitive about it. Her biggest turnoff is crassness - excessive swearing, rude language, crass jokes. She's also sensitive to feeling disrespected (she got enough of that every day as a Templar in mage-supremacy Tevinter)- she likes Neve's gentle ribbing, but her boundaries aren't far past that.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Neve routinely passes out in her dirty street clothes and makeup on the top of her covers out of sheer exhaustion. Rana does NOT allow this whenever they crash at her place/when they move in together, partly because she also doesn't let Neve run herself that ragged anymore; sure, they'll both go-go-go until an important case is done, but Rana ensures they rest between cases so they don't get totally rundown. (Rana once had a job and is familiar with the concept of "clocking out" unlike Neve). Rana can't go to sleep unless she puts her clothes away and at least washes her face/brushes her teeth, so she introduces Neve to the concept of a "nighttime routine".

While alone, Sonic is quite affectionate ! His love language is quality time ! So, while being with you alone, he'll talk so much with you. He just finds you so interesting ! But in public or with his friends ? Not so much.

B-Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend ?)

He'd want a loyal friend, who is honest and open with him ! And he has Tails, and he wouldn't trade his little fox friend for the world !

C-Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle ? How would they do it ?)

Sonic is in between about it. He wouldn't initiate it, but wouldn't protest if you came over and hugged on him for a while. He would insist on being the big spoon.

D-Domestic (Do they wanna settle down ? Are they good at cooking and cleaning ?)

The idea of settling down kinda doesn't sit right with him. Like, Sonic loves you dearly ! But it would take a loong while for him to decide to, He's not good at cooking or cleaning-

He wouldn't do it straight away, after all, he didn't want these fun times to end with you. Sonic would still love to be your friend ! But a romantic partner not so much. He'd do it over text, he wouldn't be able to take it if it actually upset you.

Sonic, he has a tad bit of commitment issues. it would take him at least over 5-6 years to even think about getting married.

He definitely isn't all that gentle physically. Sonic plays rough. But emotionally, he'll try his best, but he isn't that good in emotional situations.

He likes hugs ! He won't often start one, but he loves it when someone hugs him unexpectedly. He'll hug you back, not tightly nor softly, but just the right tightness. His hug is oddly cold though.

Immediately. He just loves you so much ! Why wouldn't he ? He just doesn't say it in public.

Sonic gets jealous super easily, and when he does, it's a raging fire. He'll turn the conversation to something else, or rest his arm around on your hip.

Sonic kisses are deep, and full of emotion. I dare say, he is quite good at it. He loves to kiss your insecurities. He just thinks you shouldn't be insecure, he loves them ! He on the other hand likes to be kissed on the neck. It just feels nice.

Kids annoy him. He will never have kids to be honest. Too much responsibility.

I forgot about the kittypet Sandstorm stuff! I think that could be a fun AU, definitely :D

I don't know much about it at all, but I certainly wasn't expecting Fireheart to be related to Tigerclaw. Given Tigerclaw and Rusty's dynamic in canon, I suppose that'll definitely make for some drama between the two.

I wonder how relationships will be this time around, as well. Is it going to be a SandstormxFireheart? Or how about Fireheart's other relationships in general, since he isn't just swapping roles with Sandstorm - he's the oldest (assuming) son of the most well-respected cat in the clan. Is he Goldenflower's child? Realistcally, probably not since Goldenflower had Swiftpaw before getting with Tigerclaw at all, but speaking of Swift, I imagine Fires relationship with him/his other siblings will probably be a Whitestorm/Graystripe thing. Although hopefully closer, but I imagine that depends on how much Fires actually follows in his father's evil pawsteps or whatever.

I have a soft-spot for "aged-up Fireheart" AUs, so hopefully he is cool, and hopefully Sandstorm will give him a hard time because I can imagine Fires as this really good fighter that likes to look cool but also is kind of a huge dork and she relishes in the fact he's not "perfect" like daddy is.

It will probably be more Sandstorm & Fireheart rather than Sandstorm x Fireheart.

He is Tigerclaw's eldest kid and Goldenflower is not his mom, so him and Swiftpaw are more step-siblings. His mom is unknown by anyone in the clan except Tigerclaw. She was might be a kittypet. Don't speculate on that while Tiger is around.

I could write a whole nother post about him and Tigerclaw's relationship. But to put it in a nutshell, Tiger's hard on him for a multitude of reasons. The conscious part of it is Fireheart's other half of parentage, the subconscious part is his resemblance to Pinestar.

As for his relationship with Tigerclaw, well... It wasn't bad, at first, Fireheart thinks. Tigerclaw is hard on him, but he's not cruel. Affection tends to be more of a reward than a given. But Tigerclaw is fairly quick to boast about his son's skills to the clan. He gets a lot of extra training from Tigerclaw when not training with Bluestar all of which quickly makes him the best fighter out of the apprentices, which gets rid of most of the rumors surrounding Fireheart's parentage. So it's all in his best interest clearly. His dad just wants what's best, right? It's not until Bramble and Tawny are born that he notices the stark differences in how Tigerclaw treats them.

Swiftpaw adores him. He knows him as his kickass older brother. And since Longtail is close to Tigerclaw and wants to stay in his good graces there's not really anything to influence Swiftpaw otherwise. Fireheart loves him right back and tries to be a good influence.

He's cool to an outside observer, being the most skilled out of the apprentices due to the extra training and being Tigerclaw's son. But he's insecure and a people pleaser. He's also a massive dork when you really get to know him. No he's not evil.

Him and Sandstorm hated each other through most of their apprenticeship. He's not a bully, but he hangs around her bullies and though he doesn't join in, he won't defend her either. So she's bitter towards him. Sandpaw can't beat him in a fight, but she does leave him in the dust with hunting, which upsets Tigerclaw, which makes Fire a bit bitter. Tiger did not spend his time getting rid of the kittypet rumors surrounding his son just to have him get shown up by a kittypet. They get better eventually though. I honestly see them as platonic, but in a way that can easily be read as romantic.

Sandstorm has ulterior motives for befriending him, but yeah eventually she comes to love his dorky self and finds someone she can relax around. He also likes her for being someone he doesn't have to put on a show for constantly.

Just as a little fun thing for being so amazing some headcanons from my own fics for them:

She calls him senpai, yes, she is that otaku.

He calls her issi after they have been dating for a while. It's short for Pianissimo which is 'to play softly' in music terms.

He couldn't initially hear her song, because he was trying to listen as the audience, but it turns out he was a part of the music. (He can hear her song when they are doing things together)

She struggles with the attention he gives her. She both loves it and is overwhelmed by it.

He is likewise overwhelmed st times, by her sincerity. He is used to people hiding their emotions from him and having to intuit meanings. With her it is just all out there, and he's not used to so much openness.

She plays the ocarina(yes she is still a dork) bit not very well. She also plays the recorder, this one very well. (I had written this long before the movie came out)

He tried to ask her out the first time vis texts. She literally ran to the boat to be there in person (a sweaty panting mess) because 'You just have to do these things right.'

Astarion clucks indignantly. "Listen, wise-arse, I love blood. Big fan of the stuff. Blood, gore, viscera, all that." He brings two fingers to his mouth and gives a chef's kiss. "Love it. But this..." He spreads his hands wide, waving around at the horrorshow surrounding them. He leans to one side and points to the ground to accentuate his next words. "This is fucking foul. I'm a vampire, not a godsdamn ghoul. I've got standards. Piles of dessicated bodies? Ugh. At least commit to an aesthetic beyond 'thrown out with the trash.' It's fetid down here."

From a meter or so away, Shadowheart looks back over her shoulder. “You done?” she says.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Not the greatest at communicating how he feels verbally, Leon shows his affection best by trying to protect the people around him.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) Leon has learned not to trust people quickly, but he'll give you time to show him you're not going to stab him in the back. Once he does start warming up to you, he'll do his best to be there if you need him.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Yes, but only when the two of you are alone. Being in or putting others in a vulnerable position isn't easy for Leon to do, but if you're in a place where he feels safe, he'll gladly curl up with you.

He doesn't want to risk making his partner an even bigger target, but if he loves you that much he's going to do his best to protect you anyway.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) Leon can be very gentle when the occasion calls for it. He may have been trained to kill without mercy, but he still remembers his original goal of protecting and helping people. Emotionally, he can be a bit thick. He's not trying to be mean, he's just bad at this...

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) He's certainly not adverse to being hugged, but he's not about to get all touchy-feely with someone he barely knows. His hugs are usually firm and warm, offering a sense of security and safety to whoever's in his arms.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) Even when he starts to feel it, he's going to wait to say it. He wants to keep you safe and he's afraid that the moment he makes it too real, something terrible will happen.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) He's not a terribly jealous person, but when he does start to feel jealous he gets awfully passive aggressive about it.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss their partner? Where do they like to be kissed?) It all depends on the person he's with, really. He prefers to take the lead, but he can be persuaded otherwise. He's a little old school, so romantic kisses on the mouth are always a win.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) He tries to be the cool uncle, but he just comes across as a massive dork. Kids seem to pick up on this and will do everything they can to push his buttons until he's itching to lock them all in a closet and call it a day.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Sleepy. He'll fight his alarm to the bitter end and usually end up late to whatever he's supposed to be doing. But hey, at least he gets a few more minutes to cuddle with his partner.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) This is where he tends to get most busy. The hustle and bustle have calmed down and he's got time to focus. Good luck prying him off the computer or away from whatever paperwork he's got in front of him.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) Leon is actually pretty open about his past, at least in part. There are certain things he feels he still can't talk about. Not because it hurts or scares him, but because he doesn't want to share information that could make someone else a target.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) It really depends on the subject. He can get frustrated pretty easily, or at least exasperated, but it takes something pretty serious to make him legitimately angry.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about their partner? Do they remember every little detail they mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) As a former cop and a long time special agent, it's hardwired into him to remember the little things. Even the smallest detail can be the difference between success and failure.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in their relationship?) Seeing his partner safe and happy. Knowing they're okay is what's really important to him.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?) Leon has weapons hidden all over the house. Under the sinks, the couches, the bookshelves. If there's any threat, he will be ready for it. He doesn't expect you to protect him, but having a partner who can watch his back is always a great relief.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) He's not going to go overboard, but try to do something he knows you'll like. He does get busy and things tend to get pushed out to the last minute, but he'll still try and do something special.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) He can get a bit obsessed with his work. Figuring out who did what, what their plan is, how to stop him. It's gotten him into plenty of trouble in the past, and probably will again in the future.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) He claims he's not but check his bathroom. Guy's got enough hair care products to give the Trickster a run for his money.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without their partner?) Leon feels every loss, but to lose someone that special would send him into a bad spiral for months.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.) He actually really likes playing pranks on people. Nothing harmful or hurtful, but more than once he's been overheard giggling, 'Confuse, don't abuse,' while putting someone's personal belongings in jello. Dwight hates it.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?) Leon has been betrayed before. Just be honest with him and don't hide things behind his back even if you think he'll be upset. He'd rather you tell him directly than find out later.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?) He fights sleep on a nightly basis, only to fight waking up in the morning. It's a cycle he will never break.

First ever post of this kind on Tumblr! Creative spurts come out of nowhere, and the one I had came in the form of a longing for a story that would inspire in me the same kind of passion and intrigue I felt from the books I read many years ago, and probably also because of my great passion for D&D and fiction in general. That tenderness mixed with the right dose of melancholy that once filled my mind with endless daydreams, stories and characters... If you get what I'm talking about, you'll be a perfect roleplay partner!

In short, I'm mainly looking for someone to be a huge nerd with 😅

Think of it as a detailed, long-term roleplay with everything a story needs to be good, and filled with all those things dorks like me go crazy for, like being emotionally invested in fictional events or even giving characters musical themes if you're into that. Let's say, creating something that might as well be in a book, a DIY novel if you will!

The standard setting would be a fantasy/historical one in whichever place our characters would fit the most, since my approach usually starts with deciding those and creating a scene that would fit them accordingly. Being it the classic scenario of enemies who constantly bicker but slowly grow fond of each other, an unlikely friendship that can either bloom into something more or end up in tragedy, or something as simple as a character being in love while the other remains hilariously oblivious, every kind of character dynamic is well accepted, no matter how tropey. As long as it will keep both of us affectioned to the characters and constantly wanting to see where the story will go, I will call that a wonderful experience!

I'm aware that until now it might sound a bit tame, but rest assured, mature themes of EVERY kind are very well accepted: Duels, fights, betrayals... some grittiness is always needed, and how else could there be that sweet, sweet drama if not? And yes, lewd stuff is included other than very appreciated~

Further information about the characters I have available, along with sheets and image references, will be discussed in private. I'll tell in advance that if I enjoy a roleplay I tend to become VERY invested, and I understand someone might not match my level of commitment, so anyone interested is kindly asked to be transparent and let me know in any moment if the story is becoming stale or not enjoyable anymore. I've had far too many writing partners suddenly ghost me in the past and I'd hate that to happen again...

Last thing to add, it might be VERY important to know that I don't like playing power-centered roles. Take that as you will 😅
