The year is 2052 - an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity prevails across the globe. The reason for this: mankind has been freed from sickness and pain. Nobel Prize winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent drawbacks called Hapuna. Hapuna soon becomes ubiquitous… and essential. However, soon after Hapuna is officially introduced, Dr. Skinner vanishes. Three years later, the world has moved on. But Dr. Skinner has returned - this time, as a harbinger of doom. Skinner announces that Hapuna has a short half-life. Everyone who has taken it will die approximately three years later. Death is coming for this sinful world - and coming soon. As a response to this threat, a special task force of 5 agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner’s plan. This group is called “Lazarus.” Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?

Birthdays!
I compiled what I found to be the most character-relevant and/or funny reasons for everyone's birthdays, however unless Inagaki Sensei confirms the reasoning behind them, these are all assumptions!
Senku - 1/4 - A pun on Ishigami, as 1-4 can be read as i-shi, meaning stone. If you've forgotten about this, then I recommend rereading chapter 56!
Luna - 1/30 - Anniversary of Orville Wright (of the Wright brothers)'s death. This may also be another pun, as 3-0 can be read as mi-zero, and the kanji for charm is 魅 (=mi) which could mean Luna has "zero charm". Another option is reading it as 1-3-0, i-mi-zero, or "zero meaning", which hopefully isn't a hint of how useful this birthday-meaning endeavor is…
Related, Luna didn't seem to be born under a full moon either so that's not the reason behind her birthday.
Yo - 1/31 - This is a big logic leap, however: 1 can be read as "ichi", or 位置 meaning position. Putting the 3+1 into context, we have Yo mentioning the "big 3" + himself as the Four Heavenly Kings, giving us Yo as the 4th in a position of power.
I couldn't find any way of making the date fit an exclamation like "Yo!" or "Uei!", but the "ue" (上) part of his name means "up" which fits the theme of positioning.
Chrome - 2/4 - The element chromium has the atomic number 24. I'm pretty confident this was the inspiration, however it's also a month after Senku's birthday!
Kaseki - 2/9 - Another logic jump: copper's atomic number is 29. The era after the Stone Age is the Chalcolithic, or Copper Age. Since Kaseki is the village's most skilled craftsman, it could be implying that Kaseki brought them out of the Stone Age into the next era.
Amaryllis - 2/14 - Valentine's Day. It's also chocolate day in Japan, which suits the sweet seductress that she is :)
Homura - 3/3 - Can be read as "san-san", which means brilliant or bright. As the name Homura means flame, this is fitting.
Ibara - 3/23 - I couldn't find anything of interest, even when checking the blossoming of thorny plants (Ibara means thorn after all). A little disappointing honestly :(
Yuzuriha - 3/31 - The end of the fiscal year in Japan and sometimes the last day of school. Had she been born 2 days later she'd be in a different grade to Senku and Taiju!
It's also the International Transgender Day of Visibility.
Gen - 4/1 - April Fool's Day, as well as the day Senku, Xeno, and probably several other Americans broke out of petrification after 3,700+ years. An inversion of Senku's birthday (1/4 and 4/1).
Great job to everyone who guessed the date before it was officially revealed!
Taiju - 4/2 - Likely the oldest one in Senku's school year because of Japan's birthday/grade division. 4-2 can also be read as "shi-ni" meaning "death", which could be related to everyone closest to Taiju dying at some point (both his parents are dead, Senku's died once, Taiju himself was likely dead and Yuzuriha wasn't looking too great in Corn City). If we want to push further though, "death" in Latin is "mori", and "mori" means forest in Japanese, tying in to Taiju's tree theme.
With Yuzuriha, Gen, and Taiju all having their birthdays right after one another, it seems like all of Senku's closest friends have their birthdays together.
Ginro - 4/7 - The element silver has the atomic number 47, similar to Chrome's birthday being the atomic number for chromium.
Ruri - 4/14 - Potentially another ishi/stone reference because of the 14, but it's also the Takayama/Sanno festival wishing for a good harvest. A more modern celebration is Orange Day, where romantic partners from Valentine's and White Day trade orange-colored gifts.
Ironically, orange blossoms are meant to represent prosperity and luck in marriage in flower language… Poor Ruri haha
Kokuyo - 4/19 - Another pun using numbers: 4-1-9 or "shi-i-ku", meaning breeding. Breeding Day is a day to celebrate the work of zookeepers and get people interested in zoos.
The other celebration on this day is the Furukawa festival, one of the three naked festivals. Men in loincloths (fundoshi) fight for the prime location near the central drum being paraded through town. The parade lasts the whole night.
Moz - 5/5 - Children's Day, also part of Golden Week. It's a day to celebrate children's happiness and their personalities. Before 1948, it was also used to recognize fathers, which is ironic given Moz attempted to kill his father when he was 7.
Carlos - 5/30 - Anniversary of Wilbur Wright (of the Wright brothers)'s death, matching Luna. Similarly, the numbers also spell something out: 5-3-0 is "go-mi-zero", or "zero garbage". Whether this means that Carlos is garbage and a zero, or that he's /not/ garbage, I can't tell.
This is also a proper day of celebration in Japan for cleaning up waste.
Ukyo - 6/5 - World Environment Day. (I have recommendations for when Ukyo's birthday should have been instead: 3/3 sounds like "mi-mi", meaning "ear", = his sonar skills. The other date is 9/8, read as "ku-ya", as the kanji for bow (弓) can be read as "ku" and arrow (矢) is "ya".)
Joel - 6/10 - Anniversary of Time. It commemorates the first time-keeping water clock in Japan, open to the public.
Minami - 6/21 - The day after Riichiro Inagaki's birthday, as well as the summer solstice. It's also Refrigerator Day in Japan, a day to check your fridges before the hot summer arrives. Or in Minami's case, to check on Tsukasa…
Max - 6/30 - Asteroid Day, for global awareness about the risks of asteroid impacts. 6-3 can also be read as "mu-mi", which means "tasteless" (無味). Not sure how the zero fits in though…
Luna, Max, and Carlos also all have birthdays that fall on the 30th of the month. What the significance of that is is unclear, apart from the fact that their dates can all create words.
Kirisame - 7/7 - The Tanabata festival, a celebration for two star-crossed lovers, generally celebrated by writing wishes on paper and hanging them from a bamboo tree. It's also World Chocolate Day!
Kinro - 7/9 - The element gold has the atomic number 79, similar to Chrome's and Ginro's birthdays being their atomic numbers.
Kohaku - 8/8 - A day full of puns, as 8-8 can be read as either "ha-ha" or "ba-ba", meaning father and grandmother respectively, but "ha" also means teeth and "hachi" (=another way of reading 8) means "bee"… The list goes on.
It's also World Cat Day! :3
Magma - 8/22 - The kanji for 8 looks like a volcano (八) which is probably the logic behind choosing August. 2 can also be read as "fu", and "fufu" is the equivalent of "hehe" laughter in English. In rare cases, 2 can also be read as "ha", which could be referencing Magma's "muhaha!" It's also the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief…
Nikki - 8/31 - 831 is shorthand for "I Love You", as it has 8 letters, 3 words, and 1 meaning. It's also good for hiding your embarrassment if you struggle to say (or type, or send via Morse code) the words themselves…
Stanley - 9/1 - The anniversary of the establishment of the US's Air Force Space Command, which is now part of the United States Space Force, the American military counterpart to NASA.
Suika - 9/9 - Chrysanthemum Day, an ancient festival in Japan, also known as the Festival of Happiness. It's also First Aid Day, the Katakai fireworks festival, and the day Kiku No.1 was launched by NASDA (now JAXA). The latter is interesting because it's quite round, like Suika!
Matsukaze - 9/15 - Respect For The Aged Day. Sometimes the date varies, but as Matsukaze is a man who follows the Bushido code, this seems fitting.
Xeno - 10/1 - NASA's first day of operations, as well as NASDA's day of establishment, then later JAXA's. An all-around good day for national space agencies. Also falls on International Coffee Day, I wonder if they're connected…
Byakuya - 10/8 - Byakuya's literal name. The kanji for "byaku" (百) is 100, and 8 can be read as "ya", creating 108, or 10/8.
Tsukasa - 10/10 - World Mental Health Day, as well as World Day against the Death Penalty. Ironic given the plot of Stone wars. It's also Public Bath Day and Fishing Day.
Ryusui - 11/11 - Desiring the best of everything, Ryusui's birthday is obviously #1…111. It's also Pocky Day, I wonder if he uses that fact to flirt with people/play the pocky game?
Hyoga - 11/30 - Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare. (RIP Gozan, Yuki, Ren, Akashi, Kyoichiro, and Morito.) It could also be a way of "drawing" his kuda yari in action: 一一三〇
Chelsea - 12/20 - Anniversary of Sacagawea's death (maybe). She was a young girl who helped the Lewis and Clark expedition explore central America. 12°N 20°E is also a location in Chad.
Mirai - 12/31 - New Year's Eve, a day for looking towards the future. As Mirai's name means future, it's no surprise that this is her birthday!
Feel free to reply with any other discoveries about their birthdays you find! This is by no means a complete list, especially since any Japanese puns are mostly lost on me haha!

Thoughts/wonderings on Dragon Age: The Missing #2, under a cut due to spoilers for The Missing (not just #2) and for the recent leaks:
Overall I think issue 2 was more interesting and more exciting than issue 1. I don't mean this in a bad way about issue 1; it's just that issue 1 had a lot of catching up to do ('here's what's happened since you were last in Thedas') and setup both for Varric&Harding (they should open a detective agency together)'s current quest and for future issues in this series. that was quite a lot of setup and the comic issues only have a few pages. now in Issue 2, the story is properly starting off and the plot thickens etc.
continuing the theme of issue 1 (which is: Varric Is Having A Very Bad And Terrible Time), this issue opens with Varric groaning and cursing. it really is like this huh.. "shit", he says, while.. stepping in shit.. it's eponymous. eponymous suffering.
change in art style and artist from issue 1. if memory serves, Fernando Heinz Furukawa is the artist who worked on some previous DA comics such as Dark Fortress and Blue Wraith. here's Varric portrayed by Fernando in Knight Errant:
and here's Varric now in The Missing #2
it's day and night! he looks Older and more tired, and also maybe redesigned (outfit, scar etc). if this comic is set around 9:52 or shortly beforehand, he's over 50 years old now since he was born in 9:1. according to this tweet of Fernando's, it wasn't Fernando who did a redesign, BioWare had sent along the reference for Varric for this comic. are we looking at Varric's DA:D Era (Dad Era..) Redesign? is this how he'll look in DA:D? if so why did he look the same as usual in issue 1 - was it a recent decision of BioWare's that happened after issue 1 had been illustrated but before 2 was drawn? or is it just differing art styles between issues - I notice that each of the 4 issues of this comic has a different artist. it will be someone else again in issue 3, so I'll guess we'll find out based on what he looks like in issue 3 :) also, a different artist for each issue is an interesting choice - is it to showcase as many different peoples' talents as possible?
We don't see much of Vyrantium in this issue but from what we do see I think it looks cool
Harding's hair is definitely red/orange here. in one leak the person wrote that there was a rogue lady dwarf party member. in another the person implied via emoji codes (hh) that one of the companions that they saw is a lady with red hair. with these in mind plus Harding's presence and appearance in this DA:D lead-in comic, I wanna speculate that Harding is a companion in DA:D. if Harding is and Varric isn't, I'd be down with that! I'd rather he isn't a companion again, and this setup would provide a lady dwarf companion, an ascended extra (see: Cole, Merrill etc), and the familiar returning face/Inquisition representative on the team without filling up a slot with someone who has already had a turn at being a companion. maybe, like Charter says in issue 1, Varric builds the team, but instead of joining it in person himself, it's Harding who joins the DA:D roster and he's around doing some stuff in the background like giving quests or advising or something. Varnick Fury...
last time we checked in on the Qunari invasion of Tevinter, they had invaded Neromenian (Dark Fortress). before that they invaded Carastes (Blue Wraith) and Ventus/Qarinus (Deception). now the Antaam have progressed towards Vyrantium and are laying siege to it. this shows the passage of time between our looks at Thedas and that that the world isn't static, and it keeps building the backdrop in Tevinter of the Antaam invasion as a potential background plotpoint for DA:D (reminds me of the mage-templar war in the background of DA:I). the Tevinters don't seem to be having much luck in this war, losing city after city to the Antaam.
looking at this progress map below, I'm reminded of this line from Dread Wolf Take You in Tevinter Nights: "I fear everything east of Vyrantium will be under their control inside a year, and northern Antiva as well", said by the Mortalitasi at the meeting Charter attended. we're seeing this come to pass now, and if it roughly followed that projected timescale it gives us a bit of insight into when Charter's meeting with Solas in TN took place relative to the effective prologue to DA:D (this comic). if the Antaam keep this up, I guess the next settlement is Marnas Pell and then onto Asariel. Minrathous has famously never fallen to siege or invasion. I guess you could still effectively choke a country by capturing all of its other cities besides the main one though. maybe the plan is to take the rest and Minrathous would be the last hold out? its food supplies in the Catacombs will only last a year
"You think Solas would have crawled through a city's worth of shit to get here?" felt like a bookend to Varric's comment in the previous issue, "It fits, though. A refuge in the ass end of nowhere is exactly Solas’s style". at this point varric sounds like he's talking about an ex who jilted him lmao. and probably not, Varric, he's probably fast-travelling around as it suits him via the eluvian network. I thought the highlighting of sense of timing, how long it took them to get there, how rough the road there was and the obstacles they went through to reach their destination was interesting. maybe it's a precursor (for the sake of creating contrast) to the possible upcoming 'travelling around via eluvians' stuff from the recent leak? to the possible plotpoint of 'here's how the Inquisition remnants have eluvian access now'? it's taken them weeks to walk from Marnas Pell to Vyrantium, which gives a sense of the scale of Thedas and emphasizes travel time outside of in-game 'fast travel' mechanics. Solas is basically leading them on a wild goose chase in this comic series all over Tevinter. given his effective teleportation relative to their having to walk for weeks to get between cities, he has them at a massive disadvantage.
new locations in the lore: Armael Hills, Wava River/Wava River crossing. given that they have travelled from Marnas Pell to Vyrantium, these must be places in Tevinter.
"food poisoning" ye sure okay bud. at the end of issue 1, Varric was after a stiff drink. this panel is a smart bit of continuity from that, and also, BioWare must have fully known what they were doing with this panel lmao.. on a serious note though I hope Varric is doing okay like, and this was just a hangover after a celebration like he says, rather than part of his recent tired/sad/kinda strugglin vibe. otherwise coupled with his older tireder more haggard look it reminds me a bit of Ser Aaron which is sad to think about :( (RIP)
lmao the valet was really like "You? The noble famous Viscount of Kirkwall? but you're so scrungly, stinky and oldlooking.. No. It can't be so. Bye"
if Lady Crysanthus has been 'indisposed' for months it means Solas was here months ago. that's confirmed when they mention about how the bedroom hasn't been used in months. they're so many steps behind him and would continue to be - the walking distance between Vyrantium and Arlathan Forest is even further than that between Marnas Pell and Vyrantium.
I enjoyed how their cover story was "Hi I'm Varric", they walked straight up to the front door, showed themselves and told him who they were, and then broke in talking about how they're supposed to be being subtle lmao. (also that setup for the house going up in flames at the end and condemning the lady's husband to death so dramatically, LOL subtle indeed. I guess it was them being ironic). so knocking on the door was Harding's suggested approach, Varric had initially suggested breaking in and they decided to try Harding's way first. that's nice, it contrasts them as characters and carries on that idea from their discussion in issue 1 about their two different suggested ways for approaching/dealing with stuff/Solas if they found him
so about Varric's redesign, he has speed stripes now/salt and pepper hair, and where/when did he get that big serious scar? also would you take Varric's hand and trust him, even though he's like, a pathological liar? after that panel i would ok
their dynamic is cute
Tevinter architecture is cool (red glass windows) and I like those lil Tevinter wind chime looking things. inside the bedroom there are serpents coiling around the bed posts.
Harding was right after all, and had the smarts to check under the sheet. she looks shook when they discover Crysanthus. and no wonder, of course the only person they know who can turn people to stone is Solas. from the lady's outstretched 'Stop!' arm and scared facial expression, it doesn't look like she and Solas were having a pleasant conversation when he did this.
that wall mural... lmao. the dog looks kind of like a mabari, which I guess I could see since they originated in Tevinter. my random obscure headcanon is that this ~Decadence~ mural is supposed to, by in-universe artists, depict the golden age of the Imperium when it ruled most of Thedas and before the mabari defected to the 'barbarians' of the south hh
shoutout again to Harding's cool looking cape
Teia and Viago!!!! as the front cover prophecy foretold!! man we knew it was coming but i still went OOOOOO at them appearing. their entrance and they in general was/are so cool. they look amazing!!
wing-like motif on their outfits, fitting for Crows :) hh, Harding knows immediately that they are Crows. also "subtle".. :)
lmao he's so done
I enjoyed the banter back and forth at this point, it was fun :)
Harding's freckles 🥺
The question is, who put out this contract on Crysanthus to the Crows and why? it must have been a pretty big deal (the person who took out the contract and/or the reason for taking it out), otherwise what are two Talons from two different Houses doing on a job in Tevinter when the Antaam is currently invading Antiva and we know from TN that the Crows including Teia and Viago (Eight Little Talons) were going to be taking the defense of Antiva seriously?
So the Inquisition remnants are still basically "The Inquisition" when it comes to name-dropping, and Varric 'my cover is hi I'm Varric also I'm gonna break in now' Tethras has no qualms about telling a pair of Crows they've just met that they're working with the Inquisition. whereas he omits mentioning Solas specifically by name. I guess "Inquisition" is an easier sell than "The Dread Wolf"
also interesting, why are the Crows concerned about a Tevinter mage possibly working with the Venatori, or about the Venatori planning a possible concerted move against the Imperium, or about stopping that? I'm reminded of TN where we learned that a mysterious patron had contracted the Crows to kill a bunch of prominent Venatori (Lucanis' story). some of the Venatori were scared about that, particularly of the aforementioned notorious Crow, "The Demon", who had been doing a lot of these contracts. the Venatori said that they wouldn't cower to foreign mercs like the Crows. and it was implied that the anonymous hirer was elfy, as they gave Lucanis assistance/info about a magic secret passage inside a statue of a vhenadahl, the passage of which was lit with veilfire and guarded by an elf, Athima, who was sent by their patron. then Lucanis died or "died" and we saw his wake, which Teia and Viago were at. and now here are Teia and Viago in Tevinter on a contract job to take out yet another Venatori/Venatori collaborator. are they continuing where Lucanis left off? Crows, the Venatori, and Solas... curiouser and curiouser
the fight scenes in this comic were cool. Varric at one point doesn't even draw Bianca, he just socks someone in the face like POW
Viago with his poisoned rapier/poisons again, ice cold but also like, what a nerd
when the secret door opens Harding is like > :) hhh
when the valet says "You've killed us all just by being here", is it Lady Crysanthus' husband that he's thinking about or someone else? the Venatori? the person who turned the lady to stone?
so Lady Crysanthus was a spymaster who had records and notes on many known Venatori agents, as well as maps and papers relating to their plans to get a magical artifact/magical weapon called the Crucious Stone out of Arlathan Forest. she was also helping Venatori operate in Tevinter. given this, why would she invite Solas to come and talk to her? their mutual interest in the Stone? was the invitation even for Solas, or did he or whoever was using the room in the Deep Roads get it from the person it was actually supposed to be for after he/they got wind of this scheme?
the Stone can bring the Imperium to its knees. that would explain why the Venatori, who are apparently plotting a move against the Imperium (to.. make it great again? I guess they have to take it down or take it over before they can make it great again?), would want it. Solas isn't a fan of the Imperium - is he interested in this Stone because he'd also like to impact Tevinter, or because he needs to use the Stone's powers for his plans relating to the Veil or similar? (I'd think more the latter than the former) Any relation to, or how does it tie in to, the Orb or the idol?
Also I wonder about the specifics of the stone's powers. to bring the whole Imperium to its knees.. we must be talking blood magic? I'd guess? plus some Veil wibbly-wobbly Fadey stuff too, if the last page of the comic is anything to go by. also, the shape of the stone reminds me of the sarcophagus from Dark Fortress. that artifact was of unknown origin but built to fit an elf and there were some possibly elfy aspects to its design..
"Monologue about it, who knows?" // "Is this a contract or an old flame?" // "Well..." killed me hhhh
Viago asking the Important Questions
Stone Fist
Teia is badass
nice group takedown, again a party with majority dwarves and elves :)
Varric's one liner while the guy stabbed through the wrist crushed by a broken statue of his beloved departed wife while he burns to death is. stone cold.
this time around there's a reason why they didn't gather up a bunch of papers/books from the Secret Den, it was going up in flames and they had to escape. makes sense. I still wonder why they didn't take those books with them from the Deep Roads room in issue 1 hh.
in the panel where they are back outside on the streets of Vyrantium, the column of smoke from the burning house can be seen in the background going up into the sky, and off to the right in green is the figure that Teia clocks in the next panels.
Cat
presumably the possible Venatori assassin is the Venatori we saw tailing Varric&Harding at the end of issue 1.
Varric and Harding leave Teia and Viago on a positive note which is nice. I hope we meet them for a bit in DA:D :)
also since it was confirmed that the characters in this comic are Teia and Viago, I think again about the 'this comic is introducing us/re-introducing us to various factions/groups who are players on the chess-board or otherwise of note in DA:D' idea. Issue 1 had Wardens, 2 the Crows, 3 looks to be the Veil Jumpers. also since it was Teia and Viago, I'm also once again wondering if the two Veil Jumpers will be Strife and Irelin, who we know are in a Dalish clan that lives in/near Arlathan Forest. (also I enjoyed the confirmation in this comic that a few/multiple Dalish clans live in Arlathan Forest. those clans, like Morlyn, sound super interesting due to the magical/ancient nature of the Forest)
About the last page of the comic, the tree branches give an elfy vibe, and that structure in the distance being upside down gives a Fadey and/or Arlathan Forest's current time/space topsyturvyness vibe. could the archway in the structure be an eluvian? is this how they get eluvian travel? is this what's in the heart of Arlathan Forest, or is it somewhere in there where the Veil is thin and the time/space reality warping has influenced things? did Dalish elves build those walkways?
the synopsis for Issue 3 is as follows:
Following their adventure in Vyrantium, Varric, and Harding travel to Arlathan Forest in search of the crucious stone. When the duo finds themselves face-to-face with a pair of Veil Jumpers, they decide to team up. Finding what they seek will have them up against puzzling obstacles, and their success could depend on the allies they can gather.
this is the issue in this comic that I'm most excited about. I'm so hyped to meet the Veil Jumpers AAAAAA!! [cat.yodeling.png]

I’m currently crafting an OC that is Sukuna’s wife!
Her name is Furukawa Fumiko, but is referred to as and is called ‘Ayuna’ meaning ‘blood red’ she refers to her love for the color red when she was human and when she became the Queen of Curses; the color for markings, her eyes, hands and feet, and horns.
First thing about her? She is so goddamn autistic. Granted, she was born in the Hein era so her ‘quirks’ were either noted as peculiar or endearing in some shape or form.
- She and Sukuna met when they were still human, and she wasn’t scared of him and while she acknowledged that he was a strong sorcerer, she didn’t overly praise him or cower in fear like most people.
- She has mastered the art of ‘masking’ aka putting on a front that is deep socially acceptable to neurotypical people, she keeps her expression neutral and mostly expresses herself through her eyes and tone.
- Has a logical way of thinking, being strategic with every choice she makes but isn’t completely void of emotions, she just doesn’t let them rule her.
- LOVES her Jūnihitoe, they’re basically her equivalent of our modern day weighted blanket that bring her comfort and security and wears either 12 or 20 layers.
- when she was human she had black hair so long it reaches her calves (kind of hates it and wants to cut it) but it turned white when she changed, along with her eyes that were once green and turned red.
- Hates the tradition of dyeing teeth black (stopped doing it when she left the imperial court and officially joined up with Sukuna).
- She is a Jujutsu sorcerer but I’m still working on what her cursed technique is along with her backstory; but the main premise is that she was born into a noble family and was apart of the imperial court for a long time before finally freeing herself from her personal hell.
- I’m teasing with the idea that Kenjaku is to Fumiko what Yorozu is to Sukuna; a massive pain in the ass. However, with Kenjaku it’s more of a twisted ‘Notice me, Senpai!’ as Kenjaku and Fumiko both were apart of the imperial court as Jujutsu sorcerers but she rarely interacted with her fellow sorcerers as she wasn’t a socially person (and most of them were sexist assholes anyway) but was a genius when it came to understanding and dissecting Jujutsu and could apply it to anything and everything and Kenjaku’s narcissistic ass took that as a (one-sided) slight and challenge.
- Fumiko calls Sukuna, ‘Ryō’ and only calls him ‘Ryōmen’ when he’s either treading on thin ice or pissed her off.
- The women’s yukata that Sukuna is sometimes seen in is one of Fumiko’s.
- Fumiko is a sadist of the psychological and mental variety. She enjoys giving her enemies hope only to viscously snatch it away and see the light leave their eyes.
- In the Heian era, there was a courting process in which the suitor would have a secret sleepover with the person that they were interested in for three nights in a row before leaving at dawn and marriage would be arranged. This is what Sukuna and Fumiko did.
- Sukuna and Fumiko enjoyed taking the piss out of each other, one being amused at the expense (but not total displeasure) of the other like most married couples.
- Uraume is THE fly on the wall when it comes to these two, they have scolding hot tea for days.
- They did have a child, a daughter. In a sort of trade of roles, Sukuna taught their daughter calligraphy and poetry and Fumiko taught her the fundamentals of Jujustu and strategies.
- Regarding their child, don’t piss off her daddy, but definitely don’t mess with her mommy, as the two are brutal and merciless when it comes to any sort of antagonism towards their child.
I love certain elements of this like imagining Uraume having ao much gossip and so little people to share it with is so funny 😭 And Sukuna and her switching roles when it comes to children, love that. Totally one of my hcs for dad Sukuna.
Me personally I'm not a big fan of adding my own ocs to the story, but this is so intricate! I can tell a lot of thought and love went into building this character 😌✨

Summoning Nostalgia: Exploring Netflix’s Global Premiere of Akuma-Kun and Its Supernatural Journey
Anime fans, brace yourselves because the Akuma-kun series made its Netflix debut on November 9, 2023, paying homage to the timeless legacy of Shigeru Mizuki. This adaptation promises a new era for fans of the mystical universe first spun in the 1960s manga. Let’s unravel the excitement surrounding this long-awaited debut and dive into the supernatural world it unveils.
A Global Premiere: Netflix’s Exclusive Showcase
Netflix took the global stage by hosting the worldwide premiere of the Akuma-kun series, seizing the spotlight with its exclusive showcase. On November 9, 2023, fans worldwide tuned in as Netflix introduced the extraordinary Akuma-Kun, a character reborn once every 10,000 years, captivating screens across the globe. Netflix’s exclusive distribution wasn’t just a strategic move; it was a thoughtful approach to captivate diverse audiences, demonstrating a mindful content delivery strategy.
A Nostalgic Homecoming: Original Cast and Fresh Voices
In a nostalgic nod spanning over three decades since its 1989 predecessor, the new series introduces a fresh face — Ichirō Umoregi, voiced by the talented Yuuki Kaji. Kudos to the OG cast members Yūko Mita and Toshio Furukawa making a return in their key roles. The mix of familiar voices and fresh talent injects a profound richness into the narrative, creating an engaging auditory experience.
Unveiling the Supernatural Realms: Plot Exploration
As the story unfolds, viewers are taken on a gripping adventure where demons, drawn from global myths, hold the key to unlocking humanity’s latent potential. The narrative follows Akuma-Kun’s quest for a world free from strife and conflict, with his alliance with Mephisto III laying the foundation for unraveling mysteries and uncovering the protagonist’s mysterious origins.
Behind the Scenes: A Stellar Creative Ensemble
The creative minds behind Akuma-kun’s stellar production, including Junichi Sato, renowned for his work on the Aria franchise and Sailor Moon, deserve equal recognition. With Sato as chief director, alongside series director Fumitoshi Oizaki and script overseer Hiroshi Ohnogi, the team meticulously crafted a visually stunning and narratively compelling series.
Cultivating a New Wave of Fans
As we get lost in Akuma-kun’s rich story, there’s this subtle excitement among fans, a feeling that maybe, just maybe, this classic anime could be the spark for a whole new fanbase. In the vast universe of timeless anime and manga, the idea of Akuma-kun reaching a new audience feels like handing over a cherished legacy. Picture the future, where upcoming generations stumble upon the enchanting world that started in the 1960s manga, unraveling the spellbinding tales penned by the legendary Shigeru Mizuki. “GeGeGe no Kitaro,” another manga created by Mizuki, helped popularize Japanese folklore and Yokai so there is a possibility that this new adaptation of Akuma-kun ends up being rather memorable.
As the global audience immerses itself in the enchanting appeal of Akuma-Kun, the anime’s release on November 9 marks the beginning of a new chapter in Shigeru Mizuki’s illustrious legacy. With its widespread appeal, a seamless blend of seasoned and emerging voices, and an enthralling storyline, the Akuma-Kun series is poised to carve itself a place in the annals of supernatural classics, leaving an enduring imprint on anime enthusiasts worldwide.

On the basis of insulation type, the gas segment dominated the global market in 2020, in terms of share, owing to rise in demand for gas circuit breakers from industrial, utilities, and commercial sectors across the globe. In addition, rise in focus towards distributed power infrastructure and rapid growth of the renewable energy sector are anticipated to drive the growth of the market during the circuit breakers market forecast period.
On the basis of installation, the outdoor segment dominated the global market in 2020, in terms of share, owing to rise in demand for outdoor installations of circuit breakers from the industrial and utility applications for the protection of electrical equipment and circuits. In addition, increase in infrastructural developments, building & construction of power infrastructures, such as generation, transmission and distribution and rapid growth of the renewable energy industry are projected to rise the demand for outdoor installations of circuit breakers in these sectors, which is expected to drive the growth of the market during the forecast period.
By end user, the utilities segment acquired the largest circuit breakers market share in 2020, owing to rise in demand for electricity from developing and developed economies, which resulted in increase in demand for circuit breakers from utility applications. In addition, rise in energy demand along with cleaner generation of electricity is expected to fuel the growth of the renewable power generation segment, thereby driving the growth of the circuit breakers market in the coming years.

This being the largest dealer meeting in the world within Yamaha‘s network, it made the perfect occasion for the premiere of the brand-new 2023 Factory Yamaha colour scheme – an event motorsports fans had been highly anticipating.
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. President Yoshihiro Hidaka, General Manager Motorsports Development Division of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. & President of Yamaha Motor Racing Takahiro Sumi, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team Principal & Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis, Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing President Dyonisius Beti, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team Director Massimo Meregalli, and Factory Yamaha riders Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli took to the stage at the 2023 ’3S Dealer Meeting‘ to share their thoughts on ’a new era‘ for the Yamaha and Monster Energy Company partnership. Yamaha has a long-term global alliance with the team‘s title sponsor, Monster Energy Company, based on their mutual passion for racing. A first multiple-year title sponsorship agreement with the Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP team was signed in the summer of 2018 and came naturally, as Monster Energy Company sponsors multiple Yamaha teams (among them the Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP team since 2013) and riders (including Quartararo and Morbidelli) in various racing classes. The multiple-year title sponsorship agreement with the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team was extended at the Catalan GP last year, and fittingly celebrated when Fabio Quartararo went on to win the race that same weekend.
With the colour scheme of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP YZR-M1 updated for 2023, the pit box, the riders‘ leathers, and the team clothing couldn‘t stay behind. The new camouflage look blends Yamaha‘s colours (with a new addition of grey) with the adventurous lifestyle colour scheme of Monster Energy. Their iconic Monster claw branding remains instantly recognisable on the bikes, in the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team logo, and on the team uniforms. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP are also pleased to announce that throughout the 2023 racing season the bike will continue to feature the slogans of Yamaha Motor Philippines and PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, starting from the IRTA MotoGP Official Pre-Season Tests held from 5-7 February and 10-12 February in Sepang, Malaysia, and on 11-12 March in Portimão, Portugal. Moreover, the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team is delighted to confirm the continuation of their relationship with numerous Official Sponsors and Official Partners, including the new prominent placement of Beta Tools as they have expanded their longstanding involvement with the MotoGP team.

Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP Test Team rider Cal Crutchlow will be joining Quartararo and Morbidelli at the Official MotoGP Sepang Test, as Yamaha intends to deploy all forces to make their 2023 campaign a success.
TAKAHIRO SUMI GM, MOTORSPORTS DEVELOPMENT DIV., YAMAHA MOTOR CO., LTD Since the Valencia Test, YMC‘s Motorsports Development Division worked tirelessly to make further steps. Using the feedback of riders and the team, we have made improvements with the aim to contend for the MotoGP World Title again this year. We thank our loyal supporters as well as all Yamaha employees for their Kando* spirit. We are starting this season with a blank slate and a positive mindset. We know that the level of MotoGP is higher than ever, and with 42 races the demands on the riders and the bikes reach new levels, but we are ready for the challenge. Fabio Quartararo, Franco Morbidelli, and their Factory Team crews are fully motivated, so we are expecting lots of exciting racing to delight MotoGP fans around the world. *Kando: A Japanese word for the simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement that we experience when we encounter something of exceptional value.
LIN JARVIS MANAGING DIRECTOR, YAMAHA MOTOR RACING "Last year our team achieved numerous successes whilst facing high-level competition and challenges. One of the highs that stood out, however, was the extension of our partnership with Monster Energy Company at the Catalan GP, which Fabio went on to win. In that moment, we were not only delighted to express our thanks for Monster Energy‘s continuous support and their faith in our team, but we also felt excited to look to a future exploring new opportunities to make the bond between Yamaha and Monster Energy even stronger. This year, we are entering our eleventh year with Monster Energy as our sponsor and our fifth season with them as our title sponsor. This occasion deserved a new livery and a fresh start that matches our military-like focus as we fight for the 2023 MotoGP title. As a part of the strong global alliance between Yamaha and Monster Energy, the new look-and-feel will also be adopted by Yamaha‘s factory teams in MX and Supercross, showing our unity. We are also thankful to our official team sponsors, partners, and suppliers, many of whom we have had long-term partnerships with. Competing at the top-tier of motorcycle racing has never been more challenging than the coming year, and it‘s thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of our sponsors that we can concentrate on bringing the trophy home again. A full-on race calendar and additional sprint races mean we need to be focused, adaptable, and efficient right from the start of 2023 MotoGP testing."
FABIO QUARTARARO "My winter break didn‘t fully go as planned because I injured my hand during motocross training. But I‘ve kept working non-stop. I‘ve done a lot of cardio to make sure I‘m 100% fit for the 2023 season. My hand injury is fully recovered now too, so I feel ready to fight for the title again. We have the new camouflage livery, which is a nice change. I like the new look, and it‘s good to switch it up a bit. But more importantly, I am looking forward to start riding again. I am very curious to test the 2023 YZR-M1 in Sepang. We will work hard this season, as we always do. We have learned a lot in 2022, and now I just want to fight for the title again. My fans have been very supportive, sending me lots of messages over the winter. I‘m excited to see them at the tracks again this season. We will have some fun!"
FRANCO MORBIDELLI "We are making a fresh start today, with a new look. Everything has gone back to zero and anything is possible this season, so that is an exciting prospect. We‘ve ended 2022 with an improved feeling. Now it‘s important that we do a good job at the upcoming winter tests, so we will be ready to start the season in March with the first race in Portugal. There‘s a new race format, which will take some getting used to for the riders and the teams, but I see it as a positive change because it‘s something that the fans will enjoy. I want to thank the Indonesian fans who we saw at today‘s dealer meeting for their support. Their enthusiasm has given us a boost, and I can‘t wait to start the 2023 season in the best way possible." It was the last arc I had the manga from. Besides that it felt a bit like a Hogwarts fanfic with Undertaker doing his stuff, I wasn't very much into it.
Now I really don't know if I will purchase the DVD or even watch the musical once it's found online since it's A not my favourite arc at all and B yeh, Furukawa is missing.
Actually I hate people who don't watch certain good musicals (aka. Marina-Moon era 2003-2005) because some good actors left (aka. Nao and Yuhka) but when it comes to KuroMyu, at least to me, the musicals are supported by actors like Furokawa, Izumi, Uehara and Sasaki. Lycoris, NAC and Campania still would have been good musicals without them, but they bring a certain charm to it if that makes sense - sooo idk if I fell like buying the DVD/ watching the new musical. 😓
So I watched the weston kuromyu. It was good! That's all. Not great, not bad. If you really liked the weston boys, you'd like it. If you're more into other characters, it might not be for you but I think it's worth looking at anyway
Disclaimer before anybody asks: I have the dvd, I don't have a way to rip it, I don't know where you can find a rip, you'll have to get the dvd yourself or ask elsewhere
Also sorry in advance for not cropping any of the photos I took of my tv screen
It had a decent contract song, which turned into a very interesting recap of the last three myus, staged like this:
Overall the staging was really good, and it was my favourite part of the musical.
Then it got into the actual arc, which was mostly faithful but cut/minimised a few parts like the post match boat celebration, lau, agni, and the fact that soma didn't eat any of the laxative laced pie
It was way less fanservicey than the manga—the laxative scene was solely played for humour, for example.
Weirdly, there was no big final closing song between ciel and sebastian, which felt incomplete. The last song that I remember was the duet between sebastian and undertaker
There was a weird extra scene where ciel had a nightmare about undertaker on the campania, also
Most of the actors were decent. I didn't like Ciel's actor. Macmillan was also not great. Most of the rest were good, including Sebastian, who I think could grow into the role with time, if he's given the chance. Maurice was very good, as were Violet and Cheslock. Derrick was incredible, and Agares took his stage falls fantastically. There were no really weak singers, but none stood out to me a lot either except the P4 quartet at the end when they were going over their crime. That was a very solid performance from all four of them. Like, overall the P4 were very solid. I did not enjoy Soma's song, it was probably my least liked this myu, but Soma's actor was decent at the role overall
My favourite was honestly whenever purple house started singing in general because they had a very... rave club? sort of sound? to their songs. Also they had a rap-off with green house during the cricket tournament which made me lose it
Some extra stage + dancing with cricket bats shots:
I sort of disassociated during the cricket match because it was so surreal to see this in musical format, but I didn't dislike it?? Like. It was good?
The costuming was pretty spot on, though I wasn't fond of the wigs, and Ciel's makeup made him look constantly manic and unstable. He had really red eyeshadow and like no eyeliner??
To sum: Look at this photo of sebastian standing in the trash
#kuromyu#kuromyu 6#i should watch the most beautiful death in the world more too#no fan of yuya at all but i like the story and the music#but I don't own the dvd and the online quality sucks and I can't even get the sub on#what's wrong with you vlc?!#hate how i became some kind of actor-enthusiast who only watches their musicals#but tbh yutas Myus...they are the best!#kuroshitsuji
