Stan's Adventures Through The Multiverse

After tumbling through the exploding portal Stan ends up in this sort of between space, lost between dimensions where there are rifts steadily opening and closing around him. He has no idea really what they are or where they go, so he's lost and freaking out.

He's desperately calling out for Ford to come save him. For a while, he's determined to stay put in case the portal opens back up again, but his cynical side tells him Ford has already abandon him and he's stuck here forever. Stan fight back and forth with himself, both unwilling to believe that Ford would just let him stay here forever and uncertain that Ford doesn't think this is exactly what Stan deserves.

Bill senses the Dimension 46'\ Portal open and goes to the location only to find Stanley and no portal to be found. Seeing Stanley with the journal, Bill tries to manipulate Stan into giving him the journal, saying that he and Ford wrote it together long ago.

Bill says if Stan give him the journal, he'll send Stan home easy peasy. Of course, Stan knows a con when he sees one and tell him to go fuck himself. Bill is less than please, but keeps trying to manipulate Stan. It doesn't work.

Stan: You know, my brother might be the one with the brains, but I've got that other thing.

Bill: Oh? And what might that be?

Stan: PUNCHING!

[Stanley punches Bill in the eye and launches himself into a random rift.]

Luckily, Stan lands himself in a sort of interdimensional central hub where travelers can stop and rest for a time. Unluckily, this particular hub is dominated by a shitty totalitarian government and he gets stopped almost immediately by law enforcement. He doesn't have real ID on him, just one of his shitty fakes, which might have worked on random crappy traffic cops, but not dimension hopping violent super cops.

Stanley gets thrown in jail with some other petty criminals, which is truly his home element these days. He makes some quick friends and they break out, stealing some poor sap's a luxury ship mini cruiser along the way.

Now that he's made some criminal friends, he gets some totally absolutely completely legal ID and credentials and learns to pilot ships.

For a while, Stan travels around, taking sketchy jobs, running with various crime group and actually... having a somewhat good time? Turn out space crime is kind of more fun that normal crime, even if he feels like shit for doing some of it. It's just as dark and dangerous as the life he was living before.

Over the years he has a couple run ins with Bill and usually scrapes out of it more or less in one piece. None of it is pretty though. It is Bill, after all.

He runs with various crews, making money, losing money, racking up debt, going to prison, escaping prison, becoming a fugitive, becoming a hitman, a thief and all kinds of bad shit. But after twenty or so years, he gets tired of it.

He decides to settle on a quiet planet and lay low for a little bit with the small amount of money and connections he's made over the years. The planet he's on is like a small town. He's nervous around such 'normal' people, but does well with kids and ends up being the mysterious and gruff, but kind old man who feeds the kids who don't get enough to eat at home or don't have a safe place to stay. It's nice. But doesn't last very long.

He catches wind of a trans-dimensional locator that wouldn't necessarily get him home, but it would be a start. He'd have to find a way to hook it up to his Rift Hopper(the device he uses for dimensional travel) AND keep it untraceable to Bill. It won't be easy but it's closer to a way home than he's had since he got here.

He joins up with a rag-tag treasure hunting crew that might be a little morally gray, but they're better than a lot of the crime lords Stan has worked with. He travels with them for a while, being their main muscle and negotiator for jobs.

When there's trouble, he takes it upon himself to get them out of it and tends to be very self sacrificing. He is still Stanley Pines after all.

This crew LOVES their goofy violent self-loathing grandpa and are 100% on board with helping him find the translocator. Even if it means he'll leave them ):

But as Mabel and Dipper make progress on the portal back in their dimension, blips of Dimension 46'\ are sent into the multiverse. Which means Stanley can track a rift! ...But so can Bill.

Bill comes after Stan and his new crew, taking them hostage. Stan agrees to go with Bill if he lets the crew go. Bill tries to make a deal, but Stan tricks him, gives the crew the translocator and the crew narrowly escapes. Stan does not.

Bill holds Stan captive and tortures him, both to get the translocator and because he just fucking hates Stan after all this. Also, torture is FUN! (for Bill)

Stan can't escape and starts to think maybe this is just how he's going to spend the rest of eternity. He starts losing hope, thinking it's what he deserves for the life he's lead.

But then! His crew comes to the rescue! No way they were going to leave their weird violent human grandpa to Bill's wrath! They risk their lives to save Stan and escape Bill

... but bad news. The translocator device broke when they were making their initial escape. Stan is pretty okay with it, but then... the portal opens. It's definitely to his dimension, but it's locked onto his energy signal some how???

He's confused, because why would Stanford be looking for him after three decades of nothing? Could someone else be searching for him? What the hell is going on?

But the portal is right there and finally Stan gets to go home! But he knows Bill is still after him so he has to close this dumb reckless portal asap

....tbh now I just wanna write a bunch of shorts about Stanley's adventures through the multiverse

A little bit of Dipcifica for this Au!

Basically Ford, already taking control of the town and naming himself "monarch", used Bill's power to "rewrite the world" erasing the memories of everyone in Gravity so that they would not try to stop him and so that the chosen ones of the zodiac would not attempt any type of attack that could intervene in his plans, making them forget Dipper in the process, in revenge because Dipper did not want to give him the remaining piece of Bill's soul that he possessed. Now basically Dipper is a fugitive who cannot escape from Gravity Falls because of Bill's soul that he possees which prevents him from leaving the town.

MY HERO ACADEMIA

MHA is my most written-for fandom. If you're exclusively in one of the other fandoms on this list, I apologize for the scroll in advance. This section is in alphabetical order, by the way.

Incomplete Fics

the gremlin zone - Your garden-variety group chat themed crack fic. It's centered around the Todoroki siblings, and also I'm halfway convinced that it's sentient. The plot goes without my consent. Don't ask what's going to happen in its future because I know just as much as you do

how to live with yourself - Fuyumi killed a guy when she was 13. That's it, that's the premise, except for the fact that it's slowly revealed that there may be more to this AU than just that. Some people have their secrets, and it's only a matter of time before they all come out one way or another.

in love i've always been a mercenary - Shimura Nana harbors a fugitive who's trying to go legit, except for the fact that the fugitive is All for One's ex-husband and there are some details that just don't add up quite right.

One Loop at a Time - Your garden-variety time loop themed crack fic. This one has slow updates; I have this awful habit of writing one chapter of a thing and taking forever to continue it, and this fic is a victim of that AND its chapters are long as hell. If you're willing to deal with that, it's a time loop where each member of 1-A (and possibly more!) is slowly brought into the loop, and they slowly go from "normal 1-A" to "crack 1-A" as the loop keeps. On. Going.

Sins of the Father - Midoriya Izuku is the son of All for One. This means that he's All for One's most prized possession, in addition to his own personal attack dog. There's no hope of escape, and even if there were, would he even deserve to take that opportunity?

some heroes wear masks (some of those masks are stolen) - Midoriya Izuku is quirkless, jobless, and completely down on his luck. Mom's bills are only getting higher, while Dad's contributions and her paychecks are only getting smaller. There's an offer for anyone available, a huge payout for whoever takes it, except that it comes with the territory of being a villain. Izuku needs that payout, but he can clear his conscience while he's at it.

We all fall apart - Touya and Fuyumi were both trained by Endeavor to be heroes. Both of them are dead. Natsuo desperately wants to protect Shouto, Shouto just wants him to live a life for himself, and neither of them are okay. The Todoroki family is a wreck, and to top it all off, there's no way in hell that Dabi is anything human.

Incomplete Series

Everyone's a Hero (1-A Fics) - Okay, this one's full of fics that are disconnected from each other. They're all different AUs. The one thing they have in common is that each and every one of them focuses on a member of Class 1-A, even the ones that don't get much characterization or screentime. They all get a fic. As of right now, it only contains one fic, but more will be added soon!

The Phantom of Shinomori Prefecture - Fuyumi is the Baby Driver of this AU. She's also in contact with Dabi. Endeavor has a ton of fancy cars that he doesn't drive, Rei's a Russian immigrant, and Touya and Fuyumi both drive like maniacs.

the todofam-plus-izuku's adventures in vigilantism - Izuku decides to be a vigilante. Natsuo is an established vigilante. There will be more of them.

Complete Fics

All the eggshells are on the ground - Oneshot. Villain Gran Torino and Hero Shimura Nana. They're... kind of a thing? She can fix him

And so the gods were pulled down from the Heavens / And so the gods were pulled up from the Earth - Oneshot. Something about old gods?? I don't remember tbh I wrote this a long time ago. Funky narration tho

Blackjack - Oneshot. Touya knows how to count cards. He still remembers it years later, when he goes by Dabi instead.

The Inconstant Nature of Hatred (it's a spark, it's a flame, it's a dying ember but it's not gone yet) - Oneshot. Dabi character study, also from a long time ago. He thinks on his situation, just before he gets the call to join the League.

Sharpened Teeth (Won't Be Broken) - Oneshot. Toga Himiko meets a responsible healthcare provider who follows child protection protocols!! Amazing!!

THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES

TMA is my second-most written for fandom, and before you ask, no I have not listened to Protocol yet. You will know when I do, trust me. Again, this section is in alphabetical order.

Incomplete Fics

fireworks (and their ashes) - Tim is a Desolation Avatar, and post-Unknowing, he Becomes and then he abandons the Archives/Institute. Jon wakes up from his coma and everything kind of goes to shit? It gets better. Mostly.

Jonathan Sims Is Dead In The End - So you know how "The Archivist goes back to their S1 body and does time travel fix-it from there" is a whole genre of TMA fics at this point? Yeah. This is that. Except the Archivist isn't Jon, and the original timeline is nothing like our original timeline. Also, the ending isn't all that happy, in case the title didn't clue you in already.

the unofficial adventures of the unofficial archive group chat - Your garden-variety group chat themed crack fic. Archival assistants start a group chat, uncover a conspiracy, and act terminally stupid, not necessarily in this order. This is another fic that I'm half-convinced is somewhat sentient. I don't have any input on this plot

Watchers - Tim Stoker is an unwilling agent of Beholding. This is set before the Unknowing, so a big learning curve is happening for both himself and Jon. Also, I'm still taking bets on what the endgame ship is going to be, because I know myself well enough to know there will be a ship but I have no idea who's going to be involved in it.

Elias Bouchard: Post-Mortem - Twoshot. Jonah Magnus decides to possess some loser Elias Bouchard, except "some loser" Elias apparently had some secrets that even Jonah isn't in on.

tim stoker's right to die - Oneshot. In which committing suicide falls under the umbrella of 'quitting,' and is therefore not allowed in the Archives.

Closed Doors - Todoroki Rei is a Lukas on her father's side. This has had a marked effect on the Todoroki family. Additionally, some other suspicious things are afoot, and Japan is becoming more dangerous by the day. Nobody is safe from the games being played by those in the shadows.

These Statements Certainly Have Their Quirks (Main Series) - The Series. When I refer to "my crossover verse," this is what I'm talking about. Jonathan Sims thinks that something's going down in Japan, so he takes Statements from prominent individuals who may be involved.

TMA/BNHA crossover brainrot <3 - The exact same as the above, but this series also contains bonus content and AUs directly branching off of the above AU. Hence, it's marked as incomplete, so that I can keep writing bonus Statements and things even though the main series is complete :)

I've got you / Under my skin - Oneshot. Unwind Dystology/TMA crossover, written mostly because I could. Hayden Upchurch is an Avatar of the Web, and if you know who that guy is, you understand a very particular kind of mental illness that this series inflicted upon me when I was a child.

Buzzfeed Unsolved/Markiplier Cinematic Universe (MCU) - Series. Buzzfeed Unsolved investigates Markiplier Manor from WKM. Just barely scrapes past the "nothing from before 2021" rule by virtue of procrastinating the last chapter until 2022. It's cute and silly and very 2019. The idea of doing more fake Unsolved episodes for fandom things is still kind of silly to me :) A little tempting :) (i am not implying anything directly but if you come to my askbox then maybe)

Yes I do, in fact! Take your pick:

Apprentice!Clive: A version of Clive who, after his parents die, clings to Professor Layton as the one good influence he has left. He follows Layton throughout his investigation into Bill Hawks, ultimately being there on the night Layton is hospitalized. While his mentor is in the hospital, he's adopted by Constance Dove, like in canon. Things go smoothly for a little while, the professor getting along nicely with his apprentice's new foster family after he's recovered from his coma. Then Lady Dove also dies. Also like in canon, Clive works part time at a paper, but this time around also works as the professor's TA. Long story short, Clive is present for all prequel media, original trilogy games, and since he's not an antagonist anymore, Unwound Future in specific is quite different (I've had this au rattling around in my brain for three years and I still haven't quite figured it out...). I do have an entire tag dedicated to this au, #apprentice clive au, so if you want to know more, scroll through that for a little while! I've also written a few fics about it, so if you wish, give those a read as well. I also have a relatively inactive ask blog for this huhu

Earthbound!Clive: A version of Clive from an au in which the events of 90's cult classic JRPG Earthbound take place within the Layton timeline after Unwound Future, with Layton characters as the chosen four. Check my tag for this one (#earthbound au) for more information about him and the au in general, but the basic jist is that Clive is taking Ness' role as the front man of the chosen four because he got broken out of jail and told about his destiny by a powerful psychic bug. Now, he's attempting to make that destiny come to fruition while facing all the trials and tribulations that come with a fugitive wanted for the deaths of thousands, including the police being on his ass, all the people he's supposed to team up with hating him, and hating himself just as much. Also by the end of the game he ends up being a psychic powerhouse with a sword he obtained in his own mind and manifests in our reality. Unsurprisingly, this au and version of Clive make much more sense if you've played/know the plot of Earthbound.

Fugitive Bill au

Fun little au idea I had (my brother helped) where bill breaks out of the theraprism and he’s on the run. His powers and immortality have been drained by the prism and he has to survive the multiverse with his brains, angles, and maybe a gun if he’s lucky. Bill would also have to grapple with the concept of mortality and have to rely on himself physically to get out of situations instead of using his powers. He is able to suffer from hunger, thirst and fatigue, and also the cold, which sucks for him because half of the dimensions he’s teleports to happen to be frozen wastelands. (he was able to throw together a teleportation device during his escape, but he can’t choose what dimension he goes to and it breaks down often) Anyway, hope yall enjoy the au, will continue posting stuff.

Description-

Mickey, a quick-thinking but not very experienced thief is on the run, and on foot, after clumsily burglarizing a gas station and forgetting to fill up his car with fuel before making his escape. 

A town over from the one he fled, after knocking on countless doors in the middle of the night and refused entry to every single one, he’s finally accepted into the home of Annie Ramirez, a lonesome, seemingly normal girl who claims she knows how to help him.

Who knew that such a kind gesture in a strange situation could bring the two together close enough for the girl to abandon her home and hit the road with him, showing him the ropes and the good life of crime and the way of the streets. All set with a totally fool proof plan for their future that was concocted in less than fifteen minutes, it’s take, take, take, sell, sell, sell and off to the sunny, sandy beaches of Florida to start a new, crime free life.

But on the way, they will face all kinds of problems and threats, from past rivals to new enemies, to close calls with the police. 

But chaos is all in adventure, right?

Life certainly wouldn’t be life without a little bit of Annie and Mickey, facing the big wide world by each other’s side, one fuck up at a time.

At some point there’d been some kind of attraction that bordered on romantic.

At what point exactly, she had no idea. 

The thing was, Annie didn’t remember feeling any romantic attraction to that guy at all, she couldn’t recall ever telling him she loved him, and couldn’t recall him telling her that, either.

Either way, it was clear that he didn’t and she had no issue with that.

Maybe it was the fact that he hung around so much that she actually missed him when he wasn’t around. Maybe it was the fact that he was more of a friend than he was a lover and that she missed the days they just hung out with no sex involved. 

Maybe it was how he made her feel so sexy and confident in the bedroom that she hated it when he wasn’t there to make her feel like that again.

Jaxon hadn’t really been her boyfriend, and she had never really considered him to be. She guessed he thought of it differently. 

He just decided to make her his shiny golden trophy to show off to his buddies and she honestly liked being flexed like that. She liked being the one thing that boosted his ego even if it meant she was treated like an object.

She was realizing it now. I mean, she had realized it before but it was even more certain now, that Jaxon was a clingy, whiney, sexist limp-dick pimp with no respect, not even self-directed.

Annie didn’t even understand what in tarnation possessed her to let him come home with her that night, or what’s more, to let him stay. 

Maybe it was his quick charm, his godly body or his Colgate smile, or maybe it was just the fact that she’d been so desperate for a good fuck she’d went under the illusion that his sex was actually good.

Which it wasn’t.

Jaxon was a smartass narcissist who made it his mission to have and play every girl under the bloody sun, and she was embarrassed it took so long to see that. Embarrassed that this is what it took for her to see it

They weren’t together but they lived together, Jaxon thought he owned her, had her wrapped around his finger. He thought he was God’s gift to her, like she’d never get anything better than him. Well, if he was the golden standard, she didn’t ever want to have sex again.

“What the hell Annie?! No! I live here, you can’t kick me out!” he shouted, his incredible height staggering over the girl. But she wasn’t at all intimidated, infact she’d assume he was intimidated by her.

He stood with no clothes on. Hair messy, sweat gleaming off his tattooed body, a sulky look in his eyes and a chick still sitting on the couch, probably disappointed with the shit time Jax gave her. 

That was just about the only sympathy Annie could give her.

“Can and will. This is my house, you just barged in and told me you were staying and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Take your tramp and get the hell out of my sight!” she growled at him. 

Yeah, so they weren’t together, which is why Annie didn’t understand why the hell she was so angry. He fucked other girls, she fucked other men (and sometimes women) as well.

Maybe it was the fact that Jaxon was always so hypocritical about it all the time. He’d get mad at her, claim she was cheating on him, betraying him and the maybe, on-and-off relationship they had. 

He’d turn around and fuck another chick in the ass in the same sentence.

“Annie quit being such a hypocrite and calm down” Jax said as he raced to pull his boxers on.

That just fueled the fire.

“Oh? Oh- did you just call me the hypocrite!?” she gaped at him, her jaw hitting the floor and an exasperated laugh spilling from her mouth. 

“Bitch you’re the one who keeps telling me I can’t see other people! You literally cheat on me all the time and tell me I’m the cheater!”.

“Annie you’re overreacting can you please just shut up and calm down- ”

“I’m so sick of you” she rolled her eyes, continuing on into her rant. 

“Telling me what to do, what to feel, what I should wear, where to go, who to fuck. I’m done with all that bullshit! And I’m so fucking done with all the games you play! Newsflash, It’s just a pain in the ass”.

Upon sensing that her presence wasn’t appreciated, the skinny, gorgeous brunette on the couch stood up and got dressed as well. When she was done, she took a pen and a note from the coffee table and scrawled something on it, handing the folded neon pink sticky note back to Annie. 

She just winked, and then turned to Jaxon.

“I’m gonna go now. Y’know I feel bad for your girl, I’m sure I could give myself a better time than what you gave me, imagine how she feels”.

Annie watched her go, almost wanting to grin and follow her out.

But she stayed put, instead serving Jaxon with a glare as he tried to move closer to her. “Baby I’m sorry but she was here and you weren’t and-”

“So you fucked her? I know, Captain Obvious” she drawled. “I’ve told you, I don’t want to tell you again, get the fuck out of my house”.

“What’s wrong with you? You’re so uptight! I’m not going anywhere, I’m staying here and you’re going to tell me what the hell’s gotten into you!”.

“What’s gotten into me? No, Jax, what’s gotten into you, thinking you can tell me not to fuck any other man than you, then turn around and fuck another girl on my couch in the same sentence. You’re a real piece of shit”.

“And yes, you fucking are going somewhere. Out” Annie shoved him back, forcing him to stumble towards the front door where the brunette chick had just left through. “Don’t make me call the cops and make you leave”.

“You can’t do this Annie. You won’t! You know you want me to stay! You know all you want me to do is take you in the bedroom and fuck you shitless, so let me do that baby-”

“Trust me when I say I don’t ever want to even sniff your dick again” she gave him another shove towards the door. 

“You aren’t my boyfriend, this isn’t your house. I do what I want when I want. You’re just upset because I finally have the balls to do it”.

“You won’t last! You’ll crawl back to me in a few days and take me back! You can’t live without me bitch!” he shouted, along with a few other childish obscenities which were blocked out by the sound of a door slamming in his face.

She immediately locked it as he began pounding on the other side of the door, making a total douche of himself.

“Watch me”  Annie flipped him off even though he couldn’t see it, then turned to head back into the living room. 

She debated sitting on the couch but decided she wanted no part in sitting on the object that had just been fucked on. 

She would probably sell it later, get a couch she actually liked.

She reached up to pull out her hair which had been pinned up into a bun for work, letting it fall in dyed, slightly faded bright pink strands down to her waist. She couldn’t be bothered cutting it.

Kicking off her shoes and peeling her uniform off, she walked around the house in just underwear and bra like she’d always wanted the freedom to do, and remained in the half-nude in the time it took to grab the tub of cookies and cream ice-cream from the freezer and walk upstairs to the bedroom.

She took with her the little note she’d been given.

Chucking on an oversized shirt and denim shorts, Annie dived onto the bed, popped open the ice-cream tub and turned on the TV for some Netflix. Yep, because she was free to do so now. No man in the house dictating what she could and couldn’t watch based on the mood he was in.

No baby, now she had everything to herself. Freedom had never felt so fine. She would have shaken Jax off long ago, if she’d known it would be this much of a relief.

Pulling up the contacts list in her phone, she tapped onto a friend’s name and called her.

“Yo! Dude you haven’t talked to me in like two days. You really need to shake that pimp of yours off so we can let loose and have some fun!”.

Danni Carter was a girlfriend of Annie’s, like a sister from another mister as they always claim. Danni was cool and gorgeous and hot in every sense, in a that girl could be on a vogue magazine cover if she didn’t have all those tats and piercings and shit kind of gorgeous.

Annie and Danni had found each other after highschool and from there, their criminal records and reputations had only spiraled downwards. They went through thick and thin but always made it out okay.

But it wasn’t just her looks that were gorgeous. Danni had a brilliant adventure seeking soul that Annie believed was hand-made just to fit with hers. Annie was wild and careless and considered a freak of nature by most.

Hair that was dyed a different colour every month, sleeve tattoos covering both arms, bellybutton piercing, ears with too many rings, septum ring and tongue stud. She wasn’t the type of girl who liked shiny pretty dresses or outfits, wasn’t the type to post Instagram selfies with butterfly filters. 

Maybe that had something to do with the fact that she couldn’t exactly afford that lifestyle.

She was the type of girl that liked things as easy as they could come, with a sex drive of yes and a minor addiction to coke and weed.

Sometimes Annie could be such a passive girl, with no other interest but to curl up and watch Netflix and sob over drama romance stories that were cornier every single time she watched them. She could be so sweet and pretty and innocent, but she could make the switch to devil’s definition in the blink of an eye.

“Well we’re in luck because I just booted him out and fucked if I’m letting him back in. I’m a free woman! Whaddya say we drink to that? I neeeeeeed to get pissed”.

“Say no more! Time for a PARTAYYYYY”.

By the time Annie had finished rambling to Danni over the phone about what the hell had even been happening since she last saw her face, she’d lost interest in the show she’d been watching and went to get up to go find another shirt to wear that wasn’t Stranger Things.

She also supposed she should go disinfect the couch and at least make sure nothing had been left behind. She needed somewhere to sit.

Annie stopped herself when she noticed the pink sticky note that sat untouched on the nightstand where she left it. She reached over for it, and carefully unfolded it to read what the brunette had scribbled down on it.

If smug, ego-lifting grins could kill, Annie would be dead and this sticky note would burst into flames.

Annie decided she really liked alcohol.

That shit was magical, the stuff of dreams. Could serve as a remedy to anything, because you’d forget what was wrong with you in a few hours. She’d place it only a tier below cocaine on her list of favourite things, really great. 

Fucking incredible. Makes for great nights and not remembering a thing.

It’s not so great when you have to crawl back into the house, scrounge around for the spare key like a raccoon in a garbage can and try to figure out where the hell the door even is to unlock it. 

Danni had dropped her off, but venturing to the house in the pouring rain had left her soaked and cold, chilled to the bone.

Somehow she managed it, and into the house she stumbled, a little bit past the verge of just tipsy. Annie flopped down onto the couch she’d cleaned and vacuumed earlier, which turned out to be a bit of a terrible idea because she could feel the springs beneath her back.

She sat there watching the TV for awhile, although she wasn’t coherent enough to understand what was actually going on. 

Not even ten minutes later, after deciding it wasn’t worth trying to decipher what was happening on the screen and turning it off, Annie perked her head up when she heard a noise.

It came from the front of the house, the front door, she thought.

Is someone knocking?

Yes, someone was. It came again, the sound of knuckles wrapping on the door at least three times before pausing to wait. 

Who the hell would be knocking on my door at this hour? Rude much.

Annie got up off the couch after much struggle, and managed to stay on her feet as she crossed the living room and turned the corner to the front door. Through the stained glass window at the top of the door she could make out the silhouette of a person. 

So he’s gotta be tall.

She hesitated when she went to grab the door handle. Wait. It’s Jaxon, isn’t it?

“Jaxon, fucking hell! If you think you can show up at my house in the middle of the night thinking I’ll take you back then you’ve got another thing coming!” Annie yelled as she yanked open the door to meet the eyes of the person standing on her porch.

And then her eyes widened a little, when she saw that infact this was not Jaxon. A bit taller, brown hair that stuck to his face from the rain he’d obviously been out in, and eyes she thought were green, but couldn’t quite tell because the lighting wasn’t helping.

He looked cold- incredibly cold, shivering and trembling with goosebumps on his arms. He wore a short-sleeved white and yellow striped shirt that clung to his lean frame. A desperate look on his face.

“Oh my god- what the hell? You’re soaking wet- you’re gonna get sick! What are you crazy?!” she met his eyes with a frantic look. He words were a little bit jittery and jumbly from intoxication. 

“What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?!”.

“Uh.........” the stranger sniffled, clearly coming down with something.

“M-my car broke down just out of town. I can’t afford to stay in a motel and I need some place t-to stay. So far you’re the only person who hasn’t told me to fuck off so............”.

Poor guy, she couldn’t help but think to herself.

She thought about what she should do.

If Jaxon were here, he’d have turned the bastard away just like everyone else, or maybe even slept through the knocking. But guess what? 

Jaxon wasn’t here.

Jaxon wasn’t here but this guy was. Standing there in the cold and rain, a shivering mess of a man who needed help. Annie might have been a bitch at times, but she wasn’t heartless.

“Quick! Get inside then! Out of the cold” she grabbed his hand without thinking and lead him inside, quickly shutting the door behind her and blocking out the cold.

The whole time, she wondered just what the hell she was thinking, letting a strange man in her house in the middle of the night.

Then again, Annie was drunk.
