aurghhh ok still rewatching '97 and the way guts and casca only have the room to breathe and really come to understand and care for each other in griffith's absence because he has such a strong hold over them both.... and the way their mutual dedication to him is what causes them to bicker for years (casca thinks he's not serving him well enough, guts thinks she doesn't get that he cares/how much he cares, casca's jealousy over griffith's feelings for guts, how he won his heart without even trying or being aware of it or doing anything with it) and is also a big part of what brings them together (earlier when guts deviates from the plan to save griffith and she commends him, in the cave casca opening up about griffith and her's past, showing that vulnerability, while it's mostly confrontational, leads to guts kinda getting her better, and his efforts to save and protect her (falling off the cliff with her, taking on the 100 men so she can escape, encouraging her to return to griffith so she can help him because it's what she feels she's meant to do (her dream, the direction in life guts shares and yet is questioning because of griffith's speech at the fountain, whether or not it's enough to serve him if it means he'll never be a true friend in griffith's eyes because he's not an equal), supporting the idea of her being with griffith/being his most important person like he won't because he doesn't view it as a competition like she has been since day one) leading to her realizing that he's kind of not that bad a guy and they have a lot more in common that she thought. and how the bonfire of dreams conversation is guts opening up to her in kind, the answer to her talking about how griffith saved her, how she feels. how neither of them ever call it love but it's something they know they both have for griffith. how it's something they're beginning to have for each other, different in ways they couldn't put a word to. because they're equals this time. the way griffith kind of becomes less and less important as they find other reasons to live and fight, as they become less singularly obsessed with him. how griffith is unable to stand it, guts' personhood, that agency and peer-to-peer equality he claimed to want (and perhaps truly did) that disappeared guts from his life, his plans, his side. how it barely even matters to griffith how casca changes because he never wanted her like she wanted him. god i can't fucking stand their shakespearean nonsense drama (<- hopelessly in love with their interpersonal dynamics)

Look I know lesbian visibility week is nearly over but I was stupid busy with coursework but honestly shut up. It’s her.

The other versions involve a light lesbian flag gradient overlay and a little gray overlay. This is because none of the flag poses were working out and I was running out of time, so… violet symbology. (Lesbian flower. Thank you Sappho. I think Lysander and Lucanis are going to end up being my favorite pairing in this game and I've barely even started playing his save yet. I'm just feral for the way they bond almost immediately. Lysander just has so much compassion for what Lucanis has been through, and he knows a lot about panicking and being afraid. Lucanis trusts him because there's no pity, just understanding. Lys will tell him all about his first year outside the Necropolis and how everything felt too big and too open and too much and how he spent every day for the first couple of months terrified he'd get lost and Varric would never find him again.

Lysander can talk to Spite the way Emmrich can, and they have some buck wild conversations. But he also reads to Lucanis at night when they're not sleeping, and Lucanis teaches him to cook, and they both look up one day and realize that they're in love with each other.

It's a very rare occasion when Roman is attracted to other men. More often than not they tend to be meta, some type of mutant perhaps or were AFAB themselves. Very few if any 'normal' males have ever caught his eye barring one or two exceptional individuals. He's got picky tastes and isn't afraid to hold men to -much- higher standards than when it comes to women.

For the WIP Q&A Tag game: What are the fae in your world like?

They were life with no limits. Think Dionysian revelry to the nth degree. Beautiful and unchanging. The Order of the Fae were Elves, Faeries, Unseelies, and Nymphs. At the height of their Empire, the world moved for them, as they were able to command life like their goddess. If they needed an animal for slaughter, they made one to eat. If they needed another human to do a task, they brought one out from thin air. Until Uensine took over the role of Death, they could refill a human body with more life so it could continue on even after dying of exhaustion or starvation.

In terms of appearances, Elves were tall with sharp ears, thin bodies, and colorful skin. Faeries take more animal-like features, have wings, and are smaller than an elf, but larger than a human. Unseelies were humanoid, but by barest definition and are more....lovecraftian than the other Fae. Nymphs were the most plentiful. Wispy little spirits that were barely visible to the human eye.
