Hi! Today I want to introduce you to my husband and I's dear friend, Abdelrahman Hajjaj.
This campaign is verified by the Butterfly Effect Project. Click here, find the "Verified Campaigns" tab, and check line #947.
Abod is 34 years old, and lives in Al Maghazi camp in Gaza. He is raising money to evacuate himself, his wife Aya, his daughter Leen, his parents, and one of his brothers. Leen was born premature and needs special care. His mother has blood cancer, his father uses a colostomy bag, and his brother is diabetic. Abod is desperate to leave Gaza and build a better life for his family elsewhere.
Abod's life is extremely dangerous. Something I especially want to highlight is the condition of his house. He lives on the top floor of his building, which has no doors and is missing walls. Thin blankets are the only thing separating him and his family from the elements, and the occupation's ammunition.
His daughter Leen just turned one on September 2nd, and she's able to crawl around more every day. What should be an exciting milestone also comes with a lot of dread. Abod has built barriers around the house to try and prevent Leen from crawling where it's most dangerous, but anyone who has young children knows it can be difficult to keep them out of trouble. Parents should not have to worry about their baby falling off the edge of their house, three stories to the ground below. Yet, this is just another everyday terror for Abod and Aya.
Abod and my husband are very close. They talk for hours every single day, sharing their hopes and fears with each other. A couple of weeks ago, gfm flagged Abod's campaign for verification, something you have probably seen happen to a lot of Gazan campaigns (this often leads to them being arbitrarily shut down). My husband assisted Abod with gfm's intense verification process, and thankfully it was successful. His campaign is also finally connected to a friend's bank account so he can receive funds.
Abod's campaign has not received much attention since it was created in June, and donations have been very slow. Abod does not have much hope for his campaign's success. Please help my husband and I prove him wrong.
He has only reached €11,784 of his €30,000 goal
Please share this post, and give generously and consistently to Abod's campaign. Even small donations add up quickly, so please don't hesitate!
I'm mailing mystery prints to anyone in the US who gives at least $10 (or the euro equivalent), and if you donate any amount and send me an email, I'll send you some comic PDFs (more info here).
Thank you for reading. Here is a video of Leen and her grandfather's cat :-)

I would love to hear this
Oh sure! Fair warning, this gets long, so it's under a cut:
So I have looked carefully at Maul post-bisection, specifically at where his abdomen ends and his prosthesis begins, and I believe that he was bisected between the L3 and L5 vertebrae, or just above his pelvic bone. Here is a diagram I drew on of where he was cut:
Image Description: The first image is a screenshot of Maul with his prosthetic legs from TCW. The screenshot is annotated to note where exactly Maul is divided between flesh and prosthesis. The second image is two diagrams side-by-side, one of the human body focusing on organs, and the other of the spine. Both have a line drawn around where the belly button is to note where Maul was bisected. End ID.
So in terms of what he lost, it was a LOT. Not just his legs, but most of his intestines, his bladder, his pelvis, his gonads, half his bones, most of his blood volume, and a lot of his abdominal and back muscles (as well as their attachment points, making the remaining muscles limited in their usefulness).
Image description: A diagram of the human musculature, from the ventral and dorsal sides. The diagram has a line drawn across it to show where Maul was bisected.
Fortunately for him, most of the organs in humanoids are located in the chest cavity (because the intestines need a LOT of room to work), so he kept his kidneys, liver, stomach, lungs, hearts, pancreas, gallbladder, etc etc. However, his intestines are interesting in that by getting chopped in half, his small intestine was actually disconnected from his large intestine. The small intestine connects to the large through the ileocecal valve, which is located on the left inferior side of the abdominal cavity. He got chopped right through the middle of the abdominal cavity, so he lost his entire cecum, the majority (if not all) of his ileum, and the valve that connected them. This means that anything he digested would just ooze into his abdominal cavity even after the giant wound repaired itself, unless he got surgery to reconnect them. We will say for the sake of the story that he fixed it with The Force while living in his trash hole.
Now, it is possible for people to be bisected like he was and survive, just only in a medical environment. It's an extremely rare and radical surgery called a hemicorporectomy. It's the last of the last resorts, because it leaves you with a lot of problems. Here are some of them:
Maul would need both a colostomy and urostomy bag, since his rectum and bladder are both gone. These would need to be regularly cleaned and emptied.
His missing intestines would also result in his not digesting most of his food fully, so he would need supplemental nutrients to help combat malnutrition. He obviously does not get these for most of his life (if ever) so he is almost certainly malnourished.
Due to his newfound Nightmare Castration, he would need regular doses of hormones or would risk osteoporosis. Which hormones is up to the reader (I nominate estrogen)
His spinal cord is, thankfully, fine--- it doesn't actually extend past L1-L2. However, he did lose the filum terminale, meaning his spinal cord is kinda unanchored in his spine and floating around, which isn't great and could lead to nerve issues down the line. Some of the nerves that were cut in his lumbar spine (specifically, the L4 lumbar nerve supplying the quadratus lumborum muscle) could also cause partial paralysis in his back, as well as some wicked back pain.
Shoutout to @necropocene for inspiration as well as the following headcanons:
Maul's lungs and other organs are constricted by his intestines being forced upward into his chest cavity, reducing his lung capacity
Maul suffers from chronic nausea
Maul's prosthesis needs to be very well-cushioned because the waist is not a load-bearing structure (too squishy!)
Now onto my specific headcanons for his prosthetics and mobility devices:
The thing about pelvises is not only do they let you use legs, they also allow your organs and muscles to attach to something rigid. For this reason, I think Maul should have two pelvises: one internal, being more like a metal frame that his abdominal and back muscles attach to, and one external and connected to his legs.
The lumbar spine and sacrum are what allow the spine to connect to the pelvis, so in order to use his prosthetic legs, I think it would be prudent to give Maul a prosthetic spine, Borg Queen-style. Now, this would admittedly be a pretty big infection risk (piece of metal sticking through the skin and all) but I think it's cool so I am invoking The Rule of Cool on this one.
Maul's legs are not something I spent much time on, because his canon ones are fine.
I do have headcanons for a wheelchair, though!
His wheelchair wouldn't be designed like your average wheelchair, because those are generally designed to accommodate people who have pelvises. His would probably look more like a plant pot or a baby bjorn, imo? It would have to support him without putting too much pressure on his torso, so I think a sort of foam well with a backrest, attached to wheels would be a good design.
I also think that his prosthetic spine should be able to dock with the wheelchair so that he can control it as an extension of his body, like the prosthetic legs.
Image description: Three pencil drawings on notebook paper. One is of Maul post-bisection, with each of his organs labeled and colostomy, urostomy, and gastronomy ports. The next two are of his wheelchair, which follows the description previously given. End ID.
And yeah, those are my headcanons! Thanks for asking :) I love talking about fantasy biology!

Update :)
It's funny how it's been such a long time since I've posted here, yet it still feels like home—hello, loves~!
It goes without saying that I owe an explanation as to why I disappeared from the face of the Earth for so long.
The last time I was able to truly connect with you was when my family and I caught Covid (great times, let me tell you) - after that, I totally disappeared, and as much as I would love to say it was for good and positive reasons, to be very blunt and straight to the point, it wasn't.
For those sensitive to the topics of illness and mental health, skip to the image of a giant cat for the good news!
Once again, as everyone knows, my whole family got COVID-19. While my Mom, Dad, and I weren't too hot, we were functioning. But my husband was really struggling. And when weeks passed, and his health started to get worse and worse, we realized that this was something more than just COVID-19.
My husband is hesitant to provide full details about what occurred, primarily because it's still a recent event and something he's currently grappling with. Still, my husband went from being a healthy, physically active person to being bedridden.
It was a really hard time for everyone because my husband is like the sun. All smiles and outgoing - to suddenly unable to eat or hold down food, needing help with showering and to be very blunt, depressed and suicidal because he lost everything due to this sickness.
Unfortunately, cancer runs in his family, and while he got tested multiple times and came back negative (yay!), he is still not out of the dark. He has done numerous surgeries in hopes of getting better (his most recent this January), and at this time, his last resort is getting a colostomy bag. He is currently undergoing some experimental treatments because doctors don't want to do the surgery based on his age.
It goes without saying why I haven't been posting and updating anything. There's been a lot going on, and I want to be on his side as much as possible.
But there is some good news!
I am mainly posting this message because he has improved greatly these past few weeks and is now in a much better physical and mental state. Seeing him get his feet back on the ground has given me the confidence to resume writing.
I have never stopped writing, but I have stopped publicly posting my writing mainly because I didn't have the time to sit down and properly edit.
My friends behind the scenes have been real stars. They have kept me going and encouraged me to keep writing.
I aim to post small works and drabbles until I feel confident enough to finish my biggest baby, Limerence.
To all those messages saying you missed Yue and Zuko, they're back - sorry, not sorry.
Thank you to everyone who has written messages to me. Trust me when I say I read them all, and I truly appreciate them. It meant a lot to get them and read them when I was not active because there were a few dark moments during my time away with everything going on, and honestly, it made me really happy. While I could never express my thanks in enough words, please know I greatly valued it.
I wanted to keep this short and sweet, but as we know, I am not known for short things (I try I swear askdjahjhksdj)😅
Thank you, and I wish everyone a fabulous day with tons of hugs and kisses.
I can't wait to write to you all soon~ ❤️

MY FIRST HALF-LIFE 2 OC! Meet Zivko, the salvaged stalker. most of his info is written on his sheet but i'll include them here + other facts :)
-Nicknamed the 'Salvaged Stalker' -5'11" and 16.2kg -He barely escaped the stalkerization process being liberated during the major raid of Nova Prospekt. -Zivko used to be a skilled mechanic in the Resistance, but he now has to regain the skills he lost as he recovers. -He was tortured and his memory was wiped, but luckily he was rescued before he reached the 'conditioning' stage. With the help of his ride or die vort buddy, he is regaining his sense of self and his memories. -His life is dedicated to freeing those under the combine. The reason as to why he was saved from a fate worse than death is unknown, but this mystery steers him to go on. -He has hacked combine eye enhancements installed to restore his vision (combine plucked his eyes out). -Due to the removal of his genitals, rebel medics fitted him with a urostomy & colostomy. His waist bindings hold the ostomies in place. (smaller is urostomy, larger is colostomy) -He looked a lot different before this happened to him, maybe another time i'll draw how he looked before it all. -An extra beam on the back of his legs were installed for better mobility and support. -His rebel insignia and bracelet were crafted by his vortigaunt buddy (who has yet to be drawn, I will get on that soon), the cyan paint is made from the same substance as the vort murals we see in HL:A. -Because of his serious body image problems (rightfully so), he almost always wears clothing that covers his body and face. He is also susceptible to the cold due to his weight. -Because of the removal of his nose and outer ears, he's also susceptible to respiratory problems and his hearing can be quite sensitive, not always sure of the direction of sounds. -Sad but important fact about him, because of the constant pain he's in and his shattered image of himself, he'd rather be dead. The only thing keeping him around is the fact that he is alive. Somehow HE, some random mechanic, survived against the odds and might just be one of, if not THE, only people to come out of Nova Prospekt still human. Even if he doesn't understand it yet, there must be a reason for his survival.
#half life#half life 2#my art#original character#half life oc#hl2 stalker#body horror warning#nudity warning?? sort of#zivko oc#steal my dude and i'll turn you into a stalker#vortigaunt oc coming sooooon!

Was she or was she not born with a vulva?
That's all I care about. Whether a condition she has should or should not disqualify a certain woman from a certain sport is a different conversation.
But if she was born with a vagina, I don't care if she has a Y chromosome ffs. She's a woman. Before the discovery of chromosomes, women and girls were identified by vulvas. Does material reality matter when it comes to womanhood and oppression, or does it fucking not?
You can't see chromosomes. You can see genitals. No, not at all the time, and yes, we can tell by secondary and tertiary sex characteristics the vast majority of the time. But not all the time. Some people genuinely look androgynous or even like the opposite sex. It's rare, but it happens.
Some women have gotten by in history by posing as men. I, a fertile female, have been mistaken for male when I've let my upper lip hair grow! If we looked back through history and exhumed the bodies of women who posed as men, say, Dr James Barry, and found that she had XY chromosomes, does it make her less of a woman in history trying to practice medicine in a time when women weren't allowed to? Whose accomplishments were discredited when they gave her an autopsy and found her to be female (because she had a vulva)? Is it really just misdirected misogyny if a baby is born with the very female organ that men try to control, if it turns out she's actually a male who didn't develop properly in the womb?
Personally, no, I don't think so. Those are my sisters. They are not whole ass men developing a fantasy of what being women is and playing at being women and invading our spaces and taking up our resources. They are not even like David Reimer who was born as an intact male, had his genitals destroyed, had to use a colostomy bag, and whose parents attempted to raise as a girl. They were born and treated as girls.
Tell me, if you heard right now about a woman from 200 years ago who posed as a man to get an education, fight in war, etc. and never had any children, you wouldn't be happy to learn about her, you wouldn't see her as an icon. But it's entirely possible the reason she didn't have children and was able to pass as a man is because she was technically male with a DSD! So is that suddenly not a woman's accomplishment? How is that different from transing historical figures? Shrodinger's female accomplishments until a chromosome test?
An XX female with an SRY gene activated will develop as an infertile male. Is he one of us because of his fucking chromosomes? With a whole ass penis?
Like, come the fuck on. A lot of people here lately seem to really want to be the "TERF" stereotype. Literally seeing people arguing that being born with a vulva doesn't count because of neovulvas! Are you fucking kidding me?!? What happened to the vagina and clitoris being organs whereas neovulvas are an open wound that doesn't and can't function as more than a hole? Suddenly it's similar enough that only chromosomes count? Come off it!
Again, I'm not talking about whether a woman with XY chromosomes should be playing in certain sports. I don't know enough to have a fully formed opinion on that.
It's the way people are insisting on calling them men that's pissing me off. You do not know enough to do that. If they were born with malformed penises, fine! Have at it! But we have no evidence of that. All we know is that they *probably* have XY chromosomes. That says nothing about whether they have Swyer Syndrome, CAIS, or another XY DSD I'm not aware of where the babies are born with female genitalia.
Just, enough. If you want to talk about whether the tiny percentage of women with XY chromosomes have automatic advantages (I think they likely do, but again I don't know) over non-DSD females, talk about that. You can do that without calling women with DSDs men.

PLEASE HELP US HELP OUR FRIEND'S FAMILY
URGENT IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
Siraj and her family need $500 to secure a truck in order to move herself, her disable husband, and her 5 children to a safer location.
In addition to this, she needs new shoes, and one of her sons needs access to emergency medical supplies, including colostomy bags. Long-term, they need food, water, and enough money to relocate permanently.
MORE INFO & BACKGROUND:
Siraj and her family are currently in Nuseirat, weighing their options. it is difficult to relocate with so many kids and an adult with a disability, and they have already had to do it twelve times. we are hoping to ease their troubles by helping them get access to a truck, as mentioned above.
Siraj keeps us posted, and despite everything her spirits are high. she was excited to let us know that she used some of the funds to buy an avocado as a treat. please, if you have anything to spare, help us help our friend's family. a reblog also goes a long way.
for updates on how the fund is going, and news from Siraj and her family, Beth, who runs the gfm, posts on instagram, and you can follow her here.
from the gfm page:
Siraj is a 32 year old mother of 5 children. Siraj met her husband Mohammad and married him in 2010 while she was attending Al Asqa university in Gaza, where she graduated in 2012 with a degree in public and media relations. She and Mohammed opened their own business, a clothing store, and worked very hard to provide for their family. They had a successful business and a beautiful home they shared with Mohammed’s family as well. When they first started their business it was an online store, but they were in the process of opening a physical storefront last fall. When their home was destroyed in October they also lost all of the merchandise they had purchased to open their store. Their home was in Nuseirat in Gaza City. The family was at home on the 17th of October when their home was hit. The entire family was trapped and injured in this event. Mohammed suffered an injury to his foot and has been disabled ever since. The parents also had to go through the horror of digging their babies out from the rubble and trying to get their injuries treated. After they lost their home in October, they have been displaced and ordered to move 12 different times. You can imagine the physical and emotional toll this must take on someone. This family currently lives in a tent somewhere southeast of the city. They do not have the means to move again should they be ordered to at this time. The long term goal for this family is medical evacuation for the child Eyad, as he is suffering the most. Realistically medical care for the entire family is needed.
LEARN ABOUT THE CHILDREN UNDER THE READ MORE CUT!
Their oldest children are twins Maya & Yazan who are 11. Siraj has told me that Yazan had dreams of being in the Olympics and mom said he competed in swimming and martial arts and horseback riding. Maya is a gifted artist who misses her school and classmates. Their second son is Eyad who is 7. Eyad is special because he requires medical supplies that aren’t available to the family right now; a colostomy bag, which the family is forced to improvise for him, as none are available. Having a need like this go unmet will cause more issues for Eyad in coming days and his parents are distraught that they can’t care for him. He could suffer from skin breakdown from having his waste touch his skin without these supplies. Part of the funds we raise will be saved for future medical supplies. Siraj will keep some funds on hand to purchase things for Eyad when they are available. Next is Ibrahem, who is only 3 years old. Ibrahem is a toddler who should be at the playground or the chalet with his cousins and instead has to make due at camp. Baby Ahmed just turned one in July. He has spent more of his life dodging bullets than he has got to spend feeling safe with his family. The last reported costs at Rafah crossing to Egypt were $5000 -$7000 per person. All funds are going directly to this family. Funds that are withdrawn now will be used to purchase needed items like food or repairs for their tent. Any withdrawn funds that are left will be saved to purchase future supplies when they are available and for future living expenses. It is our intention that the children will continue to benefit from this fund should something happen to their parents.
photos are from "before".
this campaign is run by one of Siraj's family members who lives in the US, with the help of one of my best friends, who is assisting with writing in English and posting to social media. my friend and Siraj have been getting to know one another over the past couple of months, and we have all come to view her as a friend. for her birthday, we all sent her a video wishing her a happy birthday, and she was delighted to see the faces of people on the otheer side of the world who care about her. this is very personal to me. please please help if you can.

I'm in the car and I'm bored en
SO HERES A LIST OF MY MEDICAL ISSUES IVE HAD THROUGHOUT LIFE 😃
Vaugly related to my fanfic
Tetrology of Fallot (tof): congenital (born with it) heart defect that is basically 4 defects in 1 (I do not have the energy to look up or type all those scientific words rn so sorry)
I've had 3 open heart surgeries to fix it o e at 8 days 10 months and 5 years
Died 6 times on the second one 😃
Ngl life isn't too different with it
If you don't count the yearly doctor visits and can't play contact sports
I mean there's more to it that that obviously but it's mainly small things like getting out of breath quicker and I bruise easy because of having to take baby asprin
BUT the doctors ORIGINALLY said I was never gonna be able to walk or talk or do anything for myself
God vetoed that decision 😌
NOW I NEVER SHUT UP 😁
Got a nifty battle scar down my chest as a souvenir ☺️
And I used to be called smurf baby cause I turned blue alot
I make jokes about it now (hush I'm allowed to )
Ngl pretty sure I'm short cause failure to thrive as a baby cause of that 😭
Don't think there's any scientific backing on that tho for tof patients
Imperferated anus + colostomy bag: basically means I was born without a butthole
Not even joking on that i wasnt
But had to have three gastrointestinal surgeries from that
Don't know the ages or many details but I'm pretty sure I was two for the last one
And I had to have a colostomy bag
Thankfully don't remember it
Buy my waste went into a bag that had to be changed out
Ik it got infected so the scar is bugger than it should be
Seizures: if you've read my fanfic that's explained in detail for how it feels
But that was from aged 5-10
We never found the specific reasons for it
But we do hypothesize it has something tk do with possible scar tissue on my brain
Either from a heart attack/stroke/lack of oxygen from my second heart surgery is what we think it could be from
During a seizure my heart would start beating weird (not good description ik but idk how to describe it really) and my vision would start to tunnel out my tongue would tingle and then I'd black out
During a seizure I couldn't hear anything or see anything but my head would completely start to tingle
From my parents I was told during them I would stiffen up and lock my joints and almost seem to hyperventilate
It was control moderately well by medicine but I thankfully do not have them anymore
Hard hearing: im not like deaf or anything nor do I use hearing aids but my hearing isn't what it should be for a normal teenager lol
This is because during one of my heart surgeries they gave me a drug used on horses and a little too much if it at that (ketamine?)
Legally blind: yeah come to find out last year found out my eye sight is actual crap
Without my glasses I am legally blind
I've got 20/200 vision 😭
So I've got these crazy thick glasses now
Tourretts: neurological disorder where I make these random noises and movents
Got diagnosed back in sixth grade
My tics ate ill make various sounding noises (all kinda of variations of a hiccup for visualization) and my head will jerk back
It was awful before we found out what it was
Got picked on for it quite a bit and a certain teacher of mine essentially told me "just stop bro lol" and I'd get sent out of class for it even after we had doctor notes for it
Just get up out of that wheel chair then then buddy ☺️
They'd get set off my certain things
Music being one of them so I would carry around these earbuds when there was music around so it didn't get set off
I'm on medicine now for it and it's a LOT better
And a recent development (in the past 6 months) I've been able to listen to music again!
The tourretts aren't going away tho
If over been without medicine for more than 2 days it's BAD
Ovarian cyst (possible pcos?) : this has happened over this summer so you already got some rants on that lol
Buy I've got an 8cm cyst on my left ovary
Hurts like a beach 😃
In fact this Friday I was holed up in my room hyped up on narcotics cause of it
Fun stuff 🙂
Surgery is supposed to be on October 5th so we'll see how that goes
Yeah so medical history of mine 😃
That's fine
We'll see what comes next to the collection I can add
Also here's some pics of a couple of my scars (that I can show several are in places I'm not keen of people seeing 😅)
That's my colostomy scar
And near the top you can see a scar from a chest tube from my third heart surgery
And here's a really good picture of my heart surgery scar that I have (goes down to under the ribcage)
On my neck you can see a breathing tube scar
At least I think that's what it is
Also the corner of my lip I have a scar from some sort of tube from surgery (can't see it well on camera
Tbh idk what half these tiny scars are from
I just know they're remnants of surgery
Any way I do know kw I have a couple of other chest tube scars
But they are not in places to be shown
Same with a few dimples near my tail bone from gastrointestinal surgery
But those are there too
#heart surgery#tetrology of fallot#chd#tourrettes#seizures#tof#colostomy#ostomy#scars#i love them so much ☺️

For the ask game, Lucy and Kyouka with ♿️, 🩼, ☔️, 🏳️🌈 and 🐶
I hope that's not too much! (and sorry about the questions being kinda out of order lol)
Hi anon! Because of the number of points here, we are just doing Lucy, but feel free to resend if you want us to do Kyouka as well!!!!
Lucy
♿️ - What is your disability headcanon for [character]? What are the main symptoms that they show? Be as specific or as vague as you want.
Okay Lucy to me has:
Schizoaffective disorder- To me her main symptoms would have disorganized behavior and speech, hallucinations, and mania/depressive episode
She also uses/used a colostomy bag- Although atp I'm unsure if I headcanon her as having it a permanently or just as a young teenager, I think it was either an infection or cancer that causes her to need one. In this post though we're going for it being permanent.
System Lucy is a headcanon we have- however currently I'm leaning towards Anne being a reoccurring hallucination rather than an alter
I don't know what exactly this would class as but due to the orphanage I think she would have something with her hands maybe a nerve or skin issue? Because I don't know what exactly I won't specify this but it's a Thing imo.
🩼 - What is their relationship like with their disability? Are they in denial? Do they fight against it? Are they at peace with their disability?
I think with her schizoaffective disorder she's very used to it, however I think she does have times where she is reluctant to (or judt doesn't) take her meds because she wants to be 'better' and 'normal'.
With her colostomy bag I think she despises it. Having been bullied for using one (despite it being necessary for her to survive) I think she just associates it with bad things and would hide it. She's very anxious to have people find out that she uses one because she doesn't want to answer any of the intrusive questions that come with it. Sometimes she struggles to change it because of this.
🐶 - Has their past affected their disability and it's formation? How?
I think this is an interesting question. In Lucy's case I think the bullying and mistreatment 100% caused (or triggered) her schizoaffective disorder. Obviously we don't know her parents so there could be a genetic element too. But I think being called a freak and so forth impacted her majorly and had her developing delusional thoughts at a young age that weren't picked up on. Also I think the nature of her ability would aid in her disorder.
I don't think there was much she could do to change the possibility of having a colostomy, although I think the orphanage could have picked up on her medical needs sooner and gotten her help that means she may not have needed one.
☔️ - What does a 'bad day' look like for them? How do they cope with this?
I think a bad day for Lucy would involve a lot of emotions and sobbing. She wants attention and reassurance but isn't sure how to ask for this. I think she would lock herself in her ability and just. be held by Anne because she feels like no one else can love her.
I think if she was in mania rather than the depression she would act incredibly impulsively, and possibly have an aggressive streak when she's manic.
For her colostomy, it causes skin irritation, and that makes her upset because it's like a permanent reminder that it's there. Also if it leaks and Lucy is in a bad place she will break down and possibly panic depending on where she is when or if she's in a bad place in general.
🏳️🌈 - A random headcanon about [character] and their disability
I've said this before but I think Lucy is a horror junkie, however I also think this could make her psychosis symptoms worse. The Guild have pretty much banned her from watching horror films.
For a headcanon we haven't spoken about.... Besdies Anne, I think Louisa and Atushi are the only people who have actually seen Lucy's colostomy bag. I though Louisa is the only person Lucy has let close enough to help her with changing it.

🦾 A disability headcanon for anyone in the 501st
Canon and headcanon ideas welcome 😅
Headcanon Ask Game
You've given me a bit to think about Anon. So, here's what I could come up with:
Rex obviously has PTSD after everything he went through. I also headcanon him as having a weaker immune system due to coming into contact with the Blue Shadow Virus, as well as potentially developing cardiac issues later on in life due to getting sniped by a commando droid in Saleucami.
Nax would very likely also suffer from PTSD since he survived some of the worst battles the 501st ever faced (Christophsis, Teth and Umbara). He does canonically have shrapnel in his leg, so he likely has a pronounced limp (he'd probably needs a cane to get around more easily).
As a triple amputee, Echo is not only visibly disabled but I think he'd need mandatory mobility aids to give his body some rest once in a while. His missions with Clone Force 99 and Rex's clone rebellion are very intense and physically tasking, so a hoverchair is a must. I also think he's very likely deaf in at least one ear, so he needs an hearing aid (and probably gradually loses hearing in his one good ear later in life). Lastly on the physical disability list, there's the high possibility of him needing a colostomy bag. On the psychological list we have PTSD and autism (the former affects him more than the latter ever did, but occasionally he has disassociative episodes that can last hours if he's stressed enough to shut down)
Kix has severe PTSD and likely suffers from intense nightmares and disassociative episodes post stasis freezing.
Aside from the doom and gloom above, I have always had the headcanon that Dogma is autistic. Had we gotten to see him past the Umbara Arc I have no doubt he would have also had suffered from PTSD due to the events that unfolded.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Police are searching for suspects connected to an assault from Sunday morning in South Oklahoma City that left one man beaten, bloodied, and abandoned.
A group of teens have been arrested, but more are suspected to be connected.
“That is disgusting,” said Mike Martin who has lived near that area for decades.
It was May 26th when the assault is said to have occurred according to court documents.
In the Northwest Corner of a 7/11 gas station near Kentucky Avenue and Southwest 59th Street, Tilman Shannon was seen getting yelled at by people in a vehicle.
Surveillance footage showed several teens yelling and threatening Shannon. Shannon tried to run away but was beaten down near the dumpster on the opposite end of the parking lot.
“Investigators later learned due to some video in the area that this was an attack on the victim from several people,” said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk.
Sgt. Quirk said that it was the gas station’s surveillance video that showed nine people that surrounded Shannon and beat him relentlessly.
The video that showed the most disturbing actions was said to be found on social media. Allegedly one of the suspects Veronica Benavente had streamed the attack on her Instagram page.
Police said that she is heard in the video, which is 1 minute and 30 seconds, she tells Shannon, “We are kids.” She continued to talk and call somebody an expletive. An arrest affidavit reported that Benavente is heard using racist slurs and racist expletives.
The group is said to have bragged about being kids in the fight and laughed several times.
At one point one of the teenagers grabbed Shannon’s Colostomy bag and pulled it out, his intestinal tract came out with it.

“He had some pretty severe injuries and pretty significant trauma,” said Sgt. Quirk.
“That is so scary,” said Trisha Tyler who moved to the neighborhood around five years ago. “This neighborhood isn’t usually all that dangerous,” said Tyler when asked if she sees crime often here.
“It’s not that common but there are a lot of gangs around here,” said Mike Martin.
Martin said that he has lived in the same house for several decades and gangs have been very common.
“Not that long ago I saw some elementary-age kids in front of my house with bandanas on and I was like, ‘What are you guys doing?’ They yelled something and acted all tough,” said Martin.
Eventually, Shannon was taken to OU Medical Center with severe injuries and is expected to survive.
Three juvenile suspects were found, and two adult suspects which included Benavente and 18-year-old Eric Villagomez were arrested. Officials said that there are four other suspects seen in the video who have not been found.
If you know anything about the incident or have any information for police you are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 405-235-7300.

I am about at my wit's end with my family. My grandfather is dying. He has hospice coming out to the house, and I get called frequently to check on him, explain things, or give my opinion. The issue is that I do have opinions, but no one will listen to them! He needs to be DNR. He needs to be at the hospice care center, where qualified nurses can adequately manage his pain and anxiety. His symptoms have escalated well and far beyond a level that my grandmother can control at home. He needs to be left alone, with no additional procedures or interventions apart from symptom-relieving medications, to die with whatever peace we can provide.
Instead of listening to me, my family likes to call a family friend who is a radiologist. He has not practiced clinical medicine for well over 20 years, and his recommendations are questionable at best. For example, he advised they place a G-tube in my dying uncle when that was a wildly inappropriate move for a variety of reasons. But because he advised it and it sounded like hope, my aunt pushed for it despite my protests, got it done, and it ultimately caused him a lot of pain when complications from the operation killed him.
My grandfather is dying and has a very poor if any quality of life, and nothing is going to change that. He can't speak or recognize anyone. He can't see. He can't move apart from raising and lowering his arms. He lost the ability to cough entirely, and aspirates constantly. He lost the ability to have a bowel movement without an enema or manual stimulation. He lost the ability to eat. His body is done.
Still, Radiologist Friend is out here talking about colectomies and colostomies, trachs, feeding tubes, and all sorts of wild interventions. I just want to wring his neck because every word he says gives my grandmother reasons to stay in denial about his prognosis. IF she could even find a surgeon to do any of these procedures, they would not change the outcome, nor would they make his life any better. More importantly, he would never have wanted those sorts of things done. He was always a fiercely proud and independent man. He would not have wanted to spend his last days in a hospital hooked up to tubes and lines while machines breathed for him. They know that I am the grim reaper of the family. When I come in to talk, they know what I am going to say: Let it be and let him go. It's time. No one wants to accept that, though, so they turn to Radiologist Friend who is more than willing to offer up a list of procedures and false hopes that won't actually add any quality of life, but may easily detract from it.

I've got baggage
Thursday, October 24th
Adjusting to a new life with a colostomy bag, modified diet and lots of rest and liquids. Having the colostomy helped so much in obvious ways, but also satiated my inner control freak and micromanager. I felt like having all these new tasks to focus on gave purpose to my day and helped me feel more in control of my body.
Massive Rewind moment - in the day or so after my diagnosis, all the frivolous things in my life ceased to matter to me anymore. I had no interest in social media, the phone game i've been playing for the past 15 years, or the band I love to follow. I was too busy thinking about whether I wanted to live or die. (so dramatic) - Rewind over
Today was teach day. I was meeting my oncology team to have a "teach". This is where they go over all the chemos that you are getting, how they are going to be administered, the schedule, side affects, and so on. I met Dr. M's (oncologist) PA, Dr. Pratt, another beautiful, educated woman - again, all this feminine energy. I feel so cared for. So here's your top cancer FAQ all in one place!
My cancer is "at least stage 3" - the final staging will likely depend on the PET scan results that will determine where every bit of active cancer is.
I will be taking Oxaliplatin (literally platinum (the metal) chemo that kills rapidly dividing cells, both good and bad, throughout the body) and Fluororacil (changes how cancer cells make and use DNA and RNA. It stops cancer cells from making important proteins that cause cell death and can slow or stop cancer from growing.)
My side affects will be cold dysesthesias, neuropathy in hands and feet, nausea. No hair loss! I will wear ice pack gloves and socks to combat the neuropathy, take glutamine supplements to help with the symptoms. Here's important info on the cold dysesthesias:

Clothing & Wearing Magic – Part 1
Something common within the witch community is to read the advice to enchant necklaces and rings for various purposes, and although it is also common to read about putting sigils hidden in clothes or the soles of shoes, there is much more cloth to cut regarding the subject. So I will classify it in several parts. Remember that it is only indicative, examples may be missing and there are a thousand enchantments that could be better, but it is only to give an idea.
Part 1: Location.
Different parts of the body have different biological functions, and while a charm on the hand or foot (for luck, for example) can have similar results, checking “where” it is implemented is important to maximize its potential when resort to correspondence. When several things correspond to the same end, they are potentiated, add their skills, which gives more lasting, strong and effective results. That is why I have divided the location based on the different parts of the body.
Headgear: Hats, earings, glasses, sunglasses, scarves, headphones, masks, etc. These elements tend to be linked to primary sensory characteristics and intelligence, it can be said that the head is dominated by the Air element, so what reigns here are the abilities to see/hear/smell/speak, eloquence, ability to talk, how the brain works in social mode. So any enchantment intended to enhance (or nullify) these abilities will benefit if applied to a head outfit, as well as strengthen Clairsentience. It also includes your own hair, hairstyle and hair color, which makes it more versatile.
Hats, beanies, veils, tiaras, headbands, hair clips, etc: By covering the head they function more as protectors, a natural barrier to energy. Since the top usually has the most "pure" energy, people who are sensitive to energy changes (or energy vampires) may benefit from enchanting hats. It can also serve to strengthen Claircognizance. Above all, it can help with charms dedicated to the brain, social anxiety, mental illness, etc. (pls mundane before magic okay baby? Love you).
Earings, ear piercings, headphones, hearing aid, cochlear implant: Ear charms. Hear truths, ignore lies, ignore gossip, hear dangers. It can benefit to strengthen Clairaudience.
Eyeglasses, sunglasses, eyebrow piercing, contact lenses, prosthetic eyes: Eye Charms. See the truth, not be affected by glam spells, barriers to spells and energies, focus, strengthen Clairvoyance.
Masks, scarves, mouth/tongue/nose piercing, brackets, necklaces, tracheostomy tube: It can help to verbalize our ideas, control stuttering, anxiety to speak, to say what should be said, in addition to strengthening Clairalience and Clairgustance.
Hand elements: Bracelets, watch, rings, nail color/design, wristbands, gloves. The hands are givers and takers of energy, you literally manipulate energy all day long, so the spells here can focus on that manipulation. They are the most common to enchant for their versatility and ease of exchange.
Torso Elements: The torso carries the center of our energy (and organs), so it is usually the area that requires the least protection (spiritually speaking, it is dominated by the four elements, but mainly Earth and Fire), since it carries accumulated energy, which is difficult to affect. The organs, the amount of "life" (biological activity, electricity, blood), accumulations of bones and organic material (organs, food, fluids), make it the defensive point of the body. Even so, it can be benefited by spells depending on the clothes.
Underwear/ binders/ necklaces/ medical equipment such as CPAP, colostomy bag, etc: They are linked to what is closest to the body, therefore, they can be enchanted for everything linked to internal desires, fears and, for medical equipment, to improve health (enchanting equipment can also help them work better, last longer in optimal condition, reduce symptoms and so on, but remember, be careful, pls).
Outerwear such as hoodies, jackets, poncho, coats or whatever you are wearing as a top layer: Being in direct contact with the outside world, you can benefit from enchanting it with protection, or spells for bravery, courage, strength.
Leg Elements: Pants, belts, canes, walkers, wheelchair, skirts, orthopedic legs. Ruled mainly by the Earth element, it can help to strengthen mobility, agility, speed, dexterity spells, not to move from your place, to remain firm.
Foot Elements: Shoes, slippers, orthopedic shoes, ankle bracelet. As with the legs, the feet focus on mobility, but they are also the ones that transport you through different energy spaces, they are the ones that can most easily receive the influence of the energy of the place, so it can be beneficial to add enchantments of protection. Socks are usually responsible for collecting odors, and due to their "nature" of being easily replaceable, it is not wrong to think that enchanting them can also help absorb bad energy, which will go down the drain when washed.
Part 2: Materials.
Part 3: Designs and Colors.

Takhirzhon Bakiev, a Russian inmate who was tortured and abused by prison guards in 2021, has reportedly been found dead in his cell in Irkutsk. According to the Telegram channel Zapravka 38, he died by suicide.
Bakiev’s sister confirmed his death to journalists from Sibir.Realii, RFE/RL’s Siberian affiliate. She said that Federal Penitentiary Service employees called her on February 6 and asked her to “come and pick up the body.”
The regional prison authorities told the outlet People of Baikal that there “was a suicide” on February 4 but did not specify who died.
Human rights advocates published a letter written by Bakiev before his death. In it, he asked for help and said he “can’t manage on [his] own”:
My spine is injured, my intestines are torn, I have a colostomy bag on my stomach, my psyche is shattered. [...] Please help. I can’t manage on my own anymore. I don’t want to die here with the words that I did it myself.
Takhirzhon Bakiev was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2019 on weapons theft charges. In January 2021, the human rights watchdog Gulagu.net reported that prison staff had restrained Bakiev with tape while other inmates beat him and raped him with a broomstick. In 2023, three former prison employees were sentenced to five years in prison in connection with the case.

Lost my job. Again. (help?)
So, I was let go fom my contract job with Apple on the 7th. I applied for unemployment, as one does, even though the State of Texas’ unemployment benefits fall somewhere between “laughable” and “miniscule”.
Backstory: I worked for the State of TX until the end of October last year (one year exactly). During that year I a) suffered from bad depressive episodes and b) had major abdominal surgery (diverticulitis with colon perforation). I am still outfitted with a colostomy bag. I had many many problems with my team and team leads, which led to me being fired.
Then they came after my unermployment benefits, after I had already received them. We had a phone hearling, and the judge decided in favor of the State (shocker) that I had no rights to my unemployment benefitts because I hadn’t done my job. Did I try to pay it back? No, as I was unemployed for another couple months and then I was frantically paying off past due mortgage payments.
And oh, yeah, I moved my BiL in with me. He’s my sister’s widower and was stuck in a trailer in Plainview TX with no car. (There’s also a month-long coma and a dead roommate in there.) He’s a great guy, but I literally haven’t lived with another human in over 30 years. (mental stress!) He gets some SS, and helps with the groceries and utilities.
Back to today: I was informed by the State of Texas, that oh, yeah, they’re garnishing my tiny unemployment payment to help pay off my ~5k of “ill-gotten gains” from my other unemployment payout. So now the only money I have coming in is: $ from my BiL $ from a contract gig I’m behind on a gig job that starts soon but will be erratic 3 art/craft holiday shows in December
Back and hip problems keep me from being able to take any kind of stand up retail job.
So if you have any leads on remote work, work in the Austin TX area, art commissions (I’m an enameler), or cat pictures, let me know.
I realize I’m not some well-known Tumblr person, just an older fan who loves hanging out here. Anything helps. Venmo: @Lillian-Butler-1.
