Freud: Yes, the good is to be chosen. And your God, who created good, or whatever that is, he must also have created the bad and the evil. He allowed Lucifer to live. He let him flourish. But, logically, he should have destroyed him. […]
Lewis: God gave Lucifer free will, which is the only thing that makes goodness possible. […] Man's suffering is the fault of man. […] It's the most difficult question of all, isn't it? If God is good, then he'd make all of his creatures perfectly happy. But we’re not. We’re not. God lacks goodness. Or power. Or both. I don’t know. […] What if God wants to perfect us through suffering? Make us realize that happiness, real happiness, eternal happiness, can only come through him. If pleasure is his whisper, pain is his megaphone. […]
Freud: I'm afraid I cannot agree with you. We speak different languages. You know, you believe in revelation. Fine. I believe in science and the authority of reason. There's no common ground.
Lewis: There is also the dictatorship of pride. Why does religion make room for science, but science refuses to make room for religion?
Freud: Oh, please. You're breaking my heart. How capacious and comfortable was Galileo's soul when he told the Pope that the sun does not move around the world, but the other way?
Lewis: The stupidity of church leaders is an easy target.
Freud: Precisely! 'Cause they hide behind their ignorance. You hide behind your ignorance! I hide behind mine! We all do from time to time. So... ‘Cause we’re human.

I feel there’s almost no way that the CS Lewis vs Freud movie can be good in any objective sense, but I also think I have to see it. For old times sake.
(Do you guys know what a CS Lewis person I was? There was a book comparing the worldviews of Freud and Lewis that came out in the early 2000s and I read it over and over as a teenager. I also watched and rewatched the movie Shadowlands starring Anthony Hopkins as Lewis—and he’s going to star in this too but as Freud this time!)

I haven’t heard of this Fiction movie “Freud’s Last Session” but will certainly check it out and as I read this article on it, a couple of things are clearly Not fictional at all;
First, the fact that C. S. Lewis representing GOD and His Existence wins every argument or at very least seems to Always have the upper hand- isn’t that just like GOD! 🙌🙌🙌 And Truth be told, had this meeting of the minds actually occurred, the end result would’ve been the same or even more convincing and concrete.
And secondly, there’s the factual list of principles I always use (although sometimes laced with a bit of sarcasm and humor at the expense of the other ones trying to go toe to toe with me on GOD, Politics, Religions, Justice, Social and Economic issues) by which we can converse, debate and or discuss completely opposite beliefs, ideas and or views per our convictions, experiences and or learnings about anything but especially on GOD, specifically Jesus Being GOD vs any other thoughts or assumptions and opinions to the contrary as frustrated Freud represents the Sin Sick World. 🧐🙏🌎#REBTD😇 So read the article and principles before trying to get in the kitchen with with me 🤓 or as the old adage says “Stay out the kitchen if you can’t stand the heat.” 😜
Lewis is a Giant in Christianity and Freud is a Figment of the world’s imagination, the kind of champion character who delve into our psyche and develop a bunch of theories and hypotheses still debated today as whether it does good or more harm than good but also into the sexual aspects of us humans and in his frustrations he thought to take a few strikes at GOD - so like Jean-Paul Sartre, Stephen Hawking, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Richard Dawkins, and a long list of others heading to or in Hell just like Freud, who makes for a good challenger or contestant against GOD’s man; kinda like Goliath vs David or all them put together like all the false prophets and Elijah. And we all know how those accounts turned out. 🤣🤣🤣

Goode Kisses
It's weird job being an actor - you have to kiss a lot of people - here are a few of Matthew Goode's kisses for you to identify. 54 of them 😂 I've added in some iconic wrist kiss action - oh and one kiss that was most definitely NOT good. Not good at all. Just to test you 😉.
I'm not around much for the next week - away for work. Back soon.

Matthew is in a staring contest with a stuffed bird, as you do. We will never know who won 🤷🏻‍♀️. Although he looks quite smiley so I would say Matthew 1 - Bird 0.

Doing a happy dance and hoping that Matthew gets his nomination at last. 💃🏼🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Pedro nominated to an Emmy and Matthew nominated to an Oscar in the same year was not in my 2023 bingo card! What a pleasant surprise!

Moore: What are you reading that’s so fascinating? The Bible?
Lewis: Yes. Have you read it?
Moore: It’s been quoted at me.
Lewis: It’s often a weapon, isn’t it?—
Moore: You don't really believe all of that, do you? That they were real?
Lewis: I believe it doesn't really matter what I think.
Moore: That's a relief, 'cause I'm sure it says right there that man should not be alone.

Behind the scenes, going over Freud’s lines.
Odd how life imitates art. This tapped into a deep personal longing to return home…
Thank you Rick Nicita, Matt Brown, Matthew Goode, Liv Lisa Fries, and the entire cast and crew.

Freud’s Last Session: C.S. Lewis [INFJ 6w7]
MBTI Type: INFJ Lewis is concerned with abstract thinking in a way Freud is not; he sees a broader perspective and intuits a lot about his debate companion over the course of the conversation simply by being present, listening, and thinking about the vital flaws in that moral argument. His interests are all academic and abstract, and focused on what things and words and beliefs mean, rather than…
