I'd love to hear other peoples thoughts on this little theory of mine. Speculation ran rampant after Horner left Williams hospitality that he might be wanting to poach Franco. But what if, considering the latest breaking news, he was there to poach Carlos instead and not to replace Checo, but Max? The Max-Carlos team up would be great, but unrealistic. But if Max were to retire, Red Bull wouldn't have anyone left that's able to carry the A-team like he has done. And the only somewhat viable option is Carlos, who's talented, young, and stable enough to be worth the investment. Plus, I remember Vowles stating just after they announced the Carlos to Williams move, that they wouldn't hold him back if a more prestigious chance opened up. Idk, I could be barking up a nonexistent tree for all I know, but somehow, this makes sense...

Imo I don’t think Carlos will go back to red bull and that Horner went there for Franco but weirder things have happened in F1

And as for Max retiring you never know, look at Rosberg, but he is still enjoying F1 so for now I think he is content

you could feel it before he even touched you. the tension in the air, building and swirling, charging the space between you and franco with every passing second. it was like you were a storm about to break, the heat of his gaze igniting the atmosphere around you.

you’d both been dancing around each other for weeks—flirty smiles, lingering touches, but always holding back just enough to keep it from spilling over. but tonight was different. tonight, the storm was inevitable, it wasn’t going to just pass like usual.

“stop playing,” franco murmured, his voice low as he caught your wrist, pulling you into him with a force that made your breath hitch, “i can see right through you.”

your lips twitched into a grin, fluttering your lashes at him to add to your teasing. “can you?”

“yes,” he leaned down, his mouth brushing against your ear, “you want me, just as badly as i want you.”

you bit your lip, trying to fight off the heat flooding your body. "maybe," you teased in a sing-song voice, letting your fingers trace the line of his jaw.

franco's eyes darkened, his grip tightening as his lips crashed onto yours. it wasn’t soft, not the way it had been before. this kiss was raw, filled with hunger and urgency, like he had been waiting for this moment. just like you had. his hands were everywhere—gripping your waist, pulling you closer, as if trying to feel every inch of you at once.

you moaned softly against his mouth, your body reacting to him with a need that was almost desperate. “franco…” you whispered against his lips before kissing him again, hands moving to tug at his shirt.

but he pulled away just enough to look at you, a cocky smirk playing on his lips. “patience, ah?” he teased, the storm in his eyes intensifying. “i’m not done with you yet, princesa.”

you couldn’t help the frustrated groan that slipped from your lips, “god you’re insufferable, you know that?” you huffed, eyes not leaving his stupidly handsome face.

“you love it,” he teased, his hand running up your side, fingers brushing against your soft skin, sending shivers through you. his smirk only grew at the visible reaction, fingers repeating their journey up and down.

his lips met your neck then, biting gently, teasingly, and you gasped, arching into him, your hands gripping his shoulders. you were quick to notice his erection pressing against your core, setting your body on fire all over again. “fuck– franco…”

he lifted his head, meeting your eyes with a mixture of dominance and tenderness. “i told you, cariño,” he murmured, his lips brushing against yours again. “you’re mine tonight, hm?”

you let out a soft laugh as you attempted to hold yourself together, the sound breathless and caught between desire and amusement, “is that so?”

his hands moved lower, his fingers tracing the hem of your dress. “absolutely,” he growled, his voice thick with desire. his fingers continued to move even lower, moving to cup your ass as he groped it, your hips instinctively bucking against his own at the squeeze.

you didn’t waste a moment. without warning, you pushed him back onto the bed, your body on top of his, your lips capturing his in a searing kiss that was everything—fierce, passionate, and undeniable.

and when you finally pulled back, your breaths heavy and ragged with swollen lips to go along with it, you could feel it—like the calm after the storm. the electricity in the room, the intensity, the rawness of everything that had just happened.

franco’s chest rose and fell beneath you, his hand threading through your hair as he pulled you close. “you think you can handle my storms?” he asked, voice low, his lips brushing against your ear.

you smiled, fingers tracing the lines of his chest, “i’m not scared of a little thunder, you should go the full way next time,” you murmured, leaving a plethora of soft kisses over his face.

She's only babytrapped cuz, as I've said 1000 times, Lestat was hyperaware of LOUIS' emotional/behavioral resemblance TO LESTAT'S MOTHER, GABRIELLE; and Louis' "maternal instinct," that resembled ANNE'S own excitement to be a mom.

Anne Rice is NOT saying Louis (or even Lestat!) represents her as a woman (in METAPHOR, not biology, DUH) cuz he crossdresses & gallivants around twirling his hair & flicking his limp wrists--I already discussed the effect of 18th century Franco-European dandyism on an 18th-century vampire stuck in the Rococo period (X X), where clothing is just ONE aspect of how masculinity & femininity are expressed--BY MEN.

Gender is MORE than Loustat crossdressing. Like I've said: it's misognyist to assume that everyone crossdressing is female-coded, while blatantly ignoring their BEHAVIOR--just like Nalyra said:

It's CONTEXTUAL evidence about the processes of personal growth; just like it's contextual how AR couched her shift to Lestat in direct relation to her tryna move past her maternal depression/grief via Louis. You cannot discuss one without the other, but that's all I ever see far too many ppl do: downplaying the foundational conceptualization of these characters within the books, film, and show alike; and hiding behind accusations of homophobia & misogyny rather than honestly engaging with the characters and their behavior. You wanna talk about misogyny? How about MISOGYNOIR, and how y'all don't know EFF ALL about BLACK MOTHERHOOD, and the hypermasculinization of Black gay men, to even BEGIN to fathom everything Louis represents in contrast & relation to Massa Lestat.

Cuz there's CERTAINLY a marked lack of discussion or acknowledgement about how race factors into all of this. Apparently Franco has all but been confirmed for the Red Bull seat next year. I guess I'm glad for him, but not really. That was supposed to be Daniel there. I can't be happy for anyone else. I try but it was. supposed. to. be. Daniel.

Look at it this way, nonny. The idiot who forced Daniel out of the seat because he wanted to do a trial run for 6 races flopped so INTENSELY hard that Red Bull was forced to look elsewhere. He spent so long gloating to the media that he's in the Red Bull, he trusted Helmut and he trusted whatever shit he was told, and he flopped. His career probably will never take off from this. He's never getting to be in Daniel's seat. He's never getting to be buddy buddy with Max like he wanted. He's never getting the main character edit. I think personally, while I cannot wholeheartedly support anyone like I did Daniel, Daniel would appreciate someone like Franco to take the seat than anyone like Lawson.

It will always have been Daniel's seat to me. I just tell myself I think if there's some vindication and karmic justice, it's that those who tried to fuck over Daniel the entire year by spreading rumours and making his last year a hellish experience, did not WIN.

While I would be happy for Franco (him over Lawson, anyday) It's how it ended that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

They could have allowed him the dignity and the respect to see out his career, especially because of the role he played in that team over the years.

They could have allowed him to announce it and have his family there.

At the very least, they could have told him, so he didn't have to spend what was possibly his last weekend in a sport he gave majority of his life to in that way.

They had him breaking down in the media pen, alone. Staying there until 2 am to put to rest his decade long career.

And all of it was for absolutely nothing.

For me, it's not about the fact that it ended because had to leave sometime or the other, he said himself he won't be there when he is 40. It's about how it ended.

This is, very unfortunately, going to be hard for me to stomach. 😫😒

Ps. I don't know if "nonny" is a tumblr thing, but it makes me smile when I read it.

i always got the sense he just wanted one last ride with max. if it had been the last races after summer break, i feel like daniel would have been happy to move aside. he just wanted to come home one last time. and they chose to hurt him in such a way it just. to everybody it seemed cruel. even to those who dislike him, they were like, horner's decision to do that will come back to bite him.

anyway looking at the state of red bull now, with max forcing that red bull into places it has no business being -- almost makes me glad daniel is out of that hell hole. RBR chucking him out into the singapore night like that actually put daniel into a healing forest fire, i think. you can't grow if you don't burn away the old. i think daniel is seeing it in some way, if the neck deep in bloom song choice has some meaning behind it lol. he truly has no debt to repay to RBR, and his choices in 2018 have been vindicated. it's sad how it ended. it will be sad for a while. but i think a year or so from now. it will hurt less because we'll be in daniel's next adventure era. i hope. i have hope.
