Cowboy!Luke who takes his shirt off during the summer when working on his truck, especially if you're around.
Cowboy!Luke washing his car during the summer and insists he needs you as his helper, purposely soaking you whenever he gets the chance for giggles.
Cowboy!Luke who likes to take naps with you, laying on his chest, either in the front seat or back/cargo bed, hats over your eyes.
And all this was inspired by a singular pic, but idk how you feel about the back muscles of a shirtless man in jeans cleaning out the front seats of his truck so there's the description instead. I will ALWAYS push the Cowboy!Hughes agenda ☝️😩
i giggle every time you send something new. luke would take off his shirt whenever working on a vehicle, from a busted hose to spark plugs, he’s finding an excuse to go shirtless and definitely giving you a show whenever you’re around.
as soon as the problem with the truck is fixed, he has to clean it. “what’s the point of driving a fixed truck if it’s got a little bit of mud on it?” is always his excuse, and you can’t help but to go outside with a bucket and sponge to help him out, only for him to get the water hose and spray you with it especially if you’re wearing his white shirt
imagine laying under a sunset, maybe a colter wall song playing from the speaker of his phone, and he decides to take a nap. who are you to protest? getting comfortable with your head on his chest, exhausted after a day of helping swooning over him. laying in the bed of the truck, his carhartt jacket draped over you with his cowboy hat over your eyes and a worn out yankees hat covering his eyes. nothing in the world exists besides the two of you and that moment.
back muscles are singlehandedly the most attractive on a guy, oh my gosh. imagine cowboy!luke leaning over the hood of his truck, grease and oil on his finger tips as he tries to loosen a stubborn bolt, the muscles in his back flexing every so often while you’re sitting on a spare tire a few meters away from him, absolutely entranced by every move he makes, and he knows it.
i absolutely love your mind. literally paused from my fortnite to reply to this.

As much as I like some of the art of MtG’s new sets, it feels like it’s lost it’s visual language in favor of feeding the same Wizards nu-fantasy pseudorealism algorithm through whichever genre tropes will convince the largest number of FunkoPop owners to buy the precons. I miss when MtG had its own art style, all dark and grungy and gothic, and Innistrad and Scars of Mirrodin were chock full of the most uniquely captivating abominations; there was something different there, something special and interesting to explore, but the siren song of vertically integrated crossover vehicles has entranced company and consumer alike. Every piece of media has to be Fortnite now, figuratively and literally, because too many people can be entertained by brand names in much the same manner as a baby by jingling car keys and too many companies have realized how easily these fools and their money may be parted.

The people who are upset about TOTK winning an award simply because they don’t like how the storyline went in comparison to BOTW clearly do not understand how many insane things TOTK was able to accomplish as a game.
Yes, I do agree that it feels more like a spinoff than a continuation, but that doesn’t remove the fact that it brought us into a more creative and interesting way of playing the game. Exploring TWO new entire worlds (Skies and Depths), creating our own builds (machines, vehicles, weapons etcs), and meeting new characters. It was still a fantastic game and the fact that Zelda Lore nitpickers continue to sweep these feats under the rug because of it’s inconsistency with the last game is just ridiculous imo.
I personally haven’t finished the game because I get distracted easily (and Fortnite exists) but in the 120+ hours I played I had an amazing experience.
This game deserved an award for the work that was put into adding to the masterpiece that was BOTW. It deserved an award for all it had to do, for the hours and hours of gameplay it holds. Not to mention the customizability. No matter what you think of it’s story, this game deserves it’s award.
#it just gets annoying because it is a very well done game#MY OPINION BTW#sorta rant#totk#beanie blabs

g1-style silly show in the modern day where the tfs have social media:
Hound has a youtube where he posts videos of animals and trees that he thinks are cool (most are completely ordinary but ppl like his channel anyway bc he brings a whimsy to the ordinary that’s very charming)
Jazz also has a youtube where his videos are edited in cool ways and he’s got a travel vlog type vibe. He loves to talk to street musicians and check out festivals and stuff. Other autobots regularly guest star on his shenanigans
Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are streamers. They do fortnite and valorant and occasionally react to stuff. Suntreaker does tier lists of Earth vehicles (very few make A or S lol). Sunny also has an instragram and very occasionally he’ll post his art but mostly its nice selfies or silly pictures of Sideswipe
Skywarp, Rumble, and Frenzy film pranks on each other and on the other decepticons and also do reaction stuff bc ppl love seeing aliens react to classic Earth culture. They also read Thundercracker’s terrible fan fiction and film his reaction when he hunts them down for revenge
Soundwave makes ten hour videos on youtube of weird sounds (like space noise and the sound of microwaves (the energy not the appliance)). Ppl think its weird asmr.
Blaster is also on youtube and he makes playlists and helps produce for indie and growing artists. He’s also got a vlog channel about the happenings on the Ark (he could film it professionally but he likes an amateur-ish look to it)
(Soundwave tries to sabotage Blaster’s youtube which results in Blaster and Jazz teaming up to get back at him. The rivalry has developed a noisy and invested audience whom Soundwave will occasionally nuke the accounts of when he thinks theyre being too annoying)
Prowl runs the official autobot twitter and that’s the only social media he uses (Jazz has tried to get him on others but Prowl consistently refuses so Jazz just makes him a constant on his own platforms) (actually he might get on reddit occasionally to be pedantic)
Wheeljack and Ratchet have a loosely myth busters vibed youtube where they showcase Wheeljack’s latest invention. They have a lot of scientists in their comment section losing their goddamn minds as the laws of physics are regularly flouted but they also have a good chunk of viewers there for the explosions. Ratchet also does videos of caring for cars that are filmed the same way as middle aged men who do the same sort of video
Optimus, surprisingly, has exactly zero social media presence except for when he appears on somebody else’s thing or if he’s on the news for some reason (like doing a volunteer thing at middle schools or after dealing with a crisis, manmade or decepticon). This is because he knows he’ll get in roast fights on twitter and get himself in trouble with Prowl (and also if Megatron learns he has a social media he’ll never get any peace again)
oh and Megatron definitely has a twitter where he yells at human politicians and talks smack against trolls. He’s blocked by like half the platform while the other half watch in morbid fascination as he gets his ass handed to him by basically anyone with a spine to backtalk him (Soundwave is sent to nuke or hack the accounts of ppl who piss Megatron off too much. he also sends them mean prank stuff in retaliation, which the trolls actually view as a badge of honor)
i could probably continue but i wont rn lol

Let's Talk About Fortnite's Big New Update
It's been about a week since Fortnite added its three new main modes, so I figured I could jot down some notes about how I feel about each one, since I continue to play an absolute obscene amount of this game, given it's basically the only live service game I've ever connected with.
Lego Fortnite
This is maybe the biggest new mode added to the game, and at a glance, you might think it's their take on Minecraft. Having put about 10-20 hours into it now, I can tell you it's a lot more like Valheim, sprinkled with a bit of Terraria. It's a survival game, where your goal is to start a town out in the procedurally generated wilderness. As your town levels up in size and complexity, you attract NPCs to take up residence, which you can put to work gathering resources, manage farms, cook food, or party up to help you explore the world and raid various caves.
There's enough content here to support that 10-20 hours, but you'll eventually run out of things to do, given there's just three biomes and only a handful of creatures. Updates are already promising things like merchants, more creatures and even quest givers, so it definitely feels like it has legs, and I think what's here plays well enough. It just feels more like a foundation right now. This is one of those things where, like, it may be worth checking in on 6 months down the road, because there's a lot of potential it could grow into. And hey, it's the only one of these modes that doesn't have any additional fees hooked on top of it yet. That's a plus.
Rocket Racing
Created by Psyonix, this is a racing mode that's a little hard to quantify. The actual racing mechanics themselves are solid: drift to charge up three levels of boost, with a kind of "active reload" system that can almost double your boost if you hit it just right. There's a jump button, and your jump jets can be used to hover over hazards. After you jump, you can also use the drift button to perform a flip in four directions, because your car can also drive up walls and across the ceiling. So, if you jump, push up on the stick, and then tap the drift key, you'll flip up on to the ceiling. Despite all of this mechanical complexity, Rocket Racing still feels too simple to have much lasting power. Some of the fun of a racing game is how everyone tunes their vehicles differently, but so far there's just the the one Rocket Racing car.
Epic and Psyonix could be going for more of a Trackmania feel, and user-generated tracks (the main appeal of Trackmania) are something they're teasing for Rocket Racing, but it's worth mentioning that Trackmania has always seemed kind of niche. It's never had the success of something like Forza Horizon or even Need for Speed.
This also has one major strike against it that Trackmania does not: you collide with other players in Rocket Racing, which is actually sort of a nightmare thanks to network latency. I've run into a lot of shockingly aggressive opponents that treat the game like bumper cars, and every time they crash into you, it's like rolling the dice as to whether or not the collision will actually register. Sometimes your opponent harmlessly slides off the side of your car, and other times the most gentle tap will send you into a tailspin. I wouldn't call the mode terrible, but judging by Fortnite's own menu system, player numbers are dropping fast. It's cool being able to flip around between walls and the ceiling, but there's not enough to sink your teeth into long-term besides overpriced vehicle cosmetics.
Fortnite Festival
This is literally just Rock Band 5. The main change is the way you play notes -- there's no plastic instrument support yet (that's coming later, apparently), so you're limited to playing it on either a keyboard or a gamepad. The way the buttons are mapped out by default, there are certain combinations of notes they are never going to make you press together, because it's impossible to hit both left and right on the d-pad simultaneously. Besides that, I'm not kidding, it's actually just Rock Band, and unfortunately I'm one of those people who struggles to connect with rhythm games.
I love something like Parappa the Rapper or even Theatrhythm, but I just don't connect with a lot of the genre in the same way most people do. This version does at least connect to Fortnite's cosmetics system, so you can have Michael Myers singing vocals in Gangnam Style, backed up by Beast Boy and Ellen Ripley wearing a Ghostbusters proton pack. During downtime where you might not have any notes to play, you're given the option to use your Fortnite emotes. That's fun enough on its own, but it's extra fun on skins with transformation abilities. Going back to Beast Boy, it's fun to watch the camera pan by him in his regular Teen Titans attire, only for him to suddenly be a bass-playing gorilla the next time you see him.
Also included are "Jam Tracks", which let you play specific pieces of songs outside of the Rock Band mode. So if you want, during a Battle Royale match, you could start playing the bassline to Seven Nation Army at any time, anywhere, and even change the pitch and tempo. Other players can choose to join in, adding vocal tracks, or lead guitar, or drums, all from different songs, creating a strange sort of on-the-fly mashup. It's not super deep, but I suppose it's there to justify the fact that songs in Fortnite Festival are roughly $5 each. Festival also has its own Battle Pass, at $18 -- almost twice what the Battle Royal Pass costs, and unlocking stuff on the Festival Pass feels like the slowest possible grind. Too many Festival quests only give 10 or 15 "points" towards the pass, when you often need THOUSANDS for the next unlock. Kind of a bummer!
Battle Royale
As a bonus, some commentary on the current chapter of BR: as of this latest iteration of Fortnite, it feels like they've basically rebooted the entire game. If you've been paying attention to industry news, Epic's had quite the exodus of high-ranking staff lately, leaving me with a feeling that a completely different team is handling Fortnite now. Every piece of the gameplay has been retooled seemingly overnight, from healing systems to movement speed. The best way to sum it all up is that it feels a lot more like PUBG now. But like, worse? Weapons have attachments now, foregrips and sights and stuff, but there's no way to pull a sight off one gun and put it on another. You can only buy attachments at a workbench, of which there's only, like, seven on the entire map.
So generally you're stuck with whatever attachments are already on a gun when you find it, and there's no easy way to compare attachments if you want to swap for something else. The previous system -- which was basically just WoW's rarity system -- was a lot clearer and easy to understand. A purple gun is always better than blue. Now those waters are a lot muddier, and you don't have access to the information you need to make informed decisions about what is better than what. The simplicity that made Fortnite more accessible than PUBG is gone now. The other changes just take some getting used to, but the slower movement does mean running from a closing storm circle is a lot harder in a way that feels like nobody on the team really understood or accounted for.
The main issue is that Battle Royale is still trying to be the "spotlight" mode in Fortnite right now, which means its trying to incorporate a little bit of everything and it's hurting the experience. The new cosmetics locker system is a total nightmare to use, more tedious in every single conceivable way, to such a degree it's hard to comprehend anyone actually thinking it's a legitimate improvement. Fortnite also tries to pull in your Rocket Racing cosmetics to BR now, but only for certain vehicles, which in itself taps into a long standing frustration with Fortnite's handling of vehicle cosmetics overall.
Close to five years ago, Fortnite introduced its "wraps" system for guns that work like liveries in a racing game -- basically a custom texture for your gun. Wraps have inconsistently applied to other things as well. Fortnite's earliest vehicles like the golf kart and quadbike accepted wraps, as did boats. There are even skins now that can wear wraps as clothing patterns.
But cars could never have wraps applied to them. There were hints that maybe wraps would eventually apply to vehicles, as there were updates where they started appearing on pieces of a vehicle, but never the whole thing. Now we finally get vehicle cosmetics, but it only applies to one vehicle type, and transforms it into a completely different car body? It feels half-baked and deeply arbitrary.
Fortnite has often had many different vehicle classes on the map together, between pickups, sports cars, sedans, and hauler trucks. But now the sports cars are the Rocket Racing car? It's cool on the surface, but a strange portent of future seasons. What of the other vehicle types? They're not in the game right now, but will they be? Will sports cars be a permanent fixture of the Fortnite map going forward, so the cosmetics always carry across between modes? Is this a hint that other vehicle types are coming to Rocket Racing, and that eventually, we'll be able to apply cosmetics to everything?
Which is to say nothing about the fact that wraps don't even seem to apply to guns anymore. There's a lot of systems that hook into wraps that they can't just get rid of -- but it definitely seems like whoever is in charge of things right now is trying to find a way to ignore them, starting with the core functionality they were invented for.
Like a lot of things about what's happening to Battle Royale in Chapter 5, it feels super weird, and very divorced from the Fortnite I used to know and enjoy. Their attempts to try and tie everything together like this so that Battle Royale can have elements of all (or most) of the other modes incorporated into it just don't mesh very well or feel very necessary. They're recreating and then solving problems that were already solved four years ago.
Which is ultimately the bummer: I'm not sold that any of this needs to be inside of Fortnite, and I don't think it's going to pay off in the end. It's hurting the core experience a little bit and the best, most fun new modes would have still been fun as standalone games.
I just don't see the point. How big is big enough, Epic?

Watch Out For Those Cars 🎮🚗👀 #shorts #fortnite #gaming #games #esports #comedy #memes #funny #lol
In Fortnite's dynamic and ever-evolving world, the introduction of drivable cars added a thrilling new dimension to gameplay. These vehicles, which range from speedy sports cars to rugged trucks, not only provide faster travel across the map but also serve as powerful tools for both offense and defense. However, players must stay vigilant, as cars can quickly become dangerous weapons in the hands of opponents. Whether being used to ram through structures or run over unsuspecting players, the presence of cars demands constant awareness. In the heat of battle, a well-timed car maneuver can turn the tide, making it crucial to "Watch Out for Those Cars" as you navigate Fortnite's intense battlegrounds.

Everything You Need To Know About Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-fortnite-chapter-5-season-3/
Everything You Need To Know About Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3
A new season of Fortnite is now live, and it brings Fallout, Magneto, plenty of nitrous oxide, and some Mad Max-esque flair to the battle royale. Titled “Wrecked,” Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3 follows last season’s Greek Gods-themed season with a new battle pass, new weapons and skins, and more.
“A ferocious sandstorm recently moved over the Island, creating a new biome in the south dubbed the wasteland,” an Epic Games blog post reads. “The ‘Wasteland Warriors’ have already called shotgun on owning the place (they did ride in with the sandstorm, after all). This crew moves as fast as their decked-out cars, proven by the places they’ve already established.”
We’ll break down those new locations and more below.
Everything You Need To Know About Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3 – Wrecked
Let’s start with the battle pass. It features some newly made characters by Epic Games, known as original skins within the Fortnite community, and some collaboration skins in the form of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic Fallout series and infamous X-Men villain, Magneto.
Check out all the skins in the battle pass below:
New Points of Interest
One of the first new points of interest, or map locations, is Redline Rig. It’s a Nitro refinery run by The Machinist, the Wasteland Warriors’ master mechanic who is also available in the battle pass.
Also in the south of the island is Nitrodrome. Here, Ringmaster Scarr, who is available in the battle pass, runs the circus-like car spectacle known as the Nitrodrome.
From the Nitrodrome, you can easily reach Brutal Beachhead. Here, Megalo Don is the person in charge. He’s the Wasteland Warriors’ “master muscle,” according to the blog post, and taking him on won’t be easy.
Epic says there are other changes to locations on the map, though. For example, Snooty Steppes is now Sandy Steppes.
Going Nitro
Across the Island, you’ll find Nitro Splash and Nitro Barrels, both from Redline Rig. Nitro Splash is a portable version of a Nitro container, which you can throw down to infuse you or your car with Nitro for a fiery boost. Nitro Barrels are Nitro containers that “Nitro-fy” on contact, and when you hit them, they’ll fly away and explode on landing.
Here’s how Nitro works in Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3 – Wrecked:
Vehicles that are Nitro-fied get a driving speed increase, explosive ramming power that deals damage and knockback, fuel consumption decrease, and a buff to attached attack mods.
Players that are Nitro-fied get a movement speed increase, explosive bashing power that deals damage and knockback (and it can bust through builds), a stamina consumption decrease, a reload speed increase, and fall damage immunity.
New Weapons And More
One of the new additions to the Battle Royale fight are the Nitro Fists, which allow you to perform a three-punch combo, uppercut, or aerial punch that dashes you through the air.
Nitro Fists have four charges, and each charge recharges every eight seconds. The uppercut and aerial punch use one charge each, while the three-punch combo uses none. If you aerial punch the ground instead of the air, “the impact will be meteoric to surrounding enemies,” Epic writes in the blog post.
The Boom Bolt is a new fast-firing, moddable crossbow that fires explosive bolts. A few shots can take down a vehicle, Epic says.
Returning weapons include:
Cerberus’ Gatekeeper Shotgun
Combat Shotgun
Gatekeeper Shotgun
Hammer Pump Shotgun
Oscar’s Frenzy Auto Shotgun
Warforged Assault Rifle
Tactical Assault Rifle
Enforcer AR
Thunder Burst SMG
Harbinger SMG
Huntress DMR
Ranger Pistol
Hand Cannon
Shockwave Grenade
There are some new ways to fortify your vehicles in Fortnite now, too, because mods are back. Here’s what to expect:
Machine Gun Turret (roof slot)
Grenade Launcher Turret (roof slot)
Spiked Bumpber (front bumper slot)
Cow Catcher (front bumper slot)
Bulletproof Tires (tires slot)
Chonkers Off-Road Tires (tires slot)
All you need to do to equip a new mod is hit a Vehicle Mod Box and one will automatically attach to your vehicle. You can tell which mod you’ll get based on the symbol on the box, too.
You can repair your vehicle and its mods with the new Repair Torch or Repair Boxes, which are scattered around the map. Plus, Service Stations have replaced gas pumps, allowing you to refill your vehicle’s gas and health while parked on a station pad.
Joining the vehicle roster is the new Behemoth Car Body, which is an SUV vehicle.
Outside of weapons and vehicle fortifications, there’s the Nuka-Cola, which restores a bit of health (over time) and shield.
And there’s also the Kind Cacti, which gives players (and vehicles) a splash of healing when pickaxed or driven through.
New Bosses
The Machinist will drop The Machinist’s Medallion upon her defeat. This medallion generates your shield over time. If you defeat her inside Redline Rig, you can also use this medallion to open the garage holding her car. Regardless of where you defeat her, she drops The Machinist’s Combat Assault Rifle.
Defeating Ringmaster Scarr nets you the Ringmaster Scarr’s Medallion, giving you infinite ammo and a small damage buff. Defeat her in the Nitrodrome to open the garage holding her car. Regardless of where you defeat her, she’ll drop the Ringmaster’s Boom Bolt.
And finally, defeating Megalo Don gives you the Megalo Don’s Medallion, which will infuse you with infinite Nitro. Plus, defeating him gives you Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists.
And that’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 3 – Wrecked.
Are you excited about this new season? Let us know in the comments below!

Fortnite's "Creative 2.0" launched a day or two ago, which is the newest form that game's creative mode has taken. It was originally born as a "Playground" mode that let you explore the Battle Royale map with others, free of timer restrictions, and to build without limits.
Playground Mode then got split between a new "Battle Lab" and "Creative Mode." Creative gave you several blank templates to build your own (relatively small) island and a handful of Mario-Maker-esque machines to place within them in order to build very rudimentary game types. Battle Lab, just to be clear, was still the BR map, but largely just for exploration purposes only. It was phased out in the lead up to the launch of Chapter 4.
Creative 2.0 takes the framework established in the old Creative mode and just lets you use Unreal Editor to make and publish maps. Instead of awkwardly manipulating literal, physical blocks of land using the in-game tools (think Garry's Mod), now you make maps basically using the same software used to create the game in the first place.
Obviously this blows the doors wide open for more complex and dynamic user-generated maps and is another step in the transformation of Fortnite becoming the next Roblox.
And one of the very first things people did with these tools was port over one of the first versions of the Fortnite map. And even in the state it's in right now, it's pretty interesting to see it all here again, almost exactly as I remembered it.
There have been a number of attempts to recreate the original Battle Royale map in Creative mode, but the limitations of the tech were just too much. The old Creative mode was very static and tile-based. There were no terrain tools to speak of, and you were largely stuck using the objects provided by Epic. Which, considering Chapter 1 predated most of Creative mode, meant a lot of things just aren't entirely there, and if they are, they don't work quite the same way they should.
With the new tools, "Atlas Original" aims to not just recreate the old map, but seemingly port it directly from the old files into the new Creative Mode. All the terrain, buildings, all of it is here.
Which is the problem. Creative Mode has limits. Always has, and probably always will. It has to run on PC, PS5, Xbox SX, but also PS4, Xbox One, mobile phones, and even the Nintendo Switch. As such, there are hard memory restrictions Creative mode maps have to abide by. Epic has toyed with how Creative works to give users more space to build bigger maps, but the complete Chapter 1 map obviously slams into those limits pretty hard.
To some degree, I wonder why they even bothered. My very first match on "Atlas OG" dropped me into the starter lobby island already deep in the storm with dozens of other players. With no guns and no way to exit the starter island, everyone just ran around until they died to the storm.
Loading into a private match where I could run around the island presented me with a game mode that was only broadly functional. Though the map is all there, the minimap is more or less non-functional.
The mode opens with a cutscene of the bus approaching the island, after which you are automatically dropped near Loot Lake and must glide to a destination from there. The problem is: the moment you drop, the storm circle is already shrinking. Even if you wanted to visit a place like Moisty Mire, it will already be well covered by the storm by the time you get there. There are just some places you'll probably never get to explore.
Which leads to the next problem: these "Classic Map" recreations always dedicate themselves extra hard to replicating all of old Fortnite's quirks, like disabling vehicles, sprinting, and mantling. Creative mode has let you selectively turn those features off for months (or in some cases, years), but for whatever reason, this "Atlas OG" map does it in a strange way that's guaranteed to glitch out. I instinctively sprint and mantle now, and you can see the animations for these actions trigger, but they often lead to bugged animations and jerky movement.
It's also surprisingly challenging getting around this map. More than any of the other Fortnite chapters, the Chapter 1 map here was clearly and intentionally designed for build mode. There are a lot of attics and upper floors where the only way you'll ever reach them is to build a ramp up. It's incredibly hard to shake the modern Fortnite reflex of just mantling up everything here, especially considering how badly the animation glitches out. It wants to let you mantle, but you just can't do it out of an arbitrary dedication to "classic" gameplay. And I'm of the mind Fortnite definitely plays better today than it used to.
You'll also occasionally find buildings that aren't all there. You get a custom pop-up upon loading in to "Atlas OG" that some things had to be disabled to squeeze under the memory limit, and that makes sense. It's pretty hard to notice, really. The main thing that seems to be missing is the grass, featuring only the flat texture normally hidden underneath.
Really, this long post was just a way for me to setup and explain how weird it is to be able to run around this map again, and how much of it I find myself remembering. I played very little of Fortnite in Chapter 1. Battle Royales were so chaotic and dangerous feeling that it was hard to shake the paralyzing fear they filled me with. Fortnite was something I poked at only occasionally when an interesting story event would shake up the look of the island, but it would be YEARS before I landed my first kill, and longer before I could stand to play it for more than a couple rounds at a time.
And yet... I remember the tree I hid under, where I got 2nd place for my first time. I remember dropping on the farm for Halloween, where spooky floodlights and fake spider webs really sold the mood. I remember how the map felt so hand crafted that you could tell each and every rock and tree was deliberately placed, because so many of them were arranged in specific patterns. I remember how being out on Loot Lake was a death trap, especially with the storm coming in.
And it's just... weird. To see all of this again. And to remember parts of it so clearly, and to see how much Fortnite as a game has evolved from this.
And, um. I didn't think it'd take me so long to say that. Really, this map should just be functioning more as a museum than something they expect you to shoot other players on. I know they could completely disable the storm if they want to, and the map in its current state would be a lot better for that.
If you feel like fighting against how weird the initial beta version of this Chapter 1 map restoration, punch in island code 2179-7822-3395.

I think its really funny that in Fortnite, a Weapon wrap is shown by default on boats, a Vehicle that not only hasnt existed in any version of the map for 2 years now actually but also becuase like, Most wraps clearly are not made to look good on boats at all (side note, Docks also still have fuel pumps for boats for some reason to this day??)
Like what is thiss
Why isnt this the default, its clearly what its intended foor it kinda baffles me. This isnt even the new lockers fault, its been like this in the old locker UI too

Ok so if a doctor who fortnite crossover actually happens heres my wishlist:
Skins:
15th (of course)
4th (the most iconic arguably)
11th (this one’s just one I want to see)
10th (he doesn’t like guns but if more doctors are added its basically a forgone conclusion as much as I would prefer 11)
A cyberman
Back Bling:
K-9
Tardis
Mr Handles
Harvesting tool:
7th’s umbrella
A pickaxe made of dalek parts
Gliders:
Tardis
Dalek
New item:
I think instead of a harvesting tool, the sonic screwdriver should be an item ingame. If you use it on a vehicle for a second or 2, the vehicle becomes inactive like it’s been hit with an emp. It can also break through stealth camo items. And to justify the fact that it will likely be a legendary item, if you scan an area with it you can see chests through walls.
I thought at first that maybe it could also drain shield, But honestly I think an item thats more of a utility fits the sonic screwdriver’s role in the show more.

The new season of Fortnite feels so fucking good, and I think it's actually because they removed a lot of content.
So if you don't know, Epic is doing something called "Fortnite OG" where for this month, they revert Fortnite back to what it was like in 2018. Augments are gone. Skate lines are gone. Motorcycles are gone. Shock hammers are gone. Swords are gone. Fishing is gone. NPCs are gone. Gold is gone. Loot bunkers and keys are gone. Vehicles (except for the shopping and golf carts) are gone. Everything that Fortnite added over the years to speed up gameplay and add depth is gone.
We're back on the old map, which had smaller locations, and less loot. Healing items are rarer, and all require time to consume. The weapon and item pool is significantly smaller. The only vehicle is the golf cart, which is slow and unwieldy compared to other vehicles.
And yet, this is still their most popular recent update, by far. Even days after the update dropped, I still get put in a queue when trying to log in during peak hours. And I don't think it's because of nostalgia, I think the slower paced gameplay of the earlier seasons is objectively better. No more splash heals and less movement items means fights no longer get dragged out into wars of attrition. The C4 and RPG allow for ways to counter insane builds. Epic and Legendary tier weapons are actually rare now, and it's more rewarding to find one. The zone is an actual threat again, and you can't instantly rotate from one side of the map to the other.
This season made me realize that I actually much prefer Fortnite when it has a slower pace. And that makes me sad, because there is no way Epic is going to keep the game in this state for longer than a month. They spent hundreds of millions of dollars developing the game with all these new mechanics, and even adding it as an additional, officially supported gamemode would segregate their playerbase again, which I'm sure they don't want.
I'm going to play a lot of Fortnite this week, and think about game design. I encourage you to do the same.
