And relatedly, I don’t demonize incremental change because in my view if you can help some people you should even if you aren’t able to help absolutely everyone you wanted to, you have a moral obligation to at a minimum help those you can and continue the fight for everyone else the next day. These things are not incompatible with progressive policy goals or values, and yet to the online left, those views make me an evil neoliberal etc etc. It never ceases to amaze me.
