I think vic's take on protective is a very nice flavor of protective because its not an all outright "oh if they even look at you wrong I'm gonna kill them >:(" its more of a "if they're going to hurt you I will be there to protect you. We're a team in this and if someone's coming after you, they are coming after me" which is kinda refreshing in a very extreme-ish trope based media world we live in
