I've been into little Free libraries lately and some of them have little pantries. So I got the dry goods from the pantries and made non perishable meals and gave them back.

The steward really loves this idea since she is intimidated by dry good. If you had a lot of rice and beans and couldn't think if something fun, yeah, maybe it would be intimidating too.

I love the thought of Little Free Libraries/Pantries. It makes me want to make my own and donate to the community. It just cost money (like everything) but I'll be slowly saving so I can make my own! And maybe even put some dog treats in it, for the dog walkers.

“Prisoners-of-War Food Box Packing Plant Opened,” Windsor Star. October 9, 1942. Page 3. ---- CANADA'S fourth prisoner-of-war food box packing plant held a preview this morning. It is at 456 Goyeau street in the former sales room of the General Motors Buick-Pontiac division. The Windsor plant is a model for the whole country, national and international, Red Cross authorities agreed when they saw it in action. Hundreds of Windsor women will work at the assembly lines in the big plant. The output will be 20,000 boxes per week; 20 tons of food will go into them. This brings Canada's output of boxes to 80,000 weekly. At top is a scene at the assembly line with Windsor women at the different jobs of placing one item each in the box. A specially constructed box holds just the right amount of food for a prisoner for one week. The boxes are packed much the same as a car is assembled in a big auto plant. Spaghetti Bolognese

Heat 1 tablesppoon of the oil in a large frying pan. Add mince and cook until just lightly browned, drain in colander to remove excess fat.

Put the remainder (1/2 tablespoon) of the oil in the pan and add onion, bacon and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add the drained mince back inot the pan and cook for a further 3 minutes, or until well browned.

Add the soup, stock, wine, ketchup or paste, bay leaf and oregano. Bring to the boil.

Add salt and pepper to taste (if desired).

Reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve over cooked spaghetti and top with parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley.

Serve with crusty fresh bread or garlic bread.

Jason, Red Hood, decided to put on a brave front despite no doubt cursing in his head and wondering how the heck did this thing know his full freaking name.

"Whose asking." he snarled out, his hands twitching for his gun when the huge glowing knight with purple flames coming out of his helmet and cape, who was riding on a nightmare looking horse while they all had been in the cave going over tonight's patrol.

The Knight didn't seemed bothered by his response nor did he even seem to care or flinch when Batman made his own demand on 'Why was he there and who was he' or when Damian unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards him. Instead the strange glowing Knight reached to it side and pulled out... A glowing scroll? Huh. (Also he completely unnerved everyone in the room when the Knight didn't even react when Batman had tossed a Baterang when he reached for his side)

The Knight opened the scroll and spoke clearly with purpose.
