I try my damn near hardest to avoid shipcourse on this blog. However, I have so many qualms with the anti side of things that I need to say something.

If your first inclination after seeing someone explore fiction is to call them a pedophile (as an insult, no less!), abuse enabler, and/or urge your followers to mass report them, you are a problem. Maybe it's because I grew up during the golden days of fandoms, where ship and let ship was the norm and not whatever this shit is, but it's bizarre to see people get cancelled for being a proshipper. I just don't have it in me to care about what people do to that fictional child. It's none of my business.

I've noticed a trend from antis of anything: anti radqueers, antishippers, anti hazbin/helluva etc, and it is that their arguments are extremely self centered. 'It's romanticizing MY abuse/trauma/condition!' as if that stranger on the other side of the screen couldn't possibly have similar trauma etc and copes with it differently. "It triggers ME!" then don't actively seek out that material and get mad at the creator. It's a 'me! me! me!' mindset.

See, me personally? I don't care if someone makes and romanticizes a fic that capitalizes on my trauma. I don't care what reason they have, either; whether it's to cope with their own trauma or to simply have fun, I do not care. No amount of harassment from a bunch of teenagers can change the fact that I don't care, and the fact that there are others OLDER THAN ME, someone who will be 19 in July, who condone and enforce anti views is terrible.

Creative freedom shouldn't even be a debate or discourse situation. People need to grow the hell up and get over themselves.

If you’re a trans pick-me (no matter where you align with gender) there’s a special place in Hell just for you & I don’t even believe in Hell. The original follows the book pretty religiously, and my only major "Why wouldn't you get into that more???" part is glossed over in the novel too (Is everyone just ignoring the fact that- for no significant reason because they have other ways of seeing Payu- Sky humored Rain's boner to the point where he reached out to the man who facilitated his gangrape- presumably for the first time since then- just to ask about some stupid fucking race??? I wish tumblr had a mute account feature so you dont have to block someone. they can still see your posts, interact with you, and show up in your notifications, but they don't show up on your dash/for you/tags page.

there's this one person I don't follow and also doesn't follow me who narrates their daily life and their posts show up on my for you page every day. like 10 of them a day. I keep hitting "not interested in this post" and they show up again 5 posts down. I have never interacted with their posts outside of that even once so I don't understand why they keep appearing. i don't want to block because they did nothing wrong. but their long posts about their life multiple times a day when I dont care are very annoying. tumblr. stop showing them to me!

also, a mute feature would mean I can complete mutuals with nice people so they feel good and not think I hate them or something, especially if they want to be friends. then I don't have to see their posts if all they post about is stuff I don't like/care about. i'm trying to make tumblr my "happy place" where I can escape all the bad things in the world and my life and look at pictures of my narrow special interests to try to convince my brain there's still good in the world

If anybody were to ask me why I'm a combat medic in a game I like but also hate (total 50/50 love hate for this game there's no compromise to either side) as matchmade players expect me to resurrect them with ease every time knowing that the game's mechanics of how my ult works to it's humanly possible maximum efficiency, still cannot keep up with nearly ANY player being in the area of Only Gonks And Showboats go to die (where enemies spawn, which is opposite/adjacent of wherever the builder is)
