Yesterday I had the craziest variety of crafts in my day.

I did punch needle and traditional embroidery. I crocheted quite a bit. I sewed some. I did jewelry crafting to make some wine glass charms and stitch markers. And I bought a hand crank cord knitting machine and made a few knit cords.

Amidst all that, I went for a really nice hike on a trail with a stream, but that was cut short by a big snake in the trail I didn't want to bother.

Former Skunk Ape Champion Deanna Doane has broken the Florida Trail FKT with 19 days, 12 hours, and 13 minutes! What an incredible feat covering 1,500 miles of federally designated trail beginning at Big Cypress National Preserve and ending at Gulf Islands National Seashore.

The previous record was held by Hunter Leininger with 21 days, 11hours, and 8 minutes.

Here at Skunk Ape, congratulations! Deanna has won the Skunk Ape’s Revenge 30k in 2024 and the 60k in 2022. She’s also holds the womens course record for the Skunk Ape Night Run winning in 2023 and 2021!
