New Bloom Chronicles — Sailing Through Lens Pt. 2

Once you've started the quest Sailing Through Lens from Ginona in front of the White Jade, you'll want to head inside of the ship to take the pictures that she requested.

Inside of the White Jade, you'll be looking for three specific things to take pictures with. Just like with other photoshoot quests, make sure that the orange box appears around the object that must be included in the shot.

The photo requirements for this quest are:

Take a photo of the plants in the White Jade cabin

Take a photo of the tea sets in the White Jade cabin

Take a photo of the light fixtures in the White Jade cabin

Rewards: Diamond x40, Shining Particles x40, Bling x24,000

#1 — Take a photo of the plants in the White Jade cabin

There are plants found all inside of the cabin, but the ones in the outer hallways I found to not produce the orange box that is needed. Make sure that the plant you take a picture with inside of the cabin produces the orange box, so try to stick with the ones found in the main hall. The picture below was taken at the front after you walk in.

#2 — Take a photo of the tea sets in the White Jade cabin

There are tea sets in the very front part of the cabin to the left and right when you enter.

#3 — Take a photo of the light fixtures in the White Jade cabin

The light fixtures are lining the main hall.

Once you're finished taking the required pictures, you'll be prompted by Momo to go back to the dock and talk to Ginona.

Infinity Nikki is doing me in right now. There's a quest tied to the Lunar New Year seasonal event where you're trying to find out about a long-ago figure in Florawish who might be the ancestor of several different people in town. Okay, sure, with you so far. But here's the thing:

All you know is a first name. This name is Mark. This is about the most hilariously mundane choice they could have made in a fantasy game. Behold, my ancient ancestor...MARK.

He's supposed to have lived 800 years ago and somehow everybody's got a story about him. My dudes, I have a painstakingly researched family tree file with over 20,000 people in it, 500 years back is the best I can do, and that far back, we're mostly talking vital stats about birth, marriage, kids, and death, because those are the most likely things to get documented. I don't have folksy frickin' anecdotes. And if your family claims to, trust me, somebody's lying.

Anyway. Y'know. It's a fantasy game. Very, very fantastical. I should let things like this go.

Things like stories about ancestor Mark.

So I've seen it generally accepted that Nonoy in the game is 14/15. I know this is because Nonoy's birthday records stop at 14, but I disagree!

Nonoy is the intern Dream Warehouse Keeper, a job she takes very seriously and is clearly trusted with. During the wish festival, you can see her going as far as the Swan Gazebo to collect wishes for the Warehouse, and from the main quest where we meet her we know that she's the one responsible for repairing and maintaining the Great Crane

(we also know she's adept at tinkering with machines, but thats not evidence to the point im making here)

All of this, to me, shows that she's probably closer to Nikki's age. I don't know what the school system is like in Florawish/Wishfield, but I imagine Nonoy's through school and fully into the workforce now. Same as Marques Jr, which would put both of them at 18/19, same with Nikki (who is/had graduated at the start of the story)

The birthday records, I never felt like they showed how old she was so much as showed her connection to her mother. Every single one of them mentions her mom, and the second one (her 6th birthday) mentions that her mom had tried to bake a cake with disastrous consequences. Her last entry (14) Nonoy writes that her mom's cake was a huge success. To me, that means that 14 is the last entry is a conclusion to the set up of the cake. I understand this saying that Nonoy is 14/15, but I'm just not 100% on it.

Day 804

I learnt a few days ago that the Infinity Nikki devs had indicated they would do region expansions every six months. This is a fact that both fascinates me  and mildly terrifies me, because before this point I thought we got a region expansion when the 1.2 version introduced as Fireworks Isle to us.

It is after all a completely new area, with its own loading screen and you can’t teleport back to Wishfield from there. 

Most importantly, I have played over 10 hours on that island and I know I missed things, but decided to ship Nikki back to Florawish to do other things. You know… because there’s always something to do when you only play an hour and a half a night on average. It’s a good thing that the developers have made the temporary events last until the end of Febraruy, and even better Fireworks Isle is a permanent location.

However, as someone who has not finished all of the chapters in the main quest line, still need to finish helping the White Jade crew, and those partaking in New Horizons day (on top of all the explorations, minigames, mini quests… etc) it makes me wonder… How large would a region expansion be?

Now, the current logic (theory) among players is that a region expansion is probably (maybe) in reference to a new country. We know that in Miraland, where Infinity Nikki takes place there are six regions. So, the running theory is that it’s those other five regions that would be released every six months.

However, what does that mean?

Does it mean more large scale quest lines? Can you do the quest lines out of order like we could with Firework Isle? Does it mean we get a completely new Infinity Heart map to upgrade for each region? What does that mean for the Dews of Inspiration, or will they be something different, again like the way with Firework Isle?

Who knows at this point? I’m just enjoying the ride.

Now I’ve said in the past that an hour and a half of play a night is perfect for my needs, but if the calculations are correct, the next major update is on my birthday month. Maybe I’ll treat myself to a day of playing Nikki.

After all there are other things I’d like to do that have nothing to do with advancing the storyline.

Like taking pictures… gathering lore… being a dress up gremlin.

The possibilities are endless.

Batch two of the 30 challenge! I'm not doing them every day, but rather several every few days. The next 6 had several prompts that don't already have a previous outfit for them, so this was a busy one.

✦ Day 7: Florawish Styling - PAPER CRANE'S FLIGHT ⇢ I went with the first mayor's outfit from the inspiration quests and modernized it with a casual jacket and shoes meant for adventuring.

✦ Day 8: Style Shoes You Dislike - SUMMER BRANCHES ⇢ These crafted shoes fall under the category of "nothing matches them" and also "that shade of color is not used anywhere else in this game". Why yes, the skirt and the ribbon are an entirely different shade of green than the straps of the shoes.

✦ Day 9: Style Your Favorite Sketch Found in a Chest - SCARLET STORY ⇢ A sketch that looked super cute and after I crafted it, I confirmed that it is in fact, very cute, and it also matches absolutely nothing in my wardrobe. But the warm colors match well with the Floating suit evolution and the bday hairbow clips well with the hat somehow.

✦ Day 10: Save Slot #3 - DIVINITY ⇢ A current work in progress where I am trying to match the Silvergale headpiece with the Fluttering Dreams dress and lacking a lot of matching filler items to accessorize properly.

✦ Day 11: A Cute Whimcycle Outfit - CITY GIRL ⇢ The skirt actually is swapped for a full skirt when riding the whimcycle for decency. So in that sense, this outfit doesn't make sense to go cycling in. But it does match the whimcycle itself!

✦ Day 12: Beat the Sovereign of Elegance - FLUTTERING WISHES ⇢ Another fit that I didn't actually use to beat Elegance but reused some parts of the original fit. I actually did not craft any part of the Aurosa set until after I won all the medals. As I found out later, it turns out I was making it harder for myself.

Back then, many people frowned upon holding such challenges. Choosing the right day and the right place was paramount, and frely presenting one's creations was considered an insult to the art of styling.

The Styling Challenge's Development

After the Stylist's Guild was founded, its development department focused on expanding the stylist community, while research into Whim reached new heights. The Stylist's Guild destigmatized all taboos and promoted artistic freedom with the slogan, "The Freedom of contests is intrinsic to beauty as styling itself." THe movement greatly invigorated the contest scene.

The Styling Challenge's Current State

Nowadays, the Styling Challenge is an essential part of stylists' lives. To some, it's a means to find their special someone. To others, it's a gateway to greater opportunities. There are even rare cases where, under extreme circumstances, people get a second chance at life through competing...

To stylists, any problem or doubt can be resolved thorugh Styling Challenges.

The Styling Challenge's Nature

The Styling Challenge, at its core, is the demonstrantion of a Stylists' Whim. The end result is achieved by combining a Stylist's individual Whim and the power of their outfit.

A successful demonstration is only possible when a stylist has a great amount of Whim and makes good outfit choices.

While taking pictures of Nikki running around the world like a gremlin is a lot of fun, I realized after doing this quest that resulted in the above picture that I should take more pictures of just the world.

It is bonkers how pretty it is, and it's just as much fun as taking pictures of Nikki.

I had seen the cranes going around Florawish but it had not clicked that I could try getting on one until I found out by accident.

Was looking for a quest by the silvergale statue, teleported nearby, and immediately jumped right as the purple crane was passing by! 'o'

Doing this challenge, as I've finished all the quests and now waiting for new content to drop...

This is my Day 1, Save Slot #1. Which I interpret as like 'free space' to do what you want? So I decided to go with the classic trope of an isekai magical girl in her school uniform as she is spirited away into another world. Florawish has such beautiful scenery!
