Hey Chat, I didn't fall asleep until 2am last night.
Anyway, here's my sexuality/gender headcanons for Gwendolyn Bouchard (this is what was keeping me up. Partially):
First up, Gwen does not label any aspect of her identity. She is apathetic to everything except for the Horrors, this includes gender and sexuality, as well as many of the arbitrary lines drawn between the subsets of these two categories.
As far as Gender goes, this manifests as Gwen using any pronouns, but not in an 'any pronouns' way, but in a 'no preferred pronouns' way. Those might seem the same but there is a difference to me. Gwen will not respect you more or less for using multiple pronouns for her in the same sentence, nor will it have any effect if you exclusively she/her them.
Sexuality-wise, Gwen essentially sees no meaningful distinction between platonic gestures and romantic ones. To her, holding hands and making out with someone sloppy-style are basically the same level of intimacy. Also, absolute Queen of Consent to the degree that people think she's overly sensitive- you cannot surprise her with a kiss, or sneakily try to intertwine your hand with theirs, you have to have full consent or she will bite you (metaphorically or literally, it depends.)
Hope you guys enjoyed 'I just got up and needed to talk about Gwen Bouchard' hour.
#I really need to make a design for Gwen...#But I also need to finish Artfight refs...#Save me....#Also uhhh is this me projecting on Gwen? Maybe. A little bit. I think I'm a little less flexible on this subject than her.#But this was partially created because of the fact that I mentioned how much nonbinary swag Gwen has#While I was sobbing over wanting to cosplay her but not wanting to get misgendered#It's hard :(((#tmagp#gwendolyn bouchard#tmagp headcanons#Guys I think as the Archives were full of gay people the OIAR is full of trans people

It’s my first day teleworking at this job (two months overdue but w/e) and it is so so wonderful. I was in meetings all morning but I just had to listen so I got to tidy up and reset my workspace that was covered in dust. My fave radio station announced a last-minute session with one of my fave local-ish artists so I took a long lunch and went to that, and was friends for an hour with someone else who had come solo. I’m running the dishwasher and drinking an excellent cup of tea. I figured out how to make my work phone connect to the cloud and can scan documents from my phone easy peasy. Why can’t every day be like this.
#we get to telework 2 days on my team#I think others probably do more and I know at least a couple people only take one day#our director said specifically in that meeting I was listening to that they are working on increasing flexibility#partially bc our building is so bad#as the meeting went on we got our regularly scheduled email from the admin that the women’s restroom was out of order#like we get every other week#it’s a joke#what can you do#journal entry

i want to expand on my yapping in the tags of this post real quick, because this is yet another thing that's been burning a hole in my alastor-rotted brain.
my al really doesn't have many scars at all — the most prominent you might see at a glance is maybe a little nick on the finger here or there. a moment of distraction while handling a knife. something casual, something mundane, something unremarkable. he isn't shy about tearing you apart with his own hands if the mood strikes him, but he generally is more the type to stand back and overwhelm with eldritch-flavored magic at a distance. this naturally means al is less likely to be in the direct line of fire simply because you need to cross a veritable sea of tentacles and summons and whatever other horrors he feels like tormenting you with at any given moment, but i also believe it's a matter of pride for him. ( see: his little quip at pentious — not many people have been able to take even this much off me. etc, etc. ) he thinks so highly of himself, he is not going to give you the opportunity to leave a mark on him. and i feel he's particularly smug that he has such a reputation for slaughtering such powerful people while coming out the other side not only the victor, but appearing totally unscathed — like another way to establish his own dominance and superiority.
that being said, this is ( at least partially ) yet another facade. because he isn't completely unscarred — and in fact has two very prominent ones. the first is ( unsurprisingly ) from adam. the second is a particularly nasty wound from his fight with vox which nearly cost him his entire left arm. the majority of the damage is centered on his shoulder — you would never know that it's there, of course, and he moves as though nothing is wrong. there is definitely a non-negligible degree of nerve damage, though — almost as if they were cooked by electricity. phantom pains skittering across his flesh, pins and needles when he least expects it. sometimes you might catch al rolling his shoulder or his wrist as if he's trying to banish some sort of stiffness, but he'll cheerfully lie through his teeth if you try to inquire about it.
he'll never actually admit it, but he's much more of a glass cannon than he lets on. few people know this because they're never given the opportunity to land a decent hit.
#𝟎𝟎𝟒 : 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘦. ◟ hc .◝#( based on how he has those funky stitches over his shoulder in certain frames )#( ofc i am absolutely willing to be flexible on this when i'm interacting w/ any vox writers )#( i just like the idea of him not coming out unscathed. he has a permanent reminder of what happened and boy is he bitter about it. )#( al being a glass cannon is also partially based on my own personal headcanons about his deal + how his powers work )#( which is another bout of babbling i'll subject the dash to at another point i'm sure )#( but tl;dr the power he's drawing from isn't actually his own so naturally his physical body is actually kind of squishy )

god fucking damnit once again I have been asking for necessary information for WEEKS and now we've missed deadline and everyones mad at me bc stuff has to go to the printer without management feeding in and they're like WHY HAVEN'T I SEEN THIS BEFORE and I'm like BECAUSE IT'S EXISTED FOR HALF AN HOUR BECAUSE NOBODY TAKES MY WARNINGS ABOUT DEADLINES SERIOUSLY UNTIL AFTER THEY'VE PASSED.
#red said#i partially fucked up here by miremembering a solid deadline as a flexible one but also I was asking for a brief for like a month#and i got a brief on Wednesday and i was off on Friday. so you know. I'm not taking this one on 100%#this happens Every Fucking Year#and i love my colleague but he's shit at managing this project. i have repeatedly said 'hey i think we need to decide on this'#and based on NOTHING he's kept insisting no the printer will do all that#shock fucking horror come Friday it's 'apparently the printer can't do that we need to design it'#YEAH I KNOW I HAVE BEEN SAYING#and it's an awkward size to fit a lot of info on so it's taken like. 3 hours.

this is definitely one of my more controversial stances but while i believe oliver queen absolutely has to be played by a white man i don’t think bruce wayne necessarily has to be
#like when you read gl/ga it’s kind of impossible to posit oliver as anything other than white#his whiteness is crucial to how he navigates the world bc he has an enormous tendency to speak over people of other races as to how they#should perform liberalism bc he feels like his island experience and foray into socialism entitles him to lecture others#he’s well meaning but ultimately there’s no way you could get that across if he was nonwhite. it would defeat the purpose of the character#bruce on the other hand is a little more flexible bc yes whiteness does contribute to some of his privilege etc#but he’s historically more sympathetic to petty criminals and willing to parley with people from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities#so i think you could make him like. partially non white maybe and explore his ability to connect but nonetheless fail to understand some#deeper nuances bc of how wealth and isolation from poverty shelters him and shapes his naive idealism#and as a disclaimer i don’t mean to say this from the perspective of someone who happens to be more invested in bruce and oliver#*bruce than oliver#i just think if you’re going to make nonwhite fcs they should contextually make sense#and oliver to me does not make sense at all as anything other than a white man#to be deleted

I really bought into that "if people didn't have to work [aka if UBI existed or whatever] then society would collapse because no one would go to work" talking point because *I* don't want to work (putting aside the fact that I'm unemployable for disability reasons, I also don't want to be employable, ykwim) and I assumed everyone else also felt the same way. Wouldn't everyone rather be at home (or at the park, or at the roller rink, idfk, wherever) doing whatever they want, whenever they want, with minimal demands on their time and energy?
and then I scroll through the notes of a post like this and am reminded that actually most people DO enjoy Doing Things For A Living and would choose to do so in a just society, and I AM an outlier 💀
#i'm sure the way i am is partially innate but also partially because the nature of capitalistic labour put me off the entire idea#but there's really no denying the innate ''if i don't get to choose what i do everyday i will kill everyone around me and then myself'' bit#it's not that i don't like doing tasks at all it's that i need to be able to choose when and where and how long i do them#and you just cannot reasonably get that level of flexibility in a workplace. i can barely get it in my own house bc it's a shared space lol#asynchrony

thinking about how baby's was reported as closing due to gas leaks.... that likely being the cover up story for elizabeth's death ... pov you're michael and your sister is dead and you KNOW it's because of that animatronic malfunction that your father told you to make sure your sister never went near and She Did and She's Dead and NO ONE ELSE KNOWS and it aligns with your father declining rapidly ( aka becoming even more absorbed by bloodlust and seeking immorality ) and you're terrified because you know something is horribly wrong but you can't say anything and both of your siblings are dead...

External Tips for Finding Best Child Dental Clinic in Panchkula
The development of a child's teeth starts even before birth, about Best Child Dental Clinic in Panchkula . The lower central incisors are the first infant teeth, or primary teeth, to emerge through the gums. The upper central incisors, which erupt approximately four months after birth, closely follow these. The rate and sequence of eruption differ from child to child, even though by the time a child is three years old, all twenty main teeth have typically emerged. Around the age of six, permanent teeth begin to erupt. The lower central incisors and first molars come first. Up to about age twenty-one, this process continues. Adults have 28 permanent teeth, or as many as 32 if the wisdom teeth (third molars) are included. Soon after delivery, oral hygiene should be started.

Why Flexible Partial Dentures Are a Great Choice for Partial Tooth Loss
When it comes to addressing partial tooth loss, patients often find themselves weighing various options to restore functionality and aesthetics. One of the standout solutions in the realm of dental prosthetics is flexible partial dentures. These innovative dental appliances offer a blend of comfort, durability, and aesthetic appeal, making them an increasingly popular choice for individuals seeking to regain their smile and confidence.
Understanding Flexible Partial Dentures
Flexible partial dentures differ significantly from traditional dentures, primarily due to the materials used in their construction. While conventional dentures are often made from rigid materials, flexible partial dentures utilize a thermoplastic resin that allows for a more adaptable fit. This flexibility not only enhances the comfort level for the wearer but also mimics the natural appearance of gums, resulting in a more seamless integration with the mouth.
The design of flexible partial dentures is specifically tailored to accommodate the unique contours of an individual’s mouth. This personalized approach ensures that the dentures can move naturally as the wearer speaks or eats, reducing the likelihood of discomfort or irritation. Furthermore, the lightweight nature of these dentures makes them less cumbersome, allowing patients to enjoy their daily activities without the burden of heavy dental appliances.
The Aesthetic Advantage
A prominent concern for many individuals dealing with partial tooth loss is the impact on their smile and overall facial appearance. Flexible partial dentures excel in this regard. The materials used in their construction can be tinted to match the color of natural teeth, providing a more aesthetically pleasing solution than traditional metal-based partials.
Moreover, the gum-colored base of flexible dentures enhances the illusion of natural gums, creating a harmonious look. Patients often report feeling more confident in social situations, as these dentures are less noticeable and more aligned with their natural dental aesthetics. The psychological benefits of improved appearance cannot be overstated; individuals often feel more inclined to engage in social interactions and less self-conscious about their smiles.
Comfort and Functionality
One of the most significant advantages of flexible partial dentures is their comfort. Traditional dentures can sometimes cause discomfort due to their rigid nature, which may lead to sore spots and difficulty in speaking or eating. In contrast, the flexibility of these dentures allows them to adapt to the movements of the mouth, providing a snug fit without excessive pressure on the gums.
Additionally, flexible partial dentures are designed to distribute biting forces evenly, which can significantly enhance functionality. This is particularly important for individuals who enjoy a variety of foods. Patients often express satisfaction with their ability to chew more effectively and comfortably with flexible partials, which can enhance their overall quality of life.
Durability and Maintenance
Durability is another hallmark of flexible partial dentures. The thermoplastic materials used in their fabrication are known for their strength and resistance to wear and tear. Unlike traditional dentures that may crack or break, flexible partials are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use. This longevity can lead to cost-effective results in the long run, as patients may not need to replace their dentures as frequently.
Maintenance of flexible partial dentures is relatively straightforward. Regular cleaning with a soft toothbrush and mild soap or denture cleaner can help maintain their appearance and functionality. Patients are advised to avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface of the denture. Additionally, periodic check-ups with a dental professional can ensure that the dentures remain in optimal condition and continue to fit well as the mouth changes over time.
The Emotional and Social Impact
The impact of partial tooth loss extends beyond physical discomfort and aesthetic concerns; it often affects emotional well-being and social interactions. Individuals may feel embarrassed about their appearance, leading to withdrawal from social situations. Flexible partial dentures provide a solution that not only restores functionality but also helps patients reclaim their confidence.
Numerous testimonials from individuals who have opted for flexible partial dentures highlight a significant improvement in their quality of life. Many report feeling more self-assured in social settings, allowing them to smile freely and engage with others without the anxiety of hiding their dental issues. The emotional uplift that comes from being able to smile confidently cannot be underestimated, and flexible partial dentures play a crucial role in this transformation.
Who Can Benefit from Flexible Partial Dentures?
Flexible partial dentures are suitable for a wide range of individuals, particularly those with partial tooth loss who seek a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing solution. They are ideal for patients who have lost one or more teeth but do not require a full denture. Additionally, individuals who may have experienced discomfort with traditional dentures often find flexible partials to be a welcome alternative.
Patients with specific dental needs, such as those with allergies to metal or those who prefer a less invasive option, may also find flexible partial dentures to be an excellent choice. Consulting with a dental professional can help determine if this solution aligns with their specific dental health goals.
Conclusion
In summary, flexible partial dentures stand out as an exceptional choice for individuals dealing with partial tooth loss. Their unique combination of comfort, aesthetic appeal, durability, and ease of maintenance makes them a preferred option for many patients. As societal perceptions of dental aesthetics continue to evolve, solutions like flexible partial dentures play a pivotal role in restoring not only smiles but also the confidence that comes with them.
For those considering flexible partial dentures, it is essential to engage with a trusted dental laboratory that prioritizes quality craftsmanship. OD's Dental Laboratory is known for its commitment to excellence in dental solutions, providing patients with the support and services necessary to achieve optimal results. By investing in flexible partial dentures, individuals can take a significant step towards enhancing their dental health, appearance, and overall well-being.

Exploring the Best Dental Implants and Flexible Partial Dentures for a Healthy Smile
Maintaining a healthy smile is essential for overall well-being, and modern dentistry offers advanced solutions to help individuals achieve this goal. Two popular options are dental implants and flexible partial dentures. Both provide effective ways to replace missing teeth, but they cater to different needs and preferences. In this blog post, we will explore the Best Dental Implants in Dublin and the benefits of flexible partial dentures, helping you make informed decisions about your oral health.
Understanding Dental Implants
Dental implants are a revolutionary solution for replacing missing teeth. They consist of a titanium post surgically implanted into the jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root. Once the implant integrates with the bone—a process called osseointegration—a crown is placed on top to complete the restoration.
Benefits of Dental Implants:
Natural Appearance and Function: Dental implants closely mimic natural teeth in both appearance and function. This means you can eat, speak, and smile with confidence, without worrying about slippage or discomfort.
Durability and Longevity: With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. Unlike other tooth replacement options, they do not require frequent replacement, making them a cost-effective solution in the long run.
Bone Health Preservation: Implants help maintain jawbone density by stimulating bone growth. When a tooth is lost, the jawbone can deteriorate over time; implants help counteract this effect.
No Impact on Adjacent Teeth: Unlike dental bridges, which require reshaping neighboring teeth, implants stand alone. This preserves the health of adjacent teeth and prevents future dental issues.
Choosing the Best Dental Implants
When considering dental implants, it’s crucial to choose a qualified dental professional. Factors to consider include:
Experience and Credentials: Look for a dentist or oral surgeon with extensive experience in implant dentistry. Check their certifications and patient reviews.
Technology and Techniques: The best dental clinics utilize advanced technology, such as 3D imaging and computer-guided surgery, for precision and better outcomes.
Personalized Treatment Plans: A good dental professional will assess your unique needs and create a tailored treatment plan, ensuring you receive the best care possible.
At Sharma Dental Center, we prioritize your dental health and offer state-of-the-art implant solutions to restore your smile.
Introduction to Flexible Partial Dentures
For individuals who may not be candidates for dental implants or prefer a removable solution, flexible partial dentures are an excellent alternative. These dentures are designed to replace multiple missing teeth while providing comfort and functionality.
Benefits of Flexible Partial Dentures:
Comfortable Fit: Made from a flexible thermoplastic material, these dentures adapt to the shape of your mouth, providing a comfortable fit that minimizes irritation.
Aesthetic Appeal: Flexible partial dentures look natural and blend seamlessly with your existing teeth. The material is often translucent, resembling gum tissue, which enhances the overall appearance.
Easy to Remove and Clean: Unlike fixed dental solutions, flexible partial dentures can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance, making oral hygiene simpler.
Cost-Effective: Flexible partial dentures are generally more affordable than dental implants, making them an accessible option for many patients.
Quick Solution: While dental implants require a surgical procedure and healing time, flexible partial dentures can often be made and fitted in a shorter timeframe, providing immediate results.
Making the Right Choice for Your Smile
Choosing between dental implants and flexible partial dentures depends on various factors, including your dental health, lifestyle, and budget. It’s essential to consult with a dental professional who can assess your situation and recommend the best option for you.
At Sharma Dental Center, we understand that every patient has unique needs. Whether you’re considering the long-term benefits of dental implants or the comfort of Flexible Partial Dentures in Dublin, our team is here to guide you through the process and help you achieve the smile you desire.
