My biggest frustrations with the anti-vegan posts that garner thousands of notes on this app are they tend to always be points actively discussed in vegan spaces since their creation.

Veganism varies by circles and isn’t a protected word, so is absolutely used by Instagram dieters and misanthropes who have never considered the oppression of humans, but veganism has also has (and has had for decades) active discussion about the requirement to support human and social liberation alongside that of non-human animals. All leftist vegans I know firmly agree that non-human liberation of the environment and other animals is not going to happen and is futile without just as much focus on all the other injustices in a capitalist society. That includes a holistic boycott whenever possible of products and enterprises that harm humans alongside avoiding animal produce .

Of course like, the tumblr users making these posts probably haven’t seen these vegan circles or discussions because they’re not in them, and the health dieters and non-intersectional single issue focused activists are pretty vocal and infuriating, but still. It’s so infuriating to see people bringing these up as a gotcha towards veganism based off things that vegans have greatly in depth discussions, prioritising the voices of those whom are minorities, for so long.

I mean... I haven't exactly hidden the fact I'm not a fan of hers or of wag culture in general, but I saw this and... it really sums up what it is that bugs me about the whole thing.

Not to be patronising but I really hope people realise - This isn't a book, it's a recruitment scam ploy for Female Invest. It's not a book with a reduced subscription, it's a reduced subscription package with a free 'e book'. You can't buy this book on it's own, or without giving your personal details to their company. You also will be auto-enrolled into an auto-renew subscription that will be £99 a year after the first year.

I'm not going g to tell people what to do with their money but just... please don't go rushing in to buying this just because it has her name on it. It's bad enough when WAGS are selling you overconsumption and overpriced designer shit you don't need but... I'm really uncomfortable with this one, because there's incredibly mixed reviews on Female Invest as a company (some positive but an awful lot not - I'd advise you to do your research on them), and also not much clarity on her own credentials. Having a famous boyfriend, a 500k insta and a LinkedIn really isn't enough to go on when offering around financial advice to people.

Obviously it's everyone's personal choice to make, but... I'd definitely tread carefully here. It's very... grifty and full of red flags. Companies don't tend to just offer you memberships at less than 50% their alleged market value... the fact you're getting an extra thrown in suggests neither of the end products are worth that in the first place 😬😬

Now that we're into 2025, I was actually thinking about making an update post to let people know what to expect in the next couple of months, so this seems like the perfect opportunity!

I mentioned in a previous post that the next few chapters of "When the World Breaks" (Unleashed fic) and "An Unstoppable Force" (Forces fic) are my next priorities, but here's kind of the timeline I'm aiming for:

When the World Breaks - Shamar: Late January

When the World Breaks - Empire City: Mid February

An Unstoppable Force Ch. 4 - 6: March - April

But because I'm me, I'm positive there will be the occasional one/two shots that'll pop up between these, though I'm going to try my best and stay very disciplined with these two projects.

The Mighty & Ray fic, a small post-SA2 fic, or a fic based on the High Stakes Sonic ep in AoStH will most likely be posted sometime in the next 3-4 months, as long as I can maintain a steady writing routine.

And while this is still a ways out, I want to have Sonic's side of my fic "Relative Dissonance" ready by June 23rd. I didn't expect there to be so long of a gap between the two fics (story of my life lol), but at this point, that feels like a reasonable and poetic sort of goal since it'll have been a year since "Relative Dissonance" was published!

So, hopefully I'll be able to meet at least some of these goals! More than anything, I want "When the World Breaks" to be finished by the end of this year. I will consider 2025 a complete success if we can manage that at least xD

i know it’s impossible to compare something scripted to something like critical role and i know i often say “no writer’s room could’ve done this” when it comes to cr but imogen is experiencing something so authentic to the sapphic experience and it developed so organically in the same way beau’s experience felt so real and the difference between her feelings for yasha and jester resonated with me in a Deeply Lesbian Way and i just feel that can only be accomplished when the creator, actor and ‘writer' is the same person and story comes before both profit and audience demands and in-character choices are made in the moment just like real life and that’s something tv/film will simply never be able to do

my new hobby of buying old beat up vintage coach bags and trying to restore them would be a lot more lucrative if i had any intention of selling them after like i COULD maybe flip them. but i like them so much i just wanna collect them and look at them and rotate thru them for daily use <3 i just picked up a RED one from the local goodwill outlet but unfourch it's covered in pen marks and every trick to get ink out of leather i read online is for when it JUST happened and these have had at least a decade to really soak into the pores of the leather 😭 so hopefully i can lighten them somehow and dye over themmmmm but if not it's stilll a cute bag and the pen marks aren't so bad that you would notice them from a distance. anyways. my fun new projects ^_^
