Just thinking about how Pathologic 3 might be about cinema and time as opposed to the previous ones being about theatre and having no time. Unlike a theatre production you can edit a film which I'm sure is how the new time travel mechanic will interact with the meta. Instead of "scrapping the whole thing and trying again" Daniil gets to edit the movie if he fucks up. Also could serve as a metaphor for how the game has innovated and changed over the years, just like the media around us modernise. Exciting stuff!

isn’t it kinda ironic that in star wars, there’s a nod to poe being a spice runner, and in dune that leto wanted to be a pilot? kinda funny too, considering that a lot of star wars is inspired, if not copied straight from dune. i love both of the franchises though, and i love oscar isaac.

Orphan Black: Echoes showrunner Anna Fishko on bringing back Tatiana Maslany:
Fishko reveals that Maslany was approached about returning, but because of scheduling conflicts she was unable to do so. But the showrunner says: "We tried and we thought about it, we had a little episode for her to return that we were sort of holding onto for a while, but in the end it just didn't work out, which was too bad." When asked if she'd like to see Maslany return as one of her Orphan Black characters in future, Fishko adamantly says: "I'd love to see her come back." The challenge now, then, will be on viewers to make that come to be.

of all the star wars movies, which of them do y'all 1) enjoy the most 2) consider the best quality and 3) think you've rewatched the most. add your answers in the reblogs or replies, i'm genuinely curious how much of an overlap there is within everyone's three answers. mine don't overlap at all! they're revenge of the sith, empire strikes back, and the force awakens :^)
#len speaks#star wars#revenge of the sith#empire strikes back#the force awakens#not tagging more films than that bc i cant b bothered. incoming tag ramble ahead bc i have sw brainrot rn and im making it everyones prob❤️#i rlly struggled 2 remember if id watched tfa or aotc more. i went w/ tfa bc it was formative to me as a teen and ive seen it probably 6ish#times? whereas aotc was the first sw movie i remember (specifically the scene of obiwan serving c*nt in the bar lmao) but i've only seen it#for sure 4.5 and maybe 5.5 times. the .5 is from when i got bored after obi-wan's scene ended and ran off to go play in the mud or smthn #i'm sure tfa will eventually get surpassed in number of rewatches by aotc and rots bc i don't fw the direction of the ST but that's my#current ballpark estimate of my total number of rewatches#as an adult tho if i just wanna watch a star war i'll go with aotc bc it's fun and ends semihappily and i can turn my brain off for the#spinny lightsabers. it's great background noise or for if you're sick or whatever. rots on the other hand? i won't talk through that unless#i'm quoting it with my brother and i am LOCKED IN 100% entirely entranced by it all#i almost picked rogue one for the best quality answer but i think the character writing is weaker and the facial cgi is creepy. esb beats#it by a hair imho bc of that. the vader hallway scene goes hard tho!!!#also i'm not covering shows or games or books or anything else in this post - simply the films. might ask abt shows later but that might#also give me hives bc so many of the shows suck ass and i don't rlly want ppl extolling the virtues of t.bb in my notes 💀#and yes i do think one's enjoyment and one's opinion of quality are two things that often overlap. but sometimes you just like something#bad and that's awesome. like rots is the best of the prequels by a large margin and i adore the opening and characters and many of the#scenes but that doesn't mean it's the best star wars has to offer ykwim? it's my specialest most favoritest sw movie but that doesn't blind#me to the dialogue lmfaooo

See I honestly do find the prequels-era Jedi an interesting (and at times painfully recognizable) portrait of institutional violence in that...they aren't cackling villains. They're mostly sympathetic well-intentioned individuals who via a combo of traditionalist inertia, ideological blinders, proximity to power, a dash of plain old arrogance and a liberal seasoning of end-justifies-the-means compromise end up being at best indifferent to and at worst deeply complicit in some pretty heinous injustice. I don't even think this is a completely against-the-grain reading on my part. At the end of the day it's a pretty mild critique, but it's hard to argue that the PT is entirely uncritical of the Jedi imo.
Unfortunately the narrative is never interested in really sinking its teeth into that. And even more unfortunately, a chunk of the fandom will clutch its pearls in horrified outrage if anybody else is interested in sinking their teeth into that

Pedro Pascal, best known for his dynamic performances in The Mandalorian and as Oberyn Martell in Season 4 of Game of Thrones, took on an exciting new challenge in Ridley Scott's Gladiator II. Pascal stepped into the sandals of Acilius, a Roman general whose ambitions and loyalties are tested amidst the empire's turbulent power struggles.
Reflecting on his experience, Pascal shared his awe at the film’s immense scale. From vast, meticulously crafted sets to Ridley Scott’s legendary attention to detail, every aspect of the production left a strong impression on him. Pascal was particularly struck by the sheer scale and authenticity of the film's sets, describing the experience as unlike anything he'd ever witnessed.
Gladiator II is now playing in movie theaters.

Here’s my take on Cassian and Bix’s relationship.
They are clearly over each other and their mutual affection is now strictly platonic.
They both move on to other lovers in the show, albeit long-term in her case and a fling in his case. They care for each other, obviously; they’re longtime friends and that’s more than enough reason for him to want to rescue her.
But I don’t see any tension indicating they’re even remotely interested in getting back together. He doesn’t look bothered in the slightest when he figures out that she’s gotten involved with Timm; he just looks pleased for her.
He never looks at her the way he later looks at Jyn; there is no comparison between his chemistry with Jyn and his chemistry with Bix.
And no matter what happens in season 2, we know they’re not meant to be. We know they will be out of each other’s lives within a few years, and we know Cassian will find his true love in someone else, in whose arms he will ultimately die.
Speaking of which, the entire series is RebelCaptain propaganda, so no matter what anyone may see between Cassian and Bix, the very structure of the series around them is foreshadowing that his soulmate is another woman.
I do hope that instead of being fridged, Bix will live and choose to part ways with him; that’s what she deserves.
