Live Action Adaptation Of Webtoon’s ‘Batman: Wayne Family Adventures’ Sets Inclusive Cast With Yoshi Sudarso, Peter Sudarso, Gemma Nguyen And D-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall And More

DC‘s first original story by Webtoon, Batman: Wayne Family Adventures is set to get the live-action treatment — and it is hella inclusive.

Jonathan Bentley is set to star as Bruce Wayne  — which is great news. However, the casting of Yoshi Sudarso (Buffalo Boys, Bullet Train) as Dick Grayson/Nightwing is the first actor of Asian descent to play the character which has been historically portrayed as white. In addition, Peter Sudarso (Supergirl, The Paper Tigers) will play Tim Drake/Red Robin, the second actor to play the character in a live action iteration — and his character is also traditionally white. It’s inclusivity and we love to see it.

The cast also includes Gemma Nguyen (Phantom Breaker) as Cassandra Cain/Orphan, D-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall (So You Think You Can Dance) as Duke Thomas/Signal, Lisa Foiles (All That, Malcolm in the Middle), as Barbara Gordon/Oracle, Tim Neff (Echo 3, Outpost) as Jason Todd/Red Hood, Meghan Camarena (Power Rangers Hyperforce, Video Game High School) as Stephanie Brown/Spoiler, Carter Rockwood as Damian Wayne/Robin, and Marcus Weiss (Scrubs, Le Rêve) as Alfred Pennyworth.

re: taeyong and kai's freestyle - lowkey same oops. their freestyling style kinda reminds me of a guy on my high school dance team LOL. they're great at hitting beats of course but i feel like the movements they choose are less interesting to me, personally i prefer looking at shapes/lines and details, so i prefer ten's & taemin's styles. i actually think mark also has a great distinct style that's more focused on footwork, not my personal fave but i like that he's figured out a coherent style!

i dont know anything about dancing so to me kai and yong just look sort of... tense? like theyre on beat but they do not look relaxed. like yongs recent dance video with the robotic(?) movement, i didnt like that at all, although i like that style of dance. i like fik-shun n i think he has a natural type of movement that yong lacked.

i like dancing that looks effortless and natural so i also like mark!! he seems very free, i think hes the kind of person who will instinctively start dancing to any music he hears, bc he has natural rhythm. also taemin is also my favorite dancer, and i really love ten as well

If you haven’t noticed by now I’m a huge fan of dance. I feel like I’m terms of muscle control, athleticism and overall inspiration factors dancers are the most superior athletes. Personally this video I feel like should have been rated 2, 3, 1 in terms of how each dancer performed. The first and third dancers I felt just used the stage more effectively and were the most in sync with their song selection
