hello. reddit is unhelpful in this regard so do any of my lovely followers have recommendations for how to make thin (scalp) and fine (strands) curly hair not suck

#for further texture/styling reference i am white #i have tried like a zillion products (not at once) that are supposed to help different aspects but nothing works long-term #my hair isn't dry or damaged it's just physically thin/fine and gets greasy super fast seemingly at random #i use sulfate/silicone-free stuff. i recently bought a clarifying shampoo for use 1x a week. i don't use heat or brushes on my hair at all #what do you WANT from me hair #i'd be half-convinced it's my water at this rate except that it's been Like This the last three places i've lived

i might’ve cut off a little bit more hair than i thought when i trimmed it today or maybe it just Looks shorter than it actually is, because all of a sudden my hair is like “hey guess what i remembered how to form ringlets all on my own. not very good ones admittedly but it’s better than nothing right 🥺” and i’m like yes it is, thank you for doing the bare minimum

#my hair texture is basically the worst of both worlds lmao #it’s not smooth manageable waves but it’s not truly committed to being curly either #like it’s JUST curly enough to look messy and not curly enough to be fun #and i have yet to meet a hydrating or conditioning product that makes it happy. it’s either coarse/dry/frizzy hell #or it’s weighed down and greasy there is no in between #truly it sucks the only thing it’s got going for it is that it’s thick and fast growing #but then i went and decided to get an undercut #such is life!

#ugh I think I need to start using a leave in conditioner but I hate buying products that then don’t work and I have to use up to not waste #my hair is right between wavy and curly and a lot of wavy products are too light and don’t do enough and a lot of curly products are too #heavy and make my hair look greasy too fast so I have a lot of Dud products #my favorite product ever was the ‘the good stuff hair pudding’ that was discontinued in like 2019 and I forever lament and miss #anyways I’m gonna Google brands and buy something at the grocery store tomorrow
