Request
Trying to have a romantic date with Mr Reca but he doesn’t stop explaining/complaining about the movie you just saw together.
Little Mister Critique

Mr Reca x reader
I decided to keep this nice and simple as I have a lot of requests I need to finish:) Mr Reca is so fucking underrated it’s absolutely insane. (Let me know if anyone wanna be apart of my taglist).
Masterlist

The restaurants atmosphere was cozy and romantic. Multiple candles were littered around in a fashionable sense. You and your beloved boyfriend was sitting in a both in a private corner on the second floor of the luxurious restaurant. The giant windows looked out over the city. The city lights glittered like the stars in the darl sky. It was truly a breathless sight. The sound of cutlery against porcelain filled sounded like wind chimes.
The men in front of you cut into his lasagna before he brought it to his lips. He chewed with a delighted hum. After swallowing he hummed again “My my, this restaurant truly is delightful, is it not? I think I should make one of the scenes in my new movie take place here…”
You nodded. “Yeah, the food and the atmosphere are truly something” you have the brunette a soft smile. His eyes twinkled like red stars as his lips retuned your smile.
“So what woul-”
“God that movie we just watched was truly a disgrace to the cinematic arts” Reca interrupted you. He shook his head in great disappointment as he recalled the movie.
You raised your brow as you sighed. Here we go again.
“I don’t think it was that bad” you shrugged. “You are overreacting. Now eat your food.”
“Of course it was bad! The cinematography was horrendous, the colours obnoxious, the costumes extremely cheap” he waved his hands in a dramatic manner. “Ugh and don’t even get me started on the acting and script! It should be illegal to produce such garbage. It’s a disgrace to directors and the audience to witness such filth” he scoffed. Reva’s handsome face was twisted in annoyance. “I should have asked for a refund” he muttered under his breath as he took a sip of his red wine.
“Reca” your stern voice broke him out of his theatrics. He swallowed as he glanced down on the plate. He looked like a guilty puppy and you but your tongue as to not laugh out loud.
“You have been complaining about that goddamn movie on the whole way from the cinema and till we got our food. I finally thought you would have gotten it out of your mind when you got your food, but I guess I was wrong” you sighed. “But I do agree with you, it was bad, but don’t let it ruin our date. Okay?” you stroke his hand gently.
His charming smile returned to his lips as he nodded firmly. “You are naturally right, my dear. I shall refrain from talking about that garbage” he lifted his wine glass. Your glasses clicked together. “Let us have a date that even the best romantic films of the cosmos won’t even dream to compare with.”

shine bright like a diamonds..
I think this is going to be my favourite category.
I was inspired to create Aaliyah by the singer Tyla, so let's think of her as a prototype, so here are a few facts about her biography:
Age: 28 years old, birthday June 15, 1996, zodiac sign: gemini
Living: Oasis Springs, Aaliyah lives in a luxurious, expansive mansion in Oasis Springs. Her home has been featured in lifestyle magazines for its blend of modern architecture and artistic decor.
Musical Genre: Aaliyah is a versatile artist who seamlessly combines elements of pop and jazz in a style she calls "Jazz-Pop Soul." This approach, with its rich jazz undertones and catchy pop rhythms, appeals to a wide audience and has made her music memorable.
Influences: she draws inspiration from classic jazz legends like Nina Simone and contemporary pop icons such as Alicia Keys. Her sound includes touches of blues and R&B, giving her songs a soulful, emotionally resonant quality.
Early Beginnings: she started her musical journey at just 16, singing in local clubs where her powerful voice and magnetic presence quickly attracted attention. She was discovered by a producer and signed her first record deal at 20.
Awards and Recognition: Aaliyah has earned multiple Grammy nominations and won the "Best New Artist" award during her first year in the industry. Critics have praised her unique ability to infuse jazz nuances into popular music.
Fashion: her style is both chic and eclectic, often featuring a mix of designer brands with bold, unique statement pieces.
Hobbies: Outside of music, Aaliyah has a passion for art and painting. She also actively supports local artists, hosting exhibitions in her home to showcase their work.
Personal Life: A huge basketball fan, Aaliyah often attends games in her free time. She’s been open about her admiration for a well-known NBA star, with whom she’s rumored to share a close connection. Fans speculate about a budding romance, though she remains tight-lipped about the details.
Lots recommended: The Osasis Restaraunt, SBA Stadium, Techo Azul
With her deep roots in jazz and a flair for pop appeal, Aaliyah Lawson stands out as one of the most dynamic performers of her generation.
All rights belong to the creators, and huge thanks to them for the custom content.
If you have any problems, don't be shy and text me. But hopefully everything will be fine. If you add Aaliyah to your gameplay, tag me under posts, I'll be insanely happy!

Artistic Duo Creates Incredibly Intricate Paper Wigs

Ukrainian-Russian art duo Asya Kozina and Dmitriy Kozin are redefining paper artistry with their intricate, flamboyant wigs crafted entirely from paper.
Drawing inspiration from the opulence of Baroque and Rococo fashion, the talented couple transforms pristine white paper into elaborate, sculptural headpieces. Their unique choice of material enhances the ethereal quality of their designs, making their work stand out both in the art world and across social media. One look at their breathtaking creations, and it’s easy to see why their paper wigs are captivating audiences worldwide.

Asya’s journey into paper wig artistry began over a decade ago in her hometown of Cherkasy, Ukraine. She first exhibited a collection of miniature paper wigs, which garnered significant attention. Five years later, she staged a vernissage where models showcased her handcrafted paper wigs and dresses. Since then, Asya and her husband Dmitriy—also a skilled paper artist—have dedicated themselves to perfecting their craft, earning international recognition for their work.

“Our creative process always begins with sketching ideas or jotting them down before discussing them together,” Dmitriy Kozin shared with Arctic Paper magazine. “Then we dive into research and start bringing our vision to life. While adjustments can happen along the way, we usually have a clear direction from the start. Once we’re fully immersed in a project, we often work around the clock.”

While their designs may appear whimsical and exaggerated, Asya and Dmitriy are meticulous in their research. They pore over historical texts, study illustrations, visit museums, and analyze authentic 17th- and 18th-century references to ensure their wigs stay true to their historical roots. In fact, the dramatic, over-the-top elements of their designs perfectly align with the extravagant aesthetics of their Baroque and Rococo inspirations.

“Baroque and Rococo wigs were adorned with symbols of luxury, refinement, and romanticism—everything from miniature ships and exotic flowers to stuffed birds,” the duo explains.
Through their astonishingly detailed creations, Asya Kozina and Dmitriy Kozin breathe new life into historical fashion, proving that even the most delicate material—paper—can be transformed into extraordinary works of art.

A thing I wish they could have done with Marinette and Chloe’s rivalry.
Both are designers but have them be different types. Like Marinette makes personalized designs and accessories for people. Things that can be worn everyday or special events. More practical applications and graphic designs.
While Chloe would be more costume designs. Larger than life creations. Wearable art to help build a story. Pieces that bring characters to life for an audience. Transforming pieces for stage and screen. Luxurious and glittering with her own jewelry line for people who want some of that magic in their lives.
But with the medium of animation certain constraints happen. If they had different comics we could have had several of the fashion designer/model only having one outfit problem fixed… the comics we do have keep stealing Marinette’s clothes and it gives me an ick
Lmao this actually reminds me of two different mlp rewrite episodes I did (Suited for Success and Pinkie Pride)
In that there are pros and cons to both designing with a single person in mind and designing with the mass market in mind.
Both are good! But they're also different and not always right! And sometimes you need to work with both!!

"By now the season was almost over and we had still had no word from the Tsarina, as to the audience she was expected to give us. We began to wonder whether it would ever come. Mother was nervous, especially since we could make absolutely no move to hasten the event, and the approaching Lenten season would put an end to aU court activities. At last the long expected sign arrived, and we were commanded to take the special train which transported debutantes and their mothers to Tsarskoe Selo, to be presented to the Tsarina. Besides myself, only one other girl had an appointment for that day. She was Mademoiselle Artsymovich, who, like myself, was a diplomat's daughter; her mother was an American. We had again practiced our curtsies and were briefed on how to deport ourselves during the audience. Among other things, we were told not to speak first, to await the Tsarina's questions and to answer them briefly.
At a contrast to the pomp and luxury of the other Romanov mansions I had seen, the imperial family's home was of extreme simplicity. Nicholas and his wife never cared for the main building of the Tsarskoe Selo Palace, erected by the Empress Catherine; they preferred the small annex known as the Alexander Palace, into which we were ushered upon our arrival with a minimum of ceremony. We were served a light lunch in the small diningroom, supervised by a timid lady-in-waiting. After the meal, each girl, with her mother, was led in turn to the Tsarina's private sitting-room.
And now I was curtsying low and kissing the hand of Alexandra Fedorovna, Empress of all Russia. My first and lasting impression was how handsome this woman looked. Though no longer young, and indeed rather matronly, she resembled a magnificent, cold statue with features chiselled in pure marble. She did not seem like a living creature; she sat stiffly in a straight-backed armchair, with hands clasped and sealed lips. She wore a flowing "tea gown," a string of pearls and pear-shaped diamond earrings. The straight nose, the pale brow, the golden hair bound in simple, maiden-like braids around her narrow head — everything was utterly calm and majestic. Only the sudden flush that would pass over her face betrayed the passionate storms that raged in the secret depths of her heart.
The Tsarina was seated next to a small table covered with framed photographs. There were also many large pictures and snapshots of every size hanging on the walls. The members of the imperial family were continually taking photographs of each other. The room was furnished in the so-called art nouveau style fashionable in those days. The furniture was of light polished wood and bamboo, upholstered in pale, green satin with a peculiar flower-design. The glass lampshades were also decorated with flowers, mostly waterlilies of a sickly hue. This setting would have suited a play by Ibsen or Strindberg. While clinging to all the attributes of Imperial power, with unyielding obstinacy, Alexandra Fedorovna rejected its pomp with equal determination. Needless to say, the interview was strained. Mother and I were invited to sit on the hard art nouveau chairs and the Tsarina seemed to have difficulty in finding the words of greeting for which we were respectfully waiting. A forced smile was all that she could muster up for a few moments, and when she spoke it was with downcast eyes and in a strange, hollow voice. Alexandra's extreme coldness, usually attributed to shyness, was one of the causes of her unpopularity in Russian society. In spite of her great beauty she did not attract but rather repulsed her subjects harshly. I felt frozen to the bone and when at last she spoke, I heard myself giving her the most absurd answers. Thus, for instance, when she mentioned her son, the Grand Duke Alexis, I recalled that on the day that he was born, we were happy because our professors canceled our lessons. The Tsarina gave me a severe look.
I was not persona grata because of my father's liberal ideas and his frequent interventions on behalf of the Duma. Neither was my mother liked, because the dowager Empress, the Tsarina's mother-in-law, had befriended us, and she was also hostile to Rasputin.
We could clearly realize — and the fact was later confirmed — that this statuesque woman was on the brink of hysteria. The flushed face, the red patches on her open neck and arms were the signs of a growing disorder. Yes, that much we could guess — but who could have foretold the tragic death that awaited the unfortunate Tsarina?
The audience did not last long; it was like a visit to the shrine of a goddess who could not be propitiated. I did, however, receive a gold plaque with the Tsarina's initial A on it in diamonds. This meant that I was appointed Freylina Ee Velichestva — Maid of Honor of Her Majesty I had been inducted into the Russian court, which I was never to see again".

Hunger Games Chariot Fashion (Districts 1-6)
Inspo for descriptions and depictions in art and fics
District 1: Gold, Gaudy, and Attention Grabbing

For luxury, there's platinum and diamonds, but gold is also timeless in terms of symbolizing. It stands out, is quite gaudy (which pleases the Capitolites), and mixes it with bright colors and jewels captures attention. Attention of which is very District 1.
Staples for District 1 chariot designs:
Golden parts
Diamonds and jewels
Royal, Ancient Egyptian motifs (as mummies were buried with their luxuries)
District 2: Architecture, Chainmail, and Metal

District 2 can be symbolized with metal for their weapon making. Silver is a rather obvious option. The chainmail can symbolize the warrior-like attitude the tributes have, their preparation for the Games, as well as their unfair advantages. But using architecture designs could symbolize the quarries and stoneworking of the district.
Staples and motifs for 2:
Architecture-like designs (drawings of flying buttresses, romanesque, brutalism, along with other building inspired looks)
Metal: Gold, silver, platinum, even rusting copper or iron could symbolize the harshness of 2
Chainmail/medieval armor
Designs of weaponry such as the knives on the dress pictured above
(Not pictured here) Ancient Roman motifs along with Viking designs to symbolize the warrior-like attitudes
District 3: Coils, Circuits, and Wires

Technology can be symbolized with coils and wires in reference to what connects one form of tech to another. Glowing/screen designs are also fitting. Circuitry as well to reference the inner workings of tech.
Circuits
Wires/coils
Glowing materials/designs
Keyboard buttons
Screens or holograms being utilized
District 4: Flowing Waves and Scales

Skirts/materials that flow like water or have an ombre design to symbolize that shallow vs. deep end of a body of water would work for District 4. Anything with scales to reference the sea life rather than just the water can be used creatively. Or anything that looks like a moving wave might catch the audiences eyes (think the fire effects Cinna used but instead to form wave and splashes)
Flowing fabrics
Water effects
Scales or other sea lide textures (such as fringes that look like jellyfish)
Ombre that looks like a shore leading to the ocean.
District 5: Solar and Shiny Suns

District 5 can be symbolized with anything that converts energy into power: solar panels, windmills, power lines, etc. Using symbolism for the sun/heat/light can also symbolize the district.
Shiny materials
Sun/solar
Windmill/spinning parts
District 6: Moto Jackets and Racing Gear

For transportation, it's easy to symbolize with something like tires or car parts (like that one time Lady Gaga literally wore a piece of a car for a photoshoot and red carpet). Motorcycle jackets/gloves and racing gear along with helmets would be good for the outlandish chariot looks. Anything spaceship/inside of a vehicle could be applied too.
Motorcycle attire
Racing gear
Parts of plans, trains, and automobiles (see what I did there?)
Spaceship like designs (H.R. Giger inspired designs)
Some of these examples are silly/outlandish to fit in with the Capitol, but I wanted to take into account creativity as well as some respect for the Districts and their labor. Along with some designs that might make the tributes feel more powerful rather than like laughing stocks (such as Cinna's designs for Katniss)
Next 6 Districts in a separate post!

Capitalism Uses Culture to Perpetuate Ideological Dominance Over the Working Classes by Transforming Bourgeois Values into Universal Norms
The text reflects Georg Lukács' understanding of the role of culture in the capitalist system, where it is employed as a tool to sustain the bourgeoisie’s ideological dominance over the working classes. This concept can be better explained by analyzing the main points with examples:
1. Culture as a Tool of Domination
Culture is not neutral or spontaneous; it is crafted and designed to serve class interests.
The bourgeoisie imposes its values and cultural concepts as universal norms, making them appear natural, while they actually sustain their dominance.
Example:
Hollywood Movies: These films often present a stereotypical image of success and happiness tied to wealth and excessive consumption. The bourgeoisie is depicted as a symbol of prosperity and progress, while the struggles of the working classes are either hidden or portrayed as individual issues that can be overcome through hard work.
2. Transforming Bourgeois Values into Universal Standards
Bourgeois values such as consumption, individualism, profit-seeking, and competitiveness are portrayed as universal values representing the natural evolution of society.
This leads the working classes to adopt these values, even when they go against their own interests, further alienating them.
Example:
Fashion Culture: Standards of beauty and luxury are promoted, requiring continuous spending on clothing and accessories. This fosters a consumerist culture where the working classes allocate significant portions of their income to unnecessary products.
3. Domination Through Education and Media
Education and media are key tools in imposing bourgeois ideology.
Knowledge and history are presented in ways that highlight the bourgeoisie’s role as drivers of human progress, while the contributions of the working classes are marginalized.
Examples:
Educational Curricula: Focus on the achievements of capitalists and large corporations without critiquing the economic system or highlighting workers’ struggles.
Advertisements: Create new consumer desires and link them to happiness and social acceptance, compelling the working classes to work harder to fulfill these "needs."
4. Erasing Class Consciousness and Promoting Consumer Culture
Class consciousness is replaced with a consumer culture that drives individuals to focus on fulfilling personal desires rather than collective change.
Social problems are framed as individual issues solvable through consumption or self-improvement.
Example:
Television Dramas: Poverty and unemployment are often depicted as personal failures rather than outcomes of an unjust economic structure.
5. Exploiting Art to Reinforce Bourgeois Values as Shared Symbols
Art is used to reproduce bourgeois values, presenting them as representations of beauty or absolute truth.
This allows audiences to unconsciously internalize these values.
Example:
Romantic Films: Frequently associate happiness with the ideal bourgeois marriage, which requires a certain level of wealth, thereby reinforcing the cultural objectives of capitalism.
Conclusion
Lukács argues that cultural hegemony is not merely a coercive force but a soft domination that reshapes people’s consciousness, encouraging them to accept the status quo without resistance. By controlling culture, capitalism allows the bourgeoisie to present its values as universal and natural, obstructing the development of the class consciousness necessary for change.
Marxism is not merely an economic tool but a framework for analyzing societies as interconnected structures.

My bad for the panic attack. For a very vanilla ask: perfect dates for Roy keeley and Jamie (and how they arrange them). (I'm sorry about confusing wording, I'm struggling with English right now)
Not your fault! It's not a full on panic attack either, it's really not that big of a deal just uncomfortable and distracting smh. Anyway.
All three of them actually pretty well like clubbing, so they do that quite a lot. In addition to all of them just generally having a good time, it's also pretty easy to keep things between them on the DL doing that as a date (while that's a relevant concern), since it's not an unexpected activity for a group or to dance with multiple partners and be kind of indiscriminately provocative, and they've all been Seen at clubs plenty of times before individually.
They also all three like going to museums. [transpose them into the Ferris Bueller's Day Off art museum montage here, but also if Keeley picked the museum that time it's something morbid - in which case Cameron's impressionism & The Self existential crisis is Jamie confronting his own mortality in front of an exhibit about virgin sacrifice or something]
RoyJamie dates include but are not limited to escape rooms, walking tours, Jamie tagging along when Roy takes Phoebe to theme parks or jungle gym-y things (do you have anything like the St. Louis City Museum in the UK?), and indie concerts in dive music bars that Jamie takes Roy to and pretends to be snobby about "introducing" Roy to "proper good music". They also somewhat consider the down time on away games where they're away for more than just night before and the match dates, which they usually spend going to brunch and then making good use of their hotel room.
JamieKeeley dates include but are not limited to fashion shows (they have wildly differing opinions on every collection and take great pleasure in negging each other about it), poetry readings, destination dates where they hit all the overhyped tourist spots and then hit as many you-have-to-know-it places to get The Full Experience TM (think the conceit of Tourist Trapped on Watcher), and spa days. Jamie's also allowed at girls' nights with Rebecca and Sassy (and eventually Barbara, and sometimes Bex) because he's kind of a girl sometimes, and that's a bit date-like.
RoyKeeley dates include but are not limited to cafe dates, really nice restaurant reservations, staycation type occasions where Roy puts together a whole elaborate relaxation/luxury itinerary complete with rose petals and other grand gestures for Keeley and devotedly sees to her every want and need all day (similar to his apology except they don't have to have fought they just Like It), and plays/ballets/operas/etc (although they do find some theaters/troops that encourage audience participation to take Jamie to too).

It's time for me to proper live blog my thoughts on the Lockwood and co show. Can I just say how phenomenal the set dressing is? There's two really terrific details one after the other. The first is the satchel's storefront, which reads like a slightly-below-luxury jewelry store wondow: not chic enough to not display merchandise in the window, but just fashionable and expensive enough to communicate with a single longing glance as she passes that this product is currently far, far out of Lucy's league. It's a great establishing shot that only takes a quarter of a second.
The other phenomenal set dressing comes moments later with the big electric signage in the Fittes lobby featuring Marissa and Penelope Fittes' glowing photographs. It's everything this signage needs to be. Objectively, it's tacky, the same look as a fast food drive thru menu, and it communicates what it needs to essentially to the very lowest class served by the Fittes Institute: the completely unaware observer. The building is sleek, gold toned, and art deco, making the signs sort of a focal point for common citizens passing through. They're not oriented towards the institute's elite guests, who would have been introduced in a later season (rip) but they do communicate something to the audience about the gold standard that the Fittes name sets: Penelope and her family are a brand.
We already know that Fittes sets the standard among agencies from the scene where Lucy receives the Fittes manual with her Third Grade, as well as from the mention of the Fittes fund for the bereaved. But there's a pretty big difference between being an industry standard and being a household name; the scene where Lucy visits the Fittes Institute for the first time visually affirms that Fittes is the latter. To work at Fittes would indisputably have introduced Lucy to the realm of the Successful (tm).
Thus, the immediate cut from begging at Fittes' door to soliciting increasingly smaller agencies confirms to the viewer how lofty Lucy's dreams were. It also establishes how low she's gone to even consider joining Lockwood and Co. I think those electric signs really sold it for me!

On 29th February 1904 the Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, opened.
Designed by Bertie Crewe for Thomas Barrasford, the Pavilion Theatre opened at the corner of Renfield Street and Renfrew Street, Glasgow on the 29 February, 1904. It was regarded as luxurious for its time with its decor being described by the owners as “pure Louis XV”. An electrically operated sliding roof ensured good ventilation.
Performances in the early days were mainly variety, melodrama and pantomime. Many of the leading music hall artistes of the period appeared at the Pavilion, including Marie Lloyd, Little Tich, Harry Lauder, Florrie Forde, Will Fyffe, Sarah Bernhardt and a then unknown Charlie Chaplin.
Since the 1930s, the Pavilion began to host pantomimes with top name stars of the Scottish variety scene, such as Harry Gordon and Dave Willis. In more recent times it has produced plays, such as ‘The Sash’ and ‘The Steamie’.
The Pavilion Theatre is now the only privately run theatre in Scotland and one of a few unsubsidised independent theatres left in Britain.
“Defying all the odds, Glasgow’s Pavilion regularly purveys variety to this day. All the more remarkable as it is completely unsubsidised and receives no funding from the Scottish Arts Council and kindred bodies whose thoughts and cash are directed at higher cultural activities. It remains the last stronghold of a long music hall tradition in Europe’s City of Culture owing everything to a dedicated staff and patrons and nothing to the public purse.
With its imposing terra cotta facade, the Pavilion Theatre of Varieties was designed by Bertie Crewe in the grand manner for Thomas Barrasford. The domed ceiling was surmounted by an electrically controlled sliding roof for ventilation. Fine Rococo plasterwork on the circle, balcony and box fronts; decoration executed in pure Louis XV; handsome mahogany woodwork and the marble mosaic floor all lent the 1800 seat theatre an aura of splendour.
No less amusing than the dentist advertising in the Pavilion programme “painless extractions with nitrous oxide for 4/- (20p) or cocaine for 1/- (5p)”, were the press observations on the “fashionable company” which attended the Pavilion’s first house on 29th February,1904. We learn that “among the elite there was quite a preponderance of ladies and gentlemen of quality in evening dress”. Alas, class consciousness and respectability were all in Edwardian Britain!
The ‘forties and ‘fifties saw pantomime runs of sixteen weeks, the happy and hilarious summer seasons were emulated during the 1960s and early 1970s by Lex McLean. Another regular crowd puller to Renfield Street was Jack Milroy.
Lulu from Dennistoun (real name Marie Lawrie) broke box office records in 1975, Billy Connolly, Hector Nicol Andy Cameron portrayed their own distinctive brands of humour while Scottish songstresses Lena Zavaroni, , Sheena Easton, Lena Martell and Barbara Dickson also scored heavily with Pavilion audiences.
It was anything but plain sailing for the Pavilion and there was gloomy speculation of closure after incurring heavy financial losses in 1981. Spared the fate which befell the Queens, Metropole, Empire, Alhambra and Empress Theatres, the 80 years old Pavilion was rescued by James Glasgow and transformed into a modest profit maker. Smash-hit shows with Sydney Devine; spells from hypnotist Robert Halpern; pantomime with Denny Willis, and one night gigs from the foremost modern television entertainers have kept the cash tills registering.
The Pavilion also played a major role in the annual Mayfest – Glasgow’s International Festival of popular theatre, music, the arts and community programmes.
Little altered and virtually unspoilt since its inception, the seating capacity of 1449 is made up of 677 stalls, 341 circle, 413 balcony and 18 box seats. While the stiff shirts in chauffeur-driven cabs have given way to coach parties from the rural areas of Strathclyde and beyond, a policy of providing the best in live entertainment has been pursued consistently. The portents look good for the vibrant Pavilion Theatre of Varieties.”
The Pavillion is, in my view a survivor, even over the past few years tragedy has struck the area with a series of fires.

I'm sure you've addressed this before:
How come Bugs Bunny is occasionally staring me down with death eyes in the intro of a Looney Tunes cartoon? Why is he so mad?
this ask—like everything else in my inbox—has been ruminating for awhile, and part of that is because i didn’t have an answer! i truly did not know other than “uhhhhh Art Davis animates one version of it :)”. but. i am thrilled to say that i DO have some speculation! and it is complete speculation and interpretation, nothing more, but it’s something! SO
the first short to have that title variant is Tex Avery’s The Heckling Hare. it’s pretty important to note Avery’s involvement here—his Bugs was very wily and combative. it could depend on the needs of the cartoon—he’s pretty cool and calm in A Wild Hare, and at least comparatively so (save for some moments) in The Heckling Hare. Tortoise Beats Hare has him ranting and raving as soon as the cartoon starts, driven by rage and conceit throughout the whole thing; it’s been a few years since i’ve seen All This and Rabbit Stew, and i’ve only seen it once, but my recollection is that Bugs was pretty reactionary in that one too.
i think noting its attachment to The Heckling Hare in particular is also important because the cartoon’s titles follow that same principle—a confrontational Bugs looms over the typography, obscuring the audience’s view and thereby heckling even them, too. likewise, his arms are bent and on his hips, shadow cast at a diagonal angle, which immediately reads as confrontational and aggressive. i don’t think the Bugs on the shield logo was made explicitly for this cartoon and nothing else, but knowing that this short opens with a particularly aggressive tone, it does add some context as to why he behaves the way he does.
MY POINT BEING that Avery’s Bugs is much more aggressive than the Bugs we know today. thus, that was reflected in the opening titles—whereas most titles with cartoon characters in them were pleasant and amiable (Woody Woodpecker pecks holes and laughs! Popeye blows his pipe! Porky—later to be accompanied by Daffy—continually greets the audience with his happy, shining mug!), Bugs greets you with contempt and disdain. you’re intruding on his privacy; he makes a point to remind you that his time could be much better spent chewing carrots and luxuriating rather than entertaining your attention, but he’ll do it anyway.
obviously, Bugs got less abrasive as his personality was explored more in-depth. so, there comes a little bit of a dissonance when stretching into the mid ‘40s or so. that Art Davis variation (basically, the one where Bugs looks like Bugs) is fashioned after a synonymous intro that was more representative of the Bugs of its time. by 1945 or whenever the intro started appearing, he was much more mellow and less confrontational/disdainful, so having him seem so angry does kind of feel out of nowhere. but it isn’t! it just rides on the coattails of a previous variant that was more applicable for its time
#(if it’s not obvious i started drafting up my analysis of The Heckling Hare HAHA)#thanks for your patience and asking this! it’s fun to mull on#asks#mitchumsstinkums

Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 Menswear: My Favorite Looks and Aspirations
Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 Menswear: My Favorite Looks and Aspirations
January 22, 2025
As someone deeply inspired by fashion, music, and the intersection of art and culture, the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 Menswear show was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Pharrell Williams and Nigo delivered a collection that seamlessly fused streetwear and high fashion, all set against the iconic backdrop of the Louvre. The show opened with "One-Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy VII, instantly setting an epic and theatrical tone that captivated the audience. This choice of music not only showcased the boldness of the collection but also highlighted its connection to culture and storytelling.
The Collection as a Whole
The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 collection embodied a perfect harmony of the past and future. Pharrell and Nigo’s shared history in streetwear and Japanese subculture was evident in every piece, from monogrammed sneakers to tailored suits. The collection celebrated individuality, craftsmanship, and the concept of travel, bringing together diverse inspirations in a cohesive and powerful statement. Wide-leg trousers, pixelated camo, and intricate leatherwork paid homage to both early 2000s streetwear and classic luxury. The use of archival pieces from the designers' personal collections added layers of meaning, creating a visual narrative that was both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
My Favorite Looks
1. The Leather Trench
The all-black leather trench with gold accents exuded power and elegance. The structured silhouette, combined with the subtle checkerboard detailing, elevated it beyond a simple statement piece. Paired with a vintage-inspired suitcase, this look screamed modern nomad—someone always on the move, but in undeniable style.
2. Leopard Print Overcoat
The leopard print coat brought an audacious energy to the runway. It struck a balance between dandyism and streetwear, which is no easy feat. The rich, warm tones and oversized cut felt effortlessly chic, making it a standout piece that I’d love to see in my wardrobe.
3. The Tweed Suit
Tweed has a timeless appeal, and seeing it reimagined in an oversized silhouette with a hint of shimmer added a fresh twist. The subtle pink flecks in the fabric gave the suit a unique texture, while the compact, structured bag added a layer of practicality and sophistication.
4. Croc-Embossed Leather Jacket
The croc-embossed leather bomber with cargo pants was an edgy take on luxury. The craftsmanship in the embossed detailing was unmatched, and the contrast between the sleek jacket and utilitarian pants showcased the versatility of the collection.
5. Classic Black Suit with a Twist
The black suit was redefined with sharp tailoring and a whimsical touch of color through the pastel green bag. This look felt like a nod to the brand’s roots in travel while embracing modern minimalism.
6. Varsity Jacket Elegance
Pharrell and Nigo’s streetwear roots were on full display with the deep burgundy varsity jacket. Paired with tailored trousers, it embodied the perfect mix of nostalgia and refinement. The intricate embroidery and subtle LV logos paid homage to the duo’s history in bridging street and luxury fashion.
7. Monogrammed Sneakers
No collection is complete without footwear, and the LV monogrammed sneakers in black and orange were showstoppers. Both pairs balanced boldness and simplicity, making them versatile enough to pair with high-fashion looks or streetwear staples.
Additional Standout Looks
8. The Chocolate Brown Suit
This double-breasted suit in a rich chocolate hue was elevated by the pastel pink tie and mustard yellow bag. It was a masterclass in combining traditional tailoring with playful modernity.
9. Blue Bomber and Denim Bag
The navy bomber jacket paired with wide-leg trousers and a denim duffle bag brought an effortlessly cool vibe. The layering and texture of this look captured the essence of urban sophistication.
10. Pastel Blue Croc Jacket
A pastel blue croc-embossed jacket paired with beige trousers felt like a fresh take on casual luxury. The structured yet relaxed silhouette made it a versatile piece for both day and night.
11. Tan Shearling Bomber
The tan bomber with shearling accents paired with cream trousers was a standout. It brought warmth and comfort while maintaining the high-fashion edge of the collection.
12. Denim Double-Breasted Suit
This look featured a denim suit with subtle pink stitching details, paired with a mustard yellow bag. The retro-modern aesthetic was a bold statement of individuality.
13. Gray Varsity Jacket with Neon Accent
The gray varsity jacket featuring a bold neon logo brought a youthful energy to the collection. Paired with cargo pants and a sleek black bag, it exemplified Pharrell and Nigo’s ability to bridge high fashion with street culture.
My Aspirations with Louis Vuitton
Attending a Louis Vuitton show has always been a dream of mine. The thought of walking through the mirrored box at the Louvre (or wherever the next one will be) feeling the energy of the crowd and witnessing the artistry of the pieces up close, fills me with excitement. Beyond attending, I’d love to walk in a show, representing the intersection of art and music while wearing a look that tells my story.
Even more, I envision one of my tracks playing as models grace the runway. Fashion and music are inseparable; each enhances the other. My sound—a fusion of confidence, introspection, and culture—would perfectly complement the bold visions of Louis Vuitton.
How long would yall think it’d take me to get an invite to a LV show? I need to walk a show one day for sure !

Today I decided to completely settle in your inbox /j This is for fic writer asks yeah
14 (I'm always very interested to know where people get their inspiration from!), 17, 22, 24
Welcome back! We should return to DMs eventually thoughh~ (Apologies for how long this took, I needed to spend some time on these answers)
Loved your latest Khanpella art <3
14. Where do you get your inspiration? (I love asking this as well!)
I pay attention to ‘deficiencies’ in other art, or elements I long for—to make something so unlike existing media it’ll leave the audience just slightly confused, not completely lost but, “Hm, not sure what to compare this to or label it.” I turn to other art that have inspired such a reaction, especially if I was too young to put words to the foreign emotion.
Many premises were born from big social functions, I keep an eye out for people's quirks, their chemistry with each other, the experiences they narrate, and how they make *me* feel most of all. Typically, my friends and family make cameos in my writing.
And fashion has been the springboard of many characters! Pieces and outfits evoke archetypes, so I consider what fresh points I could make about them and try to say something new.
Writing's also a cathartic medium for my weirdly specific angsts and frustrations. That's where the raw, vulnerable material is!
17. Talk about your writing and editing process.
I start with the 'centerpiece' scene: the moment where the dialogue and visuals strikes me strongly enough to take to the keyboard, and work around it.
While plotting, I structure the progression so the dominant mood becomes more and more pronounced until it hits a climax. I also try to withhold what I want out of it for as long as I can, potentially forever, if I don’t earn it by the end.
And I plant references to the beginning in the ending & vice versa (ie foreshadowing) to keep the entire work cohesive.
In editing the prose, I fish for synonyms familiar enough that the reader won’t have to interrupt immersion by reaching for a dictionary, but a little unusual (e.g. “ill humor” instead of “bad mood”).
Not sure where to fit this but also, in dressing the characters for scenes, I browse luxury fashion retailers online & take notes on how the editor describes the pieces.
22. Do you ever worry about public reaction to what you're writing? How do you get past that?
I know you've had similar concerns. As far as Pathologic goes, not really; few associate my AO3 account with myself. For my original fiction, I'm more troubled by the reaction of those who know me than that of the public... I haven't gotten past that. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
24. How do you recharge when you're not feeling creative?
I tap into the five senses & my sense of smell is most important (ie I layer perfumes on me!) I once got over weeks of writer's block by smelling a 10-month-old baby's scalp. But to be receptive to senses, I need to be under-stimulated all day—no loud music or screen time—and set the tone for that in the morning.
I revisit childhood fascinations I haven't touched in a while, like lifestyle magazines, the more “dull” the better. My brain fog goes away in a snap. Like an organ on a diet, what I deny my mind is as important as what it's fed.
And when I attend social functions (see above), I come home blazing. Being an extrovert helps; my energy feeds off company.
