so i gave in and started binging riverdale on netflix while i was sick last week. i knew it contained a lot of weird references that wouldn't land with any actual teen audience but this one stands out as the oddest.

every other media reference/homage seems to be about noir, horror (both gothic and slasher), prisons and murder, and general themes of dark americana, then they throw in one for a weepy british period drama about women's healthcare where the only commonality with the setting of riverdale is proximity to old nuns.

I can imagine Emmet meeting sneasler!Ingo. Emmet just thinks Ingo is an exhausted, overworked Dad to sneaslets. Then Akari introduces the sneasler as her Dad and considering the post where she said my dad doesn't smile, Emmet connects the skrunkly sneasler to Ingo.

And then realizes that there are sneaslets. There's a female sneasler hanging around Ingo. They're famaliar with each other. Ingo is helping take care of the sneaslets.

hello i see you like mp100 and life series so it is my sworn duty to ask: if whatever mp100 characters you can think of were shoved into the life series, which gimmick do you think each of them would like/hate most

HEY im very new to the life series lol I havent seen them all yet (Ive only seen some povs on Secret, Wild, Double (In that order)) So I may get some things wrong but ill try lol :D

3rd Life -

Likes: This is basically the base gimmick i believe. I believe pre-character arc sho would like this one. Its literally unhindered by gimmicks, and is just a true show of strength and battle intellegence.

Dislikes: I dont really see anyone really hating simply the base gimmick. Maybe the telepathy club as a whole, since they operate more on

Last life -

likes: I believe this is the boogeyman one? From what I hear it kinda sounds like Mogami? Since people distrust eachother alot, Day one allies (like Bigb and cleo (?)) Betray eachother at a whim, and red names are kicked out of the group immediately, it seems like this gimmick is meant to brew inate distrust and hate for eachother so I think its the closest to his. Maybe pre-character arc Teru would thrive here to, i think.

Dislikes: Honestly Mob likely dislikes this one alot for the same reason mogami clearly likes it. If mob ever got the boogeyman curse i dont think he could willingly go through with it, and if anyone boogyemaned him he would break. All of the body improvement club would hate this one as well as it encourages betraying temates and not working together towards end goals.

Double life - This one I think goes to Serizawa the most Honestly. A lot of the times he relies heavily on other people to get out of his shell, so an assigned partner would help him out alot here. I feel like mob would be inn a simalar boat here,

Dislikes: Pre-character Arc dimple would hate this. The fact he would have to work with people he would generally disregard otherwise. I also think Tsubomi would dislike this, as she'd have fundamentally lose what little independence she would have, and her self inflicted responsibility to upkeep her perfectly calm and polite personality in a murder game while constantly being observed by her partner.

Limited life - This gimmick is easily the one im least famaliar with but I think Ritsu could atleast work with this gimmick decently. Not nessacarily sure if he would like it, but between his ability to study keep up with the student council and maintain heavy respect among his peers in the school, he already knows how to micromanage time. Its really not to different as to what he does now.

Dislikes: Reigen easily. I think a constant indecator of how his life is being wasted right above his head would drive him crazy. He already feels like he wasted it now, but seeing it getting closer to the end by the second while he cant do anything about it would break him.

Secret life - I feel like Mezato ichi would like this one honestly. She enjoys observing and documenting strange events and behavior from people, and since this . She'd be great at guessing people's tasks on yellow I think. Reigen probably wouldnt enjoy this one as much as mezato but he could read and get through his tasks pretty good as well.

Dislikes: IDK i think mob again dislikes this one. not being able to really read or trust people here would bother him alot. I dont really see anyone hating this one to badly though honestly.

Wild life - I feel like Tome would like this one alot. It seems to be the most lighthearted of the series, and its all about discorvering things about the unknown. Theres been no major betrayals that im aware of, even in late series superpower episode people still just want to hang out and discover whats happening around them.

Dislikes: Ritsu. I feel like he likes the familiarity he's built for himself and constantly changing day to day gimmick would mess with him alot.

Fig - I have the most to say about this one lmao

First impression: So since Fantasy High was the first actual play I watched, I was not famaliar with Emily Axford, and I thought Fig would be a stereotypical rebellious character. Funny and likeable, but not a character I'd become emotionally attached to.

Impression now: I know the power of Emily Axford now. That rebellion comes from a place of such deep care for the people and world around her, and it pretty much cracks my heart open. Would die for.

Favorite moment: "The you that appears in Ayda's life is not the illusion. It's really you." This scene is constantly rotating in the back of my mind, ready to devastate me at any moment.

Idea for a story: Ohh, I'm not so good with plots, but any deep exploration of her relationship with Sandra Lynn is something I want to read.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think I still believe this, but at a time I thought her being secretive about Ayda was OOC given how much of an open book she was about everything else. But hearing Emily talk about it and how clearly special it is to her, I see that relationship holding a particular space with Fig.

Favorite relationship: Controversial not to pick Ayda, but her and Sandra Lynn. "You're allowed to be a complex person."

Favorite headcanon: She invites Ayda and Adaine to hang out with her dads to try and make up for their relationships with theirs

First impression: Oh my God Emily and Lou are playing chaotic cousins, this is everything I never knew I wanted.

Impression now: The same, but with the addition of "oh and she's deeply in love with a woman, thank you Emily Axford for your service."

Favorite moment: The tea scene with Rue. "A slightly shorter chair." Gift of gab. All the trickery. Iconic cousin behaviour.

Idea for a story: Her introducting Squawk to Esme and Peep, full of hijinks.

Unpopular opinion: I don't know if this is unpopular, and it wasn't Chrip's role in the season, but I would've loved more depth pertaining to Esme and Peep. I just know how Emily can ruin me.

Favorite relationship: COUSIN.

Favorite headcanon: Playing with Peep in the woods and pretending that mundane, mortal things are magic - just a classic mom playing make believe with her kid.

Sundry Sidney

First impression: Emily is playing a droid and that is important to her, so it is also important to me.

Impression now: So much fun, some sneaky Emily Axford depth in there.

Favorite moment: Junkmother, without question.

Idea for a story: Something something her and Barry comparing how they relate to Warfare Whitneys and the Barrys, something something.

Unpopular opinion: Probably my least favourite Emily PC but Startstruck's also my least favourite season. I just want more emotional devastation with my comedy, if you can't tell.

Favorite relationship: NUTS AND BOLTS, ANDROIDS AND STEROIDS.

Favorite headcanon: It's definitely my Axmurph bias leaking through, but she's FWB with Barry Syx.

Sometimes, Tweek could feel the pressure of his parents down his back even when he was so far away from them. The only time it wasn’t a screaming siren in his head was when he could hang out with Craig, but that was still rare. It was scary how often the siren and the pressure would force their way into his head when he was alone, as if he was nothing more than a soundbox for testing terrible feelings.

His scratching started not long after his parents had cracked down on his outside time, citing that ‘his chores had been put off for his silly down time’. He knew that he had finished his chores that week, he had! What had been left off the list that had gotten him in trouble? He’d ended up having to work until his hands had blistered in order to get his little free time he had back, and god, it had hurt later.

Craig had frowned when he first saw him scratching at his head, then his neck. It had just made Tweek scratch harder at the idea that he had upset his boyfriend. Said boyfriend had taken to holding his hand when the scratching got worse, and then to side holding him while they walked to keep his arms pinned down when he yanked his hands back to rake his nails down his skin.

Three months in, the pressure and the sirens had started to howl even when he was with Craig. He knew that his parents had installed a new parenting app onto his phone when he had handed it over for the night. It tracked and reported his location, as well as how long he spent at any certain place. They could even lock his phone down from theirs, leaving him to race home to figure out what they needed so he could actually text his friends again. He wanted to scream or cry, whichever would make his parents and the pressure go away. As it turns out, it was both.

Craig had startled back towards his pillow when the blonde had let out a wail at his cell’s screen. Tweek had jolted upwards and almost hit his head on the low-hanging lights that he and Craig had hung up last year when it was too dark to see but too late to turn on the ceiling light. A mix between a sob and a proper scream escaped from his lips before he could stop it, his fist coming up to choke the rest off. The feeling of his teeth sinking into tender flesh almost relieved his panic, but the all-encompassing fear that was felt when he re-read his text had him shaking harder.

“Tweek, dude, what’s wrong?” Craig asked, his eyes following Tweek’s movements. He reached up to removed his boyfriend’s hand out of his mouth, worried about the amount of pressure he was applying to his own skin.

Instead of a verbal answer, the phone was shoved towards him. With a glance back up to Tweek, Craig took the cell and read over the text. He could feel his blood starting to boil the more he read, and it wasn’t long before he was typing back. He made sure to sign his name before sending it back out to Tweek’s shitstains of parents, and he tossed the phone to the bottom of the bed. With a sigh, Craig rubbed his eyes before he heard a sadly famaliar noise. He shot his head up in time to watch Tweek pull at his hair, twisting and pulling it in different directions as he scrapped at his face. It was scary to watch, like a snake trying to eat itself.

With a quick movement, he pinned Tweek down onto the bed and flopped down. He waited until the other boy had stopped struggling before rolling and taking him into a tight hug, fingers laced into his hair with gentle movements. It wasn’t long before Tweek’s crying picked up again, wails and almost whispered screams reverbating against the walls. It was probably good that Craig’s parents were out of town.

It took about thirty minutes for his crying to settle down, but when it did Tweek took a moment to wipe the tears from his face and collect himself. Craig simply placed his chin on top of Tweek’s head and closed his eyes. This was nice, this was okay, this was peaceful….Until the phone started to chime.

With a twitch, the blonde tried to lean up to grab his phone but was stopped by the raven. He huffed and tried again, yet again to be stopped.

“Dude, I need to respond back. I’ll get in trouble!” He murmured into Craig’s shirt, almost wishing he could simply disappear.

“If they want to talk, they can come here and do it. You are staying here tonight.” Craig’s tone spoke of no argument, and Tweek didn’t have the energy to make one.

With a pout, Tweek’s head flopped back down onto his boyfriend’s chest. He grumbled a little, more for show than anything else before closing his eyes as well. The siren was still there, but much more mellowed. It was a moment before he thought to ask, “Hey, what did you even tell them?”

“Oh,” Craig started, “Just to fuck off and suck my dick. Not much.”

Tweek snorted and hit the raven’s shoulder gently. The smile on his face was genuine and he couldn’t help but feel happy that Craig had stood between him and his parents.

“Dick.” He laughed out.

“Pussy.” He heard back.

If he had fallen asleep to the sound of Craig’s breathing and the multiple chimes of his phone, he wouldn’t deny if asked.

Do you think Carla would be willing to become a ghoul if it meant it will heal his Endzeit?

I'm not sure if you're asking because you're not famaliar with Carla's LE route (in which case please check out this post where you can find a translation of it and ignore the rest of my answer because spoilers)

If however you are familar with the route and are asking what I think you're asking then see my answer below the cut:

Okay so if you're familar with Carla's LE route, then I can only assume that you're asking whether I think it's in character for him to be willing to become a ghoul to heal his Endzeit.

In the context of LE, I think he's 100% in character in all of his endings. In the vampire ending, he makes the choice to become a ghoul partly for Yui and partly to live in order get revenge on Kino, while in his manservant ending, he also ends up as a ghoul but it turns him into a shell of himself.

In the vampire ending, while he's pretty much lost hope for the founder race (up until Yui's reveal at the end), he loves Yui enough that he's willing to sacrifice for her without losing himself in the process. Meanwhile the manservant ending is reached through different choices, thus the relationship isn't the same and so Carla ends up being overwhelmed by everything he's lost rather than being able to focus on what he still has.

If we're looking at this outside of the context of LE, I think whether Carla would make that choice would depend on the circumstances. Truthfully, unless he has an S/O who's managed to open his heart up then I don't see him making the choice to become a ghoul. In order to make that decision, he has to care enough about something in order to be prepared to make that sacrifice.

Just having Shin around isn't going to cut it, because Carla wouldn't want Shin to see him clinging to life via such an undiginified (from Carla's POV) method. I think maybe if he had young kids but something had happened to his S/O then he might also go through with it, but if the kids are grown enough that they can service on their own then he'd choose to join his S/O in the afterlife.

tai deciding shauna is the only problem ruining their lives is so funny and hypocritical, and not just bc she spent most of this season trying to sacrifice innocent strangers to save van and in the late s3 eps teen taissa sided with shauna and lottie to keep the team out in the wilderness and was willing to kill hannah if not mari. (or even just bc they're all at fault for natalie's death with shauna calling for the hunt and taivan calling off the pysch hold for lottie while doing nothing to actually help her that night or after) no, adult tai has always been neck and neck with adult shauna doing the Most, as the two Most Dangerous, Most Bad at Wifeness and Motherhood, Most In Denial and Most Deceitful. let's not forget tai broke the team's pact first by running for public office and sending jessica to interrogate her old friends, not trusting them not to betray her somehow (distrust and suspicion of people who didn't deserve it, sound famaliar?) then lying to shauna's face about not knowing jessica. shauna's betrayal by leaving evidence around was sloppier and she did frame adam post-death to get the others to help cover up her and jeff's crimes, but i still don't think taissa has much room to judge there. shauna had a risky affair through the cover of a fictitous book club so she could feel like a wild teenager again, while taissa lied to simone about being willing to drop out of her state senate race, proving that she cared more for her ambition than her own or her son's mental health. the fact that she has an alterego who can be blamed for beheading the family dog does a lot of work making her look less bad than shauna, tho admittedly shauna does keep pulling ahead in other ways. tai drove her wife away and then abandoned her in the hospital in a coma she caused not checking in on her son again for all of s2, but shauna was not only still lying to her husband if not still cheating (bc she killed her sidepiece), she also made her daughter an accessory after the fact to murder and then told callie she should have just fucked Officer Pornstache. taissa accidentally caused a waiter's death through dining and dashing, but shauna had already tried to fight off a carjacker with his gun and then tracked her van to a chop shop where she was excited by the chance to shoot the guy there just for the hell of it. tai brought her lover along to visit her estranged wife and son for the first time since putting simone in a coma, but shauna had already outdone her by fucking her sidepiece in her family home while her family still lived there, actually fucking him in the bed she still shared with her (as yet) unestranged husband. shauna told the taylors she didn't even like callie and taissa needed van to remind her that she was still legally married. taissa cut out her dead gf's heart and chomped on it still warm as a gesture of love, after shauna had already bit off a chunk of her fakedead ex-gf's arm and tried to force auto-cannibalism on her as a gesture of hate. oh, but the reason shauna's still not too far ahead? misty had accused both of them, not just shauna, of lottie's murder one right after the other. and at the time taissa felt like the more likely suspect!
