i haven't been able to articulate my thoughts ever since i read the atlantic's article on how meta scrapped millions of books from libgen to train its AI (read it here without the paywall).

my book has been fed into a machine controlled by people who do not value humans or their art. i don't know if my anger surpasses the terror i'm filled with. they can steal and if you're an indie author like me, your chances of fighting back is very low.

it's not a system built to protect the emotional and physical labor of artists. the greed of people creating and running these machines has no bounds, it is very real and it will destroy us.
