Weird

So today there was some kid in a suit wandering around by the lab, I think maybe he was lost or something.  I was about to go talk try and help him find his way around, but Dr. Phillips grabbed me by the sleeve and said to leave him be.  He was like... really forceful about it.  Kinda freaked me out a bit.  He said something about a company policy that I didn't catch, and to leave it to security.  :?

Oh well.

Anyway; other than that, pretty normal day.  Dr. Crash somehow set his beard on fire, so that was... terrifying and hilarious. XD

Took a nap after work, so I'm just getting online now.  xp

steve with a competence kink because everything his whole life has always been done by someone else like his parents paid for decorators and everything else - obviously ! - so when billy starts doing odd jobs around their shitty little apartment without even having to think about it, steve gets so hard he nearly passes out

the whole karen storyline will always be soo annoying to me because as a concept, i don’t hate it. like yeah, it sucks but that’s the point and it could’ve been good that way. it makes an incredible amount of sense for billy to end up in that situation for a million different reasons but it just .. wasn’t played out like that. it could’ve been layered and heartbreaking and fucked up but instead it got played for sexiness points which is just weird as hell to do when the creators spent the whole time demonising billy aka, you know, the victim

once again thinking about billy growing up with his mom, the two of them running from neil and jumping from place to place to avoid him catching up with them and eventually settling somewhere for a bit and making it to 1983 but then the doorbell goes one day and it’s neil, so. they have to run again and end up in hawkins for some reason and bam! king steve meets mamas boy billy. flowery shirts, swim team ‘n all ..

billy who’s told by neil in his early teens that his mom is dead and doesn’t get to go to the funeral and then the big move happens and billy meets steve and they hook up and then hook up again and billy falls but steve falls harder, so hard that he just hops right on in the car when billy tells steve that he’s leaving for california as soon as he graduates and they move into a trailer near the beach and steve’s out buying groceries one day when he bumps into a woman who looks crazy familiar but he just can’t quite place it until he’s on the verge of falling asleep and looks over billy’s shoulder at the little photo frame propped up on his bedside table and it hits him.

and, see. now steve’s gotta find a way to try and bring it up. wonders if he even should, considering. because billy’s always reasoned that if she didn’t get ill, his mom would’ve come back for him but-

now steve knows the truth.

and it’s ugly and it’s painful and steve’s acting weird because every time he looks at billy he thinks about her and he’s trying to keep billy from going anywhere he might bump into her until steve can just work out how to tell him ..
