Drake’s FW23 Lookbook
There’s a reason menswear enthusiasts crave the cold season: layering. The ability to delve into the fundamentals of styling to create complex attires that appear seamlessly non chalant.
An art in itself that once mastered, as any other, allows it user to strive for greatness and elevation amidst his peers. Something quite evident in all of the pictures above.
A masterclass in dressing for the season, bearing in mind not only aesthetic but functionality as well. The collection is now available online at Drake’s official website, here.

We are having a wonderful holiday in London England. Today we visited the Liberty of London store. It is a beautiful store spread over four floors. I made some purchases and looked and looked at all the lovely things. Sadly I could not fit the chair in the last pic into my tote bag to bring home. It would be perfect in my sewing room.

Though much of London did not survive the Blitz, the oldest house in the city remains standing. Shortened over the years, Cloth Fair was once a market place teeming with textile merchants and vendors.

🎨 David: "Oh, that I had wings like a Dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest." Psalm 55:6, 1865
by Frederic Leighton 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
oil on fabric, 96.5 x 122.5 cm
Cleveland Museum of Art, USA
About the artwork:
This painting depicts the biblical King David, a frequent subject in art due to his complex character and dramatic life as described in the scriptures. The chosen verse, Psalm 55:6, expresses David’s desire for escape from the turmoil surrounding him, a theme that Leighton visualizes with a reflective and evocative representation of David yearning for peace.
In this work, David might be depicted in a moment of solitude and contemplation, perhaps looking towards the heavens or in a pose that suggests his longing for escape. The composition would likely emphasize the emotional intensity of the scene through the use of dramatic lighting and shadow, highlighting David's expression and the setting around him, which could be either a palace or a secluded outdoor space, adding to the sense of isolation and contemplation.
