Every jaw in the room dropped as the tv screen went blank. The lights in the house following suit as they cut out with an electric buzz in the air.

“Someone call Kitten now!” Yoongi yells in the darkness.

You had texted the group to say you were running late, but you were on your way to dinner. The others had worn their costumes, preparing the meal together when Taehyung had called them all into the living room.

“It’s a Halloween prank,” Namjoon tries to rationalise, but his breathing is heavy. “The news channels are obviously playing a prank.”

“It didn’t look like a prank Hyung,” Jimin runs his fingers through his hair, they’re all standing scared still. “And even if it was the news channel didn’t cut our power.”

“Fine then it’s a disease or a new virus, it is NOT zombies.”

“Sunshine!” You finally picked up Hobi’s call, the faint light from his phone lighting the side of his face. The room is so quiet they can all hear your screams. “Sunshine?”

“Hobi help!” The screams are followed by low groaning in the background of the call, the sounds of flesh being ripped through with decaying teeth.

“Kitten!” Yoongi yells, tripping over furniture to get to Hobi who had been petrified into a catatonic state.

And then, silence. There isn’t a single sound, and they all wait with baited breath. They feel the thud of all their hearts hitting the floor when a low moan comes through the line, your voice, there’s no mistaking it but it’s warped, inhuman.

“Bunny?” Jungkook whispers, his eyes watering as his heart picks up in pace.

The line cuts and they’re all left to the sound of their breathing.

“This isn’t happening,” Jimin almost tears his hair out by its roots. “CALL HER BACK!”

“We have to go get her,” Jin is shaking where he stands, his feet cemented to the ground but he knows he has to move. Whatever was going on he knew one thing, you were in danger.

“Everyone turn on your phones flash-“

Their souls jump out of their skins as a body slams into the living room window, their eyes going wide with horror as they take in the face in the dark. They can make out no discernible features but they can see the way his face presses against the glass. The silence that follows is deafening, not a breath, not a beat, until they see a tongue lick the surface of the window as if tasting them through it.

“What the actual fuck,” Yoongi breathes, terrified to speak a decibel louder.

The flood lights turn on outside, detecting movement although a little late but it reveals the body’s features and their eyes nearly fall out of their sockets. His entire body is decaying, his eyes set on them, unblinking, his clothes torn to reveal flesh and flies leaving no question what this creature was. But worse, behind him, what started out as a blur that drew closer, a hoard moving towards their home.

“We need to move,” Namjoon’s brain starts kicking into gear, survival mode fighting with instinct to shut down and freeze.

“And go where, we’re sitting ducks,” Jimin panics.

They all turn to the sound of another bang, closer, louder but they all knew what it was… the front door had been breached, they were in the house.

The low moan of their intruder echoes through the dark hallway.

“We need something to fight,” Jungkook whispers, his eyes darting around in the dark, their backs to the repeated thuds on the window from their other guests.

“Knives?” Jimin suggests.

“The kitchens too far,” Taehyung mumbles.

The lights of the hallway start flickering, the living room lights flickering just a second after, the pattern repeats making the men look around desperately for something to be armed with, but nothing usable is in sight.

“We can’t stand here, we have to run,” Jimin starts to hyperventilate.

“He’s right,” Yoongi agrees, tugging the still shell shocked Hoseok to snap out of it.

Jin’s whole body is vibrating with how hard he’s shaking, he knows whatever is in the house can sense them, the groans getting louder and the hoard behind the window getting more vocal with the frustration of a barrier between them and their next meal. He doesn’t hear what words are being said in the room, his hearts thumping in his ears, the blood draining out of him. He feels someone grab his hand, the maknae’s mouth moves in front of him but he can’t make out the words.

He’s being pulled into the hallway, the scene moving almost in slow motion as his brain fails to comprehend the scene but one thing wakes him up. They’re moving closer to the sound, they were running straight into danger.

It was too late, their bodies collided in the hallway, their attempts of escape stopped before they could even begin. A familiar figure stands before them, a silhouette they could make out even if they were blind.

“Baby-“

The lights flicker and the fills with their screams at the horror of their zombified girlfriend before them. They all scream except from one who covers his mouth and his laughter.

Thanks so much!! Yeah actually you remind me of my very sweet, very close irl friend who is one of, if not the first person I ever told about my plans for this IF when I was starting out. She's ace and doesn't enjoy romance, but sometimes likes it in fiction (only sometimes) so she wasn't immediately convinced it would be for her, but after playing, she told me she loves Anita so much she just wants to hang out with her all day.

Ender and I had the best day yesterday! It was nothing special, just a great day.

First, we went to the gym with my friends. The power went out as soon as we got there, but we stayed and got it done 🤣 Then we went and rucked in the park while Ender rode his bike, then my friends left and Ender and I played at the playground until it started to rain too hard, so we went to Panera (where it was $28 dollars for my five year old and I to each have a lunch and get a shared lemonade and a cookie! 🤯🤯🤯 I love Panera, but wow, it do be costing!) grabbed some Starbucks, and came home to do jigsaw puzzles and crafts (the mondo llama summer craft kits from Target are so good right now, FYI). Then Ender played a little Luigi’s Mansion while I cleaned up a bit, and then we made spaghetti together, Ender did a bath bomb, then when he was getting out of the bath he decided he wanted to pretend he was a fish coming to live on the land for the first time - which was the perfect segway into watching Luca 🤣 - then we read some books, and went to bed. That 8pm bedtime for both of us plus the small dog is elite and I will be so sad the day I have to give it up and stay up later 🤣

Anyway, I love five year old Ender, he is so sweet and fun, and I really want to make the most out of our “last” summer together before he starts school full time and it isn’t just us all the time any more. We are going to go see the Garfield movie this week, and I’m going to try and plan another short destination hike for this week as well. I’m so happy I’m feeling better and have the energy to do things like this again!

"Martin is a tough but kind man, who will not tolerate unfairness or injustice, so long as he is breathing. MC would describe him as always having a mischievous glint in his eye, and he loves a good joke. He is also bisexual, and has an interest in the local baker, a man named Gregory who has been his friend for several years."

Martin and Gregory are planned to have a little background romance that MC will have opportunities to comment on (and if you'd like, encourage)! 🤭

As for MC's mother, I unfortunately want to keep her very vague to leave room for player headcanons, since MC canonly takes so much after their mother, y'know? You're very right about how they fell in love though, it was a very fairytale-esque romance. Martin was a very handsome Knight (in this universe that means he lead soldiers) and him and MC's mother fell for each other very hard. They eventually got married and moved to Lest, where they spent their savings to purchase an old tavern that Martin named the 'Fool's March' (which became MC's childhood home). Martin and MC's mom had a very sweet and respectful relationship, and Martin misses her all the time after her passing, but he knows she would want him to look back on their time fondly, and not with grief. He very much embodies that belief and choice, I think.

The month of June saw a marked improvement in Molly’s spirits. In the nearly two months since she became Mrs Holmes, she had settled into a happy, busy routine. Her mornings, weather permitting, were spent with Mr Martin, tending to the hives and harvesting their honey, or with Nellie and Ruth in the vegetable garden. Of course, there were days the weather did not permit, and she was forced to stay indoors, but she found ample enough means to pass the time, as she and Mrs Martin set about planning renovations to the more outdated rooms within the house. When not making such plans, she wrote to her parents, who were now settled in Surrey for the summer, taking care to give them the impression that Mr Holmes was in Kent with her, without saying so outright, and that she was perfectly content. The latter was almost the truth.

Each day at about noon, she took a respite with Mrs Martin, eating a light meal and learning all there was to know about the estate, the town, and the people living within her home. Anne, of course, had been her lady’s maid for a few years at least, but she was eager to know each of her servants, and the lives they had lived.

This may be a difficult conversation to have “internally”, albeit an honest one 🔪 but the LORD is saying “Speak your truth”. God has given YOU authority. Whatever you have to say on this issue is correct and the other person may not like it but it is in alignment with the will of God 🇮🇱 Find common ground because ultimately you both want Victory in this situation.

I know Oscar Wilde’s quote is graphic but it’s clear to me the LORD is trying to convey a serious message 👀 As always take it to the LORD in prayer 🙏🏾 This is a very *specific* message and not for everyone. See the following scripture below because you may need to bring in some more levelheaded advisors.

Especially because I tend to go down the rabbithole of research and end up writing something that I feel is as accurate as it can be for someone that doesn't really know what they're talking about and just started learning that day. The beginning of the Rabbit Hole

Hello everyone.

Come follow along the rabbit 🐇 hole and the adventure begin.

This is baby girl (I have not officially named her yet); she is about to get outfitted for her Overlanding expeditions. We finally got the last piece we needed to begin the buildup. It's funny how the first piece of equipment we ordered was the last to arrive. There were some issues with the shipping on the company's side. In the end, they got it to us.

In the pictures, you see her just stock. No added extras, just straight off the showroom floor (well three years ago when we bought her). She is a beautiful ride. I just fell in love with that army green color. She is my third one. I did have a black one, swapped it in for a gray one and the dealership wanted to do a buy back again on that one, I was like no, no no....that is how we ended up with the gray one. You know, things just happen and me a Taz went to see what they had to offer....three hours later Taz and I and baby girl drove off the lot. It was that army green. It just stole my heart.

For three years I didn't know what to do with her. I kept saying that the only dirt she is going to see is off the roadway. Then in October (the day was the 21st 2023) we took Taz's and Dwights car to Mopar's on the Beach event. They went walking around and I stayed at the car when Taz came back and said there was something I needed to see.

Well, let's just say that what I needed to see was a rabbit 🐇 hole opening up. There was this jeep there that had a built-on awning, she had it opened up and it was so cool. I was like, I want that on my runner, Taz told me they do make them, and the rabbit 🐇 hole opened up and swallowed us both up.

So, to do the awning for my 4Runner you have to replace the roof rack. The search began. looking at any and all available roof racks for the awning that we both agreed to.

Oh yes that one right there, I really like that awning, it goes all the way around the vehicle. it will go good with the new tent you won at an auction for the car show you went to (on October 28, 2023). Did we need the new tent. NO, no we did not. We have a perfectly good 5th wheel camper, and we also have an (old, old) tent. We take it with us in the camper just in case. Now we have this new 6-person tent that we can put in the 4Runner to use with the awning.

Just a little FYI about Taz and me. We are campers. We can go tent camping to 5th wheel camper camping. Either way is good for us. The rv is stocked and ready (other than food and clothes) and the old tent, well that is ready also. We keep everything in totes. Grab the tent tote and the tote that goes with the tent that holds the Coleman stove and pots and pans, etc. and off we go. The only thing about tent camping that I don't really like is when it rains, water usually seeps up from the ground. I grew up camping and fishing and the outdoors. So many memories come rushing back, wait...now I am rambling and getting off topic. OOOPs 🤣🤣🤣😁

Back to the rabbi🐇t hole. Out of nowhere Taz sends me a link to a roof top tent. I was like what is that? and he was like a roof top ten, check it out. Ok little rabbits, keep digging in that hole. We set together over several days and look at all the different website, watch many different YouTube videos of the tents and came across the one we both really like. Dang nab it black Friday sales.

🐰Roof top tent ordered (surprise from Taz) Nov 6th --- check -- Level three of the rabbit hole.

The installation will begin over Thanksgiving. I will post more pictures and show you how she is coming along.

Stay tuned as the 🐰rabbit hole gets deeper and deeper. We have many other plans for her. BTW -- I called my daughter "Little Pooh" and told her I am spending her inheritance. 😂😂 She said ok mom....have fun. ❤️😘

I've been consciously compartmentalizing the "different canons" characterization for our mischief maker since ~2017. So I've gotten a little practice in.

I treat most MCU releases since about 2016(and fans thereof) like they're a ship that's not my thing and filter it out or scroll past.

I know I will never relate to the parts of fandom who arrived after this character's onscreen history was intentionally ignored to be chiefly used as a joke and casually, graphically discarded by writers/directors who've claimed they simply did not know what to do with him because he's too powerful and kept fucking up their story plan if he'd lived.

So... I still embrace that otherness he was made of, built upon, and magnificently displayed (2011-2013) which spoke deeply to my own otherness and sense of mischief.

I won't try to convince anyone of anything, I won't try to change hearts or minds, people will do as they do. Many took Thor(2011) at face value and completely missed all the nuance and depth of Loki's character from the beginning. They saw jealousy as it was bluntly pointed out for them, but completely overlooked how Loki was actually, frequently treated as lesser, from a race that was entirely vilified and lied to about it, missed all nuance of any of Loki's motivations for any of his actions... and just black and whited/good and badded all characters in that film, and slapped gold stars on themselves for sorting them all into the tidy boxes provided overtly by the narrative.

No part of the series was aimed at me. It's superfluous to my enjoyment of the character I originally fell in love with. Season 1 was exactly the trainwreck I suspected it would be as it's release loomed closer and closer, maybe slightly worse. I will not watch the 2nd. There's no reason. It's not for me. Just like some of Marvel's comic storylines.

If fandom or any parts of any canon have stymied your creativity and appreciation, please let those parts go.

Remember what you loved and why you loved. Even if you don't feel compelled to create for it again.

There are still plenty of us around with open arms who recall that rich, complicated mess of heartbreak, strength, and intellect doing the best he could and not depowered, declawed, or dumbed down.

I'm sorry it's hit like this for you. I completely understand. I miss our hiking trial too.

Imagine that you found this really nice hiking spot. It had a forest filled with trees and birds, animals and a beautiful lake. And you met other people who also liked the spot and you would talk about what you saw on your hikes and share photos of the place. Some people even made paintings of it and shared those.

Then one day there was a fire and some of the forest was damaged and the lake got muddy from soil washing into it and therefore less animals. But it's still a nice hike and you had hopes it would regrow. Some hikers left then but you stayed.

Then the place was closed but there was a sign saying it would reopen soon and promised that it would be like before and even better. So you looked forward to seeing trees replanted, the lake cleared, the birds and animals returned and maybe there would be more land added to the preserve.

But when it was reopened the hiking trail was now a highway, instead of a forest, there were fast-food places and chain stores that were made up to look like cabins. Instead of wild animals there was a petting zoo and where the lake had been was a dirty goldfish pond.

What was worse was that so many of your hiking buddies insisted that not only was this better, this was the same place and it was always like this, and the forest and lake and paths just got in the way.

People who had never stopped and hiked before were now swarming the place to buy cheap t-shirts with wolves printed on them and listen to the fake bird songs and eat wild themed food. Those people who had loved the hiking place before left.

You realized that new people would only see the tourist trap, and never know what had been there before. When you tried to find pictures or accounts of the hiking spot before, you kept getting the tourist trap instead. Until your memories became so polluted with the destruction and tawdry imitation that took its place, and grief for what was lost that you never wanted to remember it again.

That is exactly how I feel about what the Loki series did to the Loki fandom.

And why I can not write or draw anything about Loki.

InuSan or SessSan and why? Go!

I was not prepared for this one! 🤣🤣🤣

SessSan all the way! But I can't deny that InuSan doesn't make me go 👀👀👀.

InuKag is way too precious to me, and most of the time I find it hard to ship Inuyasha and Kagome with anyone else but each other. But if I had to ship Inuyasha with anyone else besides Kagome it would indeed be Sango. They could easily bond over their passion for fighting and combat, and I can see them spending long hours training together. Throughout the series they formed a strong friendship, and who knows, during the heat of fighting practice, I could envision a little somethin' somethin' going on between those two. I may have a little headcanon going on that Sango had a crush on Inuyasha throughout the story, and had Kagome not returned to the Feudal Era, they would have grown closer and eventually fallen in love. I offer you this link of an InuSan moment/comic I found a looong time ago that sparked my interest in InuSan. FYI, It does depict Inuyasha and Sango having a moment while they're already with Kagome and Miroku, respectively. Just giving a heads up in case that situation makes anyone uncomfortable. Also, my brother was working on translating the comic for me. He forgot, but this was my reminder to remind him to finish it.

I definitely prefer SessSan, though. Even though Sesshomaru isn't at the top of my favorite characters list, I have so much fun shipping him with everyone looool, especially Sango. Iirc, it was a fanart of the pair that sparked my interest in them. They just look so good together! But as I started formulating headcanons for how their interest in each other and their relationship would start, I realized that they have one very important thing in common - Kohaku. At one point Sesshomaru spared Kohaku's life and later in the story Sesshomaru becomes his protector. I like to headcanon that in seeking out her brother time and time again to try to reestablish their connection and help Kohaku regain his memories and heal from his trauma, Sango would inevitably run into Sesshomaru time and time again. Sorry, a lot of this is just headcanon, so I apologize for the rambling, but this pair just gets me so excited! I imagine that Sango would visit Kohaku regularly, and with time Sango would gain Sesshomaru's trust, respect, and admiration.

We all know that Sesshomaru is worse than scum for everything he did to Inuyasha, but I think that in watching Sango go above and beyond to save Kohaku and help him heal, while also seeing how strong, powerful, brave, and optimistic Sango is in the face of all of the tragedy she's experienced, Sesshomaru would at least witness how powerful a sibling bond can be and that might move something inside of him. I'm notorious, at least in my own eyes lol, for attributing emotions to Sesshomaru that seem unrealistic for him to develop (but I believe, dammit), but I sincerely think that Sango and Kohaku's relationship might move him to at least recognize that he was cruel to Inuyasha and maybe (strong strong strong emphasis on "maybe") even ask him for forgiveness. I don't imagine them ever being as close as Sango and Kohaku, but I think there is a possibility that they could grow to tolerate each other better and even become allies.

Also, what's not to freakin' love about Sango??? She's strong. She's smart. She's profound. She's beautiful. She's a QUEEN BAMF. I also enjoy the headcanon that when Sango first encounters Sesshomaru in her attempt to make contact with Kohaku, she kicks his ass and hands it to him. This boy would fall head over heels for her, and I have already made plans to have my funeral on this hill.

In conclusion, Sango and Sesshomaru would make a badass couple. There's emotion, passion, romance, tenderness, angst, conflict, tension, and drama in that story and you bet your bottom I am on the case and have SessSan fics in the works to address it all. Cause I mean, what about Miroku, amIright? And Sango's a demon slayer while Sess is a demon *eyebrow wag*. THE POTENTIAL ANGST AND INTERNAL CONFLICT IS DELICIOUS.

So, yeah, if I had to choose, I'd choose SessSan.

Well, I am not a believer and definitely have had bad experiences with Christianity in particular so obviously that colours my perspective on GO’s God (which is who I’m talking about here of course).

However, I think the problem with what you’re proposing is that being disappointed with the behaviour of something you have created does not mean you yourself are allowed to do evil. So God is bummed about the choices Her children have made - does that give Her the right to kill them? We certainly wouldn’t say a parent disappointed with their child’s actions gets to murder them. And does She really get to decide what is right and wrong for everyone? She thinks wiping everyone out in a flood is the right thing to do - does that mean it is? Crowley (and Aziraphale) certainly seems to have moral concerns about this - is God’s morality superior here (mass murder, remember), just because She created the first humans?

And I truly hate the idea that this is all part of some ineffable plan. All those people She killed in the flood, including children who never got to live…oh they were just a bit of collateral damage. Oh, could have fixed capitalism and poverty and war and all of that but it was part of the ineffable plan so, oh well to the people who died in abject misery. Oh and the idea of free will - ignore that, that’s made up. She’s been manipulating everything (either directly or She knew how things would play out and set things in motion this way from the start), including Crowley and Aziraphale to fall in love.

I do actually believe in seeing things from multiple perspectives, but if I’m going to see things from the baddie’s perspective and see them as anything other than the baddie, then I need them to realise they have done wrong and try to make up for it. I believe in the idea of redemption and the possibility of coming back from almost anything (indeed that’s part of why eternal torture is so wrong!) but it has to start with actual recognition of the wrongdoing and an attempt to repair it, and make better choices.

So God is the baddie in Good Omens, right?

Like I know the Metatron is a midlist baddie, a manipulative dickhead apocalypse enabler. But the real Evil Doer is God herself.

The evidence:

a) the Fall - nobody deserves eternal damnation. Not even Hastur.

b) the Apple - what's so wrong with knowledge, anyway???

c) the Celestial System - NOBODY DESERVES ETERNAL TORTURE NOT EVEN VERY BAD HUMANS AND CLEARLY HELL IS NOT FILLED WITH ONLY VERY BAD HUMANS. (Ahem. I have a thing about 'deserving' and fairness. See: whole separate meta on the topic)

d) the Flood - I mean come on. That was clearly evil. Murdering a bunch of people is usually a good way to establish a character is a baddie. (Not the kids! said Crowley. Yes, Crowley, the kids too.)

e) Job - As any 90s/early 2000s romcom will tell you, making a bet about someone else is a good route to becoming a baddie. Or else a romantic lead, but I think we're safe on that front. (But really, God was just like, hey I know, let's fuck with this guy's life and kill his kids! And satan was like...wow God, that's a bit far even for me.)

f) the Whale - technically still about Job, but when someone basically arranges the murder of your children and you ask why, the response 'fuck off with your questions until you're a superior being like me' is a real dick move God. A real dick move.

f) the Human Systems (aka Elspeth and poor Wee Morag) - Crowley is clearly correct in the Edinburgh minisode - some humans starting off with less means they have less (if any) good choices available to him. There's no good answer in actual christianity for the question of evil, and the unfairness of the world. There's no good answer here, either. (The only way Aziraphale repeating "Ineffable" works is if ineffable is code for God is a massive knobhead.)

g) the Metatron - God is all powerful and all knowing, right? so God's upstairs going...yeah, this the Metatron, he seems right on, I'll let him fuck around with humans and also break up Aziraphale and Crowley. (EVIL).
