So like. I've learned so much about this man in the past 48 hours but my final thoughts are:

I'm praying for healing and safety for Maya Henry and all the girls he manipulated/ attacked. I hope his son grows up healthy and loved and that all his loved ones do well to avoid social media for the time being.

That's where my sympathies end. He was manipulated during his youth as well, but I will never feel sorry for abusers.

If you liked the band growing up and have fond memories of makes sense to mourn that experience. But we don't know these people, we only know what they present to us, and Liam already was violent in the public eye.

anyways now that im back (and chugged a bunch of water) i will say like. first of all u ARE right, i did the obligatory instagram follow stalking back in 2020 and the amount of ambiguously european light-eyed straight-haired skinny girls he followed was like embarrassingly high... not to even mention the painfully awkward grovelling reply-guy flirting he'd do with his verified 1M+ account on models' instagram lives..... this is not to make actual assumptions into his life but he gave such virgin energy, not even anything to do w That specifically but mostly w the fact that he clearly had spent so long in racing circles where the guy-girl ratio is like 20:1 and like he did NOT know how to interact w women

that said i dont rly blame ppl for thinking hes gay bc when i first started getting into f1 one of the reasons i gravitated towards lando was bc i also thought he might b bisexual😭 at the time i wasnt living in the uk and like i couldnt concieve of the idea that straight guys could act cutesy and do peace signs at the camera and know abt kesha / miley or whatever. but like i think a lot of that is just bc hes british and grew up chronically online, and i think esp since he's started touching grass (circa late 2020) its a lot clearer that hes straight. but i think what i actually recognised and connected with in him (aside from the chronically online shit) was the adhd 💀 like i think there was a moment of like oh wait ur just like me :O but not in the way i thought at the time (gay)
