hi! i just wanted to add to the love and pop in here to express my admiration as well. not only is DYH my ultimate all time favourite fic, not just for wolfstar but in general, but your depiction of them both has influenced my own view on both sirius and remus a lot. the music resonates with me so well too and it adds to the depth of my love and adoration of it, because it really transcends just being a fanfic. it affects my life on so many levels through the story, and the characters, and the music. it’s such a beautiful and well thought work of art, it’s brilliant on so many levels. i ended up getting sirius’s heart tattoo on my knuckle after reading it as my personal tribute to it, and made a holyhead shirt for myself too.

the road not taken as well is one of the fics i keep returning to over and over, it’s such a hopeful and well written story. the characterisations of everyone, and their heartache and pining and longing is so well done. they all have their motivations even though they’re not always the best reasoning but they feel like real people and i can feel them in my chest. and the idiots pining over each other? they’re so frustrating but in such a brilliant way. did i mention the pining? because that’s done just as well and as beautifully annoying in bird set free too, i was yelling at my phone and pacing when i read it. you capture everything in a way that really puts the reader right there in the middle of it. the miscommunications and the way they’re just so stubborn and they end up just delaying wanting the same thing because they’re being stupid about it? and they all have such a bittersweet feeling to the angstier bits, how they’re trying to keep things together and solve everything and the way they worry for each other and how much they care that shines through in them just being remus and sirius no matter the setting or situation or au.

i did NOT mean to ramble this much but i suppose i just want to thank you so much from my whole heart for writing these stories and sharing them with us. you are truly one of my favourite writers and while i’m sad that your journey with wolfstar is over, i also know that i will keep coming back to these fics time and time again (and they’re some of my first recs when people ask for fics) because they have such a big place in my heart. they’re truly some of the best pieces of literature i’ve read and i’m so eternally grateful to you as an author. thank you <3

I know it's not Wolfstar (it's like off-brand Wolfstar) but the original fiction I've been working on has been almost finished for MONTHS. This might be the motivation for me to go back and keep working on it. Thank you. ❤️❤️
