ppl who are like "if you think this injury in comics is potentially lethal/disabling you're not familiar with the genre 😤" ...are YOU?! have you not heard of gwen stacy? barbara gordon? the deciding factor in whether or not something is lethal in comics is seeing the body, not the severity of the injury. its author intent & story execution. you can have whiplash not exist until suddenly it does. you can have a character shrug off a gunshot wound in the same story as someone who was permanently disabled by one in the same story as someone who got shot five times but recovered in as many months. you can have baseline humans walk off being in an exploding building, and you can have jason todd not (and then return to shrug it off six or seven times). the injuries are exactly as severe as they seem or as you believe them to be, no more, no less.
