Gavin MacLeod on Perry Mason, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Love Boat. Like many other stars, Gavin MacLeod got a start on Perry Mason. He looks so serious and adorable on that show. He was on some great classic TV shows. I think that he got better with age and that he looks the happiest being Captain Stubing on the Love Boat. Thank you for all the entertainment, Gavin. RIP 🙏🏼 ❤️

if you guys havent read mutually assured destruction by venomouschocolate on ao3, it is one of my favourite krisnix centric fics and i cannot recommend it enough. its so. raw. and emotionally devastating. i started thinking about this paragraph again and had to draw fanart for it

just. the aftermath of everything. the simultaneous pain of relief and the bottomless pit in your stomach when you realise what it all means for you. so much you cannot express in words. so much grief STILL. when you should be celebrating. fucks me up, quite frankly. joyous!

design notes

Birds of paradise <333 Them being of the same bird family is important to me... (honorary mention to the snowy owl for Kristoph) (also honorable mention to the paradise crow) (but i like them having matching ribbons (and the two birds i went with are more closely related))

I originally tried giving Klav the whole fluffy back of yellow/white feathers, but (a) he looked SO over complicated (especially compared to everyone else) and (b) I realized that no other character has back feathers, anyways. so it would make sense he does not either.

The ribbon-tails are similar to Apollo and Trucy's hearts: they both inherit this feature from one of their parents. (One parent is a stephanie's astrapia, one is a lesser bird-of-paradise). (Also of note: the lesser bird-of-paradise also has two long wire plumes, if you look closely)

Tails: (Klav's is basically a ribbon-tailed astrapia's tail btw.) Because the tail is such a notable feature of these species, I'm including it, though they also come from the base of the wing (though I'll probably just draw them as essentially tails in the future), and are much shorter than they would be, were they proportional.

i got very lazy on the individual introduction sheets they're so bad 😭😭 specifically klavier pls just imagine he and his wings look better there 🙏🙏🙏 LOL i hope the other drawings make up for it !! >:3

I am usually quite mellow about N’s song choices but oh my actual good god.

1. Title + Lyrics (yes, the person who’s life she’s celebrating has other song credits, I checked)

2. That quote.

3. Minor, but still major: who does she always say she wants to lead his own Broadway show? That she’ll be in the front row for, on opening night?

4. Listen to the strings on that intro. Listen well. Do you hear it? Does it remind you of something? The intro to a very beloved tv series perhaps? Can you imagine the blooming tree graphics?

I'm just going to say that @fiamat12 post here sums up my thoughts on this story.
