Birds of paradise <333 Them being of the same bird family is important to me... (honorary mention to the snowy owl for Kristoph) (also honorable mention to the paradise crow) (but i like them having matching ribbons (and the two birds i went with are more closely related))
I originally tried giving Klav the whole fluffy back of yellow/white feathers, but (a) he looked SO over complicated (especially compared to everyone else) and (b) I realized that no other character has back feathers, anyways. so it would make sense he does not either.
The ribbon-tails are similar to Apollo and Trucy's hearts: they both inherit this feature from one of their parents. (One parent is a stephanie's astrapia, one is a lesser bird-of-paradise). (Also of note: the lesser bird-of-paradise also has two long wire plumes, if you look closely)
Tails: (Klav's is basically a ribbon-tailed astrapia's tail btw.) Because the tail is such a notable feature of these species, I'm including it, though they also come from the base of the wing (though I'll probably just draw them as essentially tails in the future), and are much shorter than they would be, were they proportional.
i got very lazy on the individual introduction sheets they're so bad 😭😭 specifically klavier pls just imagine he and his wings look better there 🙏🙏🙏 LOL i hope the other drawings make up for it !! >:3
FINALLY MY CAT!!!! it’s been a while,,, this is him everyday after taking his pills cuz he knows it’s milk time now (image from my dad) (also flat colors and zoom bc me likey this image)
#ace attorney#aa4 spoilers#klavier gavin#kristoph gavin#apollo justice#klapollo#ace avian#okart#funny story#i got so excited from that ask where an anon talked about klav at a show#that i started drawing it before even finalizing what bird he was#and how the back feathers looked#so i had to go back and redo some of it rip#anyways these were a lot of fun#next few drawings for this au might just be some character interactions ive been thinking about#(and a couple asks !! im not ignoring u guys i swear)#(also maybe godot)#anyways this one is mostly just two drawings of klavier LOL with a little other stuff sprinkled in#i have no regrets#this one is for u klavier nation

hi jules^_^ do u have any fave aa cases so far?
haiiii my beloved <33 thank you for asking hehe of course i do…i fear this answer will be slightly ridiculous bc well. recency bias towards aa4 anddd about half the cases are my favorite. vey bad at narrowing down to a few. but i’m going to talk about them all anywaysss. also i’m very predictable like. while i find all the cases very fun to play my favorites are the ones that are more connected to the overarching plots/character arcs. okay here we go!!!
from aa1:
rise from the ashes was my favorite!! i missed maya of course buttt i love ema so dearly…plus we got lanamia lesbianisms and lana and ema’s relationship was sooo. i really enjoyed the introduction of the new mechanics as well and i found the case itself to be one of the most interesting ones to solve.
close close second of course turnabout goodbyes…HUGE for edgeworth understanders and also just like. unraveling the characters’ pasts and starting to understand all of them a little bit. plus you get to destroy manfred von karma’s life <33
aa2:
hmm i would say reunion and turnabout and farewell my turnabout are about tied here for me!! my poor maya :((( sweetiest pie ever she didn’t deserve any of that. butt it was super interesting starting to learn more about the fey family and i think mimi and ini are superrrr compelling. also we got pearly!!!! and then farewell my turnabout…scariest turnabout ever. i was convinced at any moment doing something wrong would kill maya. however still narratively really well done and enjoyable despite the stress…and i thought adrian was a really interesting character too!
aa3:
another great game for fey family nation…okay im going to tentatively rank these
bridge to the turnabout!!! such a batshit crazy case…literally everything all coming together about the fey family..great stuff. has franziska!!!!!!! another one having me so scared for my best friend maya. getting to play as edgeworth…lots of really really good stuff in this one. this is also the first time the like. tutorial case really compelled me
turnabout memories. i think this is like. so foundational to understanding phoenix as a character. plus you get to play as mia which is soso awesome. and you get to slap grossberg. really really awesome.
turnabout beginnings…such a wild case. the fact that it was both mia and edgeworth’s first….the way it ended…augh. good stuff
aa4:
aa4 my beloved….this one is just hit after hit. i would say turnabout corner mighttt be my least favorite from the game just because i found wocky so fucking annoying but the actual mechanics and details of the case were super super fun to do plus literally trucy nation!!! like every case from this game is so good. turnabout trump another super fun one for the “tutorial” case like immediately throwing you into the crazy questioning what happened in the seven year gap what’s going on with kristoph everything is so augh. really really good. turnabout serenade is super super fun getting to see more about klavier and introducing valant…only thing that’s so annoying is that stupid concert video they make you watch a million times. and turnabout succession. batshit fucking insane as you put everything together. ahhh can you tell i really liked aa4 hehe
and i just started aa5 but nothing’s struck me so far…intro case pissed me off how they literally sidelined athena in favor of phoenix. and im like halfway through the monstrous turnabout and its fun but like. nothing special
anyways i love you my dear thank you so much for asking hehe ^_^ what are your favorite cases so far!! kiss kiss

i'm still going apeshit over my new guy while i write their backstory but i'm being a perfectionist about it, so in the meantime here's a few lil things about klavier:
formerly an astrophysicist working for the ESA (and one-time astronaut, but that wasn't always the plan). their colleagues remember him best for their mental math prowess, his ferocity in advocating for their team & their project, the six separate times he almost knocked himself out on the wing of their own spaceplane, and the very, very formal weekly dinners they hosted that no one ever expected to be that formal bc he brought them up like inviting friends over to watch the game on sunday.
re: the dinners: they love to cook for people. love it. very picky about the process and doesn't often like other people helping them (he takes hosting and courtesy towards houseguests very seriously), but doesn't mind people watching or taste-testing. he doesn't do it as much these days, because all the joy was really in the social aspect & he considers themself too dangerous to get close enough to people to invite them over, but they'll still pull out absolutely flawless cutting technique when applicable.
met their fiancée (magdalena) in university bc he was arguing with a professor in the law library where she worked. she came over to tell them to shut the fuck up, and he jumped so badly that she felt guilty later & went back over to apologize, to which he Also apologized & suggested that hitting him with one of the heavier books would have been equally effective. they started talking about each other's work & majors, were going to part ways when the library closed, then awkwardly ended up walking the same way home. to the same apartment complex. for a while after that, whenever klavier went to the library while magdalena was working, she'd catch his eye and pretend to line up a shot with the heaviest book she had on hand, which always made them laugh.
currently a drifting adjunct professor & substitute teacher, as well as an occasional german, spanish, & math tutor. he tends to focus more on teaching/talking about mathematics these days rather than astrophysics, though they've done a few physics lectures here and there; if asked why, they'd say it's because he's still hiding from the german government + MI-6 and it's smarter to avoid being found within his field of expertise. but really it's because the last time they knew what was real & what wasn't was in 1990, the world's ideas about the cosmos have changed drastically since then, and he no longer feels like an expert in anything, or like he even knows the world they're standing on, let alone any worlds elsewhere.
CLIFF NOTES ON THE GOD PROBLEM: klavier was psychically bonded with jallakuntilliokan during his first (and only) spaceflight on the spaceplane hermes because their orbit put them Directly over the geotroniks facility where the magi caecus were firing the fear machine, at the exact moment when john constantine, zed, and marj were completing their ritual to summon its anima (other godly half) and negate its intended damaging influence on the world. but while the beings themselves balanced out, the summoning rituals did not (pagan nation involved 3 people, geotroniks involved 2), and they could not co-exist unevenly in the world, so jallakuntilliokan had to draw on more psychic energy in order to even things out.
luckily for jalla, there was a spaceplane with 3 powerful potential psychics perfectly aligned with the ley lines that it drew its power from, courtesy of string-pulling and secret testing led by the UK magi caecus and klavier's own mother for over a year prior. it was a flimsy backup plan based on the (so they thought) astronomically slim chance the summoning would fail, with the intention that the spaceplane would be intentionally crashed into the facility and some poor suckers would be sacrificed for enough psychic potential + public shock & alarm to rev the fear engine all the way up to its purpose. they just didn't count on jallakuntilliokan sniffing out the supply first.
the other two astronauts were fried, but klavi survived; the burst severely damaged the hermes and it crashed back to earth, veering off course and hitting the baltic sea. all klavier remembers is the burst, seeing his colleagues burn out, the agonizing sensation of something segmenting their brain like an orange, and then being dragged out of the ocean later. he was then secretly held by the german government for three years in the hopes of determining what the fuck had happened & what was now wrong with him, until jallakuntilliokan shoved their consciousness into the Dreaming long enough to take hold of the body and bust out. he's been on the run ever since, all but convinced there's an alien living in his skull, unaware that he's playing host to a god.
#ooc tbt.#KLAVIER HC. ( we hold all the secrets we hold all the words. )#can you imagine taking a math class where your teacher is lowkey possessed by a primordial fear god.#math is bad enough without being asked a question and feeling your innermost fears rise unbidden to the front of your mind#& then disappear as if you never feared at all. only to see your professor in your nightmares later#safe to say that his ratemyprofessor reviews are Fucked#sched.

phoenix is like apollo. take it from me, a married man. ur love life WILL be torrid for 2 decades. 3 if u count the years when u were 8 and working out the connection b/w homosexuality and court but it WILL be worth it. apollo is like klavier is bringing thai food to my apartment
judge: well then. mr. wright? what is this decisive evidence? phoenix: (this is it... i can't afford to get this wrong!) phoenix: TAKE THAT! everyone: ........ judge: this is your wedding ring phoenix: yeah. miles please help edgeworth, standing at the opposite bench:
kay: you gotta put yourself out there mr edgeworth i mean you never know! mr right could be just around the corner edgeworth: ? no, it's a work day. he'll be in his office downtown. kay: what? edgeworth: what?
klapollo. is so good and so funny. diva rock-star prosecutor who is like human form of the concept of vtubers. net worth of a small nation state. has his own barbie doll. dating: man who has invented a category called "most normal person on earth" and is trying so hard to win it

trucy, mouth full of pocky: so you'd think klavier is the cool one in the relationship. but actually he gets excited about well drafted contracts. it's not him phoenix letting trucy give him a pedicure: so it's apollo? trucy: no phoenix: well, that's all the options trucy: yeah
naming one child kristoph and one child klavier is really like going these are my two cats this one is named geoffrey and this one is named placemat
does anyone remember that one tumblr post about what if there was an anime where every episode is the protagonist dodging the first episode of another anime because she wants to be just some guy. realising that that's apollo justice
orphaned when father died in a fire and mother disappeared and lost her memory? that's just how it is. won't look into that. raised in a foreign country by a guy who becomes an infamous insurgent? don't want to talk about it. will never bring it up. i want to be a solicitor
phoenix becoming an attorney to see miles again proving he's been thinking about miles for 15+ years and never stops and then in investigations miles proving that he thinks about phoenix like eight times a day every time anything happens but never by name that's too intimate
just a whole ass relationship of miles microwaving a lasagne and thinking This microwaveable lasagne. once so cold, is now warm to the touch. Much like my heart, which was changed by... that attorney

ace attorney for the ask game??
YESSS ACE ATTORNEYYYY i have so many thoughts but i never talk about it lol
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
honestly maya i REALLY love her shes so fun but also has a deep story but sadly newer games denied her a character arc in so much as growing up (not that she cant still be goofy but there should be a difference between her being like 15 and 23) but yes really good choice to have her as your companion in most of the cases
but also shes my blorbo in the way i think wayyy to much about the whole implications of the fey clan and the overarching plot of the first 3 games
also also FRANMAYA NATION
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
PEARLY shes everything wah wah wah wah wah i love that she gets to be a rowdy little girl yess violence yess running 40 miles in sandals yesss slapping phoenix wright!!!!! her relation to deliah and iris is also soooo interesting to me!!
she was also done dirty by the newer games but i know she still visits all the time and she and trucy are besties on sight!!!!
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
MIA i cant believe she had to die BC SHE DIDNT NEED TO u couldve introduced spirit chancelling w/o killing her ok!!! i feel like shes every lesbians fave but truly the power she had. her design she had a motorcycle she was a great bigger sister her leaving the clan to become a lawyer her picking up phoenix wahhh thinking about it all sooo hard also her and lana were fucking in college i dont make the rules
i also wanna add franziska here bc ive only mentioned feys up until now but lol what can i say that hasnt been said before the perfect way to built on edgeworth and the von karma debacle epic design epic catchphrases cool wip a women w character arc in a capcom game who wouldve thought also as a german i love how spot on her horse girl name is like i know AT LEAST 5 franziskas that are exactly like her i know shes also a tumblr favourite but every dude bro ace attorney player hates her lollll sorry shes not for you
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)
THE DELITES ok theyre so epic and the definition of malewife and girlboss its sooo epic:) ok theyre not really small parts so ill also say officer meekins bc my brother and me would always loose our minds on his parts we thought the feedback from his microphone was the funniest thing in the entire world and we were right
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
not at all controversial but i need to say apollo for poor little meow meow bc he literally is ok
otherwise i would say lotta hart bc shes sooo funny and one of the better recurring "annoying witness" characters
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
redd white bc he killed mia and deserves to suffer for that ohh also the gross producer from turnabout samurai
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
klavier gavin but only bc capcom already did this to him and i think it would be funny also hes fruity enough to be happy in superhell
glub shitto ask promt
#ace attorney#i didnt mention so many great characters but i cant put doubles for everything#anyways thank you for the ask^^#luna.txt#ask game#ask

ok so I Don't Know anything about Genshin Impact besides the seven elements that are there but your art is p r e t t y and I'm intrigued. So I'm just going to ask about the characters' elements! Including Phoenix and Maya bc I'm not familiar with the symbolism and couldn't deduce that from the drawings heh
aaa thank u for the ask! highly recommend Genshin Impact, its a very fun mobile game. not everyone has elements nailed down yet, but I'll say which ones do
so basically some characters in the world of Genshin, Teyvat, have these things called "visions" that allow them to use elemental powers of hydro, pyro, cryo, geo, anemo, dendro, or electro. all the playable characters have a vision. these visions' origins are unclear, but they represent their bearer's ambition. every element has an archon, or god, and a region that god rules over, represented by a specific theme. i personally think that, though the archons don't directly give visions, they are given when someone's ambition resonates with the ideals of the archon of an element.
its a pretty common idea that cryo vision bearers are those who felt abandoned or unloved at some point and may have an ambition for belonging. I figured that made it a good element for Edgeworth, Franziska, and Trucy. Edgeworth got his vision when his father died, Franziska got her vision when Edgeworth started overshadowing her as a member of the Fatui (the evil mercenary force of the cryo god), and Trucy got hers when her dad abandoned her. I also was thinking about giving Godot a cryo vision...
The god of anemo (wind) is the god of freedom, and while people joke that people who have dead friends get anemo visions, I think anemo visions get given to those who desire freedom, dedicate themselves to the cause of freedom, or have a free spirit or inquiring mind with a specific ambition associated. also, in gameplay terms, anemo characters make great supports. I gave Maya an anemo vision because, while she wants freedom from Kurain village, she's also willing to dedicate herself to making it a place where future mediums can feel free without having to leave. Also because she serves as Phoenix's support!
Phoenix has a pyro vision. While this fits him because pyro users generally have some passion, and his passion is to find his childhood friend, that isn't why I gave him that vision. I mean, c'mon. It's in the name. I also had him and Edgeworth be originally be from Fontaine, the nation ruled by the hydro archon of justice.
Kristoph has a geo vision. I think geo vision holders make a contract with themselves to dedicate themselves to particular things, a more steady ambition. And Kristoph is wholeheartedly dedicated to his career. He'd do anything for it.
We don't know any dendro characters' vision origins yet, but since the dendro archon's domain is wisdom, i figured characters with the ambition for certain knowledge would have dendro vision. So mia's ambition to find her mother and then prove Dahlia's guilt made me think she'd have one...
I still haven't figured out Apollo and Klavier's elements yet. Would Klavier's simple ambition to find the truth resonate with hydro and geo, or would his passion for shaking things up give him electro or pyro?

"Hamlet” at RADA London - My review
(in German only)
Yes. I was one of the lucky ones who saw Tom Hiddleston as “Hamlet” in the very limited run of the production at RADA, directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh. And yes, it was mind-blowing, breathtaking and mesmerizing. Very close to the stage, very intimate. A stunning performance of an incredibly talented cast. And yes, I was suffering from a kind of “post-Hamlet-depression”, as many of the other viewers. I was not able to sort out my thoughts for about a week or so. But however, I tried to write a review for the German theatreblog “Bühnenlichter.de“. It’s not nearly complete, there is much more I could say about this production and how deep it touched me. And perhaps I will rewrite it someday. And translate it into English. We will see ...
Nun also Tom Hiddleston.
