I've had this idea for a while but never really formally so without further ado, I'm presenting...

Stitch Theory

A theory that explains why gingi is the way they are!

A few things you need to know first:

At this point it's at least some what agreed upon that callum caused the DialUp by manipulating realtity to give everything object heads somehow (Dog has mentioned it even affected undiscovered tribes and animals on the DialUp day)

Only one timeline exists at once and they happen one after another as God says on day 2 of randys route.

Voids are outside of time and space and tied to reality/reality being unstable. Like enc0unter seeping through in parts of dietown when the world is ending, the wormhole, and just enc0unter as a whole!

Now onto the actual theory!

With God mentioning multiple DialUp timelines we can assume most are from Crown messing with reality, now picture the metaphorical fabric of reality is held together by hundreds of stitches keeping it together. Now each time Callum messes with reality in a Timeline he tears a stich, makes everyone's heads are objects, then eventually the next timeline starts fresh with reality still slightly damaged from the tear. Now if you do that do that for hundreds of DialUp timelines that small hole is getting larger and larger making reality unstable as we can see through out Dialtown.

Now with Crown being the one to do it most timelines, I think that had an imprint on reality spitting out Gingi, a creature who can warp time and reality, has various memory of history (mostly parts of ww2), and most of all Crowns memories. I propose that Gingi is bit and parts of different timeliness crowns causing the DialUp given form to fix reality and tie up loose ends.

Now to explain Typegingi:

Diffrent timelines have different changes, and though in the current one Callum Crown caused the DialUp, in another timeline Marla Crown could have as well!

thinking a lil bit on the religious subtext in dialtown. hm. callum being said to "play god better than me" by god himself. gingi being referred to as a "green messiah". their clear connections in their similar heads. something something them paralleling jesus (god among men) and gingi being the resurrection of sorts (even if not super literally). perhaps the player being the holy spirit, the guide, that resurrects the son (allows gingi to go through each route) since god does point us out once:

and the world acknowledges the video game aspects.

what's also interesting i think in that same conversation god admits he doesn't actually remember creating the universe, and is just saying that because it's easier, and that while he could have and just forgotten it also could have been something else. i don't think there's enough information yet to say exactly who Else it could have been but. it's fascinating. and there are possible suspects

rolls around on the ground the writing in the roger dlc is so fucking good and i WANT to talk about it but i find "writing up tumblr posts" to be a much more difficult medium than "rambling on discord call with friends". alas

but man, gingi in the evil route in particular just GRISPS me. the roger dlc evil route is in so many ways the opposite fo ch3, like, it is Dialtown's Bad Ending in so many ways. one in particular that i'm sure we've all thought of plenty but that sticks with me is the gingi-crown stuff between ch3 and roger's evil route.

like in ch3 gingi can be said to represent everything that crown wanted for dialtown- it's a place where anyone can feel welcome, gingi's dedication to just helping the people around them. and in the roger evil route, gingi's both the worst of their own traits- the selfishness turned up to an 11, a complete disregard for anybody else- as well as the worst of callum: the need to claw his way to the top no matter what, the salesman tactics, the paternalistic "i know what's best for you (and everyone else)".

and at the end of it both of them end up at the same place in terms of people left for them (and that's not even to get on the crown-gingi stuff with the spaceship ending). the loneliness in the "dialtown bbq/coup" evil route ending really sticks with me. once you get the timeskip to the mingling, you don't even hear from roger. at all! in HIS dlc! he's just gone. no more funny cameos from our good pals karen randy or oliver (all of whom almost certainly end up dead in that ending), all you get is the mingling. even the narrator is entirely out of the picture- and following the prominent narrator-gingi milton-crown theme going on there, i don't think it's a stretch to assume what happened to them- at the end, all you're left with is yourself and fuckin' abel and billy, having destroyed any and all possible connection with anyone you couldve had a positive relationship with. it HAUNTS me
