Flesk Publications:
I'm frequently asked when the next Bruce Timm book is coming?!
In time.
I know this is not the best answer, but multiple collections will come... in time.
Between my last two visits with Bruce I have scanned/photographed over 1200 pieces that are not in the previous books that we have published. This includes a lot of cool pieces like the one shown here. I'm slowly pouring over everything as we determine what we will do with all of this art! This early stage is always fun.
I'll offer more details when we have them to share. Please keep in mind that we like to take our time and the announcement won't come anytime soon. But, stuff is happening behind closed doors!

This was incredible to watch. It's an hour and five minutes long and does show nudity, you'll need to be signed in to watch it and over 18, but it's gorgeous.
Enjoy as I did as her art comes to life.

THE HYBORIAN AGE ON ANOTHER PLANET? JOHN CARTER MEETS CONAN?
PIC INFO: Spotlight on pin-up art of a long lost and/or would-be Marvel Comics character, Talon, a barbarian-like character from another world, an alien planet, created by Jim Steranko. Artwork by Bruce Timm for his art book "Naughty and Nice: The Good Girl Art of Bruce Timm" (2001). FLESK Publications.
"The back-room legend goes that Jim Steranko created a barbarian character named Talon for a series pitch to Stan Lee when both were at Marvel. Stan passed on the series, which Steranko continued to play around with over the next few years but never published anywhere. In the meanwhile, the legend continues that Stan liked the idea of a Barbarian comic for Marvel, just not this one, and that led to licensing the "Conan the Barbarian" property."

since my doom records were making me sleepy, I decided to get a little more brutal today with Transylvanian Hunger by Darkthrone. This is probably what you should listen to if you want to be introduced to death metal. Is it particularly innovative by today's standards? Not really, but that's because it's a damn classic.
Darkthrone records have that kind of fuzzy quality of having too much gain and not a nice enough studio setup, and of being recorded in the early 90s. Possibly in a spooky cave. If you like black or death or blackened death metal, you already know Darkthrone. Honestly if you like any kind of metal, you should probably know Darkthrone.
This is a band that does corpse paint and near illegible spiderwebbing fonts for the band logo. Fast, thrashy riffs and beats, growling vocals, every now and then a guitar just wails for a sec. The back of the album cover says "true Norwegian black metal". They sound spiky and wet like a cave full of stalactites and stalagmites and also probably vampires pretending to be sleeping bats that will actually draw you in deeper and deeper into the cave and then swarm you and drink all your blood. And then you will have a painful transformation and wake up in the pit ready to headbang. Good times!
Favourite track: Slottet I Det Fierne. Because of the guitar wailing bits.
Least favourite track: I En Hall Med Flesk Og Miod. Gets stuck in the sludge for a minute. Which is fine, but classic or not these True Norwegian Black Metal albums do tend to get a bit samey, by the time I'm halfway through the B side I kind of want something with solos.

I think one of my favorite things is being. Just so violently Scandinavian. All the other scandi’s around me are like, a moderate amount of Scandinavian like you can maybe tell but generally they’re doing their best to not terrify the non-scandis
meanwhile I’m over here in my little babushka scarf (shal) yelling “HVEM VIL HA’ EN RUGBRØDS MAD MED KARRYSILD?? HVA?? DIG DER. DU LIGNER EN DER HAR BRUG FOR EN SVANNEKE ØL OG EN TALLERKEN STEGT FLESK MED PERSILLESOVS”
And they’re SO afraid and it’s amazing

Random Luigi's Manshion hcs cause im Bored that halloween is over
Egadd is one of those grandpas who says that he's smart. but then buys some stupid Krypto or sells his soul for alf poggs.
Luigi is transfem cause she can because I'm a girl and I think she should face the torture of being fem presenting as all fem presenters get by the patriarchy. Give her the autistic girl hell hole she deserves that for being awful in smash mele.
Googi is so fucking sticky . It is like a lollipop you leave on the floor.
King boo is aro ace
Egad has served jail time for helping the Koopa family and he is divorced.
When Luigi first explained Mario her job he just went. "Oh ghostbusters"
As a kid Luigi was scared of the ghostbusters movies and mario was hyperfixated on them.
Polterpup is deaf
Most ghosts have dementia and revert back to the state the can create fuzzy memroies based on .
Morty could have been some old Hollywood producer who started to lose his memories and the only thing he can remember was being in a 1950s Kajui monster maker movie.
Luigi was abslouty one of those kids who would have been scared the hell out by that movie Where the Wild Things Are. Also she is avid Brittny spears fan cause I am.
Egad would murder boos like that guy in roger rabbit with the dip when he was younger.
Egadd Defintly would do whatever the hell William afton did with those kids in fnaf if he never met luigi.
Egadd probaly is Ira of the wrath ring.
Acatully Egadd is the dwarf in the flesk
Actually, Egadd was in us this whole time. His soul lurks in you and me as he crushes your bones and eats at your cell membrane.

Here is a video going over the art of one of the most iconic artists, Arthur Adams who has worked for both Marvel and DC. The video is around thirty minutes but it digs deep into his shading, his line work and his many many techniques. Some of the video you don't even need to listen to the narrator and can just look at the amazing art. The book he is reading from gives about a paragraph for each picture shown and gives amazing insight into his work. Highly recommend.
Here is a link to his books, definitely worth a look.
