tags: slight angst, mostly fluff, protective saber

saber always has an eye on you during battle! 

sure, you are capable to fight for yourself, otherwise you wouldn't be part of this army, but it doesn't hurt to look out for you

saber couldn't forgive himself if you got hurt and he couldn't even do anything or didn't even notice it! 

so, despite you assuring him you could defend yourself, he was always nearby and always had an eye on you, ready to fight anyone who got too close to you

he often managed to defeat most opponents before they were able to reach you, but sometimes he wasn't so lucky

sometimes he'd end up having to throw himself in front of you, shielding you with his body

his entire back was full of scars already and he always got a scolding from you afterwards when you treated his wounds

but saber always assured you that it didn't even hurt that much and that you were worrying too much!

but of course it did hurt. each wound was more painful than the last, yet he still threw himself in front of you to protect you each time

because this pain was nothing compared to the pain he'd feel if you got hurt…

Boey is on the aroace spectrum with a positive view on relationships and is mspec.

Genny is a trans woman who use she/her and is a lesbian.

Saber is a trans man who uses he/they, and he’s pansexual.

Valbur is bisexual with a heavy fem lean. It takes him a long time to realize this.

Leon is canonically gay

Kamui is gay

Catria is a lesbian

Jesse is trans masc and uses any pronoun. He doesn’t label his sexuality, and he is only attracted to women.

Atlas is gay

Sonya is on the aroace spectrum in a negative view on relationships.

Deen is a trans man who uses he/him, and he’s on the aroace spectrum and is gay.

In Shadows of Valentia, one of Saber’s crit quotes is just “Move.” Additionally, one of his finishing blow voice lines is “Where you going?” This leads to the occasional thing where Saber will tell someone to move, and as soon as they comply he brutally murders them for it.

Not really a take but I think it’s amusing.
