#Even if you 'own' your house you still pay land taxes. If you don't pay those taxes you lose your land and house.

Something I've noticed while watching boobtubers like Rev and the like: a lot of their userbase in the comments bitch about leftists as if we're the ones coming for their waifus...
As if the conservatives behind 2025 wouldn't gleefully ban their animes as 'pornography'?
Like, puh-leez. The anti v. proship malarkey spans all political isles.
There are unhinged anti leftists and there are unhinged anti rightoids (most of the not-terminally-online alt-right would fall under that category--again, see Project 2025. Yes, there are much more pressing issues in that document than anime waifus and fictional content, but anime waifus and a good chunk of fictional content would still be banned for being 'immoral,' so~).
And--well, most of the proship-aligned persons I see tend to fall under the purview of "liberal, at worst." The grand majority of the people I'm moots with on main are leftists, socialists, and commies, and they're largely pro-kink, pro-fiction, anti-censorship.
Like, for the most part, we're not the ones responsible for the big ol' hammer of puritanism coming down on the vidya games or anything else, for that matter.
(Liberals, though... Yeah, fine, they tend to promote tokenism under the guise of diversity and tend to go on those funny little moral crusades almost as much as staunch conservatives--I see them throwing around the term "degenerate" almost as much too, in some online spaces--but it only proves the adage "scratch a lib and a fash bleeds" blah blah.)

Alright time to check out this Elin game everyone's been telling me about.
Hmm...
Tumblr media
Huh...
Tumblr media
So I'm a snail, my title is The Wizard; my name is Bosta who's gender is ??? and is the offspring of a Proud Man (Mother) and Bored Little Girl (Father) I am 8cm. (all of this was randomized)
For Class I picked Archer because my title is The Wizard... no one will expect me to shoot them.
Okay so right out the gate they want me to claim land... and the game won't let me go anywhere or do anything until I do, so I guess I'm a land owning snail now... I have a few skills like Meditate, Self Harm (which I don't think we'll be using???), as well as riding animals, and apparently praying? Though uh apparently I am a faithless snail because:
Tumblr media
I have recruited a bear? Can I ride my bear?
Tumblr media
My bear has become a horse.
TAXES?! I HAVE TO PAY TAXES?! I'M A SNAIL!
Sorry my bear wants... a salad?
Tumblr media
I got killed by a tree slime.
Tumblr media
So uh... this game is great. Okay time to roll a new character, who've we got this this time?
Tumblr media
Oh fuck.
Uh okay, Geoff learned Ice Arrow in his sleep, and also Blood Touch?
Tumblr media
Yea I'd expect as much from Geoff "The Killer" to be fair. Geoff is surviving better than the Snail did, we're on day 5 and I have a small grass house along with a fishing pole and I've made some money. I also keep dreaming about blood?
But hey good news is we're making money, if you're willing to look past the fact our latest exports have been Skin, Hearts, and various bones/body parts. Listen Geoff is living up to his title, are we REALLY going to fault him for that?
Tumblr media
oh okay yea we're uh... we're doing that.
Sorry what, one of my townsfolk is in debt now because of fraud? And I'm supposed to pay that off? My guy, I'm Geoff The Killer, what do you want me to do about that? I'm not Geoff The Guy Who Pays Off Your Debt!
I RECRUITED A GUY AND HE SELLS SNAILS?!
Tumblr media
and then I read a scroll that spawned in a random old man who's following me around now. No idea why, but uh, hopefully he can take some aggro for me because I'm supposed to explore a cave soon and I don't even have a weapon yet.
Oh the good news is I learned how to make a trash can now, somehow. Geoff keeps learning shit in his sleep. Okay we're actually exploring a bit now, we've left our land for the first time and our bear almost died (yea Geoff has a bear as well.) Hermit Crabs have really high defense apparently. I'm dumping stat points into Evasion for our boi Geoff The Killer. Which seems to be paying off. I have yet to get taxes though, and food is still hard to come by.
Unfortunately even a goose counts as Formidable to us; and I think that says a lot about just how weak Geoff actually is. He's not doing much The Killing of anything just yet. I mean...
We encountered the Hermit Crab again:
Tumblr media
WE GOT THE BASTARD.
Tumblr media
Oh fuck lads, they're onto us...
A GIANT SQUIRREL KILLED MY BEAR?! Well at least we're getting good enough at fishing to actually catch fish. That's a fairly reliable food source.
Good news! I have revived the bear cub, bad news, the bastard is BACK.
Tumblr media
We took so long fighting that my items shipped. Help.
Tumblr media
Bullshit! I'm going to Geoff The Kill them for this. As you know Geoff is an Evasion based character, we've been dumping points into dodge.
But I really did mean an Evasion based character, in every way. That's right bay-bee we're committing tax evasion. I have found the people responsible for the taxes...
Tumblr media
Now I just need to remove the problem of taxes. You see it's very simple.
Tumblr media
I just need to Geoff The Kill them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I did it. I saved the city. Now the town is without a Mayor, without a Mayor they can't possibly send taxes right?

There's a podcast I found on youtube called Behind the Bastards that goes into the history of awful people in history. Listened to the Thomas Jefferson episodes recently and. Wow rich people always have been shit (as a group)
Jefferson admired the roman 'farmers' who were land owners who had slaves work their land. He and his peers were virginia landowners who also had slaves farm for them. The ideal he read about and admired were "hard working self sufficient farmers" but this image is not of a man hunting and farming himself or with his family, but a man living in comfort with slaves to do the work and provide the comfort.
Now the big trend among conservatives is tradwifes and the image men are sold about it - a woman cleaning their home, farming for them, providing for them and obeying them. Which on the small scale is to like appease poor men and poor women - to give poor men this illusion that they could have a stay at home wife and afford for her to not work eventually (and also serve him), to give poor women (that they could afford to not work for money one day and serve a man who loves them for being the 'right' kind of woman). The people who are actually achieving this lifestyle are rich men (and women who end up working since... if you're an influencer that's your job, so it's all an illusion since the lifestyle could not be achieved without money coming in).
It's just a symptom of a bigger pattern. Conservative circles push this lifestyle as idealized to the masses (a man being served by someone for free, able to control them absolutely). If the masses aspire to that, hope for that, then the masses will continue to think they'll be billionaires one day who WILL have that and DESERVE to have that. And instead of fighting the billionaires, they'll think that is the goal to be admired as a sign of success.
Meanwhile our whole world, our current world, is at the mercy of some very very rich fucks. Who are attempting to sap what wealth everyone else has, and take it for themselves. These billionaires live in comfort! Far more comfort than slave owners of centuries past! These billionaires have so much money, they can buy any service they want, land, websites, politicians. And yet its never 'enough' money to these bastards. They need to buy more property to rent to the masses, and drive rent prices up by using housing as assets. They need healthcare gutted because god forbid the masses pay less for healthcare - they SHOULD pay 100,0000 to live after an accident! God forbid the masses own property, and therefore have a little wealth and security for their family - if they're less housing stable, they'll quit shitty jobs less. You can abuse them more! God forbid the majority of humans have food, water, shelter, healthcare. Got to raise the price of all groceries, because you can! Because you need to get ALL the money the masses manage to make, and funnel it to yourself. Billionaires are just like those illusions of "self sufficient farmers" who own slaves and rely on slaves to both provide necessities and luxuries.
Billionaires really spew the bullshit they're self sufficient, then don't pay their employees living wages. Billionaires have nothing to offer without the efforts of their employees, and the money those employees earned for them (or the rent they charged etc). They certainly aren't self sufficient, they're also not a single benefit to society. They dream of a world where everyone serves them, provides for them, and gives them always MORE. In many ways the world probably already is this, all of us buy something that eventually contributes to a billionaire, or work for one (or for a company that serves one), or pay taxes to a government that coddles a billionaire, buy groceries. But billionaires always want MORE. More more more. They're destructive in their existence. In what they choose to do, which is take from others to give themselves more, to give themselves SO much they can't even use it all. They'd still be rich enough to buy a politician off, to buy an island or a website, if they paid their employees a living wage and charged reasonable prices. Once you have enough money you simply cannot spend it all in your lifetime, in your grandchildrens lifetimes, even if you buy absolutely everything you ever want. They don't have to seek to take from others endlessly, to continue existing with the lifestyle they do. But they still seek to take more and more and more. In the process they hurt most people, and hurt the world we live in as a whole. And they don't care, even though it would not hurt them at all and would not take a single tangible benefit they receive, to stop being Such destructive presences in the world.
#rant#its just like.... so jeffersons argument for why he didnt emancipate his slaves was he had debts to pay#and debt was inheritable back then. (kind of sounds like trumps massive debts when he ran for pres but that was all his own debt)#well one of jeffersons friends offered to give him money when he died to 1 pay off debts 2 free all his slaves#and jefferson refused. even though he was provided the means to pay his debt! the reason he said he didnt want to give up slaves#and billionaires are kind of like that. they have SO much fucking wealth they do not have to give up a single comfort or desire to simply..#stop being so goddamn destructive... but they refuse to stop being destructive. there's no Need for them to be the way they are. they WANT#to be this way.#jefferson wanted to be that way. tell himself he's self sufficient and own people who had to do what he said and provide for him#he (and MANY people in debt at the time) could have worked to eliminate inherited debt#an issue which likely affected the many poor people - not just the people with land.#i dont know if rich people just fucking brainwash themselves#the way they try to brainwash the poor: into this idea that having wealth means youre 'self sufficient' and 'the best'#and so pursuit of ever MORE wealth is the only way to prove you're worthy of existing#and to lose wealth or simply pursue less than a peer makes you a LOSER failure worthless.#so billionaires cant just 'stop destroying' because they'd still have enough to buy anything. but their worth would be LESS than a peer#and they're horrified by that number being LESS.#and that idea also aspires to push poor people to attack each other: for the small business owner to pay poverty wages and do part time so#no one gets healthcare. for the worker to attack immigrants because their employer might pay them even Less under the table#for the worker to get 2 or 3 jobs even though its killing them and making them ill because to have more money is to be 'better'

a survey for adults
Created by scarintheblue

Rarely. They're always depressing.
what will you do with your tax refund?
How did you know, I'm one of the few people in this country who get a tax return. Probably somewhere in September.
other than your car or your house, what is your priciest worldly posession?
Probably my laptop.
do you have children? if so, how many? if not, do you want them?

Hehe, Belgian economy. I'm not gonna say anything lol.
do you think that we should have gone to war with iraq?
No, it's not our war.
how do you feel about the current wire-tap issue?
What is that even?
do you have insurance? is it more of a help, or a hindrance?
In my country, health insurance is mandatory, so yeah, obviously I have it. It's always help, it saved me from huge debt when I landed in the hospital.
are you a college graduate? if so, has it made a difference in your career?
Yeah, I am. It made it easier to get my job since I'm an electrical engineer.
what would you rather be doing right now?
Going to the Polish shop for food.
do you go to church?
Not for prayer as such, but I like to visit churches to find peace.

what world issues concern you the most?
War in Ukraine.
how do you feel about same sex marriage?
I'm in same sex marriage, here's your answer.
do you think that a woman can be an effective president?
Look at Finland, they made it.
who do you think is most responsible for "the way you turned out?" why?
It's just life and its events. Everything that happens shapes us in some way.
do you feel differently about love and sex now than you did at 17?
Nah. I've never been interested much.
what does it mean to you to committ?
To stay loyal to the one I love. Pretty easy.
how important are the arts?
Pretty important to some. Every profession is valuable and brings something.

Damn this survey is old. In my country, voting is mandatory so yeah, I'm a registered voter and I do vote.
would you ever join the military? why or why not?
I've been thinking about it, but I'm not allowed for medical reasons.
do you use algebra in your daily life?
Doesn't everyone? Even for simple things like paying the bills and counting money.
what is the most important thing in your life?
Health and family, and of course our cat.
what is the biggest problem in your life?
Poor health. Chronic illness and physical disability.
do you have a guilt complex?
I do, more than it's healthy.
how many people do you know who are in debt?
A lot. But I personally try to avoid it at any cost.
are you happy with your life as it is?
Generally yes, but I still have my moments.
how upset did these questions make you?
Not at all. I'm an adult, after all.

I think most americans look at a house as a primary store of wealth because there isn't really anything else available to store wealth in.
If you keep your money in a bank, you are losing single digit percentages of value every year (or double digit last year depending on how you do the math). Stock market investments are dubious on the best of days if you don't already possess the vast quantities of wealth needed to mitigate risk effectively, and most americans alive today have lived through multiple major recessions now, they know exactly how bad those can get. Motor vehicles don't typically last longer than a decade and a half even with the best maintenance possible, and other big ticket items that hold onto value well like businesses or resource rich property are inaccessible to someone who isn't interested in dedicating themselves to maintaining them.
By contrast, a house is something you benefit from very directly by owning, will maintain by virtue of needing to live in it, and are offered a variety of legal protections and insurance options to mitigate much of the risk of ownership. It may not make for an ideal society, but it does make sense from the perspective of someone who would like to try and actually accumulate wealth during their lifetime.
I do get the appeal of homeownership from a flexibility and personal benefit thing, not having to wait for some asshole to tell you you can't hang pictures is great, but I think for every person who values control over their home, there's someone else who just wants a place to live for the next two years.
The faulty instinct is that the house is the valuable part, as noted by that article. Buying a house as a store of value only works if the land it's on goes up in value. Buying land in bumfuck nowhere because you want to buy a house isn't a good idea, and buying land in a valuable area is probably beyond most people who are worried about where to direct their very limited funds.
I'm not as convinced as you about the idea that a modern diversified index fund is worse than landownership (especially for the non-ultra-wealthy) for your median American living in suburbs outside of high-demand city centers. I'm also not sure land is much less resilient to financial crashes, especially if you're still paying off your mortgage on pre-crash pricing.
Any idiot can invest in your basic Vanguard mutual fund without having to save up $25+k on a downpayment, versus what, like $2000 minimum initial investment for Vanguard? I don't know what S&P500 minimums are like. And they strongly tend to beat inflation year on year without the ongoing costs of home maintenance, bubble risk, and risk of just getting a crap location that doesn't improve.
That's to say nothing of significant transaction fees, land and property taxes, and overhead if you ever need to move homes. It's also much easier to continuously siphon off a little money to put into a mutual fund than it is to add money to a house.
Of course, stock prices crash, but that tends to coincide with housing price crashes, and it's harder to weather out a housing price crash with a huge mortgage to pay off than it is to weather leaving your investments to recover, especially if you're dealing with them in the long view. There's definitely certain situations where a house is a sensible investment but I think that's rarely the best reason to buy a house.

Lived in Provo for a bit, that's where the Mormon church is headquartered and is more or less their promised land. Shitty plastic people wearing faces to make sales to make tithes for a several-hundred-billion dollar tax-free entity that's hellbent on gaining money, buying land, and making women bear children. They'll claim to be of God then scam you out of your rent security deposit in the same breath.
They put a biologist on mission on the south end of Utah Lake just to care for the pheasants that richer Mormons pay thousands of dollars to hunt and shoot. This biologist is not paid and they don't pay taxes on the gains.
BYU dorms have plaques above the stove to warn students not to let their small children play with the stove because it's expected they'll get married and bear children before they're twenty. Any kind of mixed gender cohabitation is otherwise strictly prohibited.
Families have as many children as they can even when it's not economically feasible or good for the kids they'll have, and they all want designer golden doodle pups and nothing else. It's a cultural desert in the middle of the desert. They're also still hugely patriarchal and that limits growth for women or non-mormoms in the corporate or even federal offices in the state
They have several temples every city block and they won't open the doors to the homeless for warmth in these winter months, and forget about feeding or housing them. They'll literally tear up every inch of carpet in a temple if a non-mormom sullies it with their heathen feet.
Church heads claimed it was imperative to 'raise their muskets' against LGBTQ people in a commencement speech two years after a BYU valedictorian came out as gay as part of their own commencement speech (SUPER brave of that student).
The church as an entity is horrible and you do not need to respect their freedom of religion because they are not going to respect your rights on their way to make more money.
They're also why you can't get beer of more than 5%abv or any drink on its own, or get an abortion, or buy weed, or get any kind reproductive care since every doctor is booked out nine months for expectant mothers.
If you get elders (19 year old kids sent to convert people door to door), take them into your home, tell them you have no interest in hearing about the book or their lessons, but do offer some food/snacks/some time away from going door-to-door, or to answer complicated questions about religion, sexuality, human rights, etc. They're young and indoctrinated and may not know how to get that kind of information organically.
In short, fuck the LDS church, the power they clamor for, the wealth they hoard, the human rights they withhold and their cult of indoctrination. I am not sorry about this.

Things I wasn't told about Generational Wealth;
Generational Wealth requires the input from *generations* in order to create. As they say; it takes a village.
You really shouldn't have children if you can't understand this one simple concept. The elder generations create the floor for the younger generations.
Some people are so relatable or skilled, that they become overnight celebrities or millionaires. And literally every [Idol] in the world's whole business model is creating a family for those who don't have one.
Sure; some of them are in it for the music, but come on. That's exactly how the parasocial business model works. Not that I'm blaming them; obviously they've found a way to sell a product that fulfills a demand.
But it walks a line that precariously extracts wealth from people who could instead of generational Wealth. It's not their fault, it's legislated.
The point of currency is that you pass it around your little town, amongst yourselves, and fulfill each other's needs.
As an old timey farmer and a blacksmith; the black smith gives money to the farmer for their food who in turn gives the money to the black smith for improved tools.
In older times, these two might even be brothers.
Now, you could skip that step entirely, but, you could also have other family members. A town cook, a distillery, a carpenter, and on and on and on.
But as we grow those little niche family systems go away. It's why the Amish do what the Amish do. They can keep their wealth to their insular group, and use currency to just interact with the rest of the country.
So, instead of that wealth staying in your family, today; it goes somewhere else. Before; you might pay your parents rent because you'd end up with their land *anyway*. And that wealth stays in your family.
But today; you pay that rent to somebody else's family. And that wealth doesn't stay with *you* OR *your* family.
If you have to pay rent to house yourself, your family, pay for food, AND pay for repairs. (SUPPOSE YOU LIVE IN A TRAILER.) All of that wealth leaves *your* hands to goto somebody else's table.
Why do the wealthy stay wealthy? Because they've kept that system where they can trade their wealth around as if it were a small insular community, and on *top* of that; they extract wealth from communities for their own personal gain.
And this is why Billionaires are un-ethical no matter how you slice it. That wealth extraction was created by a completely necessary business, that did *so much better* than a small community could do amongst themselves, that it's become the business model.
And there's no choice but to use this service that extracts wealth from communities, because there *isn't* a better option.
When your children are being pushed out of their homes to build their *own life* you're literally giving up on generational Wealth. When you treat them as slaves; you're giving up on your ability to generate income for your family, and still give up on generational Wealth.
That wealth doesn't stay with your family; and instead gets scatter to pay *other people's* taxes.
Who then complain about how much tax they have to pay *because* THEY PAY SO MUCH OF THE WEALTH THEY EXTRACT FROM PEOPLE WHO EARNED IT.
That's the current business model, it's why we have a housing crisis, it's why we have a jobs market crisis, it's literally the source of most of the problems right now.
Ducking great. Now I've given conservatives a realistic rational argument for the nuclear family.

How To Survive a Season of Unemployment
8/16/2023
Exactly three months ago, I worked my last shift at the corporate company I had been at for over two years. What started as my dream job in 2020 inevitably became a job I was forced into when the team I was on was completely removed from the company and I was placed in a role I didn't want as a means of saving me from being laid off. I'll spare the details.
I was determined to quit, but like anyone else in their right mind, I was worried about how I would financially afford not having a regular paycheck. I didn't have money saved up but I knew I couldn't stay working a job every single day that I was unhappy with. I preach every day to live with intention, like every day could be your last, because one day, that will be true and none of us get to control that, and oftentimes it comes sooner than we anticipated.
So how have I made money to survive the last three months without a job while also still being able to travel and live my best life everday?
Here are my life hacks for quitting your day job and living your best life, even if it's only for a short amount of time.
Airbnb. I live alone in a three-bedroom house and I don't always have friends staying with me. I figured I could utilize the extra space by listing a room on Airbnb for additional income. I did this back in 2015 and had an overall positive experience so I figured it couldn't hurt to do it again. I knew the money that Airbnb brings in and I don't mind sharing my space with others, so I listed the room and bookings immediately came in. Over the entire summer, my space was booked about 95% of the time, bringing in $2k-$2.2/MO. Sadly, by my own wrongdoings, I didn't get the required permit from the city of Nashville and had to recently turn off my listing for AN ENTIRE YEAR, until July 2024.
Unemployment Checks. No shame here, I pay my taxes and can use a little help when necessary. While I personally made the decision to quit my last job, I did throw out the idea to the company about them laying me off instead of quitting for the sole purpose of being able to file for unemployment. Crazy, right? No one thought I was going to be able to pull that one off, even myself. But you will never know if you don't ask, so I asked and I received. Unemployment check amounts are laughable, but something is better than nothing, and I was bringing in $1175/MO with them. No ego, amigo here. I'll take whatever help I can get.
Cash out on PTO. Simple enough, I cashed out on three weeks of PTO I hadn't used from my company. That amounted to 1.5 paychecks, which is almost a full month's pay.
Severance Checks. Okay, admittedly, one of the perks of being laid off from my last company was the severance they were providing for those that lost their jobs. It was one entire full month's pay. Truly a freaking blessing, because I know a lot of companies would not do this for their employees. This severance check helped IMMENSELY. Again, I lucked out by asking my company to lay me off as opposed to me quitting, and I believe the only reason they let me do this is because my role was eliminated from the company and I was placed in a role I was not hired to do from the start.
Brand deals. Over the last three months, I researched ways that I could make money on brands that I already used at home. This has been, and still is, the slowest burn as far as making money goes. I was making short reels on Instagram for $6-$20/reel using the Kale app. Outside of Kale, I found Cohley, where you can apply to briefs to shoot video content, product reviews, or photo content for brands, which has been way more effective. I just landed my first real brand shoot for $300! Other (free) brand deal sites outside of Kale and Cohley that I've had luck with are Influee and Popular Pays. You can also join Shopify Collabs, get free or discounted products sent to you, and post about them on your socials using your affiliate links!
Sell random shit around your house. I remember right before I listed my space on Airbnb, I changed all the doorknobs in my house and now I had three basic doorknobs I didn't need. I told my friend I was going to list them on FB Marketplace and he laughed at me. Two months later, once I had already forgotten about them, someone reached out and asked to buy them. Sold! Do this with everything in your house that you don't need. This obviously isn't going to pay your rent/mortgage or car payment, but as I say, any money is good money.
There you have it! I genuinely did not have money saved up when I quit my job but I knew the universe was going to provide for me in the ways I needed. Yes, I had to put in a little bit of work. Yes, I had to share my home with strangers for the summer (some guests turned into lifelong friends). Yes, some of the money came easy.
At the end of the day, I 100% knew I'd be okay if I just took that chance of leaving and just seeing what happens. The world is one big energetic field, and you get what you give.
If you are in the same boat that I was in three months ago but you have excuses under the sun of why you can't leave that job you hate, that is the energy you're going to receive. However, if you shift that mindset, similarly, you will still receive, just in better ways:). Positive energy attracts positive energy, and it goes both ways.
Someone once said the quote, "Whatever you think you can do, you're right." I don't even know if that's the actual quote or who said it, and I am not going to look it up, but if you truly believe that you can or cannot quit your job and live your dream life, even for a short amount of time, you're right! So...
Which truth do you want to live?

> They require the labor of others, which can never be guaranteed without forced labor (i.e. slavery).
> Government collects taxes from millions of people
> Government calculates how much it cost to run a operation from resources necessary to employment of people to manage said resources
> Government uses taxes to fund and pay people
> EQUAL TO SLAVERYYYYY
The crushing majority of people asking of their government to expand their pulbic services aren't asking for people to be forced in labor, quite the opposite they want more opportunities for jobs and societal developed the free market isn't creating because a rat race for financial survival is more profitable.
Also food and housing being guaranteed rights isn't inherently or exclusively about public services providing it and it can actually protect people's property rights and uphold multi billion agricultural business to actually provide food for the country they are in instead of making billions of tons of soil and corn.
> You don't. You are more than welcome to grow/gather/hunt your own food and build a house using your own materials.
Many states have century old and still enacted upon anti-foraging laws many which were made to starve Native Americans, which is what happens when access to food isn't a guaranteed constitutional right.
Billions of acres of the USA are actually privately owned by multiple companies, majority big oil, so instead of unproductive land being used for farming, housing and any other sort of development it's being left inept until the USA wins their stupid long game of having the last reserve of oil on earth, and theres many a cases of people who built homes on said private land unaware of it for years, and while in any other country were housing is a human right they actually have a right to it because of the ineptitude of the land owner, in the USA they get their property taken told to destroy it or leave to be demolished so the owner of land can stay being inept and unproductive, hell, it happens in cities were residential building are sold and people are evicted without a lick of compensation or help and without means to enter the housing market again because of the absurd prices of today even to rent, and that happens because access to housing isn't a guaranteed right.
> In contrast, what you are actually complaining about is that you do not feel it is fair that you must provide sufficient value to others to fulfill your needs
Dude thinks a family being outbidded by the millions for a residential property from international companies that don't even have to actually develop anything or paying 1k of rent for a sardine can with zero contributions to loan elegibility is normal and healthy fucking lol
> and the only way that you perceive being able to do that is through what you describe as "wage slavery".
Yeah because the average salary barely pays rent which again doesn't help credit score or loan elegibility together with 50% of the USA population having private healthcare debt also waiting away at a average pay check, even if the average person somehow built their own home they won't even have a right to have most likely or be lucky to not live in a anti-foraging state, one sickness or broken bone and they will be indebted for the rest of their life.
> Yes, that capitalism believes people should have to earn the fruits of others' labors to fulfill their living needs
Huh, you sure? because thousands of people with "useful degrees" applying for thousands of jobs sure don't seem to be having the opportunity "to earn the fruits of others labors", people with medical degree are out here having to flip burgers to make ends meet, where the fuck is the labor people are supposed to be earning exactly?
> opposed to alternatives of taking the fruits of others' labors through force.
Again with the thinking people taxes being used to develop society is somehow equal to slavery thing, that's very weird babe.
> They don't. They "earn" it through providing you compensation.
Wage theft, severance holding, people in decades long legal battle and even class action suits to get said severance or benefits and good ol sweatshopping and work analogous to slavery not real I guess lol
I'm sure the felons and prisoners being enslaved by constitutional definition of the 13th love being compensate in cents per hour.and can't wait to be released to be discriminated and not be able to apply to jobs for the same corporations that enslaved them in prison.
> If it does not meet your own determined threshold, then you wouldn't continue providing your labor willingly.
> just go to a other job if you want better pay!
> the previous job calls, literally or figuratively, all of their "competitors" so they don't pay a cent above your current salary and benefits
And again, corporations literally by constitutional definition constantly employ actual slavery to gain profits, together with being able to control the market and take away actual choice and alternatives from the market because competition and alternatives are socially profitable not at all financially.
And please don't cry corporatism or whatever new term y'all came with "ITS NOT REAL CAPITALISM BECAUSE IT HURT MY FEEFEES", i do not take the term it seriously in the slightest and I find it to be a catch all excuse boogeyman term for when the lack of regulations capitalists, liberals and their ilk push for are enacted and results in the bad scenarios their opponents predicted would happen, is your sides version of "BUT IT WASNT REAL COMMUNISM" validated trought astroturfing alone.
I get that Karl Marx based his research and methodology on object materialism, but ignoring real life barricades and situations like a economic life coach telling people they can just make 100 bucks of investiment on a MLM into a million dollars without any real, tangible and selling clients isn't the anti-communism slay you think it is.
Tumblr media
"Why isn't food and housing a guaranteed right?"
They require the labor of others, which can never be guaranteed without forced labor (i.e. slavery).
"What do you mean I have to tie myself to wage slavery to house myself, etc?"
You don't. You are more than welcome to grow/gather/hunt your own food and build a house using your own materials. In contrast, what you are actually complaining about is that you do not feel it is fair that you must provide sufficient value to others to fulfill your needs and the only way that you perceive being able to do that is through what you describe as "wage slavery".
"The phrase "earn a living" says everything you need to know about end stage capitalism"
Yes, that capitalism believes people should have to earn the fruits of others' labors to fulfill their living needs, opposed to alternatives of taking the fruits of others' labors through force.
INB4: "Then why does my boss take the fruits of my labor?"
They don't. They "earn" it through providing you compensation. If it does not meet your own determined threshold, then you wouldn't continue providing your labor willingly.

The Compelling Cases for Investing in the San Francisco Housing Market
In the shining city of San Francisco, a tale of opportunity and prosperity unfolds within the housing market. Everyone gets mesmerized by the charming attraction of the San Francisco housing market when they witness the sun casting its beautiful golden colors on the stunning bay.
After all, entering the housing market here is full of challenges. To overcome such challenges, a professional real estate expert like Alexander Kiren can help you. His keen eye and strategic approach help you land the best property in the housing market.
In this blog, we will discover why investing in the San Francisco real estate  market is more than a mere financial endeavor.
Tumblr media
Ever-increasing appreciation value
The location of a property and its connection to infrastructure play a vital role in determining its value in a relatively short time. If a property owner invests additional money in a real estate hotspot, they can expect a substantial increase in annual profits.
According to the experts, the value of a real estate property rises by 6–8% every year in the housing market in San Francisco.
Tax benefits
When you invest in the housing market you can take advantage of tax benefits from maintenance and repair costs during periods of property depreciation.
Long-term real estate investors enjoy the advantage of lower tax rates compared to individuals involved in other sectors of the economy. This provides them with a beneficial tax environment that can contribute to their overall financial success.
Tangibility adds to real estate's value.
The tangible nature of real estate assets significantly increases their value and equity. In San Francisco, investors don't just see land as something stationary.
The San Francisco housing market has a high capitalization value. It is simple to purchase and sell. Moreover, it is also recognized as the safest economic enterprise that has the potential to greatly increase future generations' fortunes.
Alexander Kiren, a professional real estate investor, also helps people make their real estate investments, as they are relatively risk-free and can be used to generate various income streams.
Leverage
One of the best reasons to invest in real estate is leverage. Even if you just invest a small portion of your own savings or borrowed from someone, you still can get the hold of the property.
You can even pay 15% of the total purchase price if you come up with a down payment from your savings.
You can go for a home loan to cover the rest of the balance. This means you just put a very small amount of your money into the property, but you still get to own it. It also guarantees that you don't invest all of your life's profits in real estate and that you set aside some money in the case.
Cash Flow
Cash flow refers to the profit left over from a real estate investment after deducting operating costs and mortgage payments. It is the money that comes in regularly from rental income, providing a reliable source of passive income.
This consistent monthly income offers financial stability and security for the investor in the long run.
In many circumstances, as you pay down your mortgage and increase your equity, your cash flow will only get stronger over time. A good real estate investment generally gives you 6% or greater cash flow.
Conclusion
Investing in the San Francisco housing market goes beyond pursuing financial gains. It is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant narrative. Here, your investments contribute to the growth and prosperity of a city that captures the imagination of people worldwide.

So on Disney...
I was born and raised in Florida, and #Disney is coming to my hometown and laying flat things that once were conserved by nature laws. Disney has always overshadowed my life. Disney is like a giant looming over you, but you don't completely notice until one day you open your eyes, look up and realize "there's this thing and it has control of parts of your life". I've seen Disney shut down a daycare because they had a character on the wall without paying for licensing. (Why not remove the character? Yeah I know. S'not the point. There was no litigation. It was just shut down. Imagine being a low income parent losing your job because suddenly you had no childcare thanks to Disney. As I've lost a job because of a petty person quitting on me literally in the morning I had to go to work, I can tell you it's devastating.) I myself have had items I make removed because they MIGHT be inspired by the big corporate owned things. Videos copyright struck because, even though the song was public domain, I sang it too well or something. I dunno. So #DeSantis taking away Disney's right to be a sovereign nation in my hometown? You better fucking believe I cheered that on. THEY ARE NOT A POLITICAL ENTITY. THEY ARE A BUSINESS but somehow get more rights then you and I? Disney clapping back? Of course they would. DeSantis clapping back at the clap back? Of course it would happen. This is the action more and more people have been shouting to see: some actual movement towards good changes instead of bitch bitch bitch. No one has won against Disney? At least he's gonna try.
Do you want to know what's fascist? LIVING UNDER A CORPORATE THUMB, BEING TOLD WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT SAY, DO, SING, ETC BY BIG TECH. Like Disney. And others. I know because I've always lived in fear of the echoes, and even watched my family fight for our land. I don't understand people who claim to hate fascism gloat and cheer that Disney is going to squash a guy who is standing up against one of the many elements of fascism - that btw was doing it as part of a tax-free ride. Things are a bit more expensive here in Florida - but we don't pay income tax and even have free healthcare (or at least we used to. Grew up on free healthcare. I gotta check to see if that fact still stands.) So making that multi-million corporation pay their fair share? #HELLFUCKINGYES
I like some Disney stuff - the Buzz Lightyear movie was a snore but anyway - but if I can't live here tax free why should this corporation get to do it... and influence the laws that dictate how I live? I don't care if you like him. I don't care if you think he's a twit. That isn't the issue, and it's childish to pretend it is. The issue is that corporations in America were given the same rights as real citizens, and they've been using that (and propaganda) to shape the quality of our lives for the worse for at least a generation if not two. Repeal the laws that give them immunity and see how quickly things change. Vote with your feet while you can. Repeal the laws that don't allow you to. The law has been used against us. I noticed it when I was 12. I don't know why some of you adults can't see it now. #fuckthecorporaterule Also, quit coming to my state. Y'all have the housing here so high I can't buy a home even with preapprovement. Go somewhere else or I'm going to sic the queen of gators on you.

Why Do First-Time Homebuyers Love Cheap House And Land Packages?
When first-time homebuyers begin their search, they're often confronted with two options: buy a house and land for sale or purchase a house on its own. Purchasing a cheap house and land package has become increasingly popular over the past few years, but there are still many misconceptions surrounding this type of real estate sale.
In this article we'll discuss why first-time homebuyers love buying cheap houses and land packages, as well as how to determine if it's right for you.
Affordable Entry into Homeownership
The affordability of first-time homebuyers is one of the main reasons why they choose to buy a cheap house and land package. For instance, it's cheaper than buying a house and lot separately because you can save on the cost of hiring an architect or contractor who will design your dream home for you.
You don't have to worry about paying for permits either because these are already included in your package deal!
Renting an apartment might seem like an affordable option but over time it becomes more expensive than owning a property as rent goes up every year while mortgage payments remain constant (or even go down).
This means that buying now instead of renting later could save you thousands upon thousands over time - especially when considering how much money people spend on rent annually across Australia!
All-In-One Convenience
While it's true that cheap house and land packages Adelaide are more convenient, there are other reasons why first-time homebuyers love them.
For example, when you buy a cheap house and land package, you don't have to hire lawyers or surveyors. You also don't need builders or mortgage brokers because they're included in the price of your new home! All this means less stress and fewer costs for you as well as your family.
Tumblr media
Potential for Future Growth
If you are a first-time homebuyer and looking to purchase your first property, buying a cheap house and land package is a good option. There are many reasons why this is so but one of the most important ones is because it offers potential for future growth in the value of your property.
First time homebuyers who choose this type of investment can expect to see an increase in real estate prices over time as well as capital gains tax benefits when they sell their homes at higher prices than what they paid for them originally.
Lower Stamp Duty
Stamp duty is a tax that you pay when you buy a property in Australia. It's based on the purchase price of the property, and varies depending on the value and type of property.
Stamp duty rates vary depending on whether it's your first home or not, which state or territory you're buying in and whether or not there are any other buyers involved in your purchase (like family members).
Conclusion
We hope this article has given you some insight into why first-time homebuyers love cheap house and land packages Adelaide. Professionals know that many of you are looking to buy your first home, so they want to make sure that you have all the information needed before making such an important decision.

How to live off the grid?
For some people, living off-grid simply means being disconnected from the utilities. For others, off-grid living means living a completely self-sufficient life where you can meet all your needs - including electricity, food, and medicine - but using modern technology to help you do so.
Tumblr media
For others, going off-grid means living a primitive lifestyle without any modern technology. Shawllar's portable solar panels use the most advanced MWT technology available, with a conversion efficiency of up to 23.8%, to provide you with energy in time for your off-grid lifestyle. Compatible with the most commercially available power sources, you don't have to worry about matching them and you can enjoy off-grid living with peace of mind.
Tumblr media
In this article, we look at the costs of living off-grid and what you need to get started.
1 What does it take to live off-grid? Unless you are living a completely primitive lifestyle, the cost of going off-grid may be higher than you think. The main initial costs include land, house and outbuildings, electrical system, digging a well, septic tank, and equipment. If you do most of the work yourself, a rustic off-grid home on cheap land may initially cost as little as US$10,000 to US$20,000. However, most people will end up spending at least $100,000 on their off-grid properties and homes.
Tumblr media
If you want to be able to live self-sufficiently or profitably on your own land, you will need higher quality land, larger areas, and more complex systems, so expect to spend at least $200,000. Note: These prices come from many off-grid forums where people have discussed how much their projects have cost. Costs vary greatly depending on location, the technology used, etc.
Recurring costs of off-grid living Even when everything is set up and running, there are still many costs associated with living off-grid. Some of the recurring costs you may have to pay include property tax septic tank pumping every 1-3 years Equipment replacement parts Decreased efficiency of solar equipment Vehicle fuel propane wood for heating Insurance (property and health) Equipment/machinery rental Generally, these costs are cheaper or comparable to what you would pay if you were connected to the grid. However, they can often come as a surprise. For example, you may be surprised to find out how much more petrol your vehicle uses, given that you live in a remote location and often need to transport supplies. This is why it is vital to have a source of income when living off-grid.
What do I need to live off-grid?
Land Land is the most basic need for off-grid living. Unfortunately, finding suitable land is often not easy. If you want to live off the land - for example by having a garden or raising livestock - you need to find land that is large enough, water-rich and fertile to support these activities.
Shelter Most people probably think of a rustic cabin in the woods when they think of off-grid living, but there are many options for off-grid housing. Unfortunately, some of these options are not always legal. For example, most counties do not allow people to live in tents, yurts or caravans for more than a few weeks of the year (yes, even on your own land!) .
Tumblr media
Water The average American household uses over 300 gallons of water per day. Because this water comes from the tap, most people don't think much about it. However, when you have to supply all your water while living off-grid, it can be quite a challenge. If you have limited water on your land (which is the case in most western states), you will have to take drastic measures to reduce the amount of water you use. This may make it impossible for you to grow certain crops or raise livestock.
Power supply Although it is possible to live off the grid without any power supply, this is not convenient. You have to do things like fetch water by hand from a well rather than using an electric pump. I can think of a dozen other chores that would be a better use of my time! Also, remember that it gets dark very quickly in winter. If you don't have power for lighting, you will have to stop working when the sun goes down. You can, of course, use candles for lighting, but unless you keep bees, you will have to buy wax. Wouldn't it be easier to use renewable energy? Solar, wind, and hydropower are the main sources of off-grid electricity. Even with these systems, living off-grid still means learning to conserve. You probably don't use your air conditioner as often in the summer, nor do you use high-energy appliances such as hair dryers. This is a major lifestyle change, but one that many people will eventually enjoy as they simplify their lives.

-A public service announcement to all separatist radfems-
Dear gyns, when you are planning your separatist communities, please for the love of god figure out what level of separation and self-sufficiency you are looking for. And consider the following: most places in the US that are politically favorable to you are the least friendly towards off-grid, sustainable living. Guess which state is friendliest towards off-grid living?
Missouri.
They have the more relaxed zoning and building laws in the country. Their land is good for farming, both plants and animals. Winters won't actually kill you. The land is cheap. Wells are cheap and they allow for rainwater collection. They allow you to go completely solar and disconnect from the power grid. Most counties allow tiny houses.
Politically, Missouri is a disaster for women. They have some of the harshest abortion laws in the country, womens healthcare is hard to come by. But it is a survivalist/separatist wet dream.
There are so many considerations to even trying to separate yourself from society in a meaninful way. Water? Food? Power?
Enough solar panels to power even one house will run you upwards of 20,000 dollars. Enough outhouses will poison your water supply, if you can even legally own them. You have to have a septic system. And a well for water. Rainwater collection is illegal in some places, and you have to have all of the tanks and runoff components. Then... what if it doesn't rain?
What about food production? The most productive, environmentally friendly, diverse is aquaponic. It also has the highest startup costs. And you need to have an ininaye knowledge of bacteria and chemistry.
You can obviously raise chickens and goats free range but at a rate of 2-3 chickens per person just for eggs, and the amount of land you need secured to actually free-range without feed... you see where i'm going with this. Hell, an apple tree doesn't even produce fruit for the first 7 years of its life.
Skimping on any of these means you will have to buy groceries, water, pay an electric bill, and you will always pay property taxes. How will these costs get paid if you are trying to separate yourself from society completely? -Someone- will need to have actual money still. So someone will have to work an actual job. So, is your community really even separatist?
Hell, maybe you guys have actually hashed out these details and I just don't know enough about it.
But when i see separatists choosing locations based on political persuasions instead of how much they can actually use the land, i get incredibly frustrated.
Rednecks have been separating themselves from society for years. There's a reason they choose certain places to build their doomsday-prepper colonies and self-sufficient farms. Because they can actually survive there. Suddenly those 50lb bags of stockpiled survival rice don't seem so stupid.
Okay, rant over. Thanks.
