Third place finisher Michael Schumacher speaks English instead of German during the post-race press conference at the European Grand Prix (Part 2) - Sunday 24th June 2012
English section transcription under the cut
Interviewer: Michael [prompting him for the 'in your own language' segment]
Michael Schumacher: [In English] Yeah, it's uh... these moments that make Formula 1 so special. I just wanna say thanks to all, and everybody in the team that has just worked so hard for all those times that we've worked together. And these special moments, such as we had in Monaco, and now finally here being on the podium in the end of the race - it's those moments that we all love, and that's what we've all worked for.
We've been criticised, for the last races that we've had that didn't run to plan. But that's what is the best answer, to do what we did here - get a car reliable and be strong enough and fight our way back into the podium. And that's what I all love you for - to always be behind me, to always trust in me, so I do.
And uh... it's actually in German yeah? [laughs].
#HE REALLY DROPPED THE L-WORD TWICE IN FRONT OF GOD AND FERNANDO ALONSO#HE SAID I LOVE YOU TO HIS TEAM WITH HIS WHOLE CHEST#THE LOVE!!!!!!!!!! THE LOVE WAS THERE BETWEEN MICHAEL AND MERCEDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#IT'S BEEN 24 HOURS AND I'M STILL NOT OVER IT#Imagine being a Merc engineer and Michael said unprompted in front of many journalists that he loved you. I'd die on the spot I really woul#*hysterical sobbing*#(kept the German in just because. I don't speak German but it would have felt wrong to cut it out)#(also the moment he realises he was speaking English in the 'in your own language' section is painfully sweet)#ANYWAY! I love him a lot#he's a war criminal but he's MY war criminal#Formula 1#European Grand Prix#2012#European Grand Prix 2012#Press Conference#Michael Schumacher#european gp 2012

The Future of Justice: Navigating the Intersection of AI, Judges, and Human Oversight
One of the main benefits of AI in the justice system is its ability to analyze vast amounts of data and identify patterns that human judges may not notice. For example, the use of AI in the U.S. justice system has led to a significant reduction in the number of misjudgments, as AI-powered tools were able to identify potential biases in the data and make more accurate recommendations.
However, the use of AI in the justice system also raises significant concerns about the role of human judges and the need for oversight. As AI takes on an increasingly important role in decision-making, judges must find the balance between trusting AI and exercising their own judgement. This requires a deep understanding of the technology and its limitations, as well as the ability to critically evaluate the recommendations provided by AI.
The European Union's approach to AI in justice provides a valuable framework for other countries to follow. The EU's framework emphasizes the need for human oversight and accountability and recognizes that AI is a tool that should support judges, not replace them. This approach is reflected in the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which requires AI systems to be transparent, explainable and accountable.
The use of AI in the justice system also comes with its pitfalls. One of the biggest concerns is the possibility of bias in AI-generated recommendations. When AI is trained with skewed data, it can perpetuate and even reinforce existing biases, leading to unfair outcomes. For example, a study by the American Civil Liberties Union found that AI-powered facial recognition systems are more likely to misidentify people of color than white people.
To address these concerns, it is essential to develop and implement robust oversight mechanisms to ensure that AI systems are transparent, explainable and accountable. This includes conducting regular audits and testing of AI systems and providing clear guidelines and regulations for the use of AI in the justice system.
In addition to oversight mechanisms, it is also important to develop and implement education and training programs for judges and other justice professionals. This will enable them to understand the capabilities and limitations of AI, as well as the potential risks and challenges associated with its use. By providing judges with the necessary skills and knowledge, we can ensure that AI is used in a way that supports judges and enhances the fairness and accountability of the justice system.

“people in the west only care about the holocaust because Ashkenazi Jews are currently racialized as white” is not the revolutionary take you think it is
#sorry i just saw the worst fucking post.#spitting with anger rn#people in the west only cared about the holocaust AFTER THE FUCKING WAR#and only cared at all because hitler was trying to conquer europe aka their centers of power#believe me. if hitler just wanted to kill all Jews and leave all the nice Europeans alone they would not care. because#european/western powers didn’t care if jews and rromani died!! they didnt give a fuck about us!!!#they had the fucking chance to care. and they did not. read about the Evian conference.#this is NOT TO SAY that it’s not fucking disgusting the way ppl in the west are callous about genocide#but maybe take like. three seconds. to figure out if you’re actually trying to make about about that. or if you’re just??#dismissing the holocaust??? as not that big a deal????#or comparing genocides like some kind of historical level oppression olympics???#sorry just. fuck you. fuck you for real. i am so angry#will probably delete this in 5 minutes i am exhausted.

I live in Prague and there’s this football match between the UK and Italy happening, don’t ask me what exactly bcs I don’t know and I don’t care.
What I do care about is them being aggressive, trashing this city and turning it to a dangerous place.
Can they calm down their testosterone or whatever shit is causing them to act this way. Like enjoy the game, sure, but there’s no need to act like literal animals. Maybe not animals even, pure beasts.
Just chill.

International Academic Conferences on Distance Education
International Academic Conference is a great way which allows researchers to present their findings to a committee which taking place around the world. An academic conference is a platform where you get a chance to share your research findings and engage in insightful discussions with others on the latest happenings of a particular subject in your field of study. It offers the opportunity to peer over the fence and see what’s going on outside of a particular specialty. It also can be called a research conference, academic congress or symposium. In this field researchers can come together, present their research, comment on each other’s research, network with one another and engage in career development in their profession. Symposium, Seminar, Colloquium and Workshop are the four different types of conferences. Communication, problem solving capacity, leadership and decision making power and many more skills are developed through conferences.
Distance education is a system of education in which there is no face to face contact of the source of information and the learner, they are separated by time and way of distance but they are linked through correspondence, television, radio talk, phone or computer. The main aim of distance education is to provide quality education to which those cannot access traditional education due to geographical, financial and other constraints. A degree acquired in the distance mode from a UGC-DEB is equivalent to a degree acquired through the regular mode. In distance education there is a flexible schedule, unmatchable accessibility, less cost and reduces travelling pressure. The learning experience must have a clear purpose with tightly focused outcomes and objectives.
Distance education aims to give quality education to all. How to manage it? What is Distance education actually? What are the types of Distance education? Distance education system in India. What is difference between open education and distance education? Who is the father of distance education? What is the benefit of distance education? What are the advantages and disadvantages in distance education? What is online education system? These are the valid point to know about distance learning. Can learning environments must include problem based as well as knowledge based learning. Distance learning is clearer when we attend conference, seminars, workshops, events related to distance education.

I'm travelling to the USA for the first time in my life. I go to a conference, but take a few days vacation to explore a bit. First stop: New York City.
I just read how to purchase metro tickets. And this made me burst out laughing. I was so confused! My mind: "Children under 44 can ride for free. What?? ... What???"
It took me a minute to realize. But still I have no idea how big children I can take with me. 😂

Third placed finisher Michael Schumacher speaks during the post-race press conference at the European Grand Prix (Part 1) - Sunday 24th June 2012
full transcript under the cut
Interviewer: Michael, they say you can't overtake on this track. You certainly had your fair share of that today as well. Welcome back to the podium again, at what stage did you think this podium was a possibility?
Michael Schumacher: I didn't actually think about a podium, at all! Neither in the end of the race, it was crossing the line that I asked my guys "Where did we finish?" because I saw Webber's pit board close to the end that showed him 8th and 7th so I knew I was one place ahead of that one. And then the boys told me "That's third, that's a podium!". I said "I can't believe that" I mean... that's something I didn't really expect.
You sort of lose count, because I was pretty busy in that last stage of the race, plus then Maldonado and Hamilton had their issue... but probably a normal one minus one would give the three but I lost counting at that stage.
Interviewer: It's moments like this that brought you back to the sport though I'm sure.
Michael Schumacher: Yeah it's those moments that definitely you enjoy deeply, and it's just a wonderful feeling to be back after such a long time. We were a couple of times close to it, finally it happened. It happened in a pretty spectacular way on a track that it is difficult to pass, but due to various strategies and differences on track it was pretty exciting. And that's obviously the best way - if you manage they way I did today to jump the podium unexpectedly, makes you extra happy!

I'm finishing up the Belgian gp(2005) rn and I was gonna put this commentary in the tags of my post-race highlights post, but it would be like, a giant paragraph, so I'll just put my commentary in these tags lol bcs I need to ramble abt this cause it's actually insane to me
#so okay rn im absolutely baffled rn abt how mclaren has basically made the same exact mistake 3x in one season#like the accuracy of them fumbling on exactly the 2nd-3rd to last lap consistently is so wild????#like tell me its not morbidly impressive the way theyve managed to make the same mistake 3x???? its just insane to me#down to the exact detail of montoya letting fernando into p2 twice and kimi letting him into p1#even the commentators were like "wait wtf isnt this the exact same situation as turkey???' and im yelling at my screen I KNOW RIGHT#to quite literally quote them he said#'almost a carbon copy of turkey then. running 3rd. behind montoya. mclaren up for a 1-2. doesnt work out that way. alonso picks up 2nd.'#kimi in the european gp is forgiveable bcs absolutely no one could have predicted his axel just noping out#but BRUH montoya how the hell are you gonna make the exact same mistake twice down to the exact detail?????#haha tho i love nando saying smth in the press conference like: 'well mclaren is certainly helping me'#catie.rambling.txt

team news:
ೄྀ࿐ richarlison ˊˎ-
unfortunate but expected news about striker richarlison, as ange postecoglou informs the press he will indeed be out for the foreseeable future following the weekend fixture against aston villa. “from the weekend, obviously richy [richarlison] unfortunately injured his hamstring. so, still getting final information but i think he’ll be out for a while.”
ೄྀ࿐ romero ˊˎ-
relatively positive news surrounding the vice captain as it is revealed the suspected toe injury is not something to particularly worry about. “romero, i think nothing too serious, so hopefully still a chance for the weekend.”
ೄྀ࿐ werner ˊˎ-
not many words were spoken of the german loanee, who played a crucial part in spurs’s victory versus man city in the carabao cup last week. he later asked to come off and was an unused sub during the weekend fixture. it doesn’t seem too serious, but enough to keep him out of the squad. “timo werner has been carrying a groin complaint which is still there, so he didn’t travel.”
ೄྀ࿐ moore ˊˎ-
the seventeen year old talent has “picked up a virus” according to postecoglou, so he was unable to travel with the squad to turkey.
ೄྀ࿐ van de ven ˊˎ-
micky van de ven was not mentioned in the press conference as his injury situation remains the same after being forced off against man city, and he will not feature.
