Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Klaus took the bullet for Dave in Vietnam. Klaus comes back (not realizing he should, in fact, be VERY dead) to a Dave that is heartbroken and thinks he is dead, scares the shit out of him by reassuring that he is not in fact a part of the afterlife, and brings up the briefcase and bringing Dave back with him to 2019. Dave agrees and Klaus gets on track to being semi-sober with Dave's help. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Ben didn't check the tank and blew it up like he was supposed to. A world where he walked home from the mission and waited for Five to come back like Viktor did when he made Five nutfluff sandwiches every night. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Allison didn't rumor Claire and went to therapy and took deep breaths and didn't mess things up. A world where she kept her daughter and even if she and Patrick split she still was in good graces to spend time with her kid. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Diego got Patch's message in time and managed to make it to the hotel room to either help her deal with Hazel & Cha-Cha or he got there before her injuries were too far gone and he was able to save her. A world where he kept her safe. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Luther let Five do his job instead of threatening to drop Dolores out the window to keep Five from murdering people that might kick-start the apocalypse. A world where Luther understood where Five was coming from and didn't threaten to break the only thing that Five had learned to love. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but someone found out Viktor had powers and helped get him off of his power-supressing meds and helped him figure out how to use them. A world where Viktor was helped rather than left to spiral into a mindless rage that would end the world. Umbrella Academy where everything is the same (NOT) but Five learns about the subway before meeting the Handler and he learns potential outcomes and how best to solve the apocalypse. A world where he takes the Handler's deal but he breaks down the comission (or at least removes her from it, creep) and gets back to his family, and despite looking young he is alive, everyone is alive, and he checks the subway regularly (that he has made a map of) for potential oncoming threats. He learned at a young age during one of his subway explorations that he would inevitably kill Lila's parents, and he never does it, pretends to get the mission done so that his cover isn't blown before he goes home. Umbrella Academy where everything turns out okay because Five utilized the subway, people listened to each other, and they didn't have poor timing. Umbrella Academy where things didn't hurt as bad. A "do-over", if you will. Like "The Day That Wasn't" episode.

Just rewatched B99 after rewatching TUA and I realised…

Eudora Patch and Diego Hargreeves are just an alternative version of Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta. One that didn‘t reconcile, get married and have a child.

Now I‘m imagining if it was the other way around.

Jake telling Amy to “try things his way“, only for her to die in his arms.

Diego realising that growing up is necessary and he doesn‘t have to appeal to his father even after moving out, slowly growing closer with Eudora again.

What if it was the other way around?

Awkward....Eudora/Diego, Lila/Diego

An apocalypse happens, Five takes another jump in time with his family and Lila. They end up back in the original timeline, a few days before April first but they know what not to do so that's not too much of a worry.

Except. This was before Diego's ex Eudora died.

Eudora checks in with Diego because last she heard he was looking for his brother and then didn't hear from in multiple days. Wait. Who is this lady he's with? His girlfriend? Since when? Why didn't Diego's tell her??? And why does this Lila look like she's about to murder her????

LMFAO, just thought of this and the stress Diego would have to go through. Oh would be quite sad too. But if I just ignore the emotional whiplash Diego would feel it'd be quite hilarious to see him stressing between two powerful women who are mad at him rn. Plus Lila looking at Eudora n being like, hm, well I'm better and I could probably murder her easily.

I never noticed that in season one of tua:

Klaus gets kidnapped and NOBODY notices. Of course, this portrays how he's unappreciated and unacknowleged as an important member of the "family", whatsoever.

BUT while everyone is looking for tipsy, mature Five, causing little family drama, THE ONE FINDING HIM IS THE EX-GIRLFRIEND OF DIEGO WHO JUST MISUNDERSTOOD HIS COMPLAINS?!?! AND THAT K!LLED HER?!?

Panel 5: Lila waves her hand reassuringly. "No, I totally get it!"

Panel 6: Lila holds out her hand to Patch, smiling. "I'll tell you everything I learn."

Food for thought since they ruined my view of Five and Lila.

In my AU if they all ended up living instead I'd say Diego and Lila should get divorced and maybe he should get back with his ex Eudora Patch since girly wouldn't cheat on him and they can finally patch things up

Like if Lila's parents are alive in this s4 then Eudora should be alive in this timeline as well

my dash is inspiring me; we should just make up some fucking batshit theories for s4 and run with them. i’ll go first:

- viktor and diego make the prime 8s (idk if it’s canon to the show) and defeat reginald with the power of music, team zero style, for the final battle. everyone plays dif instruments. think battle of the bands.

- in the middle of the season, brellie ben has an interlude where he picks up all of the characters that Deserved Better (imo) from the afterlife (eudora, dave, stanley, hazel, robot grace, etc) and they come back through some portal thing relating to the horror and fight in the final battle.

- brellie ben and sparrow ben Fucking Hate Each Other. everyone else thinks it’s hilarious. they keep jinxing each other. “STOP COPYING ME!”

- they recreate the spider-man meme

- at some point there are like 8 versions of five from different points in his life and they are all fighting each other.

- they also recreate the spider-man meme

- that or they just sit down and have tea and play cards. and everyone’s like ???

- lila and sloane have a girls night and blood is shed.

- raymond chestnut gets a gun.

- stanley comes back through the whole ben thing and he is an adult now. he gets a gun.

- CLAIRE!!!! gets .. a gun..?

- somebody’s gotta be doing some gay shit somewhere. or someone has a companion with lots of homoerotic vibes. somebody dies.

-timeloop episode where it’s as fucked up as the day that wasn’t. klaus is involved. allison is also involved. they think they break it at the end of the episode but then the start of the next episode they’re still in it. the audience is only somewhat aware of the mechanics.

- they get their powers back but they’re all swapped, ensue shenanigans.
