The Philosophy of Agency
The philosophy of agency is a branch of philosophy that explores the nature of human action, the capacity for individuals to act, and the conditions under which actions are performed. It is primarily concerned with understanding what it means to be an agent, how agency is exercised, and what factors influence or determine an agent’s actions.
Key Concepts in the Philosophy of Agency:
Agency:
Definition: Agency refers to the capacity of an individual to act independently, make choices, and impose those choices on the world. An agent is typically understood as a being with the ability to initiate actions based on desires, intentions, or reasons.
Central Question: What does it mean to be an agent, and what are the essential characteristics that distinguish agents from non-agents?
Free Will:
Relationship to Agency: Free will is a central concept in discussions of agency. It concerns the ability of individuals to make choices that are not determined by prior causes. The extent to which agents possess free will is a key area of debate in the philosophy of agency.
Debates: The debate between determinism (the view that all events, including human actions, are determined by preceding causes) and libertarianism (the view that free will is incompatible with determinism and that agents have the ability to choose freely) is crucial in understanding agency.
Intentionality:
Definition: Intentionality refers to the quality of mental states that are directed towards something, such as beliefs, desires, or intentions. An agent's actions are often said to be intentional if they are guided by specific goals or purposes.
Importance: The philosophy of agency examines how intentions translate into actions and how intentional actions differ from non-intentional or accidental behaviors.
Moral Responsibility:
Connection to Agency: Moral responsibility presupposes agency; that is, individuals are held morally responsible for their actions because they are agents capable of making decisions and acting on them.
Questions: How does the capacity for agency relate to moral responsibility? Are agents always morally responsible for their actions, or are there circumstances that mitigate or eliminate responsibility?
Autonomy:
Definition: Autonomy refers to the capacity of an agent to govern themselves, make their own decisions, and act according to their own principles and values.
Relevance: Autonomy is often discussed in relation to agency, especially concerning the conditions that must be met for an action to be truly autonomous (e.g., freedom from coercion or manipulation).
Action Theory:
Field of Study: The philosophy of agency is closely related to action theory, which investigates the nature of actions, the processes leading to actions, and the distinctions between different kinds of actions (e.g., intentional vs. unintentional, voluntary vs. involuntary).
Key Questions: What distinguishes an action from a mere bodily movement? What role do reasons, beliefs, and desires play in the performance of an action?
The Role of Rationality:
Rational Agency: Many philosophical accounts of agency emphasize the role of rationality in guiding an agent’s actions. Rational agents are those who act based on reasons that align with their beliefs and desires.
Debate: There is debate over whether all agency must be rational or whether irrational or non-rational actions can still be considered genuine exercises of agency.
Major Theories of Agency:
Causal Theories of Action:
Overview: Causal theories assert that actions are events caused by mental states, such as beliefs and desires. An action is typically seen as the outcome of a causal chain that begins with an agent's intention.
Non-Causal Theories of Action:
Overview: Non-causal theories challenge the idea that actions must be caused by prior mental states. Instead, they propose that actions can be explained through reasons rather than causes, emphasizing the role of rational deliberation and choice.
Compatibilism:
Overview: Compatibilism is the view that free will and determinism are compatible. Compatibilists argue that agents can be free even if their actions are determined by prior causes, as long as those actions align with their desires and intentions.
Libertarianism:
Overview: Libertarianism asserts that agents have free will and that this freedom is incompatible with determinism. Libertarians believe that agents have the power to make genuinely free choices that are not determined by past events.
Structural Theories of Agency:
Overview: These theories emphasize the structures within which agency is exercised, such as social, economic, or institutional frameworks. They explore how these structures enable or constrain individual agency.
The philosophy of agency is a rich and complex field that examines the nature of human action, the conditions for exercising agency, and the implications for moral responsibility and autonomy. By exploring these issues, philosophers aim to better understand what it means to be a free and responsible agent in a world of complex influences and constraints.

My dissertation on why people are super weird about race and porn.
So I've noticed in my short time on earth that certain sub-groups and just a strange fixation on porn explicitly involving race as the focus which doesn't involve interracial stuff. In this type of material I believe is at best a subtle racist undertone and at worst just plain racism, usually it's cause it involves the degredation of one racial group or another. Another thought I have is that it allows people to engage in a (mostly) socially abhorrent idea (racism & ethno degredation) without much guilt and thought as to them and others it is merely porn. This is dangerous because like all media it influences us and things like BBC or BWC or BLC can impact our worldview especially with unhealthy consumption. The history of this can be drawn to the history and exoticism that Europeans had where non-white women were seen as lesser but at the same time more attractive, as time has gone on and societies have generally become more egalitarian most ethnic groups have engaged in this new neo- exoticism. Also prevalant is a undercurrent of colonization in which the wombs of another ethnic group are colonized and their population is reduced, this once again stems from European setters often forcefully impregnating them which now has proliferated thought most societies and ethnic groups in the form of people with said fantasy. Now the answer to this is simple, simply be more mindful about your consumption and remember to keep things in mind when or if you engage or try these sexual acts/porn.

"Unveiling the Unseen: A Profound Exploration of 'Clairvoyance and Occult Powers' by Swami Panchadasi"
Title: "Unveiling the Unseen: A Profound Exploration of 'Clairvoyance and Occult Powers' by Swami Panchadasi"
Swami Panchadasi's (A.K.A. Atkinson, William Walker) "Clairvoyance and Occult Powers" beckons readers into the enigmatic realms of extrasensory perception and mystical abilities. As I delved into the pages of this esoteric work, I found myself immersed in a fascinating journey through the intricacies of clairvoyance, the third eye, and the untapped potentials of the human mind. The title alone promises a profound exploration of occult powers, and Swami Panchadasi does not disappoint.
At the heart of the book lies an in-depth exploration of clairvoyance, the ability to perceive beyond the limitations of the physical senses. Swami Panchadasi, drawing upon his deep knowledge of Eastern mysticism, unveils the secrets of developing and harnessing this psychic faculty. His teachings guide readers through the nuances of opening the third eye, awakening dormant powers, and tapping into the unseen forces that permeate our existence.
One of the notable strengths of Panchadasi's work is its accessibility. Despite delving into intricate metaphysical concepts, the author presents the material in a manner that is comprehensible to both novices and seasoned practitioners. The step-by-step instructions and practical exercises provided serve as a roadmap for individuals seeking to cultivate their latent psychic abilities.
The book also delves into various occult powers beyond clairvoyance, offering insights into telepathy, psychometry, and the manipulation of vital life forces. Panchadasi's approach is not merely theoretical; he provides practical exercises and guidance, inviting readers to embark on a personal journey of self-discovery and spiritual development.
What sets "Clairvoyance and Occult Powers" apart is its blend of Eastern mysticism and Western occultism. Swami Panchadasi draws from a diverse range of spiritual traditions, creating a synthesis that resonates with a broad audience. The inclusion of anecdotes, case studies, and historical references adds depth to the narrative, illustrating the universality of these mystical experiences.
While the subject matter may challenge conventional beliefs, Panchadasi approaches it with a sense of reverence and responsibility. The emphasis on ethical considerations and the cautionary advice regarding the use of occult powers underscore the author's commitment to guiding readers toward a balanced and mindful exploration of these mystical realms.
In conclusion, "Clairvoyance and Occult Powers" by Swami Panchadasi is a captivating exploration of the unseen dimensions of human potential. Whether one approaches it with skepticism or an open mind, the book offers a thought-provoking journey into the realms of the mystical and the metaphysical. Panchadasi's lucid prose, coupled with practical exercises, makes this work an invaluable resource for those curious about unlocking the hidden potentials of the mind and delving into the mysteries that lie beyond the veil of the material world.

Parasitical Abduction And Its Legality
The ethical implications of parasitical abduction—where a living human body is exploited for profit or research—are multifaceted. Here are some key considerations:
Autonomy and Consent: Abducting body parts without informed consent violates an individual’s autonomy. Consent is fundamental to medical procedures, research, and organ donation. Without it, actions become ethically questionable.
Exploitation: Parasitical abduction exploits vulnerable individuals. Those who lack resources or legal protections may be disproportionately affected. Exploiters prioritize their own interests over the well-being of the abducted person.
Ownership and Commodification: Viewing the human body as a commodity raises ethical concerns. Should body parts be bought, sold, or treated as property? Balancing medical advancements with respect for human dignity is crucial.
Benefit vs. Harm: Parasitical abduction may lead to scientific advancements, but at what cost? Weighing potential benefits against harm is essential. Ethical frameworks like utilitarianism or deontology guide such evaluations.
Legal Frameworks: Laws vary globally. Some countries have strict regulations on organ transplantation and tissue use. Ethical debates inform legal decisions, but gaps remain.
Social Justice: Parasitical abduction intersects with social justice. Access to healthcare, education, and legal representation affects vulnerability. Ethical solutions must address systemic inequalities.
In summary, the ethical implications involve autonomy, exploitation, ownership, benefit-harm balance, legal frameworks, and social justice.
Please be reminded that throughout such harmful and greedy processes the Sangha and yourself are not alive to write about or explain peace. You and the Sangha are alive to be peace. You live each moment of your life by example and that example is being peace.

The Philosophy of Virtue Epistemology
Virtue epistemology is an approach within the field of epistemology that emphasizes the role of the intellectual virtues in the acquisition and justification of knowledge. This perspective shifts the focus from traditional epistemological concerns about the nature and scope of knowledge to the character and intellectual virtues of the knower. It suggests that possessing certain intellectual virtues—such as open-mindedness, intellectual courage, and intellectual humility—plays a crucial role in forming true beliefs and achieving knowledge.
Key Concepts and Theories in Virtue Epistemology
Intellectual Virtues: Central to virtue epistemology are intellectual virtues, which are traits or qualities that aid individuals in their pursuit of knowledge and truth. Examples include curiosity, diligence, intellectual autonomy, and fair-mindedness. These virtues help guide one's cognitive processes and decision-making in epistemic practices.
Responsibilist Virtue Epistemology: This branch focuses on the agent's responsibility in cultivating intellectual virtues. It holds that individuals are responsible for developing and exercising intellectual virtues to become good knowers. Linda Zagzebski and Lorraine Code are prominent philosophers in this tradition.
Reliabilist Virtue Epistemology: Contrasting with responsibilism, reliabilist virtue epistemology emphasizes the reliability of cognitive processes and abilities in producing true beliefs. Here, intellectual virtues are seen as reliable faculties or competences that lead to the formation of true beliefs. Ernest Sosa is a key figure in this school of thought.
Epistemic Responsibility: Virtue epistemology underscores the importance of epistemic responsibility, which involves being accountable for one's beliefs and ensuring they are well-grounded. This responsibility is closely tied to the cultivation and exercise of intellectual virtues.
Contextualism and Situationism: These theories examine how context and situational factors influence the exercise of intellectual virtues. They explore the interplay between an individual's character and their environment, highlighting the importance of external conditions in the development and application of intellectual virtues.
Moral and Epistemic Virtues: Virtue epistemology often draws parallels between moral virtues and intellectual virtues. Just as moral virtues contribute to ethical behavior, intellectual virtues contribute to epistemic excellence. This analogy helps bridge the gap between ethical and epistemic evaluations of individuals.
Virtue epistemology offers a rich and nuanced framework for understanding knowledge acquisition and justification. By focusing on the intellectual character and virtues of the knower, it provides a comprehensive approach that integrates ethical considerations into epistemic practices. This perspective not only enhances our understanding of what it means to know but also encourages the cultivation of intellectual virtues that contribute to a flourishing epistemic life.
