I love your polls and it’s great you try to be on both sides to give fair chance to everyone, but the way you talked about shanks/buggy is crazy They’re fine together but in canon they’re brothers and your shipping googles got so tight you actually sounded like you could believe they’re anywhere close to canon which is u know stupid af
lmao, okay, this came out of nowhere 😂 Like... I talked about that months ago. But okay.
Anyway, Shuggy is canon. They're making out behind you right now.

Spideypoolverine Headcanons
Because I have an obsession
Also some of these might be slightly Deadpool and Wolverine (movie) specific
•Both Logan and Wade call Peter 'Petey' (or Petey-Pie sometimes in Wade's case) (Logan called Jean Jeannie in the comics so. He would def call Peter Petey)
•Peter and Wade can both safely sleep next to Logan despite his claws coming out sometimes (Wade because he can regenerate obviously and Peter because his spider sense works even in his sleep)
•Logan is slightly more successful than Wade at getting Peter to sleep/eat/rest properly. Mostly because Logan won't take no for answer and will try to wrestle the guy into taking a nap (even though Peter is stronger sometimes he just relents and lets Logan win)
•Speaking of Peter being stronger, it took Logan forever to realize this, (Post DP&W) especially since Peter pulls his punches while fighting. Logan could tell he was really fast and agile so he thought that was the main reason Spidey did so well. So the first time Spidey got buried by some rubble, Logan panics. He thinks there's no way Spidey isn't horribly injured. Probably goes a little crazy and gets a little too violent, ending whatever conflict it was before Spidey can unbury himself from the rubble. He is definitely not super clingy afterwards.
•Logan doesn't fully grasp how strong Spidey is until he like, catches a car going 60 mph or something. He does get an inkling of it though when Peter picks him up and carries him around like he weighs nothing. Wade can also pick Logan up too. He does not like that they can do this. He secretly enjoys it a lot.
•Wade and Logan are, of course, very protective of their mortal squishy boyfriend. This does mean that they jump in front of attacks that he would easily dodge with his Spider sense. Peter does not like this.
•Peter also does not like their wanton violence to each other. Especially since he's the one who usually cleans up the blood. But he really just doesn't enjoy either of them being injured. Even though he knows they will heal, it still bothers him.
•Logan and Wade fight over who gets to patch up Peter when he gets injured enough to need stitches, bandanging up, etc. both claiming they are better at it. In reality it doesn't matter which of them does it, as long as Peter doesn't do it himself, as he sucks at it.
•Logan loves that Peter and Wade are both yappers. He likes that at least one of them is probably talking, if not both of them talking rapidly together. He likes the noise even if he isn't listening, though he usually is.
•Wade is, of course, physically clingy. He's almost always touching one if not both of them. Holding their hand, his hand on their thigh, playing with their hair, pulling them to sit on his lap or sitting on their lap, etc. It becomes infectious to where the three of them are just constantly touching if they're home, probably still holding hands or in close proximity out in public.
•Peter takes many pictures of the other two, most of them candid. Pictures of Logan sleeping on the recliner like an old man, of Wade mid-laughing, of the two of them wrestling, etc.
•Wade is the money-maker, Logan cooks, and Peter keeps their place clean.
•Wade is the most classically 'romantic'. Buying flowers and gifts for the other two, planning fun dates, writing silly love notes, etc. He doesn't really care if he receives things in return, though of course he appreciates it, he just likes to give them things.
•It really bothers Peter how both of them are in chronic pain (which is borderline canon for both Wolvie and DP) and that they both struggle with mental health issues (PTSD for Logan and the voices along with other things for Wade) and tries to find ways to help them since he's smart enough to. Even if it's little things like heated blankets or specially formulated lotions, icy hot, etc. I imagine he would spend a lot of time trying to make them feel better, including trying to develop drugs that actually work with their healing factors.
I could keep going because I think about these three way too often but I'll end it here. Maybe I'll make another post later about more headcanons I have hahah.

racism tw. i hope this okay to send to your askbox and totally understand if you choose to ignore it. i just had an Incident today with the fandom that i kind of want to talk about but i don't really participate in the fandom anymore so i don't really have the platform for it, and i saw you confronting racism in the fandom so it seemed like a good time to send this to you if that makes sense?
racism in the dragon age fandom is unreal. today i had somebody claim sebastian is racist (where? when?) and then go on to say how great ANDERS is on my silly little joke post that got unexpectedly popular.
i know it's popular fanon to ignore that anders approves of selling fenris to danarius and i respect it (especially when it comes to fans of colour choosing to headcanon it away) but making up reasons to hate a brown man while completely ignoring how your precious white boy fave will canonically approve of slavery is not a good look.
also, thinking about how the fandom hates sebastian but loves leliana makes my blood boil. how are they so different, outside of one of them being a poc and the other white, that you can hate one and not the other? honestly i feel more for sebastian, who was forced into the chantry and clearly has some religious trauma, than leliana who chose to join it and can become the pope. yes, she does great things as the pope, but she never joined the chantry with the intent to change it. had the blight never happened she would have been content to stay a lay sister in lothering.
and then even sebastian fans are super racist against him! im tired of art depicting him as white. blue eyes =/= white. scottish accent =/= white which is genuinely the dumbest aregument ever. do people think scottish people of colour just speak with an american or british accent??
i have even more to say but i'm going to stop here because this is much longer than i ever intended and im just kind of tired of thinking about this. thank you for taking the time to read and everything you do for the fandom <3
wait i just sent you an ask referring to leliana as the pope. that was meant to be a placeholder i forgot what the divine was called so i was going to google it and edit it before hitting send fml
You are 100% correct. On one hand, you've got people bending over backwards to make up excuses to why they're exempt from racism in their hate of Sebastian that makes no actual sense, because really they just put unreasonable expectations on a brown character's existence that they don't extend to white characters. And on the other hand, you've got people who only like their whitewashed idea of him.
And for some reason people think it's totally reasonable to reblog or rpely to posts from fans of Sebastian with hate? Like there are very few characters in DA I can think of who fandom at large have normalized hating as much as him. Vivienne is really the only other one that comes immediately to mind. Even Anders has just as many if not more defenders as he does people who hate-post about him.
(And to be clear I myself love Anders. But this post is not about Anders. This post is about Sebastian and fandom racism.)

Another day, another fantastic time to debunk completely delulu takes I've seen around. This one actually baffles me on a whole new level, and that people are ACTUALLY thinking it is canon it's giving me a headache.
Why, yes, on that nutter house that is twitterX (and here too unfortunately) people are now claiming that Eddie was Buck's Bi awakening in 2x01 in place of Oliver's recent interview.
First of all shall we look at the definition of Bi awakening, shall we?
"When someone, who thought or assumed they're straight, develops a crush on someone of the same gender and leads to them wondering if they are bisexual."
The key thing here is the realisation. You cannot have a bi awakening without having a moment where you are like "do I like the same gender too? Am I not straight? Am I bisexual?"
Which is EXACTLY what is happening on 7x04 and 7x05 with Buck exploring his feelings for Tommy before AND after the kiss.
There's NO bi awakening on 2x01 because Buck doesn't question in behaviour!! He doesn't have any moment where he considers his animosity about Eddie as anything more than intense dislike, jealousy and fear of being replaced.
Some of you are taking things too far. You are purposefully trying to ERASE actual canon content about a beloved character's bi awakening (something huge, especially with a 30 y/o character) just because you cannot stop for a second and not insert Buddie everywhere you like, even going as far as completely invalidating Buck's journey.
I'm not denying that in retrospect Buck may have found Eddie attractive (Oliver confirmed this as a strong possibility, yes, but that doesn't equal realisation since Oliver also acknowledged that Buck does not look any farther on his feelings on Eddie than interpreting them as personal jealousy).
But canonically Buck's bi awakening is Tommy.
You may not like it, you may not ship it, but you can't behave like this. Headcanons are all well and good, but presenting them as gospel and canon content? Y'all need to take a deep breath and actually get off the internet for a while.
This behaviour is only going to hurt the fandom in the long term. And it is not the first time or the first instance where you take something Oliver said in interviews and completely misinterpret it to suit your pipeline. Try some critical thinking, y'all.
(I'm aware not everyone is thinking like this, but those types of posts are getting over one thousand likes each. At this point it is a fandom problem.)

Matthew Patel general headcanons! ^_^
(some of these are ideas from other peoples headcanons as well! I'm not claiming any of these as completely original,, I just think they're AWESOME and i wanna write them down. I'm very sorry if my headcanons seem like they're stealing from anyone, that is not my intention and if wanted I can remove anything that seems too simliar to an idea that anyones already posted.) - Matt has a hobby of painting his nails sometimes, the only colors he's been seen with are black, gray, and red. But black is the most common color he chooses, its easy and he likes black in general. - though Matthew ALSO has a hobby of chewing his nails (mostly just for stimulation purposes, he likes doing things with his hands a lot when hes bored.) so this ends up in clipped nail polish a lot of the time. - smell wise, I think he has an odd smoky scent, not like cigarette smoke or anything but just smoke in general, like burning wood. With a light hint of vanilla. - I feel like hes skilled with his fire powers yet also notttt...? like he KNOWS how to control them in a battle and hes good at it. -But also he accidently sets them off sometimes without realizing, mostly when hes feeling intense emotions or nerves. - OKAY. HEAR ME OUT ON THIS ONE. I feel like in the late 2000s, Matthew would REALLY enjoy making Youtube sketches online, you gotta understand. HE WOULD LOVE BEING A CONTENT CREATOR!! I think he would have a lot of fun with having a small 'fanbase' and being able to post his ideas online. - continuing onto that, I also think he'd have a blog. Its a half and half of him talking about his favorite productions/movies and also him complaining about random stuff. He probably would think roleplaying is fun but this might be me projecting at this point. - I think he has a hard time balancing his confidence and insecurity, like its a very MIXED bag of how he feels about himself. Sadly hes pretty easy to shut down when hes confident as well I think, since his confidence is mainly just 'fake it till you make it' except he isnt fully there yet. - Matthew likes playing around with his style sometimes, especially if someone around him gives him clothes or asks him to put something on. I think he wouldnt be too into bright colors, but he'd play around with some things on himself. Like different kinds of makeup, jewelry, etc. - I feel like he has dyslexia. I dont have anything else to add I just stole this one from my friend, but its canon in my mind. - I think he has a mix of an Indian and American accent. (this headcanon exists in my mind mainly due to the fact that in Satya's audition for Matthew in the movie he used a mix of an Indian and American accent as well and i thought it was a very nice touch.) - speaking of America, I feel like Matthew grew up in the South-West of USA, I dont have a reason for this I think its just projection again. - he's actually very close with his demon hipster chicks (I also might actually post about the demon girls soon as I also have my own hcs on them) Since I like to think he summoned them in highschool and they've kinda just stuck around since. - I think hes a decent singer, though singing is something he enjoys just both as a pastime and as a career goal, so he'd practice often. - I feel like the same thing can be said with acting in general, he enjoys practicing a lot on his acting skills, he'd probably think improv is really fun. - probably a people pleaser due to how he just acts sometimes, I dont know I just feel it in my bones. okay I'm done :P also I feel like I might need to add; my idea of Matthew in my head is mainly a mix of all four medias of him, so this isnt supposed to be about any Matthew in particular. sorry for any grammar mistakes I dont have any excuse I'm just stupid!!

A guide to writing Bi-Han
I've seen far too many fanfics/oneshots/headcanons and art pieces out there completely mischaraterizing Bi-Han to the point he becomes unrecognizable from who he is in canon. For fans who love Bi-Han as he is, it can be quite frustrating to see people misunderstand his character so much. This post is not meant to be criticism, but was rather made with the intention to sort out common misconceptions, educate and help creators of fanwork understand Bi-Han and his personality better.
RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS BROTHERS:
Bi-Han doesn't hate Tomáš. There's so much fanart out there depicting him as a bully or bad brother when that's as far from canon as it could be. You can read the in-depth analysis on their dynamic in the post I've linked, but to sum it up, Bi-Han had the option to pick any other Lin Kuei member to accompany him and Kuai Liang to the teahouse or the Ying fortress, but each time he picked Smoke. He could have chosen Sektor or Cyrax, both of which are more experienced and completely loyal to him, and yet he still chose Tomáš instead. He also appears worried when Smoke nearly dies after Nitara's attack. Yes, he snapped at Tomáš once, but siblings fight and say things to each other that are often uncalled for. The relationship between them cannot be meassured by one line that was said out of anger or the intro dialogues that are set after their falling out. According to Smoke himself, Bi-Han was always cold towards him, but that only suggests they were never close, not that there was ever any hostility between them or that Bi-Han was ever harsh/cruel towards him in the past. Tomáš also tries to reunite the brothers and doesn't want Bi-Han to be his enemy, even if he's disappointed in Bi-Han's actions. He even admits he used to look up to him. Some artworks, however, aim to make it look like Bi-Han is oh so mean to poor, sad Tomas, when that's a blatant mischaraterization of both of them, simultanously babying Tomas, a grown man, and demonizing Bi-Han, a tragic and traumatized character.
Kuai Liang and Bi-Han used to be close. Kuai Liang knew about Bi-Han's frustrations, Bi-Han knows all of Kuai Liang's weaknesses, they trust each other enough to rely on each other in combat and both feel equally betrayed by the other because of the close brotherly bond they once shared and because of the trust that existed between them. Kuai Liang was Bi-Han's second in command, Bi-Han respected him. He's never once seen belittling or insulting Kuai Liang, not even after they're no longer on good terms with each other. By the time the story of MK1 starts, Bi-Han has already reached the peak of his frustration, which explains why he snaps at his brothers so often, especially when their father is brought up, but at no time was Bi-Han ever abusive towards Kuai Liang or Tomas. He seems to have put a lot of trust in both his brothers and in return, they trusted him too. If Bi-Han had ever been a violent person with little love and care for his family, Kuai Liang and Tomas wouldn't have been so shocked at the revelation that he let their father die.
There was always a side of Bi-Han that cared about his brothers and his choices indicate that he still does. Apart from the most obvious evidence for this, the scene where he checks on both of them to make sure they're unharmed, there are also other subtle clues that he cares about Kuai Liang and Tomas. In his chapter, Bi-Han is the one who fights off all threats (Nitara, Ermac...) while also giving the easier and less dangerous task of staying outside to Smoke, the least experienced one of the brothers, as he goes to capture Quan Chi himself with the help of Kuai Liang. While he says he wants Kuai Liang dead in some intros, his actions contradict his words. He had the chance to kill Kuai Liang at the Ying Fortress, but chose to spare him. SPOILERS: The leaks for the dlc claim that Bi-Han will be trying to capture his brothers alive. He seems to have no interest in actually harming either of them, just in making sure they can't get in the way of his plans.
PERSONALITY:
Oftentimes, fanfics portray Bi-Han as this hot-headed guy with anger issues who is only capable of one emotion and it's rage. But Bi-Han's anger is not his most defining trait. There are so many more layers to his personality. Just because the story mode only showed us situations in which his anger is triggered doesn't mean that's all there is to him. He's not the kind of person to go around yelling at everyone he sees and getting angry out of nowhere. I also don't see Bi-Han cursing/cussing or insulting others. As grandmaster, Bi-Han represents the Lin Kuei and he's expected to act a certain way. @inflamedrosenkranz wrote a genius analysis on how out of character it would be for Bi-Han to curse and I strongly recommend reading it in addition to this post.
Bi-Han is not a mysogynist. This is something I see all too frequently in reader insert fanfics where Bi-Han is written as someone who doesn't take his s/o seriously or looks down at them because they're a woman. Meanwhile, Bi-Han shows nothing but respect and admiration for strong women. He seems to have looked up to his mother much more than to his father and just listen to his intros with Sindel or Kitana. He admires Sindel for her leadership and even encourages Kitana to take Outworld's throne. He also wouldn't have taken in Frost as his apprentice and wouldn't have allowed Cyrax into the Lin Kuei if he thought women weren't fit to be Lin Kuei warriors.
I know this will disappoint a lot of headcanon writers, but Bi-Han would never degrade/insult or otherwise humiliate his partner, be it through words or actions, especially not during intimate moments shared between them. His significant other directly represents him and his clan. He would not tolerate any sort of disrespect towards them, let alone disrespect them himself. If his partner were to ask him to degrade them, that would be an instant dealbreaker for Bi-Han. He would expect any potential partner to show the self-respect and dignity befitting of their role as the grandmaster's significant other.
I often see drunk!Bi-Han headcanons, but honestly, it would be out of character for Bi-Han to drink alcohol. First of all, he absolutely wouldn't be able to see the appeal of it and secondly, he would hate the way it makes him feel. I imagine he likes being in control of his own body, he likes knowing that he can rely on his reflexes should he need them and alcohol would practically render them useless. As grandmaster of his clan he needs to be an example for all the other Lin Kuei. He would also not want to take the risk of overinduldging and embarrassing himself in a drunken stupor.
People like to write Bi-Han as a grumpy and overly serious guy who can't crack a joke to save himself, but they forget he makes ice puns. Ice puns. Bi-Han definitely has a sense of humor. I just don't think he gets to show anyone that side of himself often.
Bi-Han is a lot smarter than people give him credit for. Yes, siding with Shang Tsung was a bad choice, but it was one he made out of dispair and his frustration played into it as well, clouding his judgement. The way Bi-Han tries to assess his opponents' weaknesses shows his strategic mind. He let himself be fooled once, but he's also young and still has a lot to learn as grandmaster. It's not a sign of him lacking intelligence, like some people claim.
GOALS:
While he's ambitious and wants to acquire power to some extent, Bi-Han is not the power-hungry and selfish character he's often wrongly depicted as. His intentions lie far beyond that and are much more noble. Bi-Han craves independence and freedom for the Lin Kuei. He wants his clan to get the respect and recognition they rightfully deserve after protecting Earthrealm for so many generations. He doesn't want to conquer all of Earthrealm and he has no interest in ruling other realms either. What he wants is a small portion of Earthrealm because he's convinced that the Lin Kuei deserve it. He wants a reward for all their years of loyalty and duty, not to become a tyrant.
To conclude this, I appreciate writers and artists who do their research before writing/drawing a character and I hope this analysis can be helpful to those unsure of how to correctly write Bi-Han.
If I can think of more examples to add to the list, I will make a part 2 of this post.

arcee for the ask meme?
one aspect about them i love:
you know, idw arcee does not get enough credit for sometimes being funny as fuck and, in a broader sense, weirdly... maybe chill isn't the right word and yet. sort of! she's so completely unimpressed by all the clowns doing clown shit around her, even the ones she broadly likes and even usually respects to some degree; arcee has lived so much longer than 99.9% of the people she interacts with basically ever, and seen so much shit that makes it hard to see the current shitshow that is Cybertron trying to re-establish itself as some unprecedented disaster or whatever, that she's very. refreshingly blunt and inclined to even a certain level of irreverence at times that bounces off the people around her incredibly well as a character. optimus tries to angst about having seen soooo much terrible shit and arcee's like 'shut up whippersnapper lmaoooo' and it's great and very necessary. UNPHASED, that's the word i wanted rather than chill! she's delightfully unphased.
one aspect i wish more people understood about them:
basically anything about idw arcee that relates to her not being hyper-violent, lmao. i gotta be real. but specifically, that she's introspective! one of the most introspective characters in exRiD, i would say! arcee struggles to understand herself but not for lack of trying, and she's not a thoughtless 'haha violence and murder fun' machine, just incorrectly perceived as such by the people around her and struggling to work out how to establish herself as more than that after what she's been through. arcee has a lot of thoughts about her role on a post-war cybertron, on the autobots and her decision to join them, on the people around her and who she works with, on how they treat her. but too often she gets portrayed as 'just wants to know where the next fight is' for a joke, which completely flattens her into a caricature.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character:
arcee's voice is like. really loud. zero volume control. even when she whispers she sounds weirdly loud. everyone is too intimidated by her to tell her to keep it down and she wouldn't care even if they did so she just cheerfully goes on her way bursting into any room like HEY WHAT'S UP at full volume. god bless her.
one character i love seeing them interact with:
i actually really like her dynamic with optimus in exRiD and especially when you get to like, the OP ongoing and Unicron; she's simultaneously very much wanting to be on his side and work with him but also just not awed by him at all the way others- even those who really don't like Optimus- wind up being. his reputation is not impressive to her, neither in a positive or a negative sense, because again, arcee is old as balls and has seen much more of cybertronian history than everyone else around her, and understands him as a part of a cycle of history. she's seen the entire concept of a 'prime' be invented for political reasons and she's seen the original claims to that title fall; it's not that it means nothing to her, but it means something very different
and what i think i like best is that despite optimus screwing so much up during that part of the comics, in ways that specifically relate to buying into his own hype and misusing the power it affords him as a direct result, he clearly values keeping arcee around for this very reason. she punctures his ego with no fuss and is really the sole person not only willing but even capable of doing that. it creates a dynamic he has with her there's really not an equivalent to anywhere else. i really do love it. we need more of them being Weird Friends.
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more:
I WISH WE COULD HAVE SEEN HER AND ANODE ACTUALLY INTERACT...... i love that they canonically know each other and i think they'd be a hysterically funny duo because they're both complete wildcards but arcee is from a fucking grimdark sci-fi epic and anode is from a heist movie about being a lovable rogue. all i want is for them to be the weirdest double act ever. arcee would definitely help anode and lug do a bank robbery but she has to keep being told to put the swords away. and the big gun. and the small gun. and-
and then they all go down the pub and tell extremely weird stories about their extremely weird lives. good times.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character:
arcee and prowl definitely have some kind of final talk post-canon that is very tense and awkward, and which arcee initiates specifically because the idea of leaving anything unsaid there (and therefore giving prowl any remaining emotional power over her, however small) pisses her off. it leaves her unhappy but ultimately feeling like she cleared the air and prowl feeling weird and uncomfortable and like that was the opposite of closure, i think. and now arcee never has to think about him again.

You know, I heard the very weird take of "Chesed wouldn't kill people to defend others he deemed more important." Which is a wild opinion to have because he uh... he does that, in canon.
This is something I see happen a lot in fandom spaces weirdly enough. It's nothing new either; this idea of "[Character] wouldn't actually do [thing they do in canon] because they're not I don't see them as that kind of character!"
I think a lot of people need to understand when something is just being misinterpreted in your head a specific way. It's fine to have a different opinion than the canon, but it's a whole different thing to say "well actually my opinion is correct and the CANON is wrong." The canon is the base by which we create everything from. Your idea of Chesed may be a fine AU or headcanon or whatever, but it's not going to go above the canon for who and what Chesed is. The same goes in the opposite direction, I love all the very on point Coffee Shop AU Cheseds. It's funny because it works for a character who does seem to love his coffee. However reducing a complex character into "the coffee man" doesn't mean his actual canon character in the actual canon games, made by the actual company behind the games; is ALSO actually reduced to such.
I think the take that Chesed shouldn't be available for reception in LoR is kind of wild because he is. If he didn't want to be, he wouldn't be. I mean look at Binah she doesn't play a role in receptions, and when we see the exception for this it's fantastic because yea she totally WOULD decide "no no I'll do it this time" when it comes to the reception of a SPECIFIC guest. Which I can say with assurance because it's literally backed up by the fact that she does that in the game. It's one of the few receptions you're allowed to use Binah for.
More over we specifically get dialogue where Chesed remarks that he doesn't enjoy fighting but that he's able to protect people he cares about by doing it. While he doesn't condone the act of hurting people, he sees it as a necessary evil to protect people. So yes, Chesed would in fact punch a nazi. That's all but confirmed through his beliefs and actions that we see him take via the actual source materials. He's not some passive centralist who wouldn't take action. ESPECIALLY given his actual trauma that stems from Lobotomy Corporation. I mean come on guys did we play the same games?!
I'm not telling people they can't have fun with AUs and headcanons or whatever. I'm saying that it's weird to claim the canon is just wrong. It's the canon, it's the basis for everything; it's the "truth" in a sense. We don't get to say it wouldn't happen that way just because it goes against our belief of how we see a character. I can't claim that "Gebura wouldn't have lost that encounter, don't you know who she is?" Because the canon says she did, and more over that's an important part of her character growth. Likewise you can't tell me Chesed would just passively stand by and not fight while his friends are hurt or killed, simply because you see him as some kind of centralist pacifist. This man literally has an entire storyline about figuring out how to take action to do something because he's tired of seeing so much pain happen around him when he can't do anything about it. Yes we know Chesed has a genuine love for all people, yes we know he hates the idea of anyone having to die or be hurt, yes I understand he would in most cases be a pacifist. However we literally see him fight to protect people. He is not above violence to end violence.

I realized that the moment Elain took an interest to Azriel was when he saved her. I feel like it was platonic for her before. The „you came for me“ was like a realization to her and she started to picture Azriel as this knight. He‘s also the perfect person to distract herself with from the mating bond that she shares with a guy that looks fae in every shape and form, while Azriel has a more human look to him if you cross out the wings and the shadows (which vanish around her anyway). Azriel has displayed nothing negative in Elain‘s eyes so far, he‘s only been good. He‘s „perfect“ in her pov, little does she know…
Azriel took an interest to Elain when Lucien entered the chat. Before that it‘s clearly stated in canon that he didn’t even want to stay in the house of wind to look over Elain. He didn’t interact with Elain at all until Lucien arrived. When Lucien made the demand for her sisters to take her outside, Azriel took that opportunity.
Hi! First of all, sorry that I left this unanswered for days. I know I said I'd cook and I hope it will be a decent meal for you. Thank you for this ask. I agree 100% with the Elain part, the Azriel part... less so, because there is actually more to it than just Lucien's presence, and when Feyre goes back to the Night Court for good Rhys says that Azriel has just gotten back on his feet, but it does give me a chance to address my interpretation of why Azriel and Elain took an interest in each other —I've wanted it for a while— and why, unlike elriels claim, their relationship would be actually more unequal than if Azriel got into a relationship with Gwyn. This is going to be a long analysis, and I'm going to rant about some theories of mine that may sound far-fetched to some. More to the point, it's going to be a speedrun of Elain-Azriel interactions in WAR. Apologies if it will be boring lmao.
As you said, "it's clearly stated in canon that he didn't even want to stay in the house of wind to look over Elain." Indeed, in chapter 24 of WAR Az and Cas draw sticks to decide who gets to stay behind. I don't necessarily see this as a personal dislike of Elain's company (especially since they didn't even see her while they were there) but it's obvious that both of them wanted to be in Hewn City. Babysitting is boring. Azriel claps Cassian's shoulder in commiseration as if saying, better you than me. Let's look at another scene from that chapter, when Nesta and Elain move from the House of Wind into the town house, and the first time Azriel sees Elain since the ordeal in Hybern. What happens is this:
1 Azriel is the one carrying Elain. 2 She is silent and unresponsive. 3 He treats her gently and she responds long enough to agree going into the garden with him. 4 She calls either his hands or his syphons (or both) beautiful, which makes him blush.
We know that Azriel is particularly protective towards vulnerable women. In part because of his mother but also because he was the one who found Mor agonizing on the Autumn border. He most likely was the one who carried her to Velaris. Now I've said before that I believe the fact that Mor and Elain are similar in looks could be a minor reason why Azriel started to take interest in Elain. They're both fair-skinned, brown-eyed, light-haired (Elain's hair, though more brown than blond, is described with the word "gold" multiple times), and stunningly beautiful. I wonder whether Mor ever fell into depression after her torture, and if she did, whether Azriel ever witnessed any of it and remembered it when he saw Elain on the night of the moving. However this last sentence is firmly in the realm of "headcanons" rather than "theories" so don't mind it much.
Later when Feyre watches in the garden, one is drinking tea at the table and the other reading reports on a chaise. This scene is used by elriels as proof that they are comfortable with and understand each other without words, but really they're just sharing space without interacting. We don't know how they were feeling. There's no romantic or sexual tension there yet. But later still after the Hewn City scene Elain has a vision and Azriel starts to pay more attention to her, as he realises that her ramblings may not be nonsense.
After that is when dynamics start to change on Azriel's side. In chapter 30 there are no sticks, he volunteers to stay in the garden with Elain, and after the Twin Ravens' attack, Rhys says that he was in the town house with Elain. Is it because he's trying understand her powers? Or because he just wants to be closer to her? Both? Unclear. And then we come to the Seer revelation! So there is Elain, who resembles Mor a lot, and even shares some of her mannerisms when using her powers:
"Mor's gaze darted across my sister's face"
"Mor at last blinked, mouth parting. Like that magic of hers had at last solved some puzzle. Slowly, clearly, she nodded."
"Elain squinted, as if the question required some inner clarification, some... path into looking at whatever had addled and plagued her."
"Elain blinked and blinked, eyes clearing again."
"Elain cocked her head, as if listening to some inner voice."
"Elain shifted her face towards him. Another blink."
And there is Elain, whose unexplainable visions, as Feyre says, possibly reminded Azriel of his own. And there is Azriel, who for the first time since taking notice of Elain, sees her in the same room with her mate, Eris Vanserra's brother. Do I need to say more? Protectiveness levels probably ramped up to a thousand in that moment. But what one might not notice is that despite this little shifts in Azriel's behaviour, Elain doesn't seem to reciprocate the interest (unless you're wearing shipper goggles), and that's obviously because there's Graysen.
So Elain meets Graysen, and gets heartbroken. There is absolutely no way that you can read her in that scene and say that she wasn't in love with him, fucker that he is. So she is heartbroken when she gets to the Illyrian camp, she copes enough in the following chapters to be functional —which, you're stronger than me, baby— and then she gets Cauldron-napped. And the Cauldron uses her beloved's form and her love for him to abduct her. Harsh. So in Hybern's camp she lies shackled, probably unable to stop thinking about Graysen, probably believing like Nesta that there's no way they can get inside the camp to save her, and then there is Feyre, and Azriel, who is a warrior like Graysen, who was the one who found out what her powers were, Azriel who came for her. Yup, you are so right, anon.
Funny how elriels say that Gwyn has a crush on Azriel because he saved her but don't see how Elain's rescue is exactly the same situation in which such a thing can happen. Funny how Feyre describes Graysen as "a mortal ideal of a knight who would swoop a beautiful maiden onto his horse and ride into the sunset" and elriels don't see how Azriel being Elain's saviour would remind her of him. So Azriel (and Feyre) rescue Elain, who then kisses him on the cheek, and this is a glaring sign that she too is seeing him in a new light, the shift in her, because let's be fair, Elain wouldn't go around kissing males anywhere on an usual day.
And this brings us to the Truth Teller scene. I said before that imo this scene shows how Azriel is acknowledging with himself that he's attracted to Elain, and possibly, since Feysand is already a thing and it's clear to everyone that Nesta and Cassian could have something going on, starting to come up with "3 brothers and 3 sisters, cauldron wrong" theories of his own. (RIP MAH BOI) Again, this is only my headcanon, but what is not a headcanon nor a theory is that by giving Elain Truth Teller, Azriel is giving Elain special treatment. When she accepts the blade, "Elain looked up at Azriel, their eyes meeting, his hand still lingering on the hilt", and THERE, there after the rescue, is the first time that we see non-platonic MUTUAL tension. What elriels think started in MAF actually began mid-WAR, and was at best one-sided on Azriel's part until the rescue, and still new on Elain's, since she is still not over Graysen as she watched him leave the final post-battle meeting. I am so curious to know if she gave Truth Teller back before or after seeing him because, well... Sadly, FAS doesn't tell clearly.
So like... Yeah, absolutely. Imo it's obvious that Azriel and Elain's feelings are very conditional on their previous issues with their past love interests, and Azriel's overprotectiveness. For me it's also a big deal that unlike with Elain, Azriel didn't see Gwyn when she was at her most vulnerable and thus, while he still worries when the Valkyries are in danger, never acts like he has to shelter her from what could harm her. In fact, when Azriel remembers her worst moment on the bonus, he has to block the memory immediately because it is so far from the strong, resilient, charmingly irreverent Gwyn that he sees in training.
Because I like to stay objective, I'll say that all this doesn't necessarily mean that Elain and Azriel would forever see Graysen and Mor in each other, just like it doesn't mean that Gwyn's trauma could never affect a relationship with Azriel. They're characters in Sarah's hands. As a gwynriel, I understand that if Sarah wanted she could make elriel happen and make them resolve their issues with the rescue, and Mor, etc, and that if she made gwynriel happen she could make them face how Azriel being the one who saved Gwyn could potentially make their relationship unbalanced. In turn, elriels should understand that if Sarah wanted she could make gwynriel happen and give them a perfectly healthy relationship and sex life, and that if she made elriel happen she would have to address Azriel's feelings that he still has for Mor (and his self-esteem issues, but this post is already bottomless without mentioning them argh), and how Elain clearly developed a survivor crush on Azriel (and the whole person of Lucien ofc but this post etc...).
#I'll probably stop posting about acotar for a while anyway#since my mental health is really taking a bad turn#gwynriel#anti elriel#i don't know how to tag this

I feel like this fandom has this really weird thing with infantalizing Ororon. To a point where whenever people see ships with him .. it's somehow a proship. He's probably one of the few characters who has his age group flat out told to you, that he's in his twenties. How far along? Unknown. But he's a grown adult. He's also old enough to drink, according to his character stories, as Fatui soldiers check first before giving him Fire Water, which since he was allowed two cups of that .. obviously he's not like, fifteen. 😀
I see it especially in CapiRon fanart on Pinterest, also on Tiktok. Where everyone is freaking out or saying wild things about family and age as if the pairing isn't essentially Natlans own version of Zhongchi. You know. ..the ship with the immortal god and a twenty something year old! Which is almost literally what CapiRon is! The two characters never explicitly call each other family, so you can't really claim its canon (Ororon would call him gramps if that was the case - but he actually refers to him by title. Captain), and it's explicitly only mentioned as found family when Captiano is paired with Mavuika, so Ororon falls into a son role despite not looking at either person as family. There's nothing wrong with that headcanon! If that's your thing, that's your thing, but people are legitimately trying to convince me they're canonically found family. The only two people he sees as found family seems to be Citlali. Possibly the Traveler, but I'm not positive on that (as those are the only two characters he gives family titles to, as far as I'm aware. It's Granny Citlali, and Granny Lumine / Gramps Aether).
I feel like this stems from people seeing his personality and somehow equating it with him being childish when he's not. He's not childish. His entire storyline is about his fear of being nothing, of having nothing, about how he's afraid he has no real purpose going forward. He's not suddenly an infant because he's a little socially odd, or because he talks to plants. He's socially odd because that's just how he grew up. He grew up understanding his feelings in specific ways. He grew up understanding life in specific ways.
Ororon isn't a child. He is a grown man with his own thoughts and problems, even if he doesn't communicate them in a way that makes sense to other people. That doesn't make him less of an adult. An Immortal/Mortal pairing isn't illegal as long as both characters are actually both physically and mentally grown adults, it goes into really questionable territory when the immortal was heavily involved in the mortals childhood in my opinion though (cough cough that Oceanid during the Poetry event). Which. Doesn't happen with CapiRon.
#genshin impact#🥬 : °• ororon •°#💭 : °• character discussion / thoughts •°#💢 : °• ranting •°#ororon genshin#Genuinely the infantalizing of Ororon is just.. so weird to me?#If its not people trying to push a headcanon on you. its someone trying their damnest to convince me Ororon is actually 16.#He's not.#That's a grown ass man.#I literally cannot even talk about ships with him without someone trying to make it weird on me its actually so ridiculous-#CapiRon and IfaRon are completely legal guys! There's no found family trope with either one.#💕 : °• shipping •°#and yes I have seen people do it to IfaRon too. despite it im pretty sure being implied they're both about the same age.#It's an Ororon specific issue-#🎮 : °• genshin impact •°

Do you have any backstory headcanons for the other canon Apollo kids?
Not to the extent I did for Michael, but most of them I have at least something, yes!
Going in age order...
Will [disclaimer here that I do not consider TSATS canon; most of this contradicts the weird stuff TSATS tried to claim which didn't actually make any sense...] We know Apollo met Will's mother, Naomi Solace, in Austin, and I do headcanon that Will grew up there. Like most demigods, school wasn't fun for him, although Will was never actually in enough trouble that he got expelled - he was too much of a generally sweet kid for that, who got on well with the other kids in school. His home life was... fine. Naomi loves Will a lot, but trying to make ends meet with her music career whilst raising a son as a single mother was a lot (especially a son with ADHD and dyslexia) and Will often ended up not quite being given all the attention he needed at home.
However, we also know from canon that Will is an unusually powerful son of Apollo, so the monsters picked up on his scent much earlier than they usually do. His first attack was an entire hoard of snakes when he was seven, and with no-one else around close enough to intervene in time, Apollo snatched him away from the attack in person, before telling Naomi that it was probably time for Will to go to camp. She didn't protest, guiltily relieved that looking after Will wouldn't be on her shoulders anymore and that she could fully follow her music career again, and Will ended up at camp aged seven.
He remains a year-rounder because Naomi's career keeps her too busy to give him the attention and stability he should have, although they remain in frequent contact and Will has been known to leave camp for a weekend or even a week, occasionally, to stay with her while she's free between career commitments.
Austin Austin's mother, Latricia Lake, is a music theory lecturer (canon) who met Apollo while she was lecturing at Oberlin College (canon). I have her as being a guest lecturer, who moves around various colleges and universities on demand, which leaves her lifestyle rather an unstable one for raising a child. So instead of lugging around baby!Austin everywhere with her, Austin was mostly raised by his maternal grandparents (location not entirely certain but I'm kinda leaning towards Louisiana, maybe?) to give him a stable place to call home. He ended up at camp the same way most Apollo kids do - the snakes came crawling along and a satyr identified him as a demigod and brought him to camp. Austin got rather a nasty bite (or few) from the snakes on the way, which almost killed him, so his phobia of snakes is worse than most Apollo kids'. He arrived at camp in the period between BOTL and TLO, so he never knew Lee and was still a fresh camper for the Manhattan battle. He now stays at camp year-round because his grandparents are getting a little too old to really raise a hyperactive teenage boy, and Austin doesn't want to bring the added danger of monster attacks to them.
Kayla Kayla, as we know, has two fathers. She's one of the less common children of a male god who was birthed by their godly parent, but Apollo and Darren Knowles had several long conversations about it before she was conceived, because Apollo doesn't do the "drop random unexpected kids on partners" thing. Darren did really want a kid, though, and Apollo was more than happy to oblige. She calls Darren 'Da', while Apollo is 'Dad', and always knew that she had two fathers, and that her other father was an amazing archer. Darren kept her with him most of the time - Kayla's been around archery her entire life, has been shooting bows ever since she was big enough, and is well-known amongst the Olympic candidates in Canada, who are all eagerly awaiting her sixteenth birthday, when she can join their ranks - although they're a bit worried that now she's away at 'boarding school' in America, she's not getting as much training time (if only they knew!) She stays at camp all year because Darren's coaching career does take him across the country, and in some cases the world, to various tournaments, and it's safer and more stable for Kayla to live in one place. (Darren also tries not to let it reach her too much, but not everyone is particularly accepting of a girl with two fathers; she's also away from the bigotry in camp.) She will visit him as often as she can get away with, though!
Yan Yan is canonically from Hong Kong. As they're never given a gender in the books, to me they are nonbinary. They also don't have a canon surname, so I use 'Cheung', which has the same roots as Zhang and means archer! When they were twelve, their mother made the decision to evacuate them from Hong Kong due to the political unrest, and they went to live with a host family in England, enrolling in a local school. This was fine for a year, but then they found themselves being attacked by monsters and were forced to be displaced again, this time to Camp Half-Blood. Their host family knew nothing about them being a demigod - most of it was arranged by proxy of the mother of a kid the year below them in their London school. They later discovered that said kid was also their younger half-brother!
Jerry Jerry is a London kid (canon!). As 'Jerry' is usually a nickname, and considering the fact that he's British, I have his full name as being Jeremy (not that he ever goes by it) and gave him the surname Allen (meaning 'harmony'). Jerry's mum is a massive stress baker by the name of Gwen Allen. Her actual job is that she's a nurse - which is a stressful job, so Jerry was never short on homemade goodies as a kid! Jerry is a huge cricket fan, and grew up near Lords Cricket ground; his dream is to play for England one day. When he was twelve, he and an older kid at school were attacked by a monster and saved by the school's janitor, who was revealed to be a satyr. Jerry did not take well to the idea that he had to move to America for several years (not least because it meant he had to stop playing for the local kids' cricket teams, but also because it meant leaving his mum behind), but Gwen arranged everything with Chiron - and for Yan, too - and saw them off from Heathrow Airport. The pair of them were escorted by an adult demigod onto American soil, but unfortunately the last leg of their trip was rather eventful, culminating in the satyr guide that had picked them up at the airport being killed protecting them, and leaving both Jerry and Yan rather traumatised when they finally reached camp. The pair of them are thick as thieves.
Gracie I don't have much for Gracie yet - we know she's from Idaho, and at this point that's really all I've got, except the headcanon that she's a drum kid. Give her something to bash rhythmically and she's delighted! I'll work something out for her eventually, though! As for her name, like the rest of the TON trio we're not given one, so I gave her the surname 'Crowe' as an acknowledgement of corvids being sacred to Apollo.

lucio headcanons because i can't help myself. just a warning that these are rather canon divergent, so keep that in mind while reading! anyway, with no further ado-
my objectively correct lucio 'headcanons' (i am normal)
- he has chronic nerve pain from the constant pain + stress his body was under while he had the plague - even after he comes back. he walks with a cane most days, and claims it's for 'fashion' (it very clearly isn't)
- the whole "missing an entire arm" business is a MUCH bigger deal than the way the game shows it- it's a genuine disability, not just a fun character trait. i'm begging you all to consider lucio needing (and wanting) to spend time with his prosthetic off. lucio phantom limb syndrome and phantom pains. lucio struggling to do things that require both hands on occasion and having to relearn everything after getting his prosthetic. lucio being too rough/too strong/etc with his left arm because he can't feel what he's doing. as much as he loves the gold he can't help but feel terribly insecure and incapable because of it sometimes.
- lucio is not even a tenth as stupid as the writers make him out to be for funny haha villain points. he's actually incredibly intelligent and a big fan of studying + reading "just because." he's very literate and articulate, just overexcitable (and maybe slightly over-emotional) and doesn't always express his intelligence in the best way (or stop and think before doing things). he's also fairly talented, and rather proficient in writing and playing piano - the grand piano in the foyer belongs to both him and nadia!!
- same thing goes for what an incompetent leader he's portrayed to be in the game... it's absolutely nonsensical that he alone was in charge of vesuvia for multiple years and that entire time knew nothing and learned nothing about being an effective ruler. perhaps he's not the most responsible leader at all moments and maaaybe he can be a bit. harsh. but i can't see military-tactical, hand-selected-to-rule-vesuvia-lucio being an INCOMPETENT leader.
- also, the previous count, count spada, took lucio in and taught him everything he knew - the game hardly touches on this and it's an absolute crime because i think the two of them had such a close (dare i say father-son) relationship and spada effectively took lucio under his wing and gave him the necessary training to be an effective leader before naming him his heir. the two of them were very... my parents hate me and i don't know what parental love feels like x i never married or had children and i regret it immensely, yknow ?
- his relationship with morga is much more strained than what's portrayed in canon - both her and his father were rather abusive throughout his childhood and he hides in the palace every time she visits vesuvia and makes nadia deal with her for him (i use 'makes' loosely - nadia would do it even if lucio didn't ask. she's not very fond of morga either and is sympathetic to lucio's fear of her).
- speaking of nadia, the two of them really don't hate eachother all that much. their relationship is much more complicated than what's shown in the game (everyone's is, really, it's all a lot more blurry and queerplatonic than what was written to make it work as a romance game) and while they most definitely butt heads quite often, she by no means hates him and they do, actually, get along a fair amount of the time. they have quite a bit in common and work well together. most of the time.
- contrary to popular belief, mercedes and melchior are not unruly and untrained- they're both trained impeccably, just in lucio's native language, making him the only person capable of controlling them. however when it is him in charge, the three of them are a force to be reckoned with (especially when out hunting) and mercedes and melchior move flawlessly alongside him, nearly predicting what he wants without him even having to speak it aloud. they're impeccably behaved- just for him and him alone.
- on the topic of languages- lucio was raised speaking something different than what is spoken throughout the game. there is no direct real-world equivalent but it's... scandinavian in nature. he has the faintest hint of an accent (and no, it isn't a jersey accent) but he's been speaking other languages for so long it's not quite as noticeable as it was during his mercenary days - although it is quite a bit more noticeable when he's drunk, and he's very prone to cursing in his native language.
#the arcana#the arcana game#count lucio#the arcana lucio#these are all objectively correct because i said so#nobody understands lucio the way i do.

As a GojoHime shipper, what do you think of SatoSugu?
⚠️🚫 SS shippers DNI 🚫⚠️
Oof... Well, first things first, everyone has different preferences & BL is not my cup of tea. Fujos are also a toxic breed so I have no interest in engaging with them either.
In regards to zigzag (a lovely nickname given to this ship by many 🤪)... I find Get0 unappealing in general & am mostly neutral to his character. I don't get why he's so popular, lol? I personally find it almost offensive that ppl ship him with someone as handsome as Gojo. 💀
They are canonically best friends & nothing more (reiterated time & again by Gege & his affiliates). Their views didn't align in the end, hence they parted ways & became enemies. Despite this, Gojo still saw him as his best friend, a huge part of his "springtime of youth," & regretted not being able to help him back then. Get0 was also the cause for Gojo's identity crisis about being the strongest & was jealous of Gojo's strength, but certain ppl conveniently forget that 😒.
Zigzag would've been just another ship I don't pay attention to. Thank their insane fandom, especially the Get0 stans, for being the major cause of my intense dislike for this ship, however. Their toxicity towards other shippers (esp my fandom), misinformation, & misinterpretations of Gojo's & Get0's characters have solidified this ship as a MAJOR NOTP for me. I can't stand it with every fiber of my being. 😬
This meme encompasses that:

They act like they're canon when they're not. There's literally NO canon evidence to support their ship. Everything they claim as evidence has been debunked & has a shounen-esque explanation for it. They choose to ignore it, however, & it doesn't help that big accounts on Twitter, Tik Tok & other platforms use zigzag for clout & spread lies 🙄. All they really have are the three M's: mistranslations, misinformation, & misinterpretations 💀.
They can ship in their own lane but these freaks go out of their way to harrass others, even fanartists of other Gojo ships & neutral translators. Then they go & victimize themselves when they get called out 🙄. They like to act innocent & blame others but everyone knows it's always them who start things. It's no wonder they've made enemies of every corner of the JJK fandom. They may have the numbers but they're surely in the same boat as the rest of us shippers 🤷♀️. We're all in Delulu Land.
They hate Utahime for no reason other than that she's shipped with Gojo. You might not believe the insane things I've seen them say about her. Despite her being a minor side character, & her only screentime has been to help others, esp Gojo, they hate on her as if she was the main villain. Heck, not even Sukuna gets this much hate from them 💀. They spite-ship her with her bestie Shoko or even that bum Kusakabe just to "get her out of the way" of their mid ship but they don't actually care for either ship. They even drag Gojo thru the mud when hating on GojoHime, mischaracterizing him by saying things like he hates women 💀. They hate on GojoHime as if it was the worst ship anyone could have in JJK.
They cannot stand how popular GojoHime is, especially in Japan (according to Pixiv, they're the most popular M/F ship & #6 overall in JJK 👀).
They also have the audacity to claim they care more about Utahime than us GojoHime fans do. They say we mischaracterize her & how dare we ship her with a man she hates? Like?? Where is their Utahime content, like fanart, headcanons & theories? When do they ever talk about her unless it's to hate on her & try to discredit our ship? I've heard they even villainize her in their zigzag fics, make her OOC 💀. But they understand her better? 🙄
It really comes to show that they genuinely see Utahime as a threat 🤣. But why, tho, if they claim that GojoHime has nothing to stand on? That it doesn't make sense? 👀 Why are they so insecure if they're "so canon"?
They also feminize Get0 & have made some very disturbing posts, yet they hate on female characters? Those that "get in the way" of their non-canon mlm ships? Even Gojo self-shippers hate on Utahime but are okay with Get0? 🙄 I know this word gets thrown around a lot but these ppl are misogynists...
Zigzags should go read actual BL instead of self-queerbaiting with a battle shounen manga 💀. They're as delusional as Naruto & Sasuke shippers (and those 2 had at least a better written dynamic than Gojo & Get0 💀. Even Gojo & Sukuna had a more interesting dynamic than them imo 🤣).
It annoys me when even some GojoHime shippers include past/implied zigzag in their fics, & worse without tagging. I ignore the properly tagged ones & immediately drop the ones that aren't. I'm always on alert when I click on a fic & won't relax until I know it doesn't have any zigzag. 😕 It shouldn't be like this...
I'm also like?? You're ok with having Utahime be second choice in a GojoHime fic to a non-canon mlm ship?? I get it's the multishippers but still. 😒 Please tag them so I can stay far away from them 🙏.
Sorry for going on a full rant, haha. I really cannot stand that ship nor its shippers. This post is not about the sane shippers, btw, only the crazy ones. 😅
Anyway, Gojo likes older women & that's FACT. 😌

Wow, Zutara shippers on Tik-Tok are actually claiming that Zuko "obviously" became infatuated with Katara after the Southern Raiders episode when she forgave him, and that the only reason Zuko didn't pursue Katara romantically is because he didn't want to hurt Aang by violating the "bro-code". *facepalm* You can't make this stuff up.
I mean, I don't agree at all, but after all the unhinged, misogynistic, racist and/or completely out of character "takes" I've seen people come up with because of that ship, this seems to me like just regular "Shipper brain gonna do what shipper brain does."
If they're saying it's CANON instead of headcanon/just a vibe they got, yeah, they're kidding themselves, but it's such a chill thing to argue, especially coming from fucking TikTok of all things, that I'd most roll my eyes at it and move on agreeing to disagree.
After all the genuinely awful behavior I've seen Zutara shippers engage in, I don't feel like yelling at people for something so small.

It's kinda funny to me that some of the fans preemptively bitching about Louis being "reduced to Lestat's love interest" in s3 are the same ones who were gushing about nothing but Loumand Loumand Loumand back in the day, often entirely at Louis's expense. They claim to be Louis fans worried about a Black character's potential sidelining (an understandable concern in theory) but I've been here since 2022 and most of them are Armand stans first and foremost who insist he was "done dirty" in s2, but have little to say about Louis himself now they can't use him as a self-insert or a prop in their "sweet tender Loumand" fantasies. Btw, I'm talking about the folks who imprinted on their own fanfic version of Armand/Loumand, not actual fans of the canon character/ship. And this isn't aimed at anyone who's legit concerned about Louis's future on the show, either. The fretting feels premature, but I get it. But some of the loudest complainers and doom-mongerers are using these "concerns" as a cover for what they're really bitter about - shipping. So much of it comes down to shipping, and people's infantile headcanons not being catered to, and no amount of moral grandstanding can hide that.
Sorry about this rant, if you don't want to publish I understand. But I've seen some annoying-ass posts lately and this feels like a safe space to express this!
No, it's okay.
It's always been about the shipping.
People got so mad at me when I pointed that out in that rant post back then, but it always is and always was about the shipping.
Which, given that all of theses pairings are real relationships in the books is just so... *bangs forehead on table*
Anyways. Yeah.
I mean, I said my piece about Louis and being sidelined, a while ago.
I get that fear, truly.
But this show has been built on Loustat, that's been said.
It's just not the show that some made up in their heads after s1, and especially after they used "tender" all the time, without connecting it to "tinder" as the show did -.-
I mean, the fact that AMC didn't even ship bait during promotion could have been a hint, as pointed out before, but... well. Here we are.

Hello tumblr, i give you this Stranger Things x Percy Jackson Au because i love both and with the show coming out i had to finally draw it

After the thingy there will be my headcanons/how i imagine the Au plus some closeups ^^
So i separrated the seasons as years, yes i did it so every season gets its own bead (also will make it easier to navigate the timeline lol) For now just byler in this au, but if y'all like it i'll talk more about it, so, ekhem:
• In this Au both Wheelers and Byers still live in Hawkins, i wanted to highlight that these two have been friends longer than others and overall just spent more time together (Yes, this will make the California move way more painfull than if they had never lived close, yes i do love my angst)
• Both Will and Jonathan are sons of Poseidon (it just makes sense to me idk why, i will not elaborate further rn)
•Mike and Nancy are actually children of Nike (You can't look me straight in the eyes and tell me that Karen had never been with a woman) but because its the 80s and PJO plot is like semi canon in this Au, the minor gods still weren't claiming their children, and both of them will stay unclaimed until i feel like writing an arc. But it will 100% give them a feeling like they're lesser than others and the need to prove themselves. Which i feel like is pretty close to the way they act in the canon
•In the Au The Upside Down is just Tartarus, so yeah, basically hell
•The story itself is similiar (almost the same) as the show just happening in the PJO universe
•Since Mike is unclaimed and has to sleep in the Hermes Cabin (for context Steve, Carol and Tommy are all kids of Hermes, so its kind of a nightmare to stay there, especially in the first few years) he often sneaks into the Poseidon Cabin and has sleepovers with Will
• '83 is actually their second or third (i didn't think this through yet ) year at camp, cause thats when they meet El, and the Party knows each other for some time now
•Hopper is a horse ( a centaur technically but it sounds funnier), this has nothing to do with Byler but i just find that really funny
After all that reading have some nice closeups as a reward
Also prepare yourselves for absolutely horrendous low quallity horses
