Castlevania Meets Bloodborne In The Last Faith | New Gameplay Today
The Last Faith is a new gothic action game that blends Castlevania’s exploration and platforming with Soulslike challenge and progression to create a promising blend. Players control Eryk, an amnesiac warrior afflicted with a mysterious ailment corrupting his body and mind. His quest becomes a race for time as he searches for a cure, pitting him against an unholy suite of monsters looking to cut him down.
Join Marcus Stewart and Kyle Hilliard as they explore an early slice of the game, take on the first boss, and show off some of the deadly weapons at Eryk’s disposal.

Watched the demo of The Last Faith and I already love Eryk because he tries to sound all raspy and cool during dialogue, but during gameplay he makes the most babygirl-sounding gasps. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The Last Faith delayed to November, PC beta test now available
Gematsu Source
Publisher Playstack and developer Kumi Souls Games have delayed dark gothic Metroidvania game The Last Faith from its previously announced October release window to November, as well as launched the PC beta test via Steam. The full game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
Here is an overview of the game, via Playstack:
Often brutal, but always empowering, The Last Faith thrives on merciless and precise combat, with a huge range of custom executions to perform. Players will unearth a formidable variety of melee weapons, arcane spells, and long-range firearms, allowing them to carve a path in their own style. Explore rich, gothic environments in order to piece together the fractured history of Mythringal, and survive intense encounters against swathes of blood-thirsty enemies who will stop at nothing to put an end to Eryk. Use your extensive arsenal of weapons to bring your foes to their knees with surgical precision, and invoke the mysterious power of the Nycrux in order to level up your attributes and stay one step ahead. Weave between bullets, lightning and viscera as you lead a macabre dance with all manner of brutal bosses – intense battles that will test even the most seasoned Souls-like players. Converse with the mysterious denizens of Mythringal and, perhaps, even befriend some lost souls who will aid you on your journey. Go beyond the bounds of the city walls and traverse a plethora of hand-drawn locations ranging from dark, gnarled forests to frigid mountain peaks. Unlock new abilities that recontextualise previously explored areas and gradually expand your understanding of the world via a huge interconnected map. You are Eryk, and this is your battle.

2, 4 and 14!
ty!!!!!
2. what was the best thing in your character’s life?
valko: honestly....ovak, faylen, and eryk. were it not for them he would probably be perma-dead by now (most likely by his own hand). they were the ones who pulled him out of his self destructive spiraling and started him along the path to recovery. he fought them tooth and nail but knowing them has made him a better person and he’s grateful for them
brynja: her god, thor. she hadn’t really felt a connection to any of the deities she was expected to dedicate herself to but after he practically chose her and she started serving him (and especially after he granted her the gift of clairvoyance), she found a sense of purpose and duty she didn’t have before.
4. what seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
valko: being a kid and just wandering around the wheat fields in northern verina with the family cow.. seemingly insignificant but that memory is probably one of the last times he experienced true happiness
brynja: oh man...she has many memories of butting heads with her father over various matters. one of the biggest ones would probably be him trying to reign in her anger and getting her to follow in his footsteps as a follower of frey, but brynja was having none of that
14. how does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?
god i wish i could remember what exactly althaea (an npc) said a couple sessions ago because she like....directly addressed this. she was talking to faylen and valko was asleep during the exchange so he didn’t hear it but like....it was v good...iirc it was something along the lines of how he acts like he doesn’t care what people think of him even though he desperately wants to be wanted
brynja: tbh i think brynja is pretty true to herself. she tries to project an air of confidence and bravery which i think she genuinely feels (and is in accordance with her faith in her god). altho i suppose from an outside perspective, she’s loud, bullheaded, and stubborn....which is fair because she is all those things, especially when one doesn’t have the context of her faith. tho right now she’s taking on a softer, gentler tone due to some....events that have transpired and has pretty much gone team mom and is trying to keep everyone together while doing her best to appear strong for everyone’s sake.

Get the latest details below.
Often brutal, but always empowering, The Last Faith thrives on merciless and precise combat, with a huge range of custom executions to perform. Players will unearth a formidable variety of melee weapons, arcane spells, and long-range firearms, allowing them to carve a path in their own style.
