The CDC is trying to limit the new COVID booster to only people 75+, pregnant people, and the immunocompromised.
We have two days (as of September 6th, 2023) to let them know this isn't acceptable.
(since there is some lack of visual comprehension in the comments, each picture has the link to the tweet just under the picture)
Under this first tweet is the link directly to the article Laurie put in her tweet and is quoting.
Direct link to the page to submit your comments: click here!
Please, PLEASE fill this out and boost this post!
For those of you getting mad at me in the comments and reblogs: saying vaccination is only recommended for groups IS a way to try to prevent people from getting vaccinated because EVERYONE NEEDS THE VACCINE! Everyone needs to know they should get the vaccine!
It's not that hard to figure that out.
Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding did the original reporting on this. I put a link to his thread in one of the reblogs, and I'm not going to be your Google beyond saying that. Go to his Twitter. Go check out Friesein's tweet thread.

Nov 02, 2024
The government that rules Germany is colloquially called the âtraffic light.â This is because it is a coalition of three parties that are represented by the colours red, yellow and green.
Red is for the Social Democrats, or the SPD â the party of the welfare state and once upon a time of the working man. With the realignment of the left in our brave new era of open-borders internationalism, the SPD has been reduced to a directionless and decaying husk of its former self. As they circle the drain, the Social Democrats have accumulated a great gaggle of strange and disturbing personalities, like our eccentrically-toothed Health Minister Karl Lauterbach and our Marshmallow Interior Minister Nancy Faeser. When they are not retweeting Eric Feigl-Ding and hyperventilating about the ExTReME RigHT, SPD politicians are hard at work spending as much money as they possibly can on entitlements, even as their working-class voters abandon them in droves.Karl Lauterbach (SPD): a living metaphor for the health and vitality of his party.
Green is naturally for the Greens. The Greens are not a decaying corpse party like the SPD; instead, they represent the worldview of German elites. This is another way of saying that they are totally crazy. They hate nuclear power more than any other thing in existence, and as a close second they also hate carbon dioxide and those activities that emit carbon dioxide, such as industrial production and most economic activity. They are above all an urbanite party interested in performative self-abnegation, especially if mandating this abnegation also hurts their political enemies in the great unwashed middle of society. As an added crazy bonus, the Greens are rabid Atlanticists, particularly when this Atlanticism is contrary to the interests of ordinary Germans. Only about 8â10% of the population are hardcore Greens, but these are overwhelmingly influential people with well-endowed bank accounts. A lot of wealth must yet be destroyed before their convictions will bring them any personal pain.
This leaves the depressing yellow in the middle of the traffic light, which represents the Free Democrats, or the FDP. The FDP is a party of the centre-right that once advocated for free markets, privatisation and lower taxes. Now they no longer appear to stand for anything at all. Thus the FDP had no problem joining their ostensible red and green ideological opponents to round out the traffic light coalition in 2021, and theyâve spent the three years since happily waving through every last insane traffic light idea. They presided over the latter stages of Covid madness and even collaborated with Karl Lauterbach to extend mask mandates, they voted through the ruinous Green home heating ordinances, they stood by during the nuclear phase-out, they rubber-stamped the ludicrous Self-Determination Act so that transsexuals can change their official gender once every year âŠ

as an actual immunocompromised person, I think the type of extreme alarmism that account promotes is harmful but I'm scared of saying it on my main and getting told I'm ableist against myself in response, lmao. good to see someone calling it out.
oh, thanks. it's the same stuff we went through with eric feigl-ding. admittedly, i kept up with him for several months and i don't regret it. both of them do often post links to emerging research, so they're a good-enough source for that. in the same way, wikipedia usually contains more good information than not, provided you don't take everything they say as doctrine and look into it at least a little deeper. largely i think this is because they are both one person with no editor, and i can forgive honest mistakes, poor phrasing, or a little too much sensationalization
i don't think it's particularly surprising or even that big of a deal (compared to very obvious much bigger deals in covid misinformation, like the disinformation twelve), it's just a topic that needs periodic reminders

Thoughts on the missing OceanGate Titan submersible
So much "eat the rich" energy surrounding the social media comments around this story...
Meanwhile explorer Paul Henry Nargeolet is not a billionaire.
âââ
IwriteOK on Twitter:
folks complaining that the government or whoever isn't doing enough to rescue the deathsub may not realize that rescuing human beings submerged anywhere near the depth this thing was supposed to be at would be harder than putting a man on the moon
Not quite harder than putting a man on the moon, but hard enough still.
...as in: Each single trip to the moon requires months â if not a whole year or more â of preparation. This rescue needs to be done within the next like 48 hour or so, or not at all.
âââ
And how goes the Ukrainian counter-offensive? How goes the Myanmar coup-detat? How goes the Iranian women's-rights rebellion?
All things that continue to cost very real human lives.

Hope this one Tumblr post will be enough to sate my hunger to commentate. And then I can let go of commenting on this issue anymore going forward.

German Media Realise Their Health Minister is an International Laughingstock
By Eugyppius
I know that some of you are impatient with my posts about German politics, and particularly my repeated pieces on our retarded Health Minister. I get that this can seem like inside baseball, and that all of you suffer under the very similar idiocies of your own Covid politicians. But, I just canât help myself. Lauterbach is a special case, a truly monumental idiot who in his boundless incompetence and stupidity vastly exceeds his peers. It is my aim to make him the international symbol of pandemic derangement. I want pictures of this human incarnation of everything that is wrong with masking children and force-vaccinating millions printed next to future dictionary entries on Covidianism. We have seen the enemy, and it is this sad, stupid, Smeagol-looking loser, who thinks Eric Feigl-Ding is an authority and that clip-on bowties are fashionable.
You must understand that Lauterbach is not only the dumbest federal politician Germany has ever had. He also ranks among the least competent, most bafflingly idiotic people ever to have attained prominence of any kind. He is a drunken tweeter who as Cabinet Minister once declared war on Russia. He is a dim salt-phobic eccentric whose own ex-wife declared him unfit for the responsibilities of a Cabinet position. He is a tireless advocate of mask mandates who in May 2021 was photographed totally maskless on a train to Hamburg.
He has written one of the saddest, most derivative and pointless Ph.D. dissertations I have ever read. He poses as an epidemiologist while routinely misinterpreting even the simplest scientific studies. His most memorable science fail was a tweet citing a ânew American Mega [sic!] Studyâ showing that mask efficacy is âvery great and uncontestedâ. His link led to a bizarre pre-print that was so bad, some concluded it had to be a hoax. When a serology study emerged showing that 95% of Germans had Covid antibodies, he denied the results meant the pandemic was over, inadvertently questioning the entire premise of mass vaccination. He spent much of early 2022 demanding that ever more people get fourth doses and even said he himself was quadruple vaccinated. Three months later he announced he had tested positive for Covid, declared his symptoms to be substantial, and then violated Berlin quarantine rules to attend a press conference, where he was stupid enough to flash his digital vaccine pass to the cameras. The QR code revealed that he had only ever received three jabs. His Ministry insisted heâd merely failed to register his second booster with the CoronaWarn app, but the next year he doubled down on his stupidity, allowing the press to photograph his physical vaccine records, showing only three doses were registered there as well.
At one point he proposed to exempt the recently vaccinated from indoor mask rules, saying that he hoped this would encourage further vaccine uptake. After polls showed that disturbingly large numbers of Germans were willing to accept quarterly vaccination for the privilege of mask exemptions, he said heâd withdraw the incentive if too many people took advantage of it. This summer, with the political relevance of Covid fading, he opened a new front against summer weather, announcing an initiative to call old people and remind them to drink water whenever temperatures get too high.
There has been such an unrelenting tidal wave of Lauterbachian moronicity that it has proven impossible to keep track of it all. He is an endless source of comedic content, a political lolcow who stumbles from embarrassing gaffe to embarrassing gaffe without ever seeming to notice. Last year, he appeared on national television and ranted bizarrely about the Stanford epidemiologist John Ioannidis and the Great Barrington Declaration. He seemed to be drunk, or perhaps under the influence of some medication, as he mashed his words about âcertain scientists who are shared exponentially on social mediaâ:
So there is exponential growth in viruses, and there is also an exponential growth in false information. You only need a few scientists for this⊠In the case of Corona, for example, there was a scientists who used to do very good work but has now drifted off course. A Stanford scientist, Ioannidis, made a declaration, the Great Barrington Declaration, which basically said that the virus is not that dangerous, that itâs not killing people, that flu can be more dangerous and so on, a lot of things that just arenât right. And this has been quoted incredibly often by these people, who are out there, and there are just far too many of them, who would like to hear the relieving message, âitâs not really that bad, we donât have to do anythingâ.
The rant escaped notice at the time, but was recently unearthed by my Twitter friend @tomdabassman, who uploaded the clip with English subtitles. He tagged Stanford medical professor and Great Barrington Declaration co-author Jay Bhattacharya, who could hardly believe his eyes. Almost everything in Lauterbachâs rant was wrong, and he said so in a tweet that has now been viewed almost a million times:
Now, for better or worse, Germany looks up to America and prizes American academic culture. When a Stanford professor criticises the German Health Minister, the German press take notice.
First was a modest article in the Berlinzer Zeitung â âHarsh criticism from abroad: âLauterbach seems not have any inklingââ
Stanford Professor Jay Bhattacharya doesnât see [Lauterbachâs statements] as a laughing matter. He wrote on Monday that heâs sorry the Germans had such an unqualified health minister during the Covid pandemic.
He countered Lauterbachâs statements with four points: firstly, Professor John Ioannidis is far from being an outmoded scholar and is one of the most frequently published and cited scientists on the subject of Covid. Secondly, he neither wrote nor signed the Great Barrington Declaration. Thirdly, even this declaration did not declare the virus to be harmless âŠ. Fourthly, Bhattacharya says that âLauterbach seems to have no idea of the damage his lockdown policy has done to the poor, children and the working class. Germany has worse Covid results than neighboring Swedenâ.
The original tweet with the Lauterbach video has already been viewed 500,000 times; the tweeting Health Minister has not yet responded publicly to the Stanford professorâs message.
Then came Bild, the largest-circulation newspaper in Germany, with the headline âStanford Professor has harsh criticism for Lauterbachâ:
In his Covid policy, Karl Lauterbach repeatedly talks about science, arguing with studies and articles. But, of all people, a renowned Covid scientist is now sharply criticising the German Health Minister!
Stanford Professor Jayanta Bhattacharya (50), an expert in health economics, has accused Lauterbach on X of being âincredibly misinformed about Covid scienceâ.
The reason for the outrage: an RBB interview with Lauterbach from March 12th 2022.
In an interview excerpt shared by Bhattacharya, Lauterbach complained about an âexponential growth not only in viruses, but also in false reports. ⊠In the case of Corona, for example, there was a scientists who used to do very good work but has now drifted off course: a Stanford scientist, Ioannidis,â Lauterbach says. He is referring to John Ioannidis (58), Professor of Medicine and Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University.
Statements that Bhattacharya wonât let stand!
âProfessor John Ioannidis is not âworn outâ and is one of the most published/cited scientists on Covid,â he says⊠Furthermore, Ioannidis neither wrote nor signed the âGreat Barrington Declarationâ. And the Stanford professor clarifies in his counterattack on Lauterbach that the âGreat Barrington Declarationâ never claimed that the virus was ânot dangerous.â ⊠âLauterbach seems to not have any inkling of the damage his lockdown policies did to the poor, to children, and to the working class,â says Bhattacharya. AND: The Stanford professor even calls Lauterbach âunqualifiedâ.
Major blogs and online magazines like Reitschuster and Tichys Einblick have picked up the story, with headlines about how badly informed Bhattacharya finds Lauterbach to be. News.de calls Bhattacharyaâs âpublic reprimandâ a âbitter slap in the faceâ for the Health Minister; Der Westen says much the same, as does the television broadcaster ProSieben.
We desperately need more of this. I call upon Jay Bhattacharya to continue his attacks on the German Health Minister. He is a moronic pseudointellectual fraud and a menace, and the German people need to hear this from Stanford professors like him. Perhaps the other authors of the Great Barrington Declaration could add their voices too. Surely John Ioannidis would also like to weigh in.

The Covid Inquiry is Insulting the Victims of Lockdown
By Will Jones
What gives the relatives of Covid victims the sole right to the moral high ground, asks Allison Pearson in the Telegraph. Lockdowns were devastating, and their victims were often far younger than those of Covid. Yet the Covid Inquiry puts the spotlight on the former while largely ignoring the latter. Hereâs an excerpt.
I really must stop watching the Covid Inquiry, itâs bad for the blood pressure. Even the element of drama is lacking because we all know how this story ends: Lady Hallett, shaggy blonde bob shaking sorrowfully, will find that chaotic, âshopping-trolleyâ Boris locked down too late (even though notably un-chaotic Germany only locked down two days earlier than us). Bad Boris also raised commonsense objections to lockdown and refused to keep the population masked and social distancing in perpetuity, as recommended by Susan âStalinâs Nannyâ Michie of the SAGE scientific advisory group.Â
Given the choice between Borisâs hale-fellow magnanimity and Michieâs joyless authoritarianism, I know which I would choose, but that is very much not the preference of this appalling establishment sham.Â
Relatives of those who died from Covid are allowed to be present (holding up laminated photos of the deceased) which gives proceedings the feel of a tribunal in Revolutionary France hellbent on personal revenge rather than what they should be; a rational and honest assessment of whether shutting down the country was justified.Â
After the former Prime Minister apologised on Wednesday â âI understand the feelings of these victims and their families, and I am deeply sorry for the pain and the loss and the suffering,â said Boris â four protesters stood up, holding signs which said: âThe dead canât hear your apologies.âÂ
What gives those people the right to sole occupancy of the moral high ground? Of course their losses are terribly sad, but the median age of death from Covid (about 83 years) was not that different to the normal life expectancy for men and women before the pandemic. What about younger people killed or traumatised by lockdown?Â
Where are the photos of the formerly happy girl who developed anorexia in 2020 and tragically took her own life (as recounted by the girlâs mother to a rightly upset Julia Hartley-Brewer on her Talk TV show)? How about the one million youngsters currently on a waiting list for mental-health services, a shocking queue that would stretch from London to Manchester?Â
Any portraits perchance at the Inquiry of the bereaved at funerals who were not allowed to console each other, not even when they lived in the same house for goodness sake? Or the pregnant women who went through miscarriages alone because, apparently, having the father with them was too much of a Covid risk?Â
How about the distraught, self-isolating spouses of confused and lonely care home residents who could not visit while staff trooped in gaily with their Tesco carrier bags? What about the grown men and women who still cry into their pillow at night fretting that their darling mum or dad died thinking they had abandoned them?Â

Boris Johnson is Still in Denial About Lockdowns
By Will Jones
When he appeared at the Covid Inquiry this week, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had a golden opportunity to get to the heart of the issue and denounce lockdown as unnecessary and harmful. But he blew it, says Dr. Jay Bhattacharya in UnHerd. Hereâs an excerpt.
As a vocal Covid dissident and lockdown opponent throughout the pandemic, watching the U.K. Covid Inquiry these past few weeks has been a depressing experience. One gets the sense that both the people leading the inquiry and the vast majority of those questioned â the architects of the U.K.âs disastrously failed Covid policy â have learnt nothing.Â
At one point on Wednesday, Boris Johnson had a golden opportunity to get to the heart of the problem. The lead inquiry lawyer, Hugo Keith KC, asked the former Prime Minister whether the late March 2020 order to lock down the country was âabsolutely necessaryâ. This was Johnsonâs golden opportunity to confess the cardinal error of the U.K.âs pandemic strategy: that it imposed lockdown in the first place.
Instead, he averred that the U.K. had âno other toolâ than lockdown available. Under questioning about his involvement in pandemic decision-making in January and February 2020, the ex-PMâs mea culpa centred on his regret that he had not âtwiggedâ the seriousness of the Covid threat earlier.
One major problem with this reasoning is that by the time February 2020 rolled around, Covid was almost certainly more widespread than anyone realised because it had arrived earlier than anyone realised. In 2019, Chinese authorities delayed reporting the existence of the virus to the world. Studies of antibodies in stored blood and stored wastewater from across the globe â including Italy, the U.S., Brazil and elsewhere â found traces of Covidâs presence in autumn 2019, long before the world knew about it. Even a January 2020 lockdown would have been too late: our fate was sealed once the virus was abroad in the world.
âThe inquiry has been marked by a studied lack of curiosity about the great control group of the pandemic: Sweden,â Dr. Bhattacharya continues. âBut Sweden did better than nearly every other country on earth in protecting human life. It has among the worldâs lowest cumulative age-adjusted all-cause excess deaths since the start of the pandemic. And it accomplished this feat without lockdown.â

Bristol University Axes the National Anthem from Graduation Ceremonies Amid Studentsâ Claims it is âOld-Fashionedâ and âOffensive to Someâ
By Will Jones
Bristol University has axed the National Anthem from its graduation ceremonies with some students claiming it is âold-fashionedâ and âoffensive to someâ. The Mail has the story.
The anthem has not been played since last yearâs ceremony with the university saying it regularly updates its graduation ceremonies.Â
God Save The King will now only be played when a member of the Royal Family is present.Â
Some students at the 147-year-old university have suggested the National Anthem was culled because it is âirrelevantâ, âold-fashionedâ or might even be âoffensive to someâ.
It comes just weeks after the university vowed to remove slave trader Edward Colstonâs emblem from its logo, after his statue was toppled during a Black Lives Matter protest in the city in June 2020.
Layla Daynes, 21, told the Sun: âThe monarchy isnât really relevant to my generation, so it wouldnât be missed.â
Free Speech Union director Toby Young asked: âWhy are Britainâs most prestigious universities openly contemptuous of the countryâs history and heritage?â
Worth reading in full.
If the point of multiculturalism â which many of the university bosses who make these decisions would swear by â is that we are supposed to be united as a nation despite sometimes massive differences in cultural outlook, how is axing the National Anthem â a prominent symbol of our nation as one people that transcends our differences â supposed to help with that? The suspicion must be that decisions like this are motivated primarily by hatred of country and its history than any honourable motive. Sidelining the National Anthem makes little sense even for the adherents of the multicultural creed â unless the point is just to do Britain down for its supposed âsystemic racismâ and historic âcolonialismâ.

Labour Parliamentarians Back Kemi Badenoch on Stopping Children Changing Gender at School
By Will Jones
Tony Blairâs former Education Secretary Estelle Morris, who now sits in the Lords as a Labour peer, has backed Kemi Badenoch on trans rights by saying children should not be encouraged to change gender. The Telegraph has more.
Estelle Morris said pupils should be taught in biology lessons that there are only two sexes.
Speaking in a debate in the House of Lords, she warned that if teachers allowed children to âsocially transitionâ, by referring to them by a different pronoun or name, it could cause them âpsychological damageâ.
She added that parents should always be informed if a child was struggling with their gender identity.
The comments go much further than the official Labour position, which so far has simply called on the Government to publish advice to schools on gender issues.
A group representing lesbian members of the Labour Party backed Equalities Minister Mrs Badenoch after she warned of an âepidemicâ of gay children being told they were transgender.
The Lesbian Labour Group said: âHow come a Tory minister can be right and Labour is so wrong?â
The Government has still not published long-awaited guidance for schools on how to deal with children who say they want to change gender, such as whether they should be allowed to take part in sports with children from the opposite biological sex.
I shudder to think what a Starmer-led Government will allow in our schools â itâs been bad enough under the Tories, whose âwar on wokeâ has often felt like little more than empty words from an administration powerless against the Blob.

When China relaxed its zero-COVID policy at the start of December, international observers warned there would be mass outbreaksin the Chinese population, which, it was estimated, lacks sufficient herd immunity or vaccine protection.
One statistical model published by healthdata.org predicts that 300,000 people could die from COVID-19 infections by April 2023 and 1.6 million people could die by the end of the year.
"Infections are steeply on the rise and hospitals are overwhelmed. It's quite [certain] that the situation is spiraling out of control, at least in Beijing and other big cities," said Björn Alpermann, a sinologist at the University of WĂŒrzburg in Germany.
COVID wave in China 'thermonuclear bad'
On December 19, a prominent epidemiologist, Eric Feigl-Ding, tweeted that the situation was "thermonuclear bad."
Feigl-Ding predicted "over 60% of China's and 10% of the Earth's population likely infected over the next 90 days. Deaths likely in the millions â plural."
In scenes reminiscent of the early months of the pandemic in 2020, Feigl-Ding posted a video of what looks like an overcrowded hospital, with patients lying close next to each other on the floor.
Other reports suggest morgues and crematoriums are overloaded, with backlogs running into the thousands. "The reports that crematoriums are working 24/7 are deeply disturbing," said Alpermann.
How accurate are the statistics?
It's not known how many people are currently infected with COVID-19 in China or the number of those who have recently died from the disease.
Oliver Radtke who lives in Beijing and is the chief representative of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, an independent political foundation affiliated with Germany's Greens, said it was impossible to know how severe the current COVID wave was by reading the official statistics.
"Judging strictly from personal evidence, scrolling through WeChat [social media] and having conversations with colleagues and friends, I reckon about one third in the city is sick, one third is taking care of the sick and one third simply doesn't dare to venture out," Radtke told DW.
Alpermann said the Chinese government had more or less admitted that its statistics were artificially low when it said that it would only count COVID deaths that had happened due to lung failure. That's Alpermann's personal assessment, but it suggests that those statistics tell only a partial truth.
The lack of accurate statistics about the current COVID situation in China makes predictions about deaths and illness difficult.
"There are so many moving parts in models, so there's a lot of guess work. The subvariant [of omicron, BF.7] circulating in China now isn't well studied, and we don't know how fast people will get boosters this winter," Alpermann said.
Booster campaign to target elderly
So, how are Chinese health authorities responding to the situation? Radtke said authorities had placed responsibility on individuals to keep safe.
"The official slogan these days is 'everybody is responsible for the prevention and control of the pandemic,'" he said.
But the Chinese National Health Commission (NHC) has initiated a large vaccination and booster campaign, especially for the elder and other high-risk groups.
Many health experts outside China have been critical about the effectiveness of Chinese vaccines from Sinovac and Sinopharm compared to mRNA vaccines, such as the BioNTech-Pfizer and Moderna jabs â and the NHC is only administering vaccines made in China.
However, reports suggest they may include new nasal spray vaccines in the booster program. The hope is that the new vaccine types will reduce COVID transmission as well as the risk of severe COVID-19 symptoms.
"Worries about grandparents and older parents are high. Especially regarding family members in the countryside and [remote] provinces, where Intensive Care Unit beds are rare or non-existent," said Radtke.
What caused the latest COVID outbreak in China?
Experts say that the current infection and death rates in China may be because the country has a lower level of population immunity than that in other countries.Â
"The Chinese government boasted they won a victory against COVID with their zero-COVID strategy. For some time it looked that way in 2021, but with omicron the picture completely changed," said Alpermann.
China has pursued a zero-COVID policy since the pandemic began.
During zero-COVID, the government implemented mass testing, imposed strict lockdowns and quarantined those people with COVID-19 in special facilities.
Now that it has relaxed its lockdown rules, the population has been going out but with very little natural exposure to infection, especially the more contagious variants, such as omicron â because they were locked in for all that time. In any case, that is the theory you hear from health experts outside China.
Rates of booster vaccine uptake are estimated to be low in China, especially among older people who have a higher risk of developing severe symptoms â only about one-third of over-80s and two-thirds of over 60s have received their first booster shot, according to official data.
"In retrospect, it now looks like the Chinese government did not use the time during zero-COVID to their own advantage to get vaccination rates as high as they should have been. They did not import more advanced mRNA vaccines or approve mRNA vaccines created in China," Alpermann said.
The first of three waves
Speaking at a conference in Beijing on December 17, Zunyou Wu, a chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that the current outbreak would peak this winter and run in three waves for about three months.
The modelling mentioned at the start of this article puts the potential death rate as high as 1.6 million people by the end of 2023. But that depends on whether COVID transmission can or will be contained with new lockdowns and by the success of vaccination programs.
"I am worried about what happens once the current wave reaches the lesser-developed parts of the country, especially in the western hinterland," said Radtke.
Whatever the exact figures, Chinese health authorities appear to be struggling to keep up with the spread of the disease, and that continues to cause concern outside of the country as well.

"Cooking to... 120° F did show that there was virus still in the cooked hamburger patty, although at reduced levels."
Tweet 2: 2) Initially the @USDA only stated that no virus survived cooking to 160 F and 145 F. But they didn't volunteer the 120 F rare cooking temperature results! Only after more questioning did they reveal 120 F virus survival. But so many folks eat rare meat! DISCLOSURE CRITICAL!
end ID]
At the moment you do not want to be eating anything that wasn't cooked to at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Beef that's been thoroughly cooked to the temperatures that were already recommended for safety should be okay, but anything rare can be carrying the H5N1 virus. We don't yet know what the risk is of eating it vs. breathing it in, but don't f*ck around with this one. The death rate in humans has previously been measured at 50%, and the dairy industry and CDC are completely failing to test cows despite known outbreak in many different states. They've failed for over a month to ensure that dairy workers have PPE despite multiple workers reporting flu symptoms.
The primary risk is going to be through other contact, and a mutation that can travel between humans is guaranteed at this point. Do not f*ck around with ingesting this, though. Cats who drank raw milk from infected cows showed a 100% death rate.
We don't know what the death/disability rate will be once it fully adapts to humans, but keep in mind that nearly everyone in the planet now has an immune system damaged by at least one Covid infection. We're riding entirely on luck. Get those Covid respirators back on when you're in public, indoors and outdoors, or you may be completely f*cked, because this is gonna be spreading human to human long, long before the CDC deigns to recognize it and alert you. Even a 10% death rate would massively disrupt supply chains and travel, leading to huge delays in everything you need to survive--and that's if we're lucky and don't get 50% or higher.

[image description: Tweet by Eric Feigl-Ding (@ drericding) reads, âOutdoor transmissionâJogger infects dozens in a parkâvia surveillance videos, investigators identified two hundred fifty six people who passed within one meter of patient zero as he jogged without a maskâthirteen (5%) infected, plus twenty more park visitors. Eighty five percent perfect covid-19 variant match to patient zero!â
The tweet quotes the following tweet by Bob Morris (@ rdmorris): âOverwhelming evidence of outdoor transmission of Omicron. At least thirty two unmasked people were infected by a man jogging through a park without a mask. Nothing beats a surveillance state for contact tracing. Details in the thread.â There is a bar graph included indicating a rise in daily cases between zero and sixteen following the day the jogger was in the park, of visitors and park staff.
Feigl-Ding continues, âOutdoor transmission has been suspected for a long time. Just been hard to prove in Western countries with the lack of detailed contact tracing. Many fleeting transmission been found at outdoor stadiums previously.
He quotes his own tweet from July 19th, 2021 reading, âWorriedâwe are now seeing lots of outdoor-only delta variant transmission between strangers with no direct contact. These sports attendees werenât even sitting togetherâlikely fleeting transmission at âpinch pointsâ (bottlenecks) at stadium gates. This would change everything.â
Feigl-Ding continues, âLast year at soccer match between England and Scotland, there was a big covid outbreak immediately afterward among those who traveled and attended. I wonder now about the World CupâŠâ End description]

#coronavirus#if a jogger spread it to that many people including some he wasnât within a meter of#then seems like transmission is basically instantaneous. like none of this âppl you were within 6 feet of gif at least 10 minâ or whatever#that may have been debunked a long time ago tho idk#Iâve been masking regardless because that never made any sense to me but yeah nice to have a study I can point to

Please note while this news is upsetting, it is important coverage. And saddening ghastly scenes is not the same as sensationalism or fear mongering. And labeling difficult developments as such is a form of denial, normalcy bias and invalidation. This IS the situation and China, let's accept this fact and find better ways to process that information.
