India National Cricket Team Vs Afghanistan National Cricket Team Timeline
The India National Cricket Team's first game in the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup will be on Thursday at the Kensington Oval in Barbados against Afghanistan. Team India is ready to play. They are in first place in Group A with seven points, earned from three wins and one tie with Canada. On the other hand, Afghanistan won three of their four Group C games, including a big 84-run win over New Zealand. Their only loss was to co-hosts West Indies, which was a big disappointment.
India national cricket team vs Afghanistan national cricket team timeline
Australia and Bangladesh have joined both teams in Group 1 of the Super Eight stage. England, the West Indies, South Africa, and the USA are in Group 2. At this time, the competition gets tougher and strategic plays start.
Important Players And Plans

India
Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal

Possibly moving Kohli to No. 3, strengthening the batting

Spin Bowling
Utilizing spin to challenge India's top order
India wants Virat Kohli to have a better event because he has only scored five runs in three games. If Yashasvi Jaiswal is added, it could change how the batters play, which could mean that Kohli moves to the No. 3 spot. The pitches in the Caribbean might be better for spinners, which means that Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal could play essential parts. Conversely, Afghanistan has a strong group of spin bowlers led by Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman, who could make it hard for India's top-order batters.
Meetings And Records From The Past
In eight T20Is, India and Afghanistan have played each other. India has a strong record, winning seven of the eight games. They had played each other before, and India won the gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games because it was seeded higher. This year, India won an exciting Super Over match, and the final at the Asian Games was called off because of rain.

Top 2 Teams to Emerge as Qualifiers from Group A In ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022
The ICC T20 World Cup is one of the most-watched international ICC tournaments, drawing millions of cricket fans. Because of its fast-paced, action-packed, short-duration nature, many Fantasy Cricket fans enjoy this game format. After months of anticipation, the 2022 T20 World Cup kicked off this week.
The T20 World Cup in 2022 has already produced some memorable moments. Namibia's upset of Sri Lanka was the highlight of Group A, as was UAE leg-spinner Karthik Meiyappan's magnificent hat-trick against the Asia Cup champions.
With all teams having played two matches, it is still unclear which two teams will advance to the Super 12s.
Scenarios for Group A Qualification: Who will succeed in making the Super 12s?
● Netherlands
★ 4 points
★ Net Run Rate: +0.149
★ Final Match-Sri Lanka
The Netherlands moved into first place after a thrilling win over Namibia on Tuesday. They pulled off a similar run chase against the UAE two days earlier, reaching the modest target of 112 in the 20th over.
The Dutch bowled beautifully and held their nerve in crucial moments. However, even though they are at the top, their qualification is far from certain. Sri Lanka now has a higher net run rate than Scott Edwards' team following their dominant win over the UAE. As a result, any defeat against Sri Lanka will leave the Dutch relying on the UAE to defeat Namibia.
If they win, they will finish first in their group and advance to Group 1, which currently includes Australia, New Zealand, England, and Afghanistan.
● Namibia
★ 2 points
★ Net Run Rate: +1.277
★ Final Match: UAE
Namibia suffered a heartbreaking defeat against the Netherlands, especially considering David Wiese and JJ Smit batted only nine balls between them. Despite the loss, Gerhard Erasmus' team is still in good shape to qualify due to their high net run rate. The equation is straightforward: beat UAE by any means necessary.
The earlier game features Sri Lanka and the Netherlands. If both Sri Lanka and Namibia win, they will advance on net run rate because they are already ahead of the Netherlands' +0.149. Who finishes first or second is also determined by the net run rate. Sri Lanka will be eliminated if the Netherlands and Namibia win.
● Sri-Lanka
★ 2 points
★ Net Run Rate: +0.600
★ Final Match: Netherlands
After a hiccup against Namibia, Sri Lanka now controls their destiny. They will qualify for the Super 12s if they defeat the Netherlands. Which group they end up in is determined by the margin of victory, as well as Namibia's performance against the UAE. If they lose, they will need UAE to beat Namibia by a large margin to qualify by miracle.
● United Arab Emirates (UAE)
★ 0 points
★ Net Run Rate: -2.028
★ Final Match: Namibia
UAE can still qualify mathematically. But they require a miracle. First, the Netherlands must defeat Sri Lanka. Second, they must thrash Namibia by a massive margin to reverse their net run rate of -2.028 versus the African nation's much superior +1.277.
Our Verdict
Sri Lanka has not yet qualified for the Super 12 round. The results of the remaining matches will determine which team advances to the next round. To advance to the Super 12s of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Sri Lanka must win its respective game against the Netherlands.
The Super 12 stage kicks off on Saturday with Australia vs. New Zealand at the SCG, followed by England vs. Afghanistan in Perth.

England On A Roll Beat Bangladesh
T20 World Cup (20th Match) - Super 12 (Group 2) Abu Dhabi
England pulled off one of the easiest of run chases to beat Bangladesh by eight wickets in only 14.1 overs after restricting their opponents to 124 in their group A T20 World Cup match in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
England in the process marked their second win that has put them ahead of the rest of the five teams batting for two semi final berths in their group.
Opening batter Jason Roy set the pace of the innings with a brisk 61 in 38 balls with five fours and three sixes and shared in a 71-run stand with Dawid Malan (28 not out) for the second wicket to hand Bangladesh their second successive defeat.
Bangladesh's decision to bat first after winning the toss did not pay off against some accurate bowling as their batters also played the wrong shots that resulted in England snatching two early wickets in the third over as spinner Moeen Ali got into the equation.
Ali opened the bowling and gave away 10 runs but his captain Eoin Morgan kept him for another over and the unexpected happened for the Bangladesh camp as Liton Das (9) top-edged a sweep shot to be caught at deep square-leg and in the next delivery Moeen Ali had Mohammad Naim (5) caught at mid-off attempting to go over the top.
It left Bangladesh reeling at 14 for 2 and got into a worse situation when Shakib Al Hasan (4) was caught at short fine-leg off paceman Chris Woakes with the total at 26 in the second ball of the sixth and last power-play over.
Bangladesh made a minor recovery through Mushfiqur Rahim (29) and Mahmudullah (19) but the repair job collapsed when Rahim played a fancy reverse sweep only to be adjudged leg-before against a ball from part-time spinner Liam Livingstone with the on-field ruling reversed by the television umpire when it was reviewed.
Thanks to two sixes in the 19th over by Nasum Ahamed, Bangladesh reached a total of 124 for 9 in the 20 overs.
Scores:
Bangladesh 124 for 9 in 20 (Mushfiqur Rahim 29, Moeen Ali 2 for 18, Tymal Mills 3 for 27, Liam Livingstone 2 for 15)
England 126 for 2 in 14.1 overs (Jason Roy 61, Dawid Malan 28 not out)
