JAIPUR CITY TOUR ITINERARY
1. Amber Fort
One of the top tourist attractions of Jaipur, the huge Amer Palace Fort sits atop a small hill, and is located at a distance about 11 km from the main city. The magnificent Amer Fort is an extensive palace complex that has been built with pale yellow and pink sandstone, and with white marble. The fort is divided into four main sections that are graced with their own courtyards. As you arrive at the Amer Fort, you will enter through the Suraj Pol; unless you arrive by car, then you enter via the Chand Pol. Both these gates open into the Jaleb Chowk, which is the main courtyard, where in earlier times, returning armies used to display their plunder to the people. The fort has a number of sections, including the King’s quarters, the zenana (where the women lived), gardens, temples, etc. There are a lot of attractions for one to see at the Amer Fort, including the diwan-e-aam, such mandir, and the Sheesh Mahal. Amer Fort is also home to some underground tunnels that connect Amer to Jaigarh Fort. A part of these tunnels has been restored, and is now open to public as well. Encompassing all this, the Amer Fort is a perfect example of Rajasthani architecture which is a must-visit.
The essence of Amer Fort is encapsulated by the beautiful light and sound show within the fort, where visitors get to see an astounding spectacle about the history of the fort.
2.Jal mahal
Jal Mahal or the Water Palace is one of the most majestic places to see in Jaipur. The city is dotted with marvelous architectural beauties and Jal Mahal stands at the forefront of these works of art. Standing amidst the center of Man Sagar Lake, the palace, when you first look at it, will give you the illusion of almost floating atop the lake and that is the moment when this sight takes your breath away.
The palace is not too high and has four dome-shaped pillars at four corners with a big one in the center. Jal Mahal was once the shooting lodging for the Maharaja of Jaipur and is now one of the landmarks of Jaipur Colourful Rajasthan.
Though the city of Jaipur has earned itself the moniker of the pink city because of pink stone being used in most of its buildings, Jal Mahal is unique due to red sandstone used in its construction. Today, visitors cannot explore the palace as a tourist attraction since the place has been converted into a restaurant and entry to visitors has been stopped.
Though there is no official record of the exact period of origin of Jal Mahal, legend has it that it was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, whose idea behind building this palace was to use it as a hunting lodge for his duck shooting adventures and not as a palace to stay. The origin of the lake can also be attributed to him as it was formed when a dam was constructed between the hills which led to the formation of the lake.
Another legend says that it was built by Maharaja Madho Singh in the 1750s to serve as a hunting lodge. His son Madho Singh II had a big role to play in enhancing the interiors of Jal Mahal during the 18th century when he added the courtyard grounds which are still a part of this palace.
3.Hawa mahal
Situated at Badi Choupad, Pink City of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal was built in 1799. It has 953 windows on the outside walls. The honeycomb shaped and beautifully carved windows allow breeze to blow through the palace and makes it a perfect summer palace. It was built as an extension to the city palace near by. See below for more information about Hawa Mahal.
In 1799, the Kachhwaha Rajput ruler, Sawai Pratap Singh, grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ordered Lal Chand Usta to construct an extension to the Royal City Palace. The Purdah system at the time was strictly followed. Rajput royal ladies should not be seen by strangers or appear in any public area. The construction of Hawa Mahal allows the royal ladies to enjoy from every day street scenes to royal processions on the street without being seen
4.City Palace
The City Palace, Jaipur was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, in 1727.
5.Jantar Mantar
The Jantar Mantar, Jaipur is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734. It features the world’s largest stone sundial, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is near City Palace and Hawa Mahal.
6.Albert Hall Museum
The Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur is the oldest museum of the state and functions as the state museum of Rajasthan, India. The building is situated in Ram Niwas garden outside the city wall opposite New gate and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. It is also called the Government Central Museum.
7. Shopping
The full day Jaipur shopping is all about coming across all those vibrant local varieties of products from all walks of life. The workmanship of Jaipur handicrafts in the sectors like Gems & jewelry, apparels, pottery, home decor items and many more. Let’s discover the plan to enjoy everything during the Jaipur shopping tour within a day. This is for sure that after this tour you definitely need one extra bag to carry all those souvenirs and artifacts that one can not resist to buy from the vibrant markets of charming Pink City.
How to begin A dedicated luxury can with an experienced driver will be allotted for the shopping tour. Where to begin, proceed and major destinations of the tour During the fabulous shopping tour the main walled area of Jaipur City will be covered in its length and breadth. The major stopovers would be as follows:
Right place for jewelry lovers especially who are keenly interested in gemstones. This market place as its very name depicts is a place where from hard core traditional to contemporary jewelry style offers a plethora of options to buy.
Handmade bags, camel leather bags, footwears, artifact and traditional to modern apparels…practically Bapu Bazaar has everything someone is looking for buying as souvenir.
Local & traditional shops clad with colorful Lac bangles make this market of special attraction. This special material is used in making shiny, bright, colorful and designer bangles which forms a core part of the accessory in fashion culture in Jaipur and mostly with rest of India. The unique design and shine of these bangles make them highly demanded in the international market too.
Carpets, turban, exquisite handicraft items, designer shoes and for handcrafted delicate marble artefact Maansarovar is the right place. Most of the shops have existed for more than 60-70 years. People love to shop from these narrow and packed streets even in today’s time for its cost effectiveness and attachment with the old culture of the city.
Buying apparels as souvenirs is best suggested to be shopped from Market. The traditional shops offer a great variety of traditional as well as contemporary cloth at much cheaper rate. Plus the fun of exploring the traditional marketplace comes truly alive as soon as one enters this market place.

‘I feel lucky as it’s the right time to come play in India’
Renuka Vyahare
Louis Tomlinson featured in Bombay Today [11.3.2025]
TRANSCRIPT:
English singer-songwriter and former One Direction band member, Louis Tomlinson made his India debut at a music fest in Mumbai on Sunday. Louis brought an intimate energy to the music festival, captivating the crowd with his signature blend of Britpop and indie pop. Fan swayed and sang along to his numbers, Drag Me Down, Night Changes, and Saturday, to name a few. The 33 year-old singer from Doncaster, England, made a confession. “Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be in India as a young lad, and never did I think I’d be performing here. It’s mind-blowing, man. I can’t get my head around it. I love you,” he said. Ahead of his performance, we met with Louis and struck an exclusive conversation which revolved around India, his music, and more…
🎶.
This is your maiden performance in India. What are your thoughts like going into the show?
I always try and manage my own expectations. I don’t really know what to expect. This is my first time here. There’s a reason why I’m here, that’s for sure. I’ve felt the presence online from Indian fans, and it’s a place I’ve always wanted to come to. So, it feels like a real honour to be here. When I saw the number of people waiting outside the airport just for me to arrive, that’s always a lovely feeling. As soon as I kind of touched down, I had that confidence that I’ve got that support, and that was a nice feeling.
Shawn Mendes wore the Indian cricket team jersey on Saturday. Do you follow the game back home?
Cricket is very big in the UK. My great-granddad used to have an old cricket ball for a long time. As a young lad, I remember playing with it quite a lot. Beyond that, I don’t follow the game too much, to be honest. I respect the sport, for sure, but I’m not a massive cricket fan.
What do you think of India as a global music destination? Coldplay performed here, Ed Sheeran was here for a while. Various global artistes are now frequently performing in the country.
It’s a surprise to me that we never came here with One Direction. I hear the band was big in India. It was a missed opportunity for us. Although, as you said, it is more common now with the likes of Ed and Coldplay coming here. I feel lucky because it’s the right time to play in India. I do think like all things in life, the music industry tends to be a bit rigid. As soon as you see Ed and Coldplay come over, then it’s brilliant for everyone else. It sets a precedent for how amazing the shows are in India and what is possible over here.
Right from The Beatles to now Coldplay and Ed Sheeran, English artistes have a strong connection with India. What was your perception of the country before landing here?
When I was 16 or 17 years old, I never imagined that I would be in a band someday. Probably the thing that might have been furthest away, like a dream, was playing in a place like India, so far from home and with a completely different culture and food. That’s a luxury. That’s something I never thought I’d be in a position to do. So just to be here and take in the excitement is amazing. I’ve been fighting to come for the last five, six years because it’s such an exciting place to explore. You know, if I go back to England and tell anyone that I’ve been to India, I’ll watch their ears prick up. They’ll be interested because it’s just a really, really exciting place to visit. I feel very lucky to be able to play here.
You are in Bombay for the first time. Is this a brief visit or are you hoping to explore the city?
I am just taking in as much as possible because this trip, given the nature of the festival, we’re in and out. I’m going to spend about 48 hours here and leave right after the show, so my time is limited. My mission is to absolutely nail the show and hopefully to come back and do my own tour here. And it’ll be at that time where I will probably have more time to explore, take in the culture and eat more food. Because I’ve realized how much of a Brit I sound when I say the only curry I’ve had so far is butter chicken. That’s pretty British, isn’t it? The food is definitely better here, even the butter chicken I had last night.
You started off quite young as a singer. You’ve been a contestant, judge, band member and now solo artist. What have been your learnings?
I was always taught for a young age to trust my gut, and I think in an industry like this, you are constantly surrounded by different opinions, some are valid and some are not. At some point you have to trust yourself and trust your gut.
You are known for your fashion and your music. As a trendsetter, what inspires you? What gets you going?
Musically, it’s lyrics. I think that’s my strongest suit as a writer. I really appreciate deep lyrics. I admire someone like Sam Fender. He has good conceptual lyrics. As far as fashion is concerned, I always dress down. And in recent years, it’s become trendier to dress down. So, the whole time, it’s suited me very well.
You have acted a bit. Are you aware of Bollywood and the film culture here?
I am aware of the film culture in India. I haven’t really watched a Bollywood film though. Maybe you could give me a recommendation. if someone from Bollywood is listening, I’m in!
What are you like when no-one’s watching? With social media so much of a celebrity’s life is out there.
I’d like to think I’m not too different from what you see on camera. I always try to carry myself in an honest way. I suppose just by the nature of the job, behind the cameras, I’m a little bit more low-key. But yeah, I’d like to think that I’m pretty similar to how I am now.

𝑩𝑼𝑻 𝑰 𝑫𝑶𝑵'𝑻 𝑭𝑬𝑬𝑳 𝑳𝑰𝑲𝑬 𝑮𝑶𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑯𝑶𝑴𝑬.
this is going to be a journal archive for me, but feel free to reblog or whatever.
the first ever time i saw louis was in manchester, uk : a place close to where louis calls home. it happened out of nowhere, stacks of luck falling my way where i moved to the uk to study and my lovely friend jas was selling her ticket. my first ever concert and i was so incredibly excited and lost in the love and memories that show held. over the past three years, i've seen him twelve times in total, something that even as i type this feels so surreal to me.
there was something cosmic working my way when the moment i decided to move back home, it was announced that louis would be performing in india. when i thought i'd never see him again, he somehow, without even knowing gave me hope to never say never. and so the wait began. i bought the ticket six months ago. two days after that i found out i wasn't moving home afterall, instead flying continents away to latin america. never fret, i said to myself. louis would tour here for lt3, i said. even still, my heart clenched thinking about how he's performing at my home and i wouldn't be there. maybe it was the same cosmos returning, or maybe it was a new string of fate tugging, but after i went through a depressive spiral and circumstances failed me, i did end up moving back home afterall. as i held myself and my suitcases, with tears filling my eyes and no idea what i was going to do with my life, i latched onto the only hopeful thing i could see at that point : at least i will get to see louis in india, at least there's that good thing still happening, unsnatched and unbridled.
and so, the excitement began. mixed still with that one nagging thought that it might all go wrong. i reached mumbai on friday, and the air felt fresh. hopeful. i met with some lovely friends on saturday, and the air felt like love on a summer's day. hopeful. i woke up at 5 a.m on sunday and ran for my life at 2 p.m and i sat down, starfishing, holding space for my friends, out of breath, grime all over me, my back aching, face drenched in sweat. hopeful.
at ten past seven, with my heart caught up in my throat, i looked up and there he was. in his white tank top and yellow trousers. magnificent. ethereal. live. there's something so magical about a live show, wherein the artist takes you in and you look right back at them with so much awe held in your eyes that it sizzles through the air. you could see the disbelief evident on his face and so when two songs in, he introduced himself and said he's a kid from doncaster in nothern england and never in a million years did he think he'd ever come to india and the gratitude swept over his words, that same disbelief washed over us. that how is it possible that he's here, in front of us. he kept saying the same thing so many times because he was left without words by how welcoming we were. in that moment, my previous 11 shows passed by in a blur and this 12th show felt like the first, but more special. he couldn't believe how loud we were and from the first moment itself he knew this was going to be a special gig, he said so a few times. and who were we to take that joy from him? we gave it back tenfold, we made sure he felt every single voice, every single breath, every single heartbeat. we were louder than him but the love present at the field was the loudest ever booming echo.
a moment of calm, cameras and signs down, soft strings of the band gearing up for the next song, a halo of blue lights surrounding him. i fanned myself with my left hand to beat the heat and i see him making a thumbs up sign. i look around me, to see if someone was feeling down and needed a breather. but i found no one and when i turned back, he made the sign again and pointed at me, as if to say "yes, you" and i signed back to him, "all okay"; he checked again and after the confirmation, started singing again. i'd like to hope that he also saw the zouis shirt i was wearing. i'd like to hope that i never forget this night.
halfway through the set, his confidence grew back and it roared, "this is my fucking lot", and yet again who were we to deny him that. the disbelief, ever present but now there was unadulterated happiness and a good overwhelm mingling. the amount of times he pointed to us, to here, to now, to this night showed how much it meant to him. he spoke more than he sang, his thank yous more than his songs.
on a sunday evening as the sun set down over the coast of mumbai, he sang saturday with a heavy voice, as though he couldn't hold his emotions in anymore. he let them pour out with each exhale, each word, each note. and we gathered it up, held it safe, and gave it back to him in the form of our unending love. a note change at the word "shade" and the confidence was back once again.
and so came the time we all hate, the goodbye, the hopeful temporary distance. it wasn't just us though, louis was right there with us, a pout on his face, saying he doesn't want this to be over, that he has to let go now. he starts singing, and i see tears stream down all around me. he's never once sang the words "i don't feel like going home" out loud but on a sunday in mumbai, he sang them, he meant them, he didn't feel like going home.
the bridge came upon us, the last few minutes of louis in mumbai. in my previous shows, i have noticed that before the bridge he says something along the lines of "sing as loud as you can, let's finish this together". but as everything that's happened so far, this sunday in march was different. he took a pause, took the crowd in, and said "i will never, ever forget this. let's finish this together. thank you, thank you, thank you." and took a leap to the sea of desis gathered on the field for him. he giggled through barricade, held hands, touched faces and soared, "i don't feel like going home" as he ran back, with one last swaying dance move and taking our voices and hearts along with him.
you'd think that now that he's left the stage, it'll be calm. you'll realise it's over, even though he didn't want it to end. and when has louis ever let go of his stubbornness? he posts pictures from the show immediately after, somewhere amidst the grounds as green day finish their set. and we feel the love soaring from him, the pride and the joy. moments later, still maybe reeling from the adrenaline, he tweets "from doncaster to mumbai" and seals a permanent home for himself in our country and our hearts.
as i lay in the field with my friends, our heads touching and hearts synced with a bone deep ache in us, i think to myself, there is so much hope in the world yet. it took 15 years for louis to come to our home, but it was worth the wait for him and for us. it may sound parasocial but i feel such kinship to louis and how i am drawn to him and he to me. to me, louis represents hope and strength. hope beats in our hearts, still, yet, and forever.
the last time i saw louis was in mumbai, india : a place close to where i call home. and so, the story ends here. or at least until a new string of fate tugs and the cosmos fall in line again.

demon brothers + dateables as destinations in the human world
✎ a/n: these are my opinions! i'm south and west asian, so i am most knowlegeable about those countries, please correct me if i've said anything incorrect!
LUCIFER
new york city, usa. he likes the cold, industrial corporate feel of nyc. it helps him avoid his feelings.
anywhere in germany. he likes their no-nonsense culture and unspoken social rules.
MAMMON
las vegas, nevada, usa. he always begs mc to take him there. the flashy lights and casinos are right up his alley.
dubai, uae. he loves the luxurious feel of it, and how its the center of celebrity gatherings, vacations, and parties.
LEVIATHAN
tokyo, japan (especially the akihabara/electronic district). he's always updated on pop culture and the newest technology/games.
seychelles island, africa. he likes swimming, but not socializing on the beach. that's why he likes isolated islands.
SATAN
london, england. he's interested in their medival history and seeing the places that inspired novels like harry potter and the sherlock holmes franchise.
cat island in japan, or any mediterranean country where cats freely roam.
ASMODEUS
paris, france. he'd love paris fashion week. he also just seems french to me, idk.
seoul, south korea. he'd adore seoul's culture, everything from the modern sappy kdramas to traditional dresses, like hanbok. he would bring an empty suitcase to stuff it with beauty products.
BEELZEBUB
mumbai, india. this metropolitan city in india offers so many different kinds of food. he would love to eat his way through the city, if not the entire country.
every city in mexico. he'd try the regional cuisine, but also hang out at the beach with his brothers and mc (so cute).
BELPHEGOR
cairo, egypt. he was once fascinated with humans, and often watched them build civilizations from heaven when he was an angel. he would enjoy the historical wonders of egypt.
reykjavic, iceland. idk why he just gives me iceland vibes. life there can be slow and cold, and it often gets less light than other countries.
DIAVOLO
transylvania, romania. he loves its breathtaking castles and culture, and is intrigued with all the pop culture references of vampires.
petra, jordan. this is a significant place in abrahamic religions, known for being haunted by demons, or jinn. diavolo would be fascinated by this history, whether its actually haunted or not. i know he'd eat up those scary ghost tours (insert fic about that here) and even probably try and scare a few tourist groups, despite barbatos advising him against it.
BARBATOS
istanbul, turkiye. istanbul has well-maintained structures from the byzantine empire, the ottoman empire, and even "newer and hip" neighborhoods. barbatos, being able to see the past and future, would appreciate the blend of it all here, like he's walking through time.
kathmandu, nepal. he'd enjoy the peace of monasteries and mountains, which are as old as the earth itself.
SIMEON
tuscany, italy. he'd enjoy the vast fields, heavenly sunsets, small towns and historic churches. he would find tuscany a peaceful place to write, but appreciates the community feel of small italian towns. would definitely be so friendly he'd get invited to eat dinner at a random family's house.
thessaloniki, greece. he would absolutely love seeing all the greek orthodox churches there, with their blue and white colors and dome roofs. he is just amused to see the religious structures humans have created. he'd also probably be interested in greek mythology, even though he's an angel.
LUKE
cape town, south africa. he would be so excited to see penguins at the beach and would enjoy the burst of color south africa offers. he'd also enjoy the modern bakeries and desserts in south africa.
lyon, france. the country is known for desserts. luke would probably take a baking class there to learn how to bake more things.
SOLOMON
salem, or just any small town in massachusetts. as a sorcerer, he's intrigued with their history of "witch hunting" and the paranormal.
lalibela, ethiopia. being old, he's intrigued with how ancient cities like lalibela have changed since biblical times. he also probably enjoys learning about different cultural practices and what they have in common with his sorcery. he also wants to learn how to cook more dishes from different countries, but fails miserably

hi there can i ask what are your favourite fics??
ahhhhhh this was so hard to narrow down since i think i have something like 300 beatles fics bookmarked on ao3 (plus a ton saved from livejournal but i’ve only included ao3 ones here). at first i was gonna pick a top 5 or top 10 but that was too hard so here are my top 24-ish i think? could have picked a lot more tbh. i only included fics that are completed, even though there are a lot i love that are either WIP or abandoned. also didn’t include any modern AUs though there’s a lot of those that i love as well! if anyone has any specific requests for other fic reqs i’m always happy to suggest more :)
on our way back home by kathleenishereagain
this fic has the most kudos in the fandom for a reason! old paul time travels back to the touring days and his relationship with john changes from there. love the way they integrated the magical realism into this and it’s just such a beautiful, touching story.
knowing that the sun is there by tarenas
john comes out after brian dies. lovely look at john’s individual relationships with all of the beatles and cynthia (but especially his relationship with paul of course)
cutting water with a knife by savageandwise
may’s perspective on john and paul. love love love. heartbreakingly realistic and so poignant. feels like it could have been a cut chapter out of loving john.
i’m so tired, my mind is set on you by dornfelder
god how i wish this is what would have happened in india. i’ve read this fic so many times, it just feels so real i keep coming back to it.
india, actually by inspiteallthedanger
jane notices that john’s india tapes are all of paul a la love actually. love jane in this and paul and john’s dynamic is great.
grow old with me by inherownwrite
john and paul in scotland in the 80s - paul breaks his arm and gives john a fright. such a tender picture of what could have been had things not ended how they did.
i was a younger man then (now) (post hoc) by fingersfallingupwards
using the time traveller’s wife premise in quite literally the best way i have ever read. the way it unfolds is…. stunning.
having coffee by dornfelder
old paul and john reflecting on life and being outed in the 80s through an interview. lovely.
to lead a better life by downtothelastdrop
1966 ringo mistakenly thinks john and paul are together, leading to a revelation of paul’s own.
going nowhere by inspiteallthedanger
fix-it where after surviving the shooting, john moves back to england.
if i could choose my own name, it’d be the one that falls best from your lips by kandakicksass
one of my favourite reincarnation fics ever. i really enjoyed how simple it was, how the pieces just slid into place so naturally.
the birthday party by merseydreams
everyone reunites for ringo’s 40th in july 1980. an excellent look at the dynamic between all the bugs and how things could have gone.
something old something new by inspiteallthedanger
john shows up to pattie and eric’s wedding causing a beatles reunion for the first time in years and some shenanigans and talks with paul. this fic is hilarious and THIS is my george, i love him so much
1967 by please_dont_wake_me
paul and john stay in paris after their 1961 trip. they return to liverpool in 1967 as a couple. this feels so real, the way every minor character is written… the dynamics between them all - every detail is excellent.
the beatles holiday au series by econhomework
an AU that follows john and paul (and george/ringo) being a committed couple in the 60s/70s and having their children via surrogacy. i’ve been subscribed to this series for years now and it’s a lot of fun getting an update that builds upon the last around every holiday, giving a little snippet into their lives as the kids grow up chronologically. (they also have other fics set in this AU in their beatles fic requests series)
the brother dearest series by javelinbk
jim and mimi get married, causing john and paul to become step-brothers (sort of). interesting premise and an even better execution of it. not to mention the idea of jim and mimi getting together will never fail to make me laugh (but also sort of makes a lot of sense???)
how much was mine to keep by mynamesbetty
paul is ‘unstuck in time’ and lives his life out of order a la slaughterhouse five (one of my favourite novels). done very well.
take a sad song and make it better by javelinbk
1980s paul moves his ex-boyfriend into his house because he’s an idiot but i love him. great fix-it.
christmas lights (keep shinin’ on) by distinguished_like
paul invites john to the mccartney family christmas party, leading to some discussions between the two. very cute early years fic.
here today by herspecialagent005
december 1980 except john and paul are hosting a dinner party for some friends in scotland, with magical realism elements. ugh loved this so much, especially linda and just all the little details of john and paul settling into a life together.
kissing the blarney by tikk
paul is the blarney - this turns into a superstitious ritual in the band which emotionally complicates things but ends very satisfyingly.

Why India Players Are Wearing Black Arms Band On Day 3 Of IND vs ENG 3rd Test
IND vs ENG 3rd Test: During the third day of India vs England 3rd Test in Rajkot, the Indian team took to the field donning black bands. This gesture was in honor of the late Dattajirao Gaikwad, a former India captain and the oldest Test cricketer for India, who recently passed away. Dattajirao Gaikwad passed away in Baroda at the age of 95. He made his debut in 1952 and scored 350 runs across 11…

new zealand have just beaten india, at home, in a test series
to put into perspective how big of an accomplishment this is, india have lost two test series at home in 20 years (those being england's tour of 12/13 and australia's tour of 04/05)
on top of that, they have done it without their best ever cricketer, kane willamson
massive congrats to the black caps!
#ind vs nz#bgt revenge looking very plausible for aus now hmm#that or nz have done the cousinly thing and riled up india to have them peak in aus

Maureen Wilson Plant

Maureen Plant, née Wilson was born in India. She was a trained nurse and the only wife of Led Zeppelin's frontman Robert Plant, and muse of the band's "Thank You" song. She is the mother of 3 of his children: Carmen Jane, Karac Pendra, and Logan Romero Plant.
Early Years and Family
Maureen F. Wilson was born in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India on November 20th, 1948. She has one younger sister, Shirley Wilson.
Guitarist Vernon Pereira (1944 – 25 October 1976), who was a founding member of the Band of Joy with Chris Brown, was her cousin.
Maureen Wilson's father was chief of the Calcutta mounted police. Their family moved to Trinity Road, West Bromwich sometime after Indian independence, where he became a steel factory owner in Birmingham.

Relationship with Robert Plant
In 1966, Maureen Wilson met Robert Plant at a Georgie Fame concert, which at the last minute was canceled. From then on they began seeing each other and their relationship blossomed. Throughout the mid-1960s, Plant struggled financially. He played in various bands such as Listen, Band of Joy, and even had a few solo projects.
Plant later acknowledged that Maureen, who was working as a qualified nurse at the time, had helped him financially during this period of chopping and changing bands. Apparently, Plant even had a short stint working in Maureen’s father’s steel factory to make ends meet.
On November 9th, 1968, Robert and Maureen married. The reception took place at the Roundhouse, a venue Led Zeppelin played earlier that evening.
In 1969, Maureen traveled with Led Zeppelin on their North American Spring Tour, however, this was her last ever tour on the road with the band. After that, she stayed on the family farm and looked after their children.
Also in 1969, Robert Plant dedicated the track “Thank You” to her.
Robert and maureen had three children: Carmen Jane (born 21 October 1968); Karak Pendra (20 April 1972 – 26 July 1977); and Logan Romero Plant (born January 21 1979). Robert was present for the birth of all 3 of their children.

Car accident and Karac's death
The day after the last Earls Court date, on March 26th 1975, Robert Plant, Maureen, and their two children set out on a trip to Marrakech, Morocco. Jimmy Page, his girlfriend Charlotte Martin and their daughter, Scarlet, joined the Plants in June. The two families travelled through July and wound up on the Greek island of Rhodes. On August 3rd, Page left to check on some property in Sicily. The next day, Maureen Plant was driving her family and Scarlet Page in a rented Austin Mini car down a narrow road on the island when she lost control. The car hit a tree hard. Thrown against the steering wheel, Maureen suffered life-threatening injuries and had lost a large amount of blood. Robert first thought she was dead. Maureen's leg was broken, her pelvis fractured, and she suffered concussion for 36 hours from a fractured skull. Robert and their children were seriously injured but Scarlet Page was unhurt. Charlotte Martin and Maureen's sister Shirley Wilson, who were following in the car behind managed to get medical help, but there was concern the local facilities were inadequate and Swan Song Records tour manager Richard Cole was contacted to bring the Plants back home to England for emergency treatment. Band manager Peter Grant arranged for two Harley Street specialists as well as blood plasma to be sent via private jet in the meantime. While Robert had to be moved again to the Channel Islands for tax reasons and recuperation, Maureen remained in London to continue recovery. Robert wrote the song 'Tea for One', about his feelings for her on tours away from home.
Karac Plant was at the tender age of five when he became suddenly ill with an unidentified viral infection. On July 26th 1977, Led Zeppelin traveled to New Orleans for the next show. As they were checking into the hotel, Robert received a call from his wife Maureen at the family's farmhouse near Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The first phone call said his son was sick, and within the next two hours later, she informed Robert that Karac had passed away. Earlier Karac had felt ill and been ordered to bed by the family doctor, but his condition deteriorated. Maureen called an ambulance but he failed to respond to treatment and died on the way to Kidderminster General Hospital on Tuesday 26 July 1977. Robert Plant was shocked and devastated. An autopsy held on Monday 1 August 1977, revealed Karac had died from natural causes. Only a week earlier Carmen had become ill with the same stomach enteritis which affected Karac. Karac's funeral and cremation was held in the first week of August 1977.

The 1980s and beyond
Logan Romero Plant was born on 27 January 1979. His birth hardened Robert's resolve not to tour the United States for any length of time.
Robert and Maureen divorced in August 1983, but they have remained friends.
Maureen Plant dated Ian Hatton, guitarist for Jason Bonham around 1991.
In October 2010, she attended a number of UK shows of the Robert Plant and the Band of Joy European Tour 2010.

He sounds so uncultured! Also, Coldplay and Ed are on an very different level...
«The 33-year-old British musician, who performed here at the third edition of Lollapalooza India on Sunday evening, enthralled the crowd with beloved hits from One Direction like ‘Drag Me Down’, ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’, ‘Night Changes’, alongside his solo tracks such as ‘Written All Over Your Face’, ‘Out of System’, ‘Saturdays’, ‘Back To You Now’, and ‘We Made It’.
"It's hot but great.. It's just quick flying in and out so it's a fast trip, but I'll be back, hopefully. I’m getting a beautiful vibe. Everyone feels happy. It's a good and infectious energy. I've not visited enough; that's why I must come back and spend more time outside of the gig,” Tomlinson told PTI in an interview.
The singer said despite the limited time, he managed to explore a few places around the St. Regis hotel in South Mumbai.
“I was very British, and I found a few bars to watch football. So, that was nice. The food is great and delicious. I’m a big fan. I’ve only had butter chicken so far... I'm going to have an Indian feast ,” he said.
The singer said he though he has not seen any Bollywood movies and would like to catch some during his flight back home, he is aware of the "absolute colossal presence those movies have world over".
Tomlinson said the success that Ed Sheeran and the Coldplay band had during their tour in India has opened doors for him and others looking to perform here.
“From afar, with Coldplay and Ed Sheeran coming over here , you feel like something's happening, not that it hasn't always been happening here. But with the size of the tour that Ed's gone on, that's great for me and everyone else because it makes all the conversations around this a little bit easier.
"There's a proof of concept with Ed and with Coldplay, and it's exciting. I think you're going to be seeing more of that."
Tomlinson said he has always felt a "strong presence" of his music in India.
“I've felt a strong presence, pretty much as long as I can remember from Indian fans online. People asking me to come. I answered someone online, maybe five or six years ago, saying, 'I don't know exactly when, but I'll be here'. It took this long."
For Tomlinson, being at Lollapalooza India was an emotional experience as his favourite band, Green Day, also made their much-anticipated debut at the same festival last evening.
“When I was 14, I was in a band at school. We didn't write our songs; maybe we did like one, and essentially, we would do cover songs, but 70 per cent of the covers were of Green Day at the time, who happened to be playing at the festival.
"So, that's kind of a nice full circle moment for me, to be playing at Lollapalooza, and then Green Day also here. It's a real proud moment for me,” Tomlinson said, adding that he attended the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago about ten years ago.
Growing up in England, the singer said pursuing his passion for music wasn’t easy.
“I'm not a musical connoisseur. I'm just a fan like everyone else. My relationship with music is that I feel and think about it all the time. I was from a place in England where music wasn't cool. As a guy to be a singer, anything that's a little bit arty like that wasn't what everyone did, so it was a bit different.
"It wasn't as if there were local people I could aspire to be. I feel lucky that I've found music because in a parallel world, I probably never would have. There are times where it's vital, not just to me as a professional, to me as a person and as a music fan,” he recalled.»

Louis really is a brainless worm. I hate how he constantly links being British to being shallow and obsessed with drinking and sport. He's in India for the first time ever but instead of going sight-seeing he heads to bars that show English football?
#louis tomlinson#louis dumblinson#also why can't he see further than his own back yard?#doncaster is only 23 miles from Sheffield#the arctic monkeys and pulp are both from sheffield!#does he even know this?

Taylor’s use of 7 is Haylor, including seven: a thesis
Buckle up, friends. Ever since hearing the seven poem aloud on the Eras tour—with its explicit link to Wildest Dreams—it confirmed my long-held suspicion that *seven* is Haylor.
Some data:
- all track 7s post Red seem to be Haylor
- 7 is Harry’s number (added to hers you get 20, hence all the references to 20)
- seven is track 7 on folklore, the album Taylor released on 1D’s 10th anniversary. What? Harry had released Fine Line on her previous bday (#30, Dec 13/19) and she’d missed his Feb 1st day already.
But bestie, you might ask, how is it possible? Let me explain, drawing from details of the song.
We know that Anne and Des Styles divorce when Harry is 7. Anne has primary custody of H and Gemma in Holmes Chapel, but they remain close to Des whom they see on weekends.
But then, there is a period in their lives that no one knows much about and no one speaks about. Even this gem (which I am currently citing) - a 1D origin story has very little.

Harry has another stepdad whose last name is Cox (which was Anne’s name during 1D X factor time). His name was John. They family move to Great Budworth in the Cheshire countryside where Anne is landlady in a pub (and Harry talks fondly of ice cream runs and first girlfriends).
But then when H is around 12, Anne and the kids are back in Holmes Chapel. Anne eventually dates and gets serious with Harry’s beloved, now late stepdad Robin Twist. And Harry sometimes mentions his overwhelming desire to protect his Mom and Gemma at all costs.
No one ever mentions this guy. Ever.
Fast forward a few years to the magical December of 2012. After work commitments, Harry and Taylor spent 4 or 5 days in the north of England. They stay with Anne, and they Christmas bake and go on double dates with Gemma and her then boyfriend, and grocery shop and hang out with his friends. He takes her to the Lakes, where she’s dreamed of going.
It’s her 23rd birthday and be showers her with surprises and 23 thoughtful gifts (she’s not writing The Moment I Knew on his watch!). He gets her food from his childhood fave Chinese place and the bakery where he worked! He is showing her his life. It’s documented here…
Including their visit to a pub in Great Budworth and a drive around the area.
We have no idea what happened, but maybe Taylor does?
Taylor never got to take him to Pine Tree farm in rural PA, as far as we know. But in the depths of the pandemic, when no one could go anywhere, she paints him a picture of her PA childhood.
And in it, we find a fictionalized friend who has a difficult and maybe scary father figure. One from whom Taylor wishes she could save and protect her friend, despite crossing her heart and promising not to tell.
What a gift, to affirm the struggle this child went through, and to show her care and desire to *be with them in it*.
She wanted to scoop him up and take him away from the closet tears to play pirates and “run away to India”. What kid in rural PA wishes to go there? Come on! 😭😭😭
And then, here are the lyrics she pens:
“Passed on like folk songs, the love lasts so long”
“And just like a folk song, our love will be passed on…”
And most significantly - *love you to the moon and to Saturn* 🌙🪐 !!!!!
She wasn’t kidding in Gold Rush - “my mind turns your life into folklore, I can’t bear to dream about you any more.”
