There are so many angles to explore

Is the planet a gas giant, and the people live on floating continents or islands hundreds of thousands of miles away from each other, and have forgotten how to make propulsion tech that would let them travel far enough to go to other islands? What happened to their travel tech, if once they clearly were able to travel that far before?

Or maybe just a really huge aquatic world with no actual land masses, just floating rafts of plants that people build on, and the tide moves the smaller ones, so nobody knows where they even are besides themselves? And why would they look for any people outside their own island or archipelago? As far as they know, they're the only people on the only 'land' in the world!

Is it a fantasy world where their planet has been split into different realms at some point, and nobody knows exactly how many, like the Death Gate Cycle (but you know, forever?)

Is there some other natural or magical reason it Goes On Forever?

Does it go on forever, actually? Or are the travelers that the story follows unwittingly trapped in some kind of time paradox, where they are unmoored temporally, and each new land they discover is only 'new' because it's centuries or eons into the future and the place did not exist when they set out on their trip?

I can keep going!!!!!! This is really fun

This past year and three months have been such an awakening for Jewish people, but one with a certain flair of absurdity. It feels like un-reality, like a wicked nightmare you can't wake up from. It's like the entire world has lost its mind and when you try to tell them this isn't normal, that what they're doing is wrong, they twist reality itself to say that no it is actually normal, it is you who is wrong. They dehumanize you, treat you as a symbol of evil and disgust. It's like we all woke up a year ago no longer humans, something else, something vile, like a bug, like a... oh. oh.
