I saw a post about how Iain Mccaig’s AOTC concept art Padmé had the seduction and elegance of a falcon while canon (GL’s) Padmé had the elegance of a dove. And honestly, yeah I agree. Padmé’s AOTC concept art isn’t the true reflection of whom Padmé’s character is, and it’s not a bad thing! Concept art Padmé is gorgeous (I’m obsessed) but the danger, power, seduction, sharper eyes instead of doe ones, and this sith like presence in her aura, eyes, and style just isn’t Padmé. Canonically, Padmé is all sweetness wrapped up in seductive and alluring beauty, she’s not someone who knows she’s capable of making 10 men drop dead at her feet with just a wink, she’s always sincere and passionate and ready to give her whole heart to the chase no matter what it is. She’s selfless and bubbly, vibrant and colourful, while also being a courageous leader and maintaining a serious reputation for herself.

And honestly, I’m not even saying this more seductive-sneaky and dangerous Padmé whom we see in the concepts aren’t anything like Padmé either, I’m just saying that’s not whom she is at nature, and essentially the way she was crafted in the final version of the story is what makes sense and aligns with her character. In my opinion, I think behind closed doors (with Anakin specifically lol.) this more dangerous side to Padmé comes out, and she goes from being elegant like a dove to elegant like a falcon 🔥 and we see proof of that in the scene with Anakin by the fireplace in AOTC, with her seductive style and sharp bedroom eyes. This side of Padmé is the one that knows she can absolutely own her man, and make him do whatever she wants, and I expect that works out well for her a lot, lmao.
