They are heads of a "mafia" (in quotation marks in Wolf's case), they are known as dangerous people (animals?), they are cool bandits

Nina and Andrew:

They are incredible, they are "grandchildren" of the main villains, they are strong, they know how to lead an "empire", they are my favorite characters

komodo brothers and Leon:

They are reptiles, they are killers, and they would get along very well

Pigma and Uka Uka:

... They don't have anything in common, I just thought they'd be good enemies.

Nitros and Scales:

They are strong as hell.

Emperor Velo XXVII, Anglar Emperor and Aparoid Queen:

They own empires, and idiot

Neo Cortex and Andross:

... this is self explanatory...

Star Fox and Crash Bandicoot have a lot in common and I'll prove it to you

Fox and Crash:

They are the protagonists, they are oranges, they have a hot girlfriend, they are sometimes silly ("sometimes" in Fox's case)

Slippy and Coco:

They are smart, they invent amazing things, they are friends/brothers of the protagonist

Falco and Crunch:

Have fought with the protagonist (physically and mentally) are friends with the protagonist but also a bit of a rival

Peppy and Aku Aku:

They are the wise ones of the group, they are old, they are skewers, they are practically the adoptive parents of the protagonists

Krystal and Tawna:

They are strong, they are smart, they are attractive, they are the protagonist's girlfriends

I'm not really sure why, but I have always seen N. Tropy as more of a "softy" than any of the other villains. I know he isn't exactly that way canonically, especially in Crash Bandicoot 4, but I still think he has a bit of a soft side. Like I said, I don't know why I think this. This is just something I have always imagined. And no, he's not my favourite villain, although he used to be. Emperor Velo XXVII is my favourite villain now (NOT Real Velo but the robotic Velo). Speaking of Velo, I prefer his fake form. That's just how I am.

With all that design exploration out of the way,

Angst.

I dunno if I’m dense or anything, but I always sort of assumed that in Stowing Away, even though Oxide commands his ship’s crew to set up an escape pod, Crash/Coco ends up getting to it first and that’s how they escape the ship before it crashes on Bermugula’s surface. I see this as a pretty hard-hitting event for Oxide, because as far as I know, he’s only ever crashed his ship... 2 times (and they’re both on Terra, funnily enough)? and I don’t know if they were before or after the events of this game (probably after).

Also I apologize for the nokia brick-phones, it’s... literally the only phone I know how to draw lmao

Despite my hatred toward him since CNK, I kinda like his true form design: he's not that menacing and I don't feel intimitated by him... But I still feel fustrated when i see him around... ^^;;;
