I’m Here to Bully Satan for his Fashion Choices Because No One Else in the Obey Me Fandom Will

Everyone in the Obey Me fandom is either too nice or has been brainwashed by uwu otome vibes, because I haven’t seen anyone bully Satan for his fashion and this boy really needs to be called out. (Disclaimer: Satan is my favorite. I can still love him and recognize his fashion is absolute shite.)

When you first meet him, you’re deceived into thinking he can dress himself just because he’s in uniform. The only evidence of what’s to come is his sus chartreuse bowtie.  

Then, you’re assaulted with his casual outfit.

1) Why is he wearing only one sleeve of his knockoff Adidas sports jacket 

2) That nasty?? Chartreuse V-neck sweater?? Over a black tshirt??? 

3) THE TEAL PANTS

4) THAT GAUDY WHITE BELT WITH GOLD EMBELLISHMENTS???

This is just a disaster in of itself, but when you find the full body reference, it gets worse.

Sometimes, this is just the result of every character in a franchise dressing wack, but his brothers???

ALL DRESS LIKE NORMAL ASS PEOPLE. Sure, Asmo wears his scarf kind of dumb and Belphie shouldn’t be wearing his PJs with boots, but none of them thought to teach their baby emotion brother to NOT DRESS LIKE THIS?? 

But Satan didn’t just stop at his casual outfit. He was like, my demon form’s outfit can be JUST as much as a disaster. 

There’s just. So much. About this. That is not right. 

1) This ugly ass ribbon/tie/ribcage mess

2) This gaudy cowboy belt which is somehow WORSE than his casual outfit’s white belt

3) His carefully acid-washed (??) polka dot pants 

4) The feather boa which HONESTLY MAY HAVE BEEN ACCEPTABLE IF LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE WASN’T THERE. 

5) And to top it off, Satan was like don’t worry, my tail can be an accessory too, I’ll wrap it around my leg

AND ONCE AGAIN. HIS BROTHERS’ DEMON FORMS. ARE COMPLETELY. FINE.

Honestly the worst things here are the cut of Levi’s jacket (tho I understand if he wants to show that weebs have abs too) and Belphie’s damn horseshoe, but it’s nothing compared to THIS!!!!!!!!!!

With the butler outfits, Satan’s is marginally better than the two disasters above, but his patchwork is far more jarring than everyone else’s and that 1) ruffled sleeve cuff and 2) striped tie tucked into the corset really isn’t vibing.  

Honestly, his only acceptable outfit is from the Arabian event which is unfortunately problematic in of itself a;sldkjfa

(I’m not including the Animal event because he didn’t dress himself, the curse did) And it’s so jarringly better than all of his other outfits that you start to wonder if he actually dressed himself until you notice…

The damn gaudy white belt. 

In conclusion, 

If only on the premise that Lucifer did not impart any of his fashion knowledge to the emotion he birthed, Satan’s hatred for him is completely valid and acceptable. 

Satan probably has an entire closet of gaudy white belts because his favorite detective character has a fancy white belt in the live action adaptation.

Think about it, what better explanation for why Phantom has a Fenton Thermos and why some of the other inventions get ‘accidently’ destroyed by their kids? Obvs Danny being a protective boyfriend. duh. 

Or how Danny somehow always disappears during attacks and reappears after them? Phantom must warn him!!!!

Or how Dash gets ghostly pranks when he bullies Danny? His boyf obvs got his back!

Or why the Fentons hate Phantom so much, they must know theyre dating and dont approve of the interspecies relasonship!

After the school ‘figures’ it out they’re all nicer to him (cuz why else would Danny support Phantom from the begining) (except Paulina) (she hates and constantly tries to prove that shes waaaaayyy better than Danny and Phantom should date her instead)
