Basement finds for today. I'm finishing the last of the shelves...so almost the last finds. A Delco Light Exide glass battery jar from my great grandparents home in Prosperity, SC. This was what people in more rural areas had to provide electric light to their homes in the early 1900's. I have one of the 12 they used to power lights in the home until the early 1920's. At one point, there was also a glass lid that fit the top...but it went long ago. Amazing this survived considering I kept it in my college dorm room, and filed it with beer tabs...LOTS OF BEER TABS. My ESSO piggy bank. This is probably from the 1950's or early 60's. I've had it my entire life, and used it to save my change to buy comics well into my teens. My 'leatherette' soft side Coca-Cola cooler. This went to so many skate contests and demos in my teens. I think this was from the 1950's and was found when clearing out my grandfather's dry goods store in Newberry, SC. My penny gumball lamp. My grandfather was a serial entrepreneur, and one of his businesses was gumball and prize machines in the late 60's, early 70's. This is one of three that my father made into lamps in the late 1970's for myself, @ruffian925 and @rrreed2014. I think one was red, one blue, and maybe gold? (What colors were yours Ian and Becca?) He was very careful to make sure that they still worked as gumball machines when he made them into the lamp. I removed the lamp rod and socket years ago when the wiring failed. Hopefully I'll restore the lamp function at some point. These are last to be packed because they honestly are some of my most prized possessions. Each one has a story and emotions attached to them. When I started packing I didn't have any idea how much I had saved from my childhood, but I'm very glad I did. Each find has made me realize how lucky I was to grow up in the time I did. So...here's to cherished memories and old trinkets! . . #basementfinds #delcoexide #delcobattery #esso #essopiggy #cocacola #gumballmachine #memories #emotionalattachment (at Chateau Ruff-N-Baker) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMC2vgXDb1m/?igshid=1oqdvj1xszumx

How To Cut Etheric Cords And Release Emotional Attachments
Feverish, Rachel rolled over on her side and shivered. She had been ill for three days, and the sickness seemed to be the cruelest of all she had experienced. Not only was her body weak, but Rachel had also been undergoing vivid visions of painful experiences with past lovers.
Every time she closed her eyes, she was swept into another daunting memory, and the memories so powerful she felt as if she was reliving them.
“Why is this happening to me?” she cried. Rachel took a deep breath in an attempt to calm her mind. “This isn’t a normal cold,” Rachel thought.
The psychological component was tearing her emotional body in four different directions. The constant downloads of information from past lovers clogged her mind.
Her heart filled with old aches and pains making it difficult to breathe. Rachel was a strong woman who could usually withstand anything, but this sickness had brought her to her knees.
She wept alone on her bed, and as the tears streamed down her soft cheeks, a brilliant idea began to form. Rachel scrambled out of bed and walked directly to her bookshelf. She pulled out a book called Angel Medicine and flipped directly to the page bookmarked energetic cords and emotional attachments.
After devouring the information, she required, Rachel slipped on sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and put her hair in a high messy bun. She gathered the necessary items to perform a releasing ceremony (Paper, pot, matches, sage) and made her way into the backyard.
You see, Rachel like many others was suffering from negative energetic/etheric cords. She knew it was time to finally severe these chords as they were affecting her physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
An etheric cord is a hollow tube that runs energy back and forth to a person or object. We often form chords with those we are intimate with or close to. This chord acts as a channel of communication, which of course when the relationship is healthy can be quite pleasing.
However, when the relationship turns ugly, the chord still remains and allows the sending and receiving of psychic energy. These cords are detrimental to new relationships and often take up space in one’s heart thus inhibiting the ability to fully move on, and increasing the chances of one to be stuck in the past.
Symptoms of Negative Cording
Unable to stop thinking or obsessing about a person
Frequent conversations in your mind with a person
Frequently remembering what they said in the past, feeling their ongoing judgment or criticism
Arguments, sometimes daily in your mind with someone (these can be actual psychic       arguments)
Constant memories or emotions that arise – i.e. we used to watch that show together
Temptation to go back to a relationship that does not serve you
Stalking another online through social networking, watching them compulsively
Unable to sleep, or endless processing of the past
Deep feelings of sadness, anger, and depression around the past
Feelings of wanting to get revenge, or constantly aware of unfair treatment
Crying a whole lot, an emotional wreck
Turning down other offers and invitations, stuck in the past, feeling uninterested
Rachel sat down with a pen and paper and began to write down the names of the people she wished to severe chords with. The first name that popped into her mind was her first boyfriend, Jackson. She then called Jackson’s name into the cold night sky, summoning his energy. She brought her attention to her body to feel where the chord was located.
Suddenly, she felt as if there were hands grasped around her throat. Struggling, she closed her eyes and found herself standing in front of her ex. “What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you to stay home? You’re dressed like a slut,” Jackson spat.
“I am not your girlfriend anymore Jack, and I can do what I want,” Rachel said slightly intimated. Jackson smiled, moved closer, and placed one hand around her small neck, slowly closing off her air supply. “Jack stop it!” she cried.
Rachel kicked her legs and was able to knee him hard in the stomach. Doubling over, Jackson dropped Rachel to her knees. Following her instinct, Rachel picked herself off the ground and ran.
Falling back into the present and her physical body, Rachel opened her eyes to feel the small piece of paper with his name written on it. It felt as heavy as a brick. She lit a match, sparked the paper, and watched as his name slowly burned into ash.
As the fire licked at the paper, Rachel felt a hand release off of her throat. “I release you,” she whispered with every intention to severe the etheric cord that once connected her to Jackson.
Take a second and imagine all of the people you may be connected with, all of the cords that could possibly be draining you. Funny, we take the time to clean our physical body every day. We brush our teeth and take showers, yet we don’t think to clean our energetic bodies regularly.
By cutting old cords and attachments, you are making room for the new. You will gain freedom from another, the freedom I know that you desire. You won’t have to receive random thoughts about your ex’s or feel anger from an old best friend.
Cutting cords is an intentional process. You have to desire truly to move on, and stop connecting with the other person or object. If you have any secret urge to carry on with the open connection, cutting the cord will not work!
It is solely based on your truest desires. You have all of the power to sever a cord with anyone who is bothering you psychically or intruding on your emotions or thoughts.
A failed attempt at cutting a cord indicates that you may not be ready to move on yet. This leaves an opportunity to question why you are not ready, and why you are still holding on. Possibly there is a lesson you still have to learn.
Many suffer from negative attachments, so I created a ceremonial technique to release them.
Write a letter to the person who is holding the attachment with you. Make sure to be honest and say everything that you want to gain closure.
Make sure to put the person’s full name.
Call out the person’s name, close your eyes and summon his/her energy.
Read the letter out loud and affirm each word.
Burn the letter in the fire.
Place your hand over your heart or wherever else you feel the attachment lives and say, “I release the emotional attachment to (full name).” Repeat until you feel the attachment release, and close.
For the next few days, you will feel the person trying to look for you, but it is your job to say simply “No” or “You are no longer wanted here” or “Please leave.” Imagine yourself protected in white light particularly where the attachment once was. Also, depending on your faith structure, you can always call on what/who you believe to be the higher power to help you in the release.
Freedom is waiting for you! Everybody can benefit from cutting off negative attachments to those who are no longer serving you. Release the old and reclaim your energy!
Much love to all...go in peace my friends
