Additional Speculation On Season Storylines (Listed by team) List does not include all NFL teams
Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders fire Josh McDaniels after starting 2-10 and losing to the Chiefs Week 12 in Las Vegas, and promote defensive coordinator Patrick Graham to be their interim head coach.
Patrick Graham will finish the season with a record of 2-3, leaving the Raiders with a final record of 4-13.
The Raiders will fire general Manager Dave Ziegler, interim coach Patrick Graham, and a majority of the rest of McDaniels' staff after the regular season is completed.
Tennessee Titans
Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill gets injured early in the season, and the Titans allow scond-year QB Malik Willis and rookie Will Levis to struggle for the starting spot before Levis wins it outright after during Tennessee's bye week in Week 7.
Levis then manages to lead the Titans to an 8-3 record from the bye week on, putting up Rookie of the Year-worthy numbers... if he had started the full season.
The Titans still manage to fall in the Wildcard Round to a tough Browns team, but this year still cements Levis as the starting quarterback going into 2024, with Tannehill likely to be moved by the front office in the offseason.
Washington Commanders
Ron Rivera is fired after a Week 16 loss to the Jets, finishing his season in Washington with a record of 4-11. Assistant head coach and Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is promoted to be the interim head coach.
Bieniemy then coaches the Commanders to a 2-0 record in the final games, and after the season, his interim tag is dropped in order to make Eric Bieniemy the full-time head coach of the Washington Commanders in 2024.
Aside
Originally, I had afew wonkier predictions, namely the Cardinals and Colts trading their respective picks to quarterback-needy teams so those unnamed teams could select one of USC QB Caleb Williams or UNC QB Drake Maye.
My only reservation was that by the time October comes around, we're gonna have seen a much better sample size of football in 2023, so I'm certain I'll have opinions on it. I'd just like to save some for the wilder stuff for when there's a clearer picture to expand upon.
Ideally, I'd like to do one of these at the end of every month of the season, so we'll see how that goes.
End of the way, I wanted to put something out to reign in the new year, and I hope you're along for the ride.
Now who's ready for some mothafuckin football?

THE CW NETWORK SETS SUPER TUESDAYS THIS SPRING AS “SUPERMAN & LOIS” RETURNS AND “GOTHAM KNIGHTS” DEBUTS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
“Superman & Lois” Season Three Takes Flight at 8:00pm ET/PT
New Heroes Will Rise When “Gotham Knights” Premieres at 9:00pm ET/PT
The CW Network today announced the third season of the hit drama SUPERMAN & LOIS—the network’s most-watched series of 2022—will premiere on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the series debut of GOTHAM KNIGHTS (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
“The new season of The CW’s biggest show SUPERMAN & LOIS alongside our most exciting new series GOTHAM KNIGHTS will make Tuesdays a can’t-miss night of action,” said Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment, The CW Network. “With the iconic characters and gritty streets that everyone knows, fans will experience the best season yet of SUPERMAN & LOIS and be introduced to a hunted group of crime fighters out for vengeance, following in Batman’s footsteps on GOTHAM KNIGHTS.”
In GOTHAM KNIGHTS, Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS.
From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM KNIGHTS is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams. Fiveash and Stoteraux serve as showrunners and executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman. Abrams also serves as co-executive producer. Danny Cannon directed and served as an executive producer on the pilot, along with David Madden. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.
Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Sarah Schechter, Brent Fletcher, and Geoff Johns.
TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
8:00-9:00pm SUPERMAN & LOIS (Season 3 Premiere)
9:00-10:00pm GOTHAM KNIGHTS (Series Premiere)

He gained national attention with his appearance on the Comedy Central series "I'm a Grown Little Man" in 2009, and since then has gone on to release several successful comedy specials, including "Laugh at My Pain," "Let Me Explain," and "What Now?" In addition to his work in stand-up comedy, Hart has also made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as an actor. Despite some controversies in the past, including the resurfacing of past homophobic tweets and jokes, Hart has remained a popular figure in the entertainment industry and continues to perform and produce new content for his fans. "Die Hart" is a television series that centers around Kevin Hart's quest to become an action star. The show first premiered on July 20, 2020, with Hart as the central character. The highly anticipated second season, titled "Die Hart: Die Harter," was released on March 31, 2023. This season promises even more intense drama and comedy than the previous one. To give you a taste of what's to come, here's a brief recap of season 2 of "Die Hart." 'Die Hart 2: Die Harter' Story Recap Season 2 of the popular series "Die Hart" starring Kevin Hart, opens with the comedian pitching his latest idea for a live-action movie to Debra Simon, a studio executive played by Melissa Ponzio. Unfortunately, his pitch is rejected, leaving him feeling dejected and frustrated. Thankfully, Kevin has a loyal and dedicated assistant named Andre (Ben Schwartz), who always has his back. Andre is willing to do anything to protect Kevin and ensure his success. Desperate to get his movie made, Kevin discovers a mysterious man named Karl Stomberg, who expresses interest in his script and offers to make it happen. Excited by the prospect of finally getting his big break as an action star, Kevin agrees to meet with Stomberg. However, things take a dangerous turn when Stomberg unexpectedly throws a dart at Kevin, knocking him unconscious. When Kevin wakes up, he finds himself in the midst of a dangerous and deadly game that he must navigate if he hopes to survive and complete his movie. Upon waking up, Kevin discovers a masked assailant attempting to murder him using an assortment of tools. However, Kevin manages to outsmart the attacker and narrowly escapes the perilous situation. Deluded by the chaos, Kevin mistakenly assumes that he's part of a live-action movie shoot and begins to play along with the script. Later, he discovers that the danger is all too real and stumbles upon his favorite co-star, Jordan (Nathalie Emmanuel), who has been taken hostage in the same location. Kevin hastily unties Jordan and encourages her to act along, unaware of the genuine danger they face. A 'Hart-Felt' Comedy After being shot while trying to escape, Kevin and Jordan are aided by Andre, who helps them flee the disastrous situation. However, when they finally reach Kevin's home, they are stunned to find that it has been taken over by an unknown intruder. Recalling a past incident, Kevin comes to the conclusion that his former stuntman, Doug, who bears an uncanny resemblance to him, may be responsible for the takeover. Kevin had mistreated Doug and terminated his employment, which must've motivated Doug to seek revenge against Kevin. Kevin's mistreatment of his crew and his unjust firing of Andre, who was only trying to protect him, reveal his arrogance and narcissism. He believes that his hard work has earned him the title of one of the best comedians, but he fails to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of his crew members, who have played an important role in his success. The storyline takes an interesting turn as, after realizing that Doug is causing his own problems, Kevin decides to seek help from Doug's mentor, Mr. 206 (played by John Cena), in order to find a solution. Mr. 206 advises Kevin that it is unlikely that he can defeat Doug, who i
s stronger than him, but that Andre, who is on Kevin's side, could potentially make a difference because Doug doesn't have a sidekick. John Cena delivers a hilarious performance as Mr. 206, and his on-screen presence is remarkable. During their conversation, Kevin realizes that Mr. 206 is the same masked man who previously tried to kill him, causing him to leave Mr. 206's premises with Andre in fear. 'Die Hart 2: Die Harter' Ending Explained In order to address the urgent situation, Kevin teams up with Andre, Jordan, and Andre's mother, Cynthia (Paula Pell), to sneak into his house using a clever plan. Andre disguises himself as a plumber, and Kevin climbs inside a wooden box in the back of Andre's vehicle to evade the bodyguard. Meanwhile, Cynthia distracts the bodyguard while Jordan uses a Taser to render him unconscious, preventing any potential issues. However, while trapped inside the box, Hart becomes increasingly anxious as Mr. 206 unexpectedly cuts open the box and attacks him. The situation escalates quickly as Kevin finds himself in a precarious position, with Mr. 206 attempting to kill him. Fortunately, Jordan saves the day by throwing a knife straight into Mr. 206's head, knocking him down, and ending the threat. Doug startles Kevin and Jordan by capturing Andre and threatening to harm him. Kevin suddenly realizes how much Andre has done for him and begins to appreciate his sacrifices and care. However, Doug's malevolent intentions escalate when he hurls Andre onto the upper floor, causing him a serious injury. The climax of "Die Hart" Season 2 commences with Kevin and Jordan battling Doug. The stunt double’s intriguingly uncanny resemblance to Kevin allowed him access to his home and personal possessions. Now, Doug is unwilling to give up his ideal life as he tries to eliminate Kevin and take his place in society. Luckily, despite his injuries, Andre comes to Kevin's aid once more, thwarting Doug's attempt to kill him and bringing the drama to an end. In the concluding segment of "Die Hart 2: Die Harter," Kevin treats his loved ones and crew members to lunch, expressing his gratitude for their dedication and hard work. However, a scene in which Doug is supposedly imprisoned reveals a surprising twist, as it appears that the real Kevin Hart was in prison all along, while Doug has somehow taken his place in society. This unexpected turn of events sets the stage for possible future seasons of "Die Hart." The "Die Hart" series expertly blends drama and comedy with its distinctive combination of comedic timing, action sequences, and nods to WWE moves, such as Roman Reigns' "Superman Punch." This infusion of humor adds a distinct flavor to the franchise. The plot revolves around Kevin's yearning to become an action hero, which causes him to overlook the sacrifices of his crew members. Eventually, he realizes the value of his loved ones and learns a valuable lesson. The final scene's plot twist is especially intriguing and is sure to leave viewers eagerly anticipating future "Die Hart" projects.

The Twentieth Century
If Guy Maddin’s films and the Monty Python movies had a child — which would be physically impossible, but who doesn’t love stretching a metaphor — it would be Matthew Rankin’s THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (2019, Criterion through month’s end). A fantasia on the diaries of Canada’s longest-serving prime minister, Mackenzie King (no, Stephen Harper’s reign just felt like the longest), the film is a mish mosh of Canadian history, making political rivals and colleagues of people who never competed or served together. At the urging of his mother (Louis Negin), King (Dan Beine) enters the contest to become prime minister. After excelling in events like ribbon cutting and baby-seal whacking, he comes in second, throwing his dreams into the ash bin, at least for the moment. Rankin stages the film on stylized sets, casts against race and gender and posits the unmarried King as a compulsive masturbator with a shoe fetish, while Conservative rival Arthur Meighan (Brent Skagford) comes on to him. It’s all a gleeful jumble of history, designed to prick the more reverent approaches to Canadiana fostered by costume dramas and the “Heritage Minutes” while also tweaking the nation’s inferiority complex (Have they looked across their southern border?) with jokes about the flag as “The National Disappointment” and advice to “Do more than is your duty. Expect less than is your right.” Beine plays King with wide-eyed innocence, even as he’s stealing shoes to sniff, while Negin, a Guy Maddin regular, turns his mother into the Lady Bracknell of your dreams. There’s also a very deft performance by Sean Cullen as the Governor-General, here depicted as a quasi-Fascist dictator. There is one joke, however, with which I must take exception. Cullen’s eldest daughter, Lady Violet (Emmanuel Schwartz), describes the nation as “just one failed orgasm after another.” I can assure you, that has not been my experience.

SUBLIME CINEMA #518 - LAURENCE ANYWAYS
Canada has a great film community and funding scheme which helps prop up young filmmakers, helps get them funding, helps them to thrive and eventually work within the wider world. Case in point: Quebec, a relatively tiny province which has exported many great directors in recent years. There’s Xavier Dolan, who started as a director at 18 with a rather great debut J’ai Tué Ma Mere, and recently directed Adele’s last music video. Denis Villeneuve went on to make Blade Runner 2049 and now Dune. Jean Marc Vallee; the Dallas Buyers Club, Sharp Objects... Talented sure, but with the means behind them, and the support to help cultivate talent.
Dolan earned his stripe as a wunderkind, all of his films have ended up at Cannes; he has an eye for beauty, but also a raw improv quality that makes scenes in his films pop.
