Year 1624

TW/CW: Miscarriage

Isabella celebrated her birthday and while she began to develop a bad habit of theft, she was the spitting image of her mother.

Karmine took on a more active role with the children of the house because this time around her pregnancy was treating her far more kindly. She was excited to have so much energy. Vincente couldn't help but imagine just how nice it would be to have the kids grow up together. The somber mood of the household began to lift as winter gave way to spring.

Francisco and Karmine tried to busy themselves with the crops on the farm which wasn't hard to do. They didn't want to hope only for their hopes to be dashed again but they'd exchange looks that couldn't contain their dreams.

Ramon returned home for a visit during the less busy days mentioning that Easter preparations were to begin in a a few days, just enough to stop by and meet his niece and nephew and check in on his family in Tartosa since he was living in the church in San Sequoia. The distance wasn't too far. Giulia had been too shy to really meet her Uncle but Piero was happy to let the visitor hold him though Ramon was rather uncomfortable with dealing with young kids.

Karmine had barely begun to show her pregnancy when she was gripped with painful cramps and bleeding. It was no surprise that the next night she lost the pregnancy. In a way she was grateful she didn't have to deliver another stillborn but she was just as devastated with this loss as she was before.

Vincente took it upon himself to keep the children entertained while his brother and sister-in-law grieved their loss. Alexis did her best to comfort them given that her first pregnancy had ended in a loss at around the same time in the pregnancy but it was difficult to convince them of the future after two consecutive losses. It also didn't help that Alexis had once again learned she was pregnant.

The Carlisle family dealt with their own complicated feelings throughout the spring and summer and Autumn brought with it Emma Robles's thirteenth birthday. She grew into a lovely young lady and was celebrated by her entire family including her cousins who made a point to visit.

Alexis woke up in December to labor pains that came much too soon. She had expected to deliver sometime between February and March of the next year but her body had other plans. She couldn't help but wonder if this was caused by her children being born so close together.

Late at night on December 18th, Osana Carlisle was born. She was the tiniest baby Alexis had ever laid eyes on and knowing the dangers of early births, it was unclear if she would survive but she was full of life.

In fear that their daughter would pass sooner rather than later, the Carlisle family made sure to shower the little one with all the love they could give. Though Giulia and Piero were not fond of their sister. Giulia didn't understand why the grown-ups spent more time with the baby and not her. Piero just wanted the little crying thing out of his house. Against the odds, as the year drew to a close, Osana only grew stronger in strength.

1307 - Day 1

The heavy rain that begins in spring makes the fields sprout fast.

Also, Finnian finally put aside his anxieties and starts bonding with his son.

Emma couldn't be happier. With Finnian taking his share of parenting seriusly she can fulfill her duties as the homemaker a little bit better.

With the second hen now producing eggs, She can finally cook some new recipes!

"Finn, I've been thinking... Would it be possible for you to build a barn for summer? I would really like to sell some of our preserves to the neighbours but if I need to buy milk every time..."

"Of course! We need to think were to build it, though, the backyard is a little cramped now. But we could always cultivate the fields on the other side of the property."

Finnian gets to work right away. It may take some time to finish, though, he still has his contracts with the Robles.

He did manage to bring a big percentage of his last payment to the Earl, though, reducing their debt to only 12.000 simoleons.

Back at home, Emma gets a visit by her father with some family news.

"It's a little hard for me to tell you, but my new wife just gave birth to another baby. I didn't even know it was possible at our age to still grow our family."

"Really? Is she alright, is the baby okay? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't know... I didn't know what you would think about it. She's alright, though, the midwife said everything went fine."

"That makes me really happy. Are you happy, too?"

"Yes and no. You know I've been getting on with my years so I don't know how much longer I can care for the little boy. We named him Emanuel."

"Did you hear that, Daniel? You have a little uncle."

Life in Henford is good as well. Jayden and Leah developed a really close relationship after Jayden lost out on her first few years because of his duties. He's happy just being a father now... and a good blacksmith as well.

Tara managed to start the cultivation of their land with a few seeds she found while foraging. She has a little helper in Leah and even some rabbits come to visit.

Por la mañana, el día 29 de enero de 2024, los alumnos de Educación Infantil acudieron al Auditorio de León para ver una obra de teatro que constaba de cuatro cuentos:

Te quiero un huevo.

Tilo en el Nilo

Un extraño vecino.

En estas obras trabajaron la empatía, el amor propio, la diversión y el respeto por el planeta.

La autora de estos cuentos se llama Emma S. Varela, que, además, es leonesa.

Mientras contaba los cuentos, estaba acompañada de una banda llamado “Los músicos de Bremen”, que tocaban música clásica. Esto hacía que los cuentos fuesen más amenos para los pequeños, que se lo pasaron realmente bien.

Podcast Adventure le film II et l'arc 1 : Teenage Years VO VS VA

Si le film marche, on aurais la possibilité de faire une suite de la fanfiction, ainsi que le premier arc de Podcast Adventure.

Le deuxième film se déroule après l'arc 1 donc en printemps 2014. Comme dans les Simpson, Bob l'éponge ou Pokémon, les âges reste les même. Il se déroule la moitie de la saison 3 d'Amphibia, la saison deux de Luz à Osville et entre la saison 1 et deux de Dead End : le parc des paranormal.

Durant l'arc 1, il se déroule après le premier film et les spin-off. Le premier épisode se déroule après l'Ecosse, tandis que l'épisode 2 et 6 se déroule avant le premier film et comme je l'ai dit : il se déroule à New-York et à Royal Wood

Queridas Helen y Aline,

Emma y yo cogimos el tren desde la estación de Paddington bastante temprano (supongo que podríamos haber ido al Instituto y ver si nos dejaban usar el Portal, pero parecía un problema y además, no es nuestro primer viaje en tren por Inglaterra).

Nos bajamos del tren en Exeter, una ciudad desmadejada con una gran catedral de estilo Gótico. Tessa nos estaba esperando para recogernos en un Mini de color verde con Mina sentada en un asiento para niños en la parte de atrás. Llevaba puestas unas gafas de buceo. Me recordó a Tavvy cuando era más pequeño. Emma se puso atrás y jugó a cucú tras con Mina; yo hablé con Tessa mientras atravesábamos pastos de un increíble verde. Odio cuando la gente dice “Parece de película”, pero es que lo parecía de verdad. No podía parar de querer bajarme del coche y pintar el paisaje.

Atravesamos una gran entrada y luego seguimos por un camino largo, bordeado de robles y álamos. Pensé que estábamos en algún tipo de parque nacional; había senderos y mucha vegetación y flores. Tessa me dijo que las violeta eran campanillas (pensé que serían azules la verdad) y las amarillas eran celidonias. Pasamos por una gran casa de cristal y luego llegamos a lo que juro pensé que era un castillo.

Había oído que Cirenworth era un lugar lujoso, pero no había pensado cuánto. Está esta enorme pila de piedra dorada con pequeñas torretas y ventanas llenas de vidrio emplomado. También hay un gran amino circular frente a la casa, y aparcamos allí, justo frente a unos escalones que podrían haber estado perfectamente en la entrada de un museo. Jem y Kit estaban esperando arriba en las escaleras y Mina comenzó a chillar de alegría en el momento que los vio. Fue bastante mono.

Nos dieron un tour por la casa, y resultó que solo usaban la mitad de esta, pues la otra estaba cerrada ya que era demasiado para poder cuidar de todo. Pregunté si tendrían que renovar el lugar y Jem dijo que no, que nunca se había deteriorado como lo había hecho Blackthorn Hall. Tessa dijo que la tuvo que redecorar porque era bastante oscura y “un poco mohosa” cuando se mudaron, pero ya comentó la redecoraría. Por lo que se ve, hizo lo mismo con todo el Instituto de Londres hace mucho tiempo. Le pregunté sobre las reformas, pero me dijo que, cuando redecoró el Instituto, la fontanería era algo bastante reciente.

Kit dijo que tuvieron que pusieron el internet en Cirenworth (¿pones internet en las cosas? Emma dijo que “instalas el internet”. Creo que ambas son correctas) para él, ya que lo usa para la escuela. Creo que está feliz aquí. Nos señaló las cosas que le gustaban de cada habitación… y fueron muchas habitaciones distintas. Una gran biblioteca con sillones de oro, una sala de juegos con una mesa de billar (creo que se llama así), una piscina interior, un puñado de oficinas, una sala de música, un sala de coser. Quiero decir, seguramente tengan una habitación solo para lamer sellos y pegarlos en cartas.

Me di cuenta de que esto era lo más que había podido ver de Kit desde que se vino a vivir con Tessa y Jem. Hablé con él mientras Tessa le mostraba a Emma la galería de retratos de los Carstairs pasados. Kit está mucho más alto, casi a mi misma altura, y su voz suena más profunda. Me di cuenta de que también se le ve más mayor, igual que Ty. La imagen que tenía de él era la misma a cuando le vi por primera vez. Pero no; ha estado creciendo. Es un hombre. Creo. Casi.

Me dijo que quería enseñarme algo en el jardín, así que le seguí fuera a través de las puertas francesas. Era un lugar con gran vegetación. Había fresales, pero sin fresas (aun no era la época) y había un reloj de sol roto en el medio. Kit dijo, sin mirarme, que si me encontraba incomodo al estar con él, o si no le quería ver, que podría fingir que tener dolor de cabeza e irse a la cama.

Me quedé asombrado. Le pregunté porque me molestaría que estuviese aquí. Pateó algo de barro con sus botas y finalmente dijo:

—Por… por él.

No dije nada de primeras. Tenía miedo de hacerlo. Kit había parecido estar bien, riendo y haciendo bromas y cogiendo a Mina en brazos para que subiera a sus hombros. Ahora me recordaba más a cuando el conocí por primera vez, o incluso a como Mark había estado cuando había vuelto de la Cacería Salvaje.

Frágil.

—¿Te refieres a Ty?

Asintió con rigidez.

—Eres su hermano —dijo—. Quiero decir, hablo con Dru, y ella es su hermana, pero… siempre fuiste más que un hermano mayor. Eras como su padre. Sé que le criaste. Supongo que lo que quería decir es que, si estuvieses de su parte… no te culparía.

Dije:

—Ty nunca me ha indicado que hubiera ningún bando en ell que estar.

Kit me miró.

—¿No… no lo ha hecho?

—Sé que no os habláis —dije—. Y no sé por qué. Ty nunca me dijo nada. Pero nunca te ha culpado o ha dicho que fuera por algo que hubieses hecho. La gente se pelea —añadí—. Suele pasar. Me gustaría que fueseis amigos de nuevo, porque cuando era así, era algo especial.

Ty había estado tan feliz. Pero eso no lo dije.

—De todas maneras, y a pesar de lo que pasase entre tú y Ty, pasamos por mucho juntos. Siempre serás uno de nosotros. Siempre serás de la familia.

—Significa mucho —dijo Kit con voz ronca.

Después de esto todos fuimos a cenar, y hablamos de muchas cosas… incluido el hijo de Tessa, James Herondale, y como una vez tuvo una pistola que funcionaba con demonios, algo que hizo que Kit se entusiasmase…

Esta carta se está haciendo muy larga y quería hablaros principalmente de Kit. Supongo que no me di cuenta de lo infeliz que estaba con su situación con Ty. Me pregunto si el hecho de que no intervengamos está funcionando. Quiero decir, sé que es asunto suyo, ¿pero y si Ty también está infeliz? ¿Deberíamos hacer algo?

Year 1617

TW/CW: Miscarriage

The year began with Frideswide's absence being felt from when she left to return home to her husband and sons as Adrian and the boys tended to the family home. Francisco enjoyed the work in the garden though he was also happy to see the funds from selling their excess harvest build up so he could pursue his true calling.

June rolled around when the funds were finally enough both Ramon and Francisco were elated though they both worried that some unfortunate event would rob them again of what they wished to pursue. Still the moment was nice.

Frideswide returned to Tartosa again in early July. Her sons could hardly recognize her but she felt like a failure as a mother that once she confirmed they were fine and had been growing up well, them not knowing her didn't actually bother her all that much. She had always had an idea for life for herself and becoming a mother so young simply wasn't a part of that. In a way she was glad that her husband hadn't minded her leaving for years still she wondered if something was wrong with her for feeling so unattached to them. She had gotten to know her boys again and spent time with her husband and in-laws but the longer she stayed the more she felt like she simply didn't belong there so once her theatre troop left she didn't see much reason not to come home.

Of course once again she had returned home pregnant but she had hardly arrived at the threshold of the property when the cramps overtook her and she lost her pregnancy.

Frideswide hated that she had lost another pregnancy especially as news that Grace was expecting again came to the family but she was also relieved. She didn't want to take a break from her career which was just starting to take off again and she didn't want to go back to her marital home to be harassed because of another child but she also had hoped for her family to be together again even if she didn't exactly want another child so soon.

Then came the triplet's birthday marking them as adults. The mood was soured by the fact that the same evening Francisco and Ramon were leaving to follow their futures. It was bittersweet to have the last time for the next few years together be at a milestone birthday. More worrying was hushed talks around about tense atmospheres in the world, talks of war breaking out ate at the backs of their mind. If war broke out and Vincente had to fight, would this be the last they ever saw of each other? Still nothing was set in stone so they chose to ignore their worries but as they gathered their things to part ways it was hard to hide the looks on their faces.

Still time went on and Grace was actually enjoying her pregnancy with her second this time around. She was still petrified about what the actual delivery but the pregnancy was a lot easier and with her relationships with her husband and in-laws being a lot more stable than with her first she truly felt like a Robles this time around. There was a lot of gossip to talk about especially when she learned that William had become a father which was odd to think about since he was her cousin's son but it was nice to think about her baby having a friend their age. Aurelio was also enjoying being a father to his little girl and was excited to have another baby around the house especially with Emma growing bigger.

1304 - Day 3

Jayden has returned to Windeburg! He can stay for a few days before he has to be at the barracks again, but he only has to serve one more year and then he's free to choose another life.... or take on his duties as a squire for even more years for possible knighthood.

Tara is overjoyed to see him and he finally meets his daughter.

They bond right away but then again, Leah is such a sunny infant she never had a problem with anybody.

With his brother-in-law back, Evan tries to become even better at archery. He wants to visit Jayden at the barracks again and show of his skills to the other squires. It's his dream to one day be one himself.

In the evening the McCairn couple has a little time alone...

"You know, with Leah in your arms you are even more beautiful to me than you were before."

Over at the old Dresden place, Finnian built a crib for the baby!

He also finished the chairs for the Robles so he leaves early one day to deliver them with a borrowed carriage. The Robles seem pleased and promise more orders for his service in the future.

Finnian doesn't like to leave Emma home alone, but he has to provide for the small family. She is now heavily pregnant and spends her days mostly inside or with the chicks who still have not grown yet.

She doesn't feel that good today, there's little pricks of pain here and there throughout the morning...

When she goes outside to feed the chicks she doubles over in pain.

What's this? What's happening? Is this what labour feels like? After about half an hour she's lying on the floor exhausted and devastated.... Her baby boy did not survive the birth. He was stillborn.

Finnian finds her by the lake when he returns in the afternoon.

"...Emma?"

She runs into his arms sobbing and after few minutes she manages to tell him what happened.

"I couldn't do anything, I'm sorry.... I'm sorry.... I'm sorry, Finn."

He looks over to the bench, where his son is bundled up in white linen. He swallows heavily.

"I'm sorry, too. I should have been here with you."

They spend a while in each others arms and decide to bury their son between the trees at the back of their property. He's not baptized, so he can't be layed to rest at the cemetary, but they name him Phillip anyway.

Tessa estaba esperando para recogernos en un Mini Cooper verde de carreras con Mina atada a un asiento para niños en la parte trasera, con gafas. Ella me recordó a Tavvy cuando era más pequeño. Emma se metió en la parte de atrás y jugó ¿Dónde está el bebé? con Mina, y yo charlé con Tessa mientras avanzábamos por el hermoso campo verde.
